How long had it been since an Imperial set foot on the core world of Anaxes?

A few centuries?

A millennium?

Either way, it had been far too long since they played host to a proper power. Neither the Sith nor the Republic appreciated the true beauty of the planet and its sister world, Axum. This was the Old Republic's primary fleet base, the location of the prestigious Anaxes War College, the institution that set the standards for shipwrights everywhere. For the Imperial Confederation of the Core, it was a must have for the old guard that made up a vocal minority in the Imperial Senate.

An olive branch had been extended between the Confederation and the local government, the latter inviting the former to take part in a public works project as well as further negotiations for the system's entry into the Confederation. The high chancellor, Tanomas Graf, had personally travelled from Coruscant to meet with the representatives, bringing along with him a troop of attaches that would serve to further the Imperial party.

Objectives:

  1. The War College (Naval/Parliament) - As part of a previous agreement between the Imperial government and Anaxes, the Navy has been permitted to repair the dilapidated campus and construct a new academy in which to train the next generation of Imperial officers.
  2. The Federation Prospers (Parliament)  - While adamant about retaining their autonomy in dictating their governance, High Chancellor Graf believes that Anaxes can be persuaded to join the Imperial Confederation. See to it that they do.
  3. The Constabulary (Army/Commissariat)  - As a result of previous conflicts, crime has risen on the world and the government is desperate to alleviate this issue. Assist in training local law enforcement or take a more...drastic...approach...
  4. Bring Your Own Objective

A N A X E S

A steady stream of Imperial ships had been arriving all day, bringing the groups of openly invited dignitaries from Coruscant to take part in the talks of potential alliance within the Imperial Confederation. Among those ships there was one that looked no different then the others, a simple shuttle that had carried to the planets surface a small group of Imperial officers not concerned with the direct negotiations currently taking place, instead they had been sent to a different location, the central law enforcement control centre.

The large structure, a dome that had over the years been rebuilt with each passing war or governing body held the entire commanding party of the security forces, and each were currently on display within the main entrance hall of the building waiting for the Imperial Officers as they entered as a group, each in perfect sync with the next.
“Imperial dignitaries we have been waiting for you.” One of the Anaxas’ locals said, his white beard neatly trimmed. “The Director has been preparing for your arrival.” There was no direct answer back but instead the group fell in line as they were lead away into corridors of the building.

The Director’s office was minimal, consisting only of a single desk and several large data-projectors. Yet as his door opened a stream of light poured in from the corridor outside, shining on the example of a perfect Anaxas way of working.
“Director.” One of his own officers entered, leading the others.

“May I introduce…” He began but was shushed by a raise of the hand by the lead Imperial.
“I can introduce myself.” A calm voice answered. “High Commissar Aram Kalast. There are other titles but you would already know them.”
Aram took a seat before the Director and pointed at the man’s own chair. “I’ve heard you have a criminal problem. We are here to discuss how we could end this.”

Location: Anaxes

Objective: The Federation Prospers

The newly appointed Lord Commander of the Royal Guard had been assigned to oversee the security of this important diplomatic affair personally, and Morcus had aimed not to disappoint. Most of his former Inquisitors now comprised the ranks of the Royal Guardsmen, and this important affair would require the presence of all of them. It would be their debut operation, after all, and the perfect opportunity to show off their presence. In the great hall within the political headquarters of Anaxes, over twenty Royal Guardsmen, garbed in their resplendent crimson robes and armour and each wielding a well crafted lightsaber pike, stood vigilantly around the circumference of the circular hall, remaining wary of any potential security threats.

Morcus however, had already taken his seat at the meeting table beside where his superior, Tanomas Graf, would be seated, using the current silence in the chamber to review security arrangements before Graf and the other officials would arrive. He'd already messaged Graf that the facility had been secured, and would be ready for his arrival when his luncheon with Anaxes' ruler was complete. Meanwhile, Morcus was also patiently awaiting the arrival of one of his Sovereign Protectors, who served as his circle of commanders amongst the ranks of the Guard....

ANAXES

Location: New Academy Worksite

Objective 2: The Federation Prospers

Lannis Morcus | Aram Kalast | Tanomas Graf

______________________________________

A looming visage in a dark cloak, long face-plated helmet and armor stalked through the corridors leading to the meeting area. Armed with an assortment of weaponry, the most obvious a lightsaber pike held in one gloved hand, the Sovereign Protector known as Vindicator was carefully patrolling. It was one of his primary directives to ensure the safety of the Imperial Confederation leadership, especially the High Chancellor of the Imperial Confederation, The Right Honorable Tanomas Graf. So it stood to reason that maintaining a constant vigil around the proposed meeting area was paramount to completing that task.

