An Uncommon Ending

A heavy sigh escaped her lips as she sat forward, her golden hues peering over the work she had brought together - of course the thoughts and problems that arose from others were just as focused upon. Yet another bounty, though this time one for her capture - as if she'd submit to the failed state of Alderaan or a world such as Brokellia - both of whom she saw no need to acknowledge as rightful governments in their own.
Leaning back slightly, a soft smirk crossed her lips as she closed her eyes for a moment. Slowly the golden hues opened and she leaned forward, beginning to type up the message for the record.
~ Minister of Defense Amelia Sorenn-Syrush - Declaration of Intent ~
My actions are thus as seen in my own light as legal in their application and responded to in such as barbaric by those that would otherwise disregard the legality of such a position.
To this end and to ensure the safety and security of the Commenor Systems Alliance, I hereby state my intent to step away from my posting - thus naming Deputy-Minister of Defense [member="Cato Marek"] as the current and acting Minister of Defense in my stead.
Additionally - the capture bounty on House Organa is to be revoked - provided that the Execution Order upon House Sorenn-Syrush is likewise revoked in good faith by [member="Darth Metus"] - failure to do such shall resulted in the appropriate repercussions being taken.
This is my last act as Minister of Defense
~ End of Declaration ~
Leaning back, she simply set a timer on the message - making sure that it wouldn't be sent until a few hours after her next meeting - ensuring that it would reach the appropriate parties required. Though first there were others that she was sure needed to be placated. With that soft smirk still upon her lips, she pressed a button on her desk firmly, holding it for a moment.
"Alessara, please inform [member="Lady Kay"] and [member="Kei Raxis"] that I wish to meet with them in my former office."
Pushing herself from her seat, she pulled the heavy helm off of the desk and pulled it on, her focus going to the Knights that stood in the corners, she merely nodded.
"You know what to do."
Both would salute as she approached the cabinet door, pushing it open and smirking slightly. Pulling the decanter from its resting spot, she poured herself a glass before setting it down on the table. Bringing the glass to her lips, she took one last look out the window before setting the sanguine liquid upon the table as well. Slowly she leaned against her desk, her arms crossed over her chest.
For now all she could do was wait for her guests.

Kay let out a deep breath as she read the decleration of intent. The whole situation was a mess, just as the one with Veiere was. She couldn't help but feel sympathy for them both. It was just....stupid.

The message arrived soon afterwards. [member="Amelia Sorenn-Syrush"] wanted to meet with her at the Senate Hall. Of course she would. Kay wanted to talk to her anyways, just as she spoke with her husband. It was the best way to handle things, the best way that she knew how.

An hour later Kay knocked at the door of Amelia's office. She wrapped her shawl more tightly around her shoulders, giving her a small sense of security and support.

Hopefully today will go well.

Kei strolled down the corridor.

He hadn't bothered using the holoprojectors to appear like a regular joe, instead choosing to show up to Amelia's office with The Armour of Darth Krayt on show. He didn't know why, perhaps he thought that the armour would be intimidating. Perhaps it was too much effort to set up a holobelt just so he looked like he was wearing a suit. He walked with the full armour on display, spikes protruding from his upper torso and arms.

He even wore the helmet.

Amelia Sorenn-Syrush had attempted to kill him during The Battle of Alderaan, he wasn't taking any chances against her. His lightsaber lay as his side, attached to his belt via the special clip. He would have liked to have a blaster upon his person but he knew that he couldn't carry one without some guard getting suspicious. A lightsaber would pass, many people had never seen one before. However, everyone had seen a blaster.

Kei didn't know why Amelia had summoned him. Perhaps she was giving herself up to face trial. Kei hoped that was the case, she would be trialed on Comennor before being transported to the home of Faith Organa to face trial for treason and accomplice to murder. Amelia was a wanted minster, she had commited crimes no-one could dare imagine. She was the minister of defense and she had chosen to throw it all away for no reason.

Kei walked up to the office, eyes locked on Kay. She would recognise him, she had seem him since he was trapped in the armour. She had seen him at the First Order ball, holoprojectors working their magic. Perhaps she would be confused, think the armour could be removed. Kei didn't think he had ever told her the truth, told her that he couldn't remove the armour no matter how much he wanted to, how much it would make sleep eaiser.

Kei wondered the true meaning of this. Perhaps Amelia wanted to make her demands, perhaps she was willingly giving herself up. Perhaps there was something else to all this, perhaps Amelia wanted to make a dramatic exit before she ran away into the night. A good way to go out, fleeing from the punishment you earned by siding with The Sith Empire and you assisted in burning Alderaan to the ground, to ash.

