SPECIAL FEATURES
As part of Aurora Industries' Aeon Program, an upgrade to the Sylphi Point Defense system was commissioned to further enhance its dual nature of a laser and ion point defense system. Taking innovations created for the Valefor laser cannon and the Shiva ion cannon, the design team combined some of the systems from those weapons into those of the Sylphi to create something new that they called the Leviathan Point Defense system.
Utilizing the power of the Ramuh-II core, the design has improved energy output that allowed the team to create four different firing loadouts for the system in keeping with the Aeon Program's underlying philosophy. The three of the loadouts makes use of the dual laser and ion emplacement system of the previous model, with each of these modes being able to distribute the power differently for enhanced range, stopping power, or rate of fire to disable enemy small craft, missiles, torpedoes, or even debris such as asteroids and meteorites. The fourth loadout, the Pulse Loadout, acts as a scaled down version of the Shiva's ion pulse.
- Intent: To submit a fourth generation point defense system for Aurora Industries to utilize and sell.

SPECIAL FEATURES
- Continuing the variable design philosophy of Aurora Industries, the Leviathan Point Defense System is designed with four different firing loadouts that a gunnery crew can switch between with a toggle switch:
- The Standard Loadout utilize Sianteria gas canisters and negatively charged ionic particles in a combined laser and ion system, powered by the Ramuh-II power core, to attack enemy fighter craft, missiles, and torpedoes with stronger than normal point defense laser and ion blasts.
- The Rapid-Fire Loadout sacrifices some of the range of the system but channels that power from the Ramuh-II core to increase the firing rate of the system to lay down a blanket of close protective fire.
- The Intercept Loadout sacrifices some of the rate of fire of the system but channels that power from the Ramuh-II core to increase the range capabilities of the point defense fire while reducing the overall recoil of the weapon. The system also utilizes more ammunition capacity from the gas canisters to maintain the damage output of the standard loadout.
- The Pulse Loadout shifts the internal components of the weapon to utilize internal plasma rotors to fire ion pulses at long range and with enhanced stopping power, although the system does reduce the rate of fire to compensate for this and the plasma rotors can only generate a small amount of ammunition for the weapon before they need to recharge.
- The Leviathan Point Defense system can be configured into any style aesthetic, based on the ship being constructed, and can also be configured into any layout such as single laser cannons, twin cannons, turrets, and so forth.
- The Leviathan Point Defense system can switch between four different firing loadouts at the discretion of the gunnery crew by toggling through available ammunition options.
- An internal Ramuh-II Power Core allows the Leviathan to be independent of a ship's reactor core, allowing gunnery crews or fighter pilots to fire the weapons even if the main reactors are sabotaged or disabled. With the upgrade from the Ramuh-II, power flow is more efficient and enables the necessary power needs for the various fire loadouts of the Leviathan.
- If the preservation field capsule fails or the device is sabotaged within the Ramuh-II core, the crystal within sublimated immediately into its plasma state, reducing the power output of the device by roughly half until a new crystal capsule is installed. This reduces the damage output and rate of fire of all the ion cannon's firing loadouts by one stage.
- When set to the Pulse Loadout, allied starships need to be careful as the circular spread nature of the pulse is indiscriminate and can short out allies caught in the circumference including the equipped ship's own missiles and torpedoes or those of its allies.