"Perimeter remains secure, Lord Commander," Vindicator said into the helmet comlink, his eyes scanning the various doorways and halls of the domed structure. "All personnel encountered have been ID'd and verified. Continuing security sweep."

Walking by himself, Vindicator was a tall humanoid that exuded authority and power, if only due to his straight-backed stature and armor. Few in the corridors dared block his passage, given how important the task was, and despite remaining utterly professional, the guardsman couldn't deny some satisfaction in that. Yet, until such time as the High Chancellor arrived with his retinue, Vindicator would maintain a strict, focused and continually adaptive patrol of the meeting facility. He would not walk the same path again, nor would he be predictable so as to be avoided easily.

Grasping the handle of the pike with two hands and shrugging back his cloak, Vindicator stepped through a doorway, his helmeted head turning as he assessed the area. Everything seemed in order. A flourish of cloak later, and the guardsman's armored form was once again concealed, the tall warrior continuing to stalk the halls, ever vigilant and watchful...

The Constabulary

Transports landed in a city square thousands of kilometers away from Pols Anaxes, the capital of Anaxes. Concerned citizens cleared the busy plaza as green-uniformed army troopers poured out of the transports in an orderly fashion. Beyond their green uniforms, they wore the characteristic blastarmor chest plate and Vader-like helmet, armed with standard blasters. As the infantry completed filing out, next came the Imperial speeders and staff officers of the Imperial task force, most notable among them was the very portly Colonel Jastor Husk. Husk walked towards the absolute center of the plaza, taking note of the beautiful flora that had been carefully planted by the city designers. The entire city surrounding the plaza made heavy use of greenery and the local plant life. Husk harumphed, turned around and make a circular motion in the air with his hand. Immediately, platoons began marching in different directions, and speeders began to whip up dust as they vaulted through the city square to their pre-set destinations.

Husk returned to the site of his transport, where his temporary headquarters was already being set up. As reports from his platoons began to roll in, informing Husk his perimeter was being set, an older gentlemen whose face was buried in a large, and well-kept, mustache, wearing an official looking uniform began to make protests. Husk, annoyed, left the safety of his command center to answer the man's shouts, to find he was accompanied by about a dozen or so police officers, all of them wearing significant gold braiding on their shoulders, "What the hell is this? When we were absorbed into the Core Imperial Confederation, I wasn't told that it would be an occupation!" Husk sneered and said, "I assume you are the police commandant for the city?" The commandant nodded. "Come inside." Husk said. The police commandant looked to his other officers, than followed Husk into the hastily built command center.

It wasn't spacious, but the headquarters was certainly efficient. All of the staff functions for the task force could be done in this half tent and composite material contraption. Husk motioned to one of the few chairs, and Husk sat in the seat opposite it. "Alright," Husk began, "Being a member of high ranking within the systems of government in this locale, I have been authorized to share with you the Imperial Operation that has been initiated. Take note, you should repeat this to your superiors in the civil government, however I have no doubt they are being briefed as well." Husk threw a holoprojector on the floor in between them and a blue three dimensional plan of Operation Constabulary materialized, "Myself, and a few other Imperial army commanders and members of the Commissariat have been tasked with cleansing the planetary organized crime as your government is absorbed into the confederation. I, specifically, have been given the temporary command of one of the twelve Army task forces to deal with the armed components of the mafia, and have been tasked with clearing the streets of the city, Marnin. While my comrades in the Commissariat," Husk shuddered upon saying the word comrades, but he continued nonetheless, "Deal with taking down the central nervous systems of the different organized crime groups, I will be clearing all the cells of different mobs in the city. This should bring the crime rates within your planet down to a level which the confederation can accept. Of course, some other army units are tasked with training local police, but that is not why I am here." The commandant sat there and tried to digest the information given to him.

"This is unjust." He finally said, after a long moment of silence. Husk shook his head, "This is not unjust. This is proper administration. What is unjust is this city is the most crime infested metropolis in this sector of the planet, the sector with the second highest crime rate of all of Anaxes. You've failed your job, now I'm here to clean up your mess. You can either shut up and stand aside, or work with me to help your own fellow Anaxians.

Seto Du Couteau

Location: Anaxes Major Starport, Heading out

Objective: The Constabulary/BYOO

Actions: Ready to head out to Capital

Np3sK03.png

His cape swayed gently with the wind, the cool air refreshing to breathe, Seto hardly ever found himself breathing recycled air for long of course but he always welcomed a planet's air. The young Du Couteau moved along with pressed hands settled across his chest, his mission briefing for the planet of Anaxes made him rather intrigued with the situation here on the surface. His right hand briefly moved his longer hair out his eyesight and slightly readjusted his cap, this planet was not a violent or chaotic place, and he was here to assure it remained peaceful and compliant.

