HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Chancellery fleet had been devised as a means to project power and strength through the means of a large, well built flagship and a good combination of carriers and superbly powerful star destroyers. The designs themselves had already been existent during the time when the members of the Zweihander Union were still part of the Imperial directorate, but only recently were these designs pushed through in the sense that it was necessary to have a fleet which could both act as a forward base of operations and workstation when the Chancellor of the Left was not present upon the homeworld of Schesa or as a deterent towards potential enemies, as the core fleet was capable of combining with other fleets in several configurations deviced for specific tasks and needs the Union had.
As a rapid response to the growing tensions in the galaxy, it was decided that the core fleet would brand a unique symbol of its own, to make it easily recognisable as the fleet carrying one of the leading representatives of the Union, thus acting as an inspiring symbol ofunity and solidarity among the naval forces, but also as a symbol of pride and power to those that dared to oppose the will of the Union.
Though this is the current design, there is no presedent witholding the fleet from expanding or alternating its core ships within the foreseeable future.
