Name: Taobh Dorcha Theatre and Art Museum

Intent: To bring culture to Eclipse (Taobh Dorcha)

Classification: Theatre and Art (Entertainment)

Location: Taobh Dorcha City, Eclipse

Affiliation: One Sith

Description:

The building was commissioned by the Dark Lord himself, with the assistance and financial backing by Titan Industries. The building was to give the citizens of Taobh Dorcha a broader view and understanding of the various cultures throughout the galaxy. Thousands of pieces of art, paintings and sculptures, were brought in from cities on Coruscant, Rendili, Balmorra, and other planets known to have a rich culture. To add to the majestics of the massive collection of art, several artifacts from the time of the Old Republic and Sith Empire were put on display.

The theatre portion of the building was used to put on plays such as tragedies, comedies, and historical renditions including political plays that dealt with galactic politics. Also in this section, musical concerts and lightshows were brought to life. Famous singers/bands would be brought in to perform for the citizens.

A medium sized dining area was built on the east wing that served delicacies from the represented cultures on display, and some that were not. The entire width of the building was just under one (1) mile while it's full height was one-hundred and fifty (150) feet. The full seating capacity for the theatre itself was one hundred and thirteen (113) people while the dining area sat twenty six (26). Fifty (50) employees worked in the building bringing the total capacity for living individuals to three-hundred; one-hundred and eighty-nine (189) for full house and two hundred and eleven (211) for browsing.

Due to the value of the collections, twenty (20) DRK-1 droids were dispatched throughout the structure. Their objective was to observe and if needed, subdue any potential threats until the proper authorities could arrive.

History:

Despite their reputation as conquerors and destroyers of worlds, the One Sith had began implementing new policies to bring security and culture to their citizens. Several programs were agreed upon and put into place. Hence the creation of this building. They wanted to show not only their own citizens but the galaxy that they cared for the well being of those under their rule.

Several Lords and Ladies in the guise of business people and art collectors scoured the galaxy and began purchasing works of art, statues, and other objects of culture legally while shunning away from purchasing these fine pieces through black markets or unsavory characters. They did not want any taint of theft or corruption associated with them.

Singers and musical bands, along with actors and actresses were hired on full time. Once a month a special guest would appear on the bill to perform. To ensure that every citizen and guests to the city had an opportunity to watch the shows or browse the collections, a fair price of admission was agreed on at fifty (50) credits per person while a family package could be purchased for one hundred and seventy-five (175) credits.

The building itself was built in two months time, using several contractors and their crews to work on and complete the project. The day-to-day operations was handled by Toma Draico, a well known female art collector, who answered only to two people, Darth Venefica and the Dark Lord himself.