It had felt like ages since he had last enjoyed partaking missions where he needed to engage with the average citizen, and without much worry of other Force Users wishing to bring nothing but one's own death. A chance of pace to hunt down the common criminal. While the idea of fishing for criminals and the like seemed rather beneath this Commissar, there were rumors of a being with strange abilities.

Further more, this person of interest also was said looking through several Orphanages and picking only a selected few kids. Seto hardly needed much more in the way of thinking this was definitely some sort of Sith or a Dark Jedi. The actions alone screamed cultists of sorts, but even Jedi at one point forcibly removed children who possessed potential to become one of them. Let's go hunting.

Seto briefly smiled, in spite of the circumstances he found himself in, the idea of breaking apart a potential cult brought along a certain cathartic moment of relief. His hands instinctively reached for the assurances of his lightsaber hilts but none were present on him, a single moment was all it took to remind him where they were presently. Instead his hand reached for the data-pad and slowly read the directions that earlier Intelligence work had provided to him.

A speeder already awaited for him and with a quick turn of his head he gestured towards his sister Marr that it was time to go forward with their mission. Since the happenings of Coruscant, Seto had personally seen to it that he would not let her leave his side anymore. Even with Spot, the said Probe Infiltration droid was also apart of his small group. But even with their closer proximity, and warmer tones of voice, Seto found himself troubled with the right words to tell his sister Marr.

Varian Alaric "Corvus"

Mercenary | Gun for Hire | Bounty Hunter

The Constabulary, Training Field

___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___

Of all things the former Knight of Ren, now a mercenary and gun-for-hire, thought he would do, training new recruits how to disarm an opponent was never something that he believed he would ever do. It was never anything that the mercenary, Corvus, would ever dream or would ever had wanted to do, at all, ever. It still alluded the man as to why he had been assigned and hired to do...this of all things. He was a mercenary, a gun for hire, and a good one at that. And yet, all of his skills and tactical information and insider knowledge of the First Order was for naught and thrown to the side in exchange for close-quarters training for new military recruits for the new policing force of Anaxes. They had to defend themselves somehow, after all. He had just never expected to be paid to do something like this, and he had never expected for the recruits he was with to be so...clumsy. At least Varian supposed, he was getting paid in imperial credits and imperial checks, all from his employer Har'xa Escala. However this Har'xa Escala was, he was paying him handsomely for helping with the Core Imperial Confederacy. So, Alaric stayed to help train and work for this Governmental Organization, for the time being that is.

"Weak. Slow. Use some of your strength when you're fighting somebody and trying to take them down. These criminals that you're facing won't stop until they've been knocked out and disabled...so act like you're an actual security force and disable them. Stop pretending to be a security force, you're all just prissy idiots playing dress-up and pretending to be tough. In the heat of the moment, you will need to know how to take somebody down quickly and with minimal injury received to yourself."

Varian's glacier blue eyes watched the security recruits practice at what they had been shown by him, again, and again, and again. No matter how many demonstrations he did, all of them just...they just couldn't do anything. He felt it was a lost cause at this point, that it was hopeless for them to keep on trying. However, as he had watched them over the past hour, he had begun to notice improvement in their combat form, close-quarters speaking that is.

Alaric had looked away for just a second towards the noise of a speeder being readied to go off to who know's where. Which...was when he had caught sight of her. He had last seen her, Marriskcal, on Courscant when the two of them had run into each other. He still remembered the sting of the encounter. He had known who she was, but she had no idea who he was. He had cut himself off from the force and hidden his face behind a mask of metal, a helmet of battle, she had just believed he was some stranger. He was longing to talk to her, to make things right between the two of them which had at one point been the best of friends. And yet, he could not bring himself to do such a thing. All he could do now...was watch her from a distance, praying and hoping that she looked over whilst dreading if she looked at him.

He was...as her Guardian Angel, the one's from holobooks of fantasy and out-of-this-world adventures and dreams...

Objective 4: BYOO

One would think Zesiro would be involved more in the politics of things since she now considered to be the High Lady of Kesh. That was not the case today though. Now was one of the times when she more interested in the trade. What could Anaxes offer to her, her people and government? So the blond walked the streets of a market and looked around.

