PERSONALITY
Like the Paladins of the Adamite Tower whom he descends from, Gauvain is has a knightly, chivalric code of honor. He has a strong sense of justice, preferring to help establish order and protect the helpless. He believes in loyalty to his cause, so long as the cause helps promote the welfare of all beings. Most of all, he believes in generosity and empathy towards others as the key to helping the Galaxy become a better place. Yet, he loathes those who would use beings like the Jedi as political tools rather than servants of peace and order.

STRENGTHS

Altruistic: Gauvain's personal beliefs will always set him towards helping those in need.

Jedi Arts: Grown up amongst Force-sensitives, Gauvain has been trained in their ways. He has skill that makes him comparable to a youthful Jedi Knight.

WEAKNESSES

Idealist: Gauvain is perhaps too idealistic for his own good, as his wholehearted dedication to the Osyronites' cause borders on blind zealotry.

Temptation: Because of the Osyron Sentinels using both Light and Dark sides, Gauvain is more regularly exposed to the temptations of the Bogan. Many mainstream Jedi would view him as a heretic for this, and any Dark Jedi could use this to undermine his resolve.

HISTORY

Gauvain Dawnstrider was born on the planet Weik, a world steeped in the legacy of the Adamite Tower Paladins from whom he descended. His heritage brought with it a connection to the Force, which was recognized early in his life. Consequently, he was inducted into the New Jedi Order, where he began his formal training as a Jedi. During his time with the New Jedi Order, he was particularly captivated by the stories and ideals of Stellan Gios and other High Republic era Jedi, whose legends inspired him to aspire towards greatness.

As Gauvain matured, his initial admiration for the New Jedi Order started to wane. He became increasingly critical of the Order's close relationship with the Galactic Alliance, feeling that this alliance compromised the Jedi's ability to serve the galaxy impartially. This disillusionment grew until he could no longer align himself with what he perceived as the compromised principles of the NJO. Feeling constrained and disillusioned, Gauvain made the difficult decision to leave the Order to seek a path that aligned more closely with his ideals of universal service and independence.

Finding his new path led Gauvain to the Osyron Sentinels, a group whose philosophy resonated deeply with his own. The Sentinels, recognizing the Force as a tool for balance rather than a power divided strictly into light and dark, offered him the freedom to explore the Force in ways that the New Jedi Order did not. Under the tutelage of the Osyron Sentinels, Gauvain completed his training, embracing their ideals of using the Force to serve and protect the galaxy as a whole. In this new chapter, Gauvain has committed himself to these principles, aiming to forge a legacy that could finally bring peace to an otherwise chaotic Galaxy.
