"Despite the harsh conditions, Briana felt a thrill of both exhilaration and nostalgia course through her veins. Having trained with Romi during her own Padawan days on Ossus, she had a vague notion of the trials that lay ahead. The journey would undoubtedly test them both, pushing them to their limits and beyond."
― Briana Sal-Soren

"All questions that would be answered whenever she achieved her climb. Which came to an abrupt halt as the steep angle turned into a flat landing. Eyes reaching up and mind shaken from her thoughts about talking to her cousin when the sight of Romi Jade made itself known. The initial gusto of bending her cousins ear gone at the sight of the blonde woman. Her whole form freezing with the woman speaking to them and clearing up a long standing misbelief in her own mind. Romi. No wonder everyone she asked about the woman always seemed to draw up a blank."
― Lossa Darcuhl

"She'd been rather excited when Romi put out the chance... her newest training style.. her works were grand and where she seemed to focus more and more on the external.. on seeing what mysteries, what wonders could be found and done with the force... Romi was improving many things in terms of training."
― Matsu Ike

"The Silver Jedi's large educational reforms come after reading some of Romi Jade's treatises on different Force training and bladework techniques, they have inspired these changes."

ONE PERSON'S RECOUNT:
In the heart of Eadu's mist-covered mountains, a Twi'lek Jedi named Aric Talon found himself facing one of the most challenging trials of the program. Guided by the teachings of Master Jade, Aric was tasked with navigating a treacherous obstacle course that winded through the rugged terrain.
Rain poured relentlessly, turning the uneven ground into a slippery challenge. The wind howled, making the task even more daunting. Clad in his Jedi robes, Aric focused on his breathing, channeling the Force to enhance his balance and agility. Each step was calculated, each jump precise.
Master Jade watched from a distance, her eyes following Aric's progress with a mix of intensity and pride. She knew that this trial wasn't just about physical prowess, but about mastering the mind as well. Aric's connection to the Force, his ability to stay focused amid adversity, was being tested as much as his physical abilities.
As Aric approached a narrow bridge suspended over a deep ravine, the wind picked up, threatening to knock him off balance. He hesitated, uncertainty flickering in his eyes. It was a critical moment, a test of his resolve. Would he give in to doubt, or would he trust in his training and the Force?
Master Jade's voice echoed in his mind, a calming presence amidst the chaos. "Trust in yourself, kid. Feel the Force flow through you. It'll guide your steps."
With renewed determination, Aric closed his eyes for a moment, focusing inward. He visualized the bridge as an extension of himself, his connection to the Force creating an unbreakable bond. Gathering his strength, he stepped onto the bridge, moving with a grace that seemed almost supernatural.
As Aric reached the other side of the ravine, a sense of accomplishment filled him. The rain seemed to lessen, the wind to ease. He had overcome the external challenges, but more importantly, he had triumphed over his own fears and uncertainties.
Master Jade approached, a small smile on her lips. "You faced the storm, Aric, and emerged stronger. Remember this moment, it's a reflection of your journey as a Jedi. This path is filled with challenges, but your connection to the Force will always be a guide."
The Twi'lek nodded, his heart filled with gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose. The trials on Eadu were shaping him into a Jedi of resilience, determination, and profound connection to the Force. On his walk back toward the temple through the misty landscape, Aric felt a deep sense of camaraderie with the other trainees who were undergoing their own trials, knowing that together, they were becoming something greater than they had ever imagined.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Romi Jade has always been somewhat of an anomaly when it comes to the Jedi Path. Between 830-840s ABY, In her youth, padawanship to Knighthood, Romi chose the unorthodox in every approach to her training, and highly emphasized overall preparedness for any situation. These traits stuck with her well into her Mastership when she began to take on apprentices of her own. With the structure listed above in mind, she was a hardy and tough Master who ran an intense program that often proved extremely difficult for her students to withstand in the beginning stages.

She went on to open her own Enclave on Jakku that adopted similar practices and used a harsh environment to instruct students in the ways of the Jedi. These practices were still in place when she moved to be Headmaster of the Ossus Jedi Praxeum. Her methodology has always been to provide students with what she believed they needed to start and maintain a Jedi career with longevity in a Galaxy engulfed in constant war.

She developed the practicum to be a unique and immersive training experience that captured those practices and introduced Jedi across the Galaxy to her personal training methods and philosophies. Led by her, the retreat was designed to train aspiring Jedi in the ways of the Force, and help them to develop their skills and unlock their full potential. The program ensured that each participant received personalized instruction and guidance on their journey to becoming a Jedi, and helped drive home the point that there needed to be massive revamps in the overall structure of Jedi training in order to match the chaotic times they were in.