A former holding of the Republic, they were taken over by the Confederacy of old and this made her mad. Just the name association was enough to make her blood boil. She hated the current Confederacy with a passion and had parted with them years ago. Not before they had given her some service though. Once she had recovered from the injuries they had given her, she left them and returned to Kesh.

Now she had left Kesh and returned to the people that helped make her who she was. To them, she was loyal but quiet. No role or place had been found for her yet, and for now she was happy. Things would turn out and she was sure a job would be found that she could do in time.

JiGZUcY.png

With her pale gold tresses and vivid blue eyes, the slender figure that followed behind the Commissar appeared deceptively innocent and placid. Perhaps in a vain attempt to alleviate the severity of his dark uniform, the servants of the Du Couteau had dressed Marriskcal in immaculate white.

The pleated dress that she wore was soft and flowing, the ends of its skirt edged lightly with tiny pearls. With short white gloves and matching stockings carefully concealing her light scars and training, she seemed to all eyes to be just another elegant young lady following her brother around.

Her eyes gazed curiously skywards as she made her way towards the speeder, enthralled by starships of various make and design. While she may not have much of an interest in them, other than their potential in warfare, Marriskcal has heard much about the famed world of Anaxes. While she had expected it to be similar to Eriadu, it was clear from the infrastructure and the people that flowed through the starport that they were both very different.

Sidling in to the seat furthest away from the door, the blonde made room for both her brother and Spot. As it often was these days, silence fell between the two siblings. Though their wounds were beginning to mend and their emotions were settling, Marriskcal still found it hard to turn to the male and tug at his sleeve as she used to when she wanted to capture his attention, or say something mischievous just to see how he would respond.

I’m just grateful that we are able to spend time together once more.

With her meandering thoughts , she did not feel the eyes that were watching her intently from a distance.

Captain Malys

Anaxes Surface, Law Enforcement Control Centre

Nearby: Aram Kalast

Captain Lynda "Malys" Dorn clad in her Mark Nine Katarn Battle Armour followed behind Commissar Kalast their garb decorated with dark red the colour of venal blood the breastplate was stamped with a rectangle-shaped rank plague with a series of colour pips that marked its' wearer as an Army Captain. Behind the polarised visor, Lynda's greenish eyes watched with keen perception as Kalast slumped down in a chair at a fine oak table opposite one of the Anaxes' Chiefest if not the Chiefest Law Enforcement Officer on their world. He appeared to be an Agency Executive of sorts. Captain Malys folded their hands behind back and straightened slightly listening to the two men's exchange attentively keeping gaze on Kalast now ears listening attentively to his words and studying the man's mannerisms. Lynda disliked the Imperial Security Bureau and its' agents, commissars and all those other leather-coat wearing sycophants and Aram, in particular, reeked of a palpable arrogance that Dorn met with equal parts quiet envy and disdain they held power in their palm and obviously knew it yet as frustrating as they are it was also rather attractive to see authority ooze so egregiously.

It was partly why Lynda had volunteered to join the Confederation's Army Reserve and thanks to a previous association with Tanomas Graf himself managed to secure a commission and training as an Officer, there was little doubt the big man likely had some hand in her unit's activation and deployment here as in their professional life Lynda had chosen the profession of a Coruscant Security Force Officer. Undeniably it was a step down from a First Imperial Death Trooper yet the augmentations remained and anybody with access to her medical and physical training records would quickly conclude the woman had fitness and physical strength sufficient to put a Wookie down despite standing only just a little over one-hundred and ninety centimetres tall. Cracking helmeted head side-to-side, she breathed a sigh through annunciator just short of what would have been a bored sigh stopping herself for fear of Lord Commissar Kalast's reprisal and disdain for all Lynda's physical strength, fitness and aggression the Army Captain also possessed a sum of fear for lawful authority despite ironically flaunting it several times in her youth back on Lothal.

Coruscant Security Force had a galactic reputation for Law Enforcement excellence and Lynda wordlessly wondered speaking words within her mind back and forth over the possibility her employment influenced the deployment of her company to Anaxes to aid in the investigation, detainment and arrest of organised crime figures who had several warrants out for their arrest by local planetary courts.

Cynthia Alucard, Pixie Wing Commander

Objective: The War College

Location: Anaxes Naval Academy

U9O1E36.png

Cyn wore a resolute expression, pure determination and most important; hiding her inner excitement. Finally an Instructor, she had not believed a chance would appear as quickly as a TIE Interceptor flying towards its prey. Of course, her title of Instructor was only temporally until the Confederacy fully controlled the planet, from its star ships to the civilians that lived their lives normally day by day. Cyn stopped her lips from pulling apart and revealing a toothy smile, her eyes remained focused ahead of her and quickly turned the corner of the hallway.

