Immediately he pressed a hand to the combination on the cane's shaft, which sent the length to double its original. Swinging this around in an intricate ark, he then smiled as he exhaled. Being a Shard had its perks, such as being unable to die even when his body did, thus making it so he was outright cocky and sure of his skills. The man believed he could not take on 50 men, but Axel was sure he could. Even if the men managed to rise up, they would need to reach the platform, all the whole stopping the swing of a droid body that swung with incredible power a Songsteel staff at their heads. Unless they had the most powerful padding in their helms, or Baka Bodyglove type protection (which few did considering this was the first of its armor type), the strike would have a good effect. Either it would knock them senseless, loosing their grips, or it could outright snap a neck.
Axel was the Iron Knight Daemon, and he would prove he was unafraid.

Abyss was the first to once again rise on the peak of the mountain, using the force to push himself into the air a around 2 meters above the ground. From the air he could see that one of the two were still standing, the strange guy that wielded a weapon the acolyte had not seen before. Abyss had no time to think to much about what he was and what he was doing, it was more important to clear the path for his man. Before he touched the ground he was already focusing on the fire of passion inside him, using it to channel the power of the dark side. The second he touched the ground he extended his hand towards his opponent using the force to unleash a telekinetic blast aimed in his direction. Even if he would be strong enough to resists being pushed of his feet, he hoped it would cost him a few moment to block it, allowing at least a few of his man to follow him to the top. He could hear the first three climbing up behind him, as he ignited his lightsaber, while they got into position to open fire on his opponent.

With the burst of telekinetic energy slamming into him, his body shuddered back, but his hand stayed strong against the staff. Were it not for his strength, and the durability of Songsteel, he would have been thrown back. Instead he was pushed to the full extent of his arms length, all the while not truly moving. Small rocks that too had been lifted, whipped past his face, and his hat went flying. But all in all, he was quick to rise once more. Lucky too, because as he did, two more heads popped up, trying to reach their leader. They were quickly met with a bat like swing of the pole, crunching one helmet and knocking the other from the space he held.
Both were gone though.
"You will soon enough see, just blatantly using power is not a means to victory." Axel called, closing in slowly on his enemy, "My father taught me that." The man would also likely see soon enough that it would take a lot more then tk to get the best of him.
...it soon enough was shown that he had missed the third. Whom did manage to open fire, slamming shots into his back, knocking him closer to his boss, where upon shots ceased, and Axel launched into a flurry of strikes. One toward the mans neck, then a flip led the pole around his back where upon the opposite hand gripped it, flipped it, and swiped it at his enemies ribs. Simultaneous with the last attack was sent a powerful kick at his knee.

Like a rising tide, the sound of ancient guttural engines began to echo off the peak of the mountain.
Shadows began to form in the distance of the sky.
Red eyes formed. Smoke trails followed. The glare of golden T-vizors shone through the dim light of the fog.
A swarm of bes'uliik was escalating the mountain.
And Ra Vizsla was at its head.
Non-sanctioned orbital pods being dropped on Katarr was in clear violation of the sovereignty of the Mandalorian Clans. Whoever it was, whoever responsible, was tracked to the top of this mountain. Wearing his Tal Jetha'r armor, Mand'alor began scaling the mountain on his Bes'uliik.
They would soon reach their prey.

One of those T-visors belonged to Connory. So did one of the bes'uliike*, a rusty, scarred, blood-smeared mount. Connory's beskar'gam was as vanilla as they came. The trakad* at his belt was anything but. Ideally, in fairly short order, it would taste the blood of etc. etc. etc. Ideally, the excellent artillery work and delaying tactics of Dariak Talesa had left a few killable Sith for Ra's horde. From what Connory had heard, Talesa's command had made the intruders pay in blood for every advance down the mountain paths and ridges. Connory didn't know Talesa, didn't even know what clan he was with, but made a note to buy him a drink after all this was done. Because as far as Connory could tell, Talesa had rocked out.
Folks started singing on the way up the mountain. Sort of the Mando thing to do.
*Bez-oo-LEE-kay, the plural Mando'a term for a Basilisk war droid.
*Literally 'void sword,' a simple sword forged of trakar ('voidsteel' or 'void iron'). A Force-nomming material, in a limited sense. Om nom nom.

In the town, Draco had his spear and was standing with eight Eniherjar, the veterans of Clan Vereen's wars with and against the Sith. How quickly the young ones forgot.
Nonetheless, the Sith had felt the need to strike out at the giant as it roused and so, it was time for the giant to swat the fly. The Galactic Alliance had raided the One Sith countless times, sacked their capital, assaulted and stole their planets and their capital, and yet it was the Mandalorians the One Sith attacked. Even now they reeked of fear.
It was fear that drove them into the jaws of the giant wolf, even if they did not realize they ran willing to oblivion, it was fear that carried the whips that drove them there.
"Alright, we are the last line of defense for the civilians, spread out, take cover and keep any Sith troopers that approach pinned down until the Mand'alor can catch them and kill them." The eight men grinned behind t-visors and went to find cover. Draco however stood, spear and shield in hand, the dim blue light shining from the light shield.
He could sense the Dark Sider below, and he could feel the darkness seeping out. The problem with rendering yourself invisible, was bent light was exhausting and stressful for anyone, but, it didn't effect being felt through the Force. He could feel them advancing, and he could feel them moving. Soon enough.