"So. How's this gonna go?"

He grinned under the helmet towards Kay. Then he pushed the door open, and stepped inside.

Eyes closed, her breast filled as she took a deep breath before those golden hues slowly opened once more - watching as the doors to the office opened. Settling upon [member="Lady Kay"], always the radiant one. She seemed to be clinging to the shawl wrapped around her, perhaps as if in some kind of means to feel secure or safe. Then her attention shifted to the armored individual, though she didn't care for [member="Kei Raxis"], nor did she really want any further interactions with that particular individual.
Stepping forward, she lift the glass from the table once more, taking a sip of its contents before setting it down. Savoring the taste for a moment before settling her attention upon Kay.
"Now then, shall we..."
Before she could finish her sentence something caught her eye - then everything slowed - it felt as though everything was moving in slow motion when the first round tore through the glass, placing a noticeable hole in the wall. She looked towards Kay, quickly grabbing at the table in the center of the room - Amelia shown her hidden strength - lifting it with ease and throwing the table towards Kei just as the second round tore through the glass. The concussive force from the gunship's blaster cannons throwing the table into Kei.
Amelia quickly turned to face the gunship, though a soft smirk crossed her lips. Golden hues strained against the sun that poured in through the visible holes of the once tinted windows as another blast tore into the office, quickly followed by the next, then the next. The gunship hovering outside the window was soon joined by another, their combined fire tearing into the office before it happened.
The room filled with fire and smoke as an explosion tore through the office, focused near the desk that Amelia had been leaned up against - it took much of the room above and below the office with it - and just as quickly as it had begun, it was over. The two gunships pulled away, leaving smoke and fire in their wake.
The two guards that had been with Amelia were gone, swallowed by the hole opened up beneath them. Slowly as the smoke began to blow away, the winds shifting its direction, the picture would be seen. The office was torn apart, scorched in many places and all but gone in some others. It would take some time, though eventually the body would be discovered, laying at the edge of the hole leading to the floor beneath was Amelia.
Half her face was torn away, burned beyond recognition from the flames, her left arm missing, her right arm shattered though still attached. There was nothing left in terms of her left leg, shorn away at the hip - nothing remained beyond a mangled body where she had once been standing just moments before. Just as quickly a group of the Knights of the Pyre rushed into the room, two of them quickly grabbing the Queen.
"Come with us Ma'am! Are you injured!?"
They bellowed, pulling her into the hall as four others closed around her. Two more rushed into the room, grabbing Kei Raxis and hefting him up from the floor (provided the blasts from the explosion knocked him on his ass).
"Sir! Sir, are you alright Sir!"
Their voices flowed from their heavy helms, their armor a sight to behold in their own as they looked him over. The remaining Knights stepped into the room, one moving to the body and kneeling down, a heavy gauntlet pulled from their hand as they pressed their finger's to the cadaver's throat.
"No pulse."
They called as they looked over their shoulder.

Kay saw [member="Kei Raxis"] arrive beside her through the corner of her eye. She turned to look at him, lowering her hand after knocking on the door. Surprise was written on her face as he was fully decked out in armour, including his helmet. "Well if that look doesn't tell her to come peaceful conclusion, nothing will." Of course she was being sarcastic, her smirk evident.

Kay stepped inside as soon as the door opened. She knew that this would be an uncomfortable meeting, just as it was when she had her own husband arrested. What she had exoected to receive was [member="Amelia Sorenn-Syrush"] 's formal resignation, but what they got was something else entirely.

Gunfire. And not just the kind from a blaster fire. This was worse and came from outside. Kay crouched down, ducking behind a chair. She was the only one in the room not wearing armour of any kind. Not even a helmet. So when the explosion came it threw both herself and the chair against the wall. At least it wasn't a heavy chair. The spunds were too much, leaving Kay with a high pitched ringing in her ears that drowned out the rest of the sounds. She watched in horror as the office burned.

When the guards came and picked her up, she couldn't hear them, her eyes searching for both Kei and Amelia. That was when she saw her Minister's mangled body. "AMELIA!! AMELIA!!" Shock ran through her system, giving her a small boost of energy. Tears fell as she tried to get out of the grip of the Knights, but it was futile. Their grip was like a vice that pulled her from danger.

Alarm bells rang out, cutting through the hallways. The fire brigade was coming, as were all other emergency personnel.

This was not what she had planned today.