Noises of construction could still be heard, as it stood the old campus of the academy had not been kept up to standards, but this would not impede the Instructors and Officers from assuring their work remained pristine. As mighty their warships were, and as large the the weapon systems may be, it all required well disciplined and properly trained crew and Naval Officers to realize its great potential. The Stars out in the void are merciless and burn any that dare to take the vastness of space lightly.

I most utterly wish my pilots do not die in vacuum. The short Ace pilot certainly demanded only the possible from her pilots, and speaking of her pilots. Cyn opened the doors to reveal to her a new batch of students. all recently recruited with unrefined zeal in their eyes, the eagerness they allowed to ooze from their persona, Cyn allowed only now to smile wickedly.

Cyn walked towards the podium and moved her gaze across the classroom, the silence of the room only intensified how cold the air felt. The special lecturer they were told would be one of a TIE Commander, an Ace, but even with all the student's eagerness and anxiety, none met her eyes. Oh? I was hoping for one of them to challenge me. The surprise, while unexpected, was a welcome one and she quickly started the lesson she prepared.

"Officers for the Imperial Confederacy will have to overcome a hurdle. While not a new hurdle, this hurdle though had seen the downfall of many aspiring pilots and officers alike. . ."

“It is true.”
The words had started a torrent of conversation that had opened up many facts currently hidden within the Anaxas government. Troubles with riots, hidden cartels and most of all groups of apparent remnants from the days of the One Sith or some-sort.
Aram however knew that such claims was impossible, for the Sith had managed to eradicate any such groups themselves and any remnant groups would be more or less individual activists being hidden behind a title offered by those willing to title them as such.

So Aram listened on. Rarely speaking, rarely even acknowledging the words of the ranking officer opposite him until at last he felt that through all the additional information that was required had been said, intentional or not.
His cold blue eyes, almost draining of ones soul took their time to scan each piece of information that was scattered across the room, a bomb here, theft there. The occasional, almost gang-land style murder that left communities angry and shaken, it was all present. He just had to draw the links.

“We are willing to aid you with this,” He began, calmly and to the point. “However I will need you to allow my investigation teams to have full access to your systems as well as complete and open communication channels with each of your officers.”
The chief looked like he was going to resist, but caught himself.
“As well as access I shall assure that you have the means to remove any degenerates by any means necessary.” He waved his arm backwards towards the troopers who had taken position at the doors like a pair of silent watchdogs. “I assure you, they are very capable at their intended roles. After all, what is the difference between these rowdy criminals and a full blown rebellion?”
He didn’t give an answer, that was for the chief to mull over himself.
Yet even with the apparent want to not cooperate Aram felt a tinge of victory, he had this man exactly where he needed him.

Literally deciding to sign over the entire planets security to him.

Captain Malys

Anaxes Surface, Law Enforcement Control Centre

Nearby: Aram Kalast

"Sir, if my Company and I now have legal jurisdiction to execute the arrest warrants, we'll get to work." Lynda's voice rung through her annunciator with sharp clarity passing a glance to her executive Officer off on the left who flanked the door frame alongside his Officer Commanding. Both the members of the 2/17 His Chancellor's Own Coruscanti Guard Regiment are adult volunteers and like their subordinates throughout the unit recruited from Coruscant more than a few members Aurek Company were full-time professional Coruscant Security Force Officers who had taken up employment with the Core Imperial Confederation's Army Reserve. "Lieutenant" Lynda began pronouncing the word 'Leftenant' in a Betrayal of her time within the First Imperial Navy who had conscripted Captain Malys when she was still Zarha Stark, though she had once pronounced it like the majority of the Galaxy the habits drilled into vocabulary by screws of First Order discipline died with great difficulty indeed.

Looking to his Company Commander and acquiescing with a nod. "Ma'am." Lieutenant Raiken answered immediately, he was formerly a soldier with the Coruscant Defence Force who had found a new exciting purpose as an Imperial Soldier. Lynda disliked being addressed as 'Ma'am' and greeted the title with a concealed cringe, it sounded so wrong the word soliciting images of Grand Moff Natasi Fortan slumped in an Oak Chair sipping fine tea from a near priceless ceramic teacup. "Get first platoon on their feet and into our vehicles. We'll be moving out in five mikes." Captain Malys watches Raiken leave before stepping forward towards Kalast her armoured arms hugged tightly around torso as if she were cold, which was of course nonsense given the Mark IX Katarn Battle Armour possessed sophisticated and advanced environmental controls. Behind the polarised visor her muddy green eyes studied the Police Director scribbling away at his paperwork signing off on providing provisional policing powers to the Army's Military Police units, Lynda's included. "Contact my Company Headquarter's section if you cannot reach me, during the course of the Operation we might go outside of Comlink range."

