Top Rail – Can mount most any rail mounting device to the rifle.
High-Cap magazines – Being an energy weapon, the B-2 can hold a larger amount of ammunition than it’s slug thrower counterparts.
Barrel Heat-sinks - Heat-sinks line the sides of the barrel making sure it does not overheat from prolonged usage.
(+) Binary Shot – Fires two bolts simultaneously that strike centimeters apart from each other.
(+) Energy Weapon – Has little to no fall off at longer ranges.
(+) Dual Barrel System – Can continue to fire even if one barrel is blocked or damaged.
(-) Binary Shot – cell power is halved due to firing two shots.
(-) Energy Weapon – Energy projectile power decreases over longer distances.
(-) Ion/EMP – Not shielded against Ion weapons or EMP blasts.
Why fire only one shot when you could just as easily fire two? Where a standard Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) fires one round per trigger pull, the B-2 Binary DMR is designed to fire two rounds making for a stronger impact against its target. Weaker than the average sniper rifle, but slower than the stock battle rifles this weapon is designed for the soldier or assassin who wants power similar to the former, but the maneuverability of the latter.
The main body of the rifle is made from blaster components and thin Durasteel, making it lighter and stronger. Whereas the handle, cheek plate, and top rail are made from the lighter, less durable Duraplast.