A Knight Stood. A little shorter than the rest, chest less bulked and the way his arms waned when he saluted gave an off and uneasy air as he stood towered and squished between two fellows. He could swear he seldom heard these folk speak, and he felt the whispers they might speak were the sort that would fuel dread and break the spirit of mortal men. Effective if that was the case, but boredom led to excitement of the mind and he was sure he was simply suffering it. He stood as what crossed his path was a rather... familial sight. He couldn't let it be seen, hell Amelia might not have said it but he was sure that his presence here playing bodyguard for a Vampire was the last thing that could be revealed, a history was an understatement between him and Kay and unlike most of her Rivals he seemed to be that persistent thorn that never left. And he never planned.

As Kay passed,a new man on the block rolled past, he was.... A recent addition. In the sense that he was another of those Bounty Placers. Well, there were only two, but in the past few days it felt like a thousand bounties had been posted and for each credit dropped a bounty hunter came a knocking. Small timers, never making it much further than a room or two before the Pyre extinguished there fight and off to the dungeons with them. But his mind teetered off a bit, he was unfocused on Raxis as he passed, he had met one of his clan, Stardust and he wasn't there biggest fan. He took a step forward, prepared to intervene for his payment of Jack Daniel's and a can of Whiskey before noticing the other Pyre's seemed.... Unmoved by his passing. He quickly pulled himself back, his size and stature no doubt making him seem nothing short of some upstart unaware of his place.

As the doors swung open he caught the briefest glance of Amelia. He wasn't sure how she got those Golden Hues but he was certain it was something mystical. His stance slouched a little, the other Pyre's had it drilled in to stand tall and firm, Thraxis was no such pawn, resting on the wall as he crossed a leg as Amelia greeted the honored guests.

For approximatly, two seconds.
It crumbled, reality bent as the building sway, gravity picking Thraxis off his feet as he rolled down, his body laid flat on the ground as the other Pyre's dressed in heavy metal too much weight, smoke and debris rolled up, the corridor littered with rubble and screens of smoke as Thraxis struggled to pull himself up, disorientation mixed with overwhelming weight as he stumbled to the side, a group of Pyre's rolled forward, almost streamlined in their movement's as Thraxis blinked twice, once to wake up, a second to catch up with reality as it all twisted and turned.

He snapped to his senses in a few seconds, he wasn't one to be taken back, and playing bodyguard he should have stood a little more on his toes. But he swayed into a stance as Kay was pulled back as well as Raxis, shaking his head in confusion he approached behind them, regaining his footing as he broke into an almost unnatural trance. Something was in the air, something rare. It was seldom smelt in all his life, but for once as he approached past with the sway of the dead past the two, an unnatural calm as he walked through hell stone and debris he paused, he towered over a corpse. Smoke rolled around, pulled in and out in a snapping dance, rolling out like a calm river but being sucked up like a Giant consuming the world. It was.... Important? Someone important laid dead in front of him. He rose his fingers, the Knights of the Pyre didn't care about him being there, they had a Queen and a Diplomat to save and the ship had long since departed. He counted, and spoke only a single word. "One. One... Bounty Claimed." He bent down, crouched his knees sticking out as the weight of the world vanished, hands coiling around the Vampire's corpse as he picked and pulled them over his shoulder's, the body was hard to recognize and pieces rolled off and over his armor falling in shredded clumps as he looked to the hole that had been formed by the gunship. His freedom found, he pulled his wrist to his hand,a communicator, in truth he had been preparing to evacuate Amelia and let the Knights die if only to prolong his contract, but it seemed his contract had been broken and payment had yet to be met. "Rejects. Immediate departure." His voice ran smooth and gravely as a tinge of mania ran through him, the corpse tossed over his shoulder's as he looked to the duo. "I do trust you two won't mind. You see, she promised to pay me and.... Well." He nudged his shoulder, a piece of skin flaking in a burnt dance as it swayed in the dust and rubble before landing on the ground without even a tap. "Can't pay me like this. So Imma cash in with Methius." He sighed, his hands igniting in two sheen of white light as his Vambraces activated in case this was to get physical. Not that he was waiting long.

If uninterrupted he strolled over without a care in the world, hoping that the confusion and impact of the whole ordeal took them off their feet as a small ship descended, Commenorio Insignia all over but this hunk of junk sure wasn't, the rear descending as two unruly men caught the body as he tossed it aside with as much care as he could, standing over a leaning gap as two Knights sat, shaken, not stirred, and severely injured. With a darting hop he clambered over with as much grace as a mule stuck in a heavy suit of armor, one of the Reject's catching him and struggling to pull him in as he pointed to the two crashed soldiers. "Might wanna help them." He said in a moment of genuine care, those two got caught up in the wrong crap show. Good thing for Thraxis, was he was quite adept at dealing with them, considering his life had been just one big crap show.