A few minutes pass and Lynda slides down into a Durasteel ring just wide enough to accommodate her body into the hull of a "Fighter Tank" their gloved hands seize the traversing pintle-mounted proton beam cannon weapon and swivel it over the humming Repulsor tank's bough. "Driver, advance to the waypoint. All vehicles maintain single-file and twenty-five-meter spacing." A line of the vehicles painted with the distinctive venal red markings of the Coruscanti Guard's lineage hovered out of the Anaxes' Police Station and pulled out above a ferrocrete street and began shrieking on their motors through the wide city streets.

“Welcome little one.” Most people couldn't remember the voice of the first person who had ever spoken to them, it was just one of those accepted truths of real life that never really changed. For a clone however, these things are always remembered, they are never truly forgotten.
From the moment that the white light had filled his vision his teachings had begun. There was no paternal need towards one who was grown out of test-tubes and genetics of a long dead host, so from first sight it was a road of conditioning and adapting. Even though he could remember her face it was no more then that, a face that was blurred and distorted by the domed glass that had been his only known world.
“This one, we expect great things from this one…”
Then all there would be was…
White.

Blue
A hard hit to his stomach caused him to fall to his knees and resist the tears that were welling up in his eyes. He could hear the voice of his instructor, a tough man who was on the payroll of whoever it was they were being trained for. Who were they being trained for?, well he didn’t know, nor did he have any reason to want to know. All that mattered was that he was here to learn how to be a soldier.
A crying soldier.
Again he could hear the voice of his instructor barking at him, the words were unclear but he didn’t care. If they hadn’t wanted Clones to cry why did they give them tear-ducts? Besides he was what, two, three maybe? The accelerated age range of a clone was in place to create a faster and more useful product, he understood this but sometimes he had to question the why? After all were they not all still children.
“When the blue light turns on you are to intercept the attack, not take it in the gut. Now get up and try again.”
Blue.

Red.
The buckets that they had given them to protect their bodies weren’t of the most amazing build, but they did as they were advertised to do, protect them against certain death.
He hated wearing it though as did many of his brothers. They were claustrophobic, intimidating pieces of clothing that didn’t allow your body to breath or indeed have any comfort outside of the occasional moment your helmet was allowed off and your skin…his skin…could embrace the chill of real air.
Yet they wore them no less.
For they were Clone Troopers and this armour was their life. In fact it was probably worth more then their lives.
He sighed and lowered the helmet over his face, feeling it click into the seal around the mouthpiece, a solid hiss accompanied the sudden lights of the hud lighting up in the deepest shade of…
Red.

Black.
That is what there really was. Nothing but black. Clones weren’t designed to dream, yet it seemed to be an unfortunate side effect of the cloning process that the mind could still wander and accept truths that weren’t reality.
These memories, these colours. Were they his or were they somebody else’s? His handlers had not given him the time of day to discuss these matters, no, to them it was mere mind wandering that would keep him distracted in the coming storm that he was designed to fight.
So for now he would just continue to rest in the transit towards Anaxas. Close his eyes and see only…
Black.

Past the few scant words spoken to the driver, the passengers remained mostly mute, aside from the sounds of Seto's fingers tapping on his data-screen, neither appeared inclined to engage with any conversation. Only the occasional beeps and low sounds of their Infiltration droid, Spot, a grave would have been far more animated.

Seto peered away from his screen to steal a glance towards Marr, he had adored the dress to no end when his servants had shown him what had been ordered and delivered. The young Du Couteau held very little in a way to effectively ease in the fact that Marr looked adorable with the stark white and gold accents. Even my head maid explained that Marr barely made any trouble with them over the whole process.

Improvement, no matter how he would cut it, all of it was improvement in his eyes and now Seto needed to push it forward. He knew his sister simply wanted her brother back, and no amount of time sitting stuck inside a speeder vehicle would mend that bridge between the other. With a concentrated effort Seto placed his data-pad down next to him and turned to face his sister with a steady warm gaze.

"This Force Wielder has been rumored to go by the name of "Dulla'han". It's been difficult to get much past a height of what could be guessed to be under two meters. No other identifications past a grey tattered cloak that covers this Dulla'han very well apparently." Seto explained to Marr, trying his best to be quick but as well as allowing her the opportunity to give her own input.