Abyss watched as his man died at the hands of the strange Axel yet there were still enough slowly climbing over the edge and opening fire on the man. Abyss felt that at this point more and more forces of the enemy were on there way to stop him, the feeling of danger in the force reached a level Abyss had not felt before. He raised his arms, once again focusing on the power of the dark side, while talking to the few man that already made it on the peak:
"Grenade in 3, 2, 1."
Like before he used the force to create a telekinetic blast, but this time it was to send the grenades behind his opponent using only little force actually aimed at him, so he and his man were almost outside of the range of the explosives. Whatever would happen, it would buy the more time, and after the grenade made their way the soldier open fire, trying to push back the man, closer to the detonation. He was down to under 50 men by now, but only 5 were with him right now. He could hear that the majority of them was close to finally reaching the cliff, so he could finally simply overpower the man and push forward to his real target.

Cathul has returned to the edge of the cliff, running as fast as she could without the use of Force-agility. Upon arriving at the grenade's detonation site, where she saw three enemy soldiers opening fire on her, she batted the blaster bolts because she had no cover. Behind cover she would probably be content casting Force-alcohol spells, which rendered survivors drunk and forcing them to run on their own fat. And thank the Force Makashi was to be used in a case like this. Cathul was no fighter but that skirmish on Katarr gave her a taste of what to expect in battle against the Sith, and she was angry at the One Sith. In her current condition she couldn't reach for cover, but the enemy did not expect her to pose anywhere near the level of threat as veterans like Draco Vereen or Axel, let alone the Mand'alor! Not resorting to a Force-taunt just yet, she still had to state the cold hard facts to Abyss:
"Now it's not about one warrior against 50, or even two: look out below you! You're forked!"
This time around, Cathul would be using a Force-taunt along with a telekinetic blast aimed at sending a stormtrooper down the cliff, thinking that a Force-taunt would demoralize at least the stormtrooper targeted by a telekinetic blast so that he can possibly fall down the cliff:
"They sent you on a mission that you couldn't win!"

But he knew he had been within inches of the commander, so he had to have been hit by that point. It was by his own hand the grenades flew their way.
Plummeting downward hard, Axel continued to bounce, roll, scrape, and slam off of the mountain side. After a moment he entered open air, free falling from the heavens above. Up until he slammed torso first into the head of the Manda'lor's ride. Groaning, Axel spit blood, for the fall had been protected by the most part by his Baka Bodyglove, but that had given away after much bash bash.
Raising his head, he opened his mouth to speak, puked, waved a hand in an apologetic fashion then continued, "Hail Manda'lor, I represent the Clan Daemon in this.. issue. Sorry for landing on your beauty here. Can I hitch a ride?"

"Brothers and sister we have failed. But we still can see katarr burn."
Dropping their rifles, everyone of the soldiers took a grenade in his hand, moving down the mountain towards the enemy. The would die so the fire could be bright enough to be the symbol they all wanted. While they moved Abyss turned to the witch, slowly falling to the ground, the rest of his energy gone.
"I .. I surrender."

Ra's T-visor emanated a glowing orange hue as they began to encircle the mountain's pea.
Nearly fifty men began marching their way down.
"Mand'alor, we've received audio that their leader has surrendered."
"Do we arrest these men?"
Hovering in the air, Ra reached up to tap his comms link.
His voice grated through the comms unit like gravel dragging through glass.
"Bring me their Commander."
"Slaughter the rest."
Upon Ra's order, the fleet of bes'uliiks began to descend upon the men, unknowing they had explosives.
They opened fire from the air, the ominous hum of the mechanical engines following them, encircling and raining death. Blaster bolts the size of a small man rained down into the snowy peak of the mountain, threatening to cause an avalanche on the soldiers. Mand'alor Ra nodded to one of the bes'uliik escorts he had been assigned to go a pick up Axel, one of the Mandalorians that had engaged the Sith previously.
Mand'alor watched a man fall, who was undoubtedly not Mandalorian.
The man (@Abyss) looked to be the source of the surrender.
Mand'alor's own Bes'uliik rocketed forth, aiming to grab the man out of the air and set him back upon the peak as the rest were engaged in slaughtering the mans' kin.

At Ra's command, Connory and his bes'uliik lunged for the Sith soldiers alongside the other forty-nineish Mando cavalry. Basilisk war droids had a multitude of lovely options for situations like this (i.e., wholesale slaughter of Sith troops). Shockwave generator rods roared to life. Men began to explode: that was normal. Men began to explode with the force of grenades: that was not. Shrapnel and bone rattled off Connory's armor, bit through exposed bodyglove, and sheared into the nooks and crannies of the bes'uliik's prow. Smoke rose from the war droid mount.
He'd gone through life convinced there was nothing he couldn't improve or one-up. Your average Crusader-era bes'uliik came perilously close to giving that assumption the lie. He'd tried any number of ways to tinker with a standard basilisk war droid, and all his improvements, so far, were marginal. Range, melee, atmo, space, ground -- the basilisk was just a well-rounded sucker in general, staggeringly powerful in most circumstances. His shrugged off the grenade damage and kept killing. It was smart enough to focus on ranged work, minimizing shrapnel danger to Connory, but still he felt blood trickling inside his bodyglove. He would need to get some bacta treatment after this, no question about it. In the meantime, all he could do was sheathe his trakad and use a hard-sound carbine to break bones at range, as circumstances permitted.

Rising to his feet, he lurched into the air, sailing to the mountain, where he raced toward the Manda'lor, "Sir, I request to be present in dealing with the attacker. I believe of us all, I already hold the most personal knowledge of how his mind works."