Seto gently tugged on his suit and slowly straightened and removed some invisible creases that he knew were there for some odd reason. "Also-" His voiced paused as he considered the next few words, "-You look nice." Seto concluded.

Kou’ha Escala was most certainly not sulking.

Nor was he brooding, or anything so asinine as having a fit.

And despite maintaining a carefully neutral expression on his features, from the looks his reluctant guide kept giving him every few minutes, the young scion of Escala was apparently not as covert about his simmering displeasure as he had hoped.

Or perhaps, it was because he was a former First Order officer.

Rumours and hearsays were plentiful. More so, especially when he shared the same family name and same sharp features as Admiral Escala. And it did not help the scrutiny on his person considering that both of his parents had all but demanded that he take refresher courses in Anaxes Naval Academy before he was allowed to return to duty as Captain… to the Core Imperial Confederation.

After years of being allowed to chart his own course and rise in ranks within the First Order without needing to contend with the long shadows cast by his father and brothers, Kou’ha was bitter. And if not for his mother’s pleas and her apparent concern over his wellbeing, the youngest child of Har’xa and Sula would have made his way back to Dosuun.

It was only when he heard a polite rap on the door, followed by the sliding open with a soft hiss that the dark haired male returned his thoughts to reality.

Wing Commander… Alucard?” his guide’s words spoke over a familiar lilt. “I’m sorry to interrupt you, but I hope you can accommodate one more student in your class.” Clearing his throat, the young male who had been assigned to him quickly transferred the details over to the young woman’s device.

Kou’ha looked over the head of his discomfited guide, blinking when he caught sight of the lithe form of one Cynthia Alucard.

Marriskcal Lati, Civilian

JiGZUcY.png

Marriskcal was no stranger to silence.

With her once unwavering loyalty to her previous Lord and Master, she had always chosen silence, for his every word was law.

With her partner, who has embraced a vow of silence while they served his will, the quiet times they shared were calming, for he knew her as well as she knew herself.

But the silence of before and now was as different as day and night.

Perhaps the immensity of the silence that filled the expanse between them came with her wish of making amends, and the realisation that there will never be enough words in the galaxy to convey her apologies and her gratitude.

Her poise was graceful even as she remained unerringly still, and were it not for her eyes following the scenery that they were cruising past, Marriskcal could easily be mistaken as a doll. A tool to be used, broken, then discarded…

As soon as the thought alighted, the sensation of drowning haunted her once more. The young woman looked away from her reflection in the window of the speeder, her gaze moving back towards the two occupants that shared the small space with her. And their eyes met, blue against blue. She quailed, faint sense of panic began to swell up within her as she wondered if she should avert her eyes, or make an awkward attempt at conversation, or even

Then Seto spoke, his voice steady and calm.

Her eyes widened, a glimmer of hope threading its way into her presence as he continued, divulging the details of their mission. “It is strange that we have not received any further description of this ‘Dulla’han’. While I do not like to make inferences without more information, it is best that we treat this being as someone who is highly competent in hiding his presence and manipulating perceptions.” It said much about the creature that answered to Marriskcal Lati when her mind immediately seized upon what little knowledge that has been shared, the hunter that she was crafted and honed to be set on the trail.

But before the blonde could touch further on the subject matter, the act of her brother smoothening his uniform distracted her, for it was something that was unreservedly familiar and so profoundly Seto that it brought about an ache in her heart. For she had missed it in the past several weeks where they had been avoiding each other’s presence.

I–” Her eyes shone with tears, for she knew that this was her brother taking his first step. And though she did not deserve to be given a chance, she still grasped on to it with shameless relief. “T–Thank you. It is… different,” she said, her voice wavering as her veneer fell for a fleeting moment. Marriskcal took in a deep inhale before she continued, carefully veiling all her cracks and shards behind a fragile smile. “You look nice as well in your uniform. And I especially like that you are leaving your hair long… it suits you.

High Chancellor Tanomas Graf

Objective II - The Federation Prospers

pr7TDiD.png

One of the entrances to the great hall opened with a hydraulic hiss, revealing the lone form of a single man: Tanomas Graf. Surprisingly, the man was no longer dressed in his signature uniform, instead having donned a black tailored suit and matching tie, befitting of his status as High Chancellor of the Confederation. There was a black, leather briefcase in his right hand that he gripped tightly. He began to walk forward, his polished shoes clacking against the marble floor as he approached the table. "Lord Commander; Prime Minister," He offered simply, to both the grey-haired veteran to his side and the tired young man across the table.

"High Chancellor." The man returned, beckoning him to join them at the table. Graf did so, setting the briefcase on the floor beside him before steepling his fingers over his lap. "I am certain you understand why I took the time to journey here from Coruscant." Tanomas began, his head angling downward slightly as his eyes locked onto those of his acquaintance. Jakar Pax, as he was called, nodded carefully as he formulated what to say, "Naturally, I knew Anaxes would receive a visit shortly after we offered the War College in exchange for the training of our law enforcement."

"Very well, it's no use to prevaricate then." Graf declared, a small smile playing at his lips, "I am keen on proposing the entrance of systems in the Azure sector into the Confederation, in the name of mutual prosperity." Pax hesitated slightly, unsure of how to proceed in face of this suggestion, his mouth pursing slightly.

"State your terms."

Varian Alaric "Corvus"

Mercenary | Gun for Hire | Bounty Hunter

The Constabulary, Training Field

[Heading towards Obj. II]

Varian's gaze lingered on the blonde haired woman who he knew, without a doubt, was Marriskcal Lati. He longed to talk to her, to reach out to her. He wanted to try and mend their relationship. He wanted to try and fix everything that had gone wrong after he had left...all of those months ago. But he wouldn't, he couldn't no matter how he wanted to do so, no matter how much that he dreamed of doing so. He believed that she hated him now with a feathing and untameable anger that could never be stopped or reeled back in, no matter what nice words he might tell her and how he might act around her. He didn't know why he felt of such a thing, though he figured it was due to the recent accumulation of a host of emotional and mental issues that had begun to crop up on him. Luckily though, his employer, Har'xa Escala, had somehow known about such a thing and supplemented the necessary medications for him to deal with such things.

It was hard for Alaric to remember how he used to act back then, it was hard for him to know and to remember who he was all of those days ago when he was a member of the Order of Ren. He couldn't remember how he used to be, it was hard for him to remember specifically what it felt like to have joy and do something fun.

All he was now, was a workaholic...taking job's of all sorts no matter their moral goodness or wrongness. It was a distraction, Varian supposed, so he wouldn't have to think about all he had done wrong in the past. Joining the First Order and killing innocent civilians. Pursuing a relationship with Varas, a woman whom he had loved...a woman whom he had once to spend every waking hour with, a woman whom had broken him and left his mind and emotions fractured ever since she had left him and the Order without any mention of it previously. Then there was the culling of the Ren, and the leaving of the Order and the abandonment of Marr...

The man's mind was pulled away from such thoughts when his comn activated suddenly. He was happy that the distraction had come, he didn't particularly favor dwelling on those thoughts. The message in question was from Har'xa. Varian figured that the man wanted as much information as possible that he had gathered on Kyle. Something which Alaric knew some of, though he didn't know the whole scope of the man yet. He gave his mercenary associate, Conrad, the signal for him to take over before walking away and towards the edge of the Academy worksite to take the message in private

Cynthia Alucard, Pixie Wing Commander

Truth be told Cyn rarely allowed her surprise to be shown, in fact she possessed an impressive track record of always coming across unexpected events: From facing a sudden swarm of unknown enemies to being blown out of the sky and forced crash land somewhere hazardous. While she hadn’t remained passive through all of that, at some point Cyn had lost the energy to get angry.

This though, this surprise was something completely different. Seeing her once Superior Officer now was turned to a student, but not just a student but her student. Surely the galaxy was a strange place, but Cyn refocused at her current task of instruction. With a formal nod towards the young Escala and accepting his student credentials Cyn waited for a few moments to allow for things to settle.

“We are no longer on board the Bridge, so no need for such rigid formalities.” Cyn welcomed her old Officer.

“-And as such, should any of you find yourself needing to address your superiors with concern do take the risk and speak up. Commanders and Captains of Battleships already have many silent walls. Anxious Officers though, no leader will ever want or hesitate to remove.” She explained, her words turned cold as she concluded her brief improvised learning lesson.

Cyn nodded once more, to the rest of the class, and proceeded to continue her lesson with the help of her Holo-Projector. The holograms showcased many of the standard Imperial battle group, Star Destroyers and several support frigates and other crafts. If Cyn had to name one thing important to training new officers it would of course have to be the ability to spread knowledge from one Academy to the next.

A wonder of the galaxy to organize such a large fighting force and possessing the ability to adapt and adjust any part of the military should such a need ever come. And mostly, the need for change always come and Cyn needed to demonstrate to her leaders that she could change into a perfect Instructor for any Naval Academy.

"And here we see a fleet formation, now the enemy fleet has unknown weaponry and ships, but they possess little star fighters as far as our sensors can tell. . ." Cyn began her lecture.
