Peace is not the natural state of this galaxy. The Galactic Alliance- the bastion of democracy, the shining city on the hill- finds itself besieged on all sides. The Sith are resurgent. Old foes long thought to be vanquished arise to balance the scales in their favor. It is a time of great turmoil. A dark shadow has fallen over the Galaxy, and even the mighty Jedi find themselves stretched to the brink.

Which brings us to Myrkr.

Responding to a strange signal emanating from Myrkr, a group of Padawans are tasked with identifying the source of the signal, and reporting back. A routine assignment, that Padawans should be able to accomplish by themselves as Knights and Masters are stretched thin.

However, not all is as it seems.

Upon entry into the atmosphere, their shuttle is shot down. Comms are down; they cannot radio for help. Soon, the Padawans find themselves surrounded, hunted by foes eager to smother the burgeoning Champions of the Force in their cribs. Outmatched and outnumbered, the Padawans have to rely on their wits, their lightsabers, each other, and Force, if they want to leave Myrkr alive.

The tale begins soon after the crash...

-----------------------------------------------------------

Sazo slaps the comm unit again, panic increasing. She wipes the blood off of her face- the cut on her forehead is bleeding, but only an annoyance.

"I repeat, this is Jedi Shuttle Voyarck...requesting assistance, to any GADF, friendly forc-"

The comms squawked in distress, then died. The Korun bowed her head, running through a calming technique, with...some success. She wishes that she was still has Force blind as she was when she came to the Temple a few months ago. That her knowledge of the Force only extended to "punch good, run fast". Then she wouldn't sense the overwhelming...darkness around them.

She turned to the assembled group of Padawans.

"I think that our first order of business should be to scavenge whatever we can that's valuable from the shuttle, and start moving."

She looked up, through the jungle underbrush. She shivered as the darkness seemingly intensified...and the air seemed colder.

'Because we aren't safe', she thought.

Everyone was out, at least as far as Aris could tell.

He wasn't sure what had happened, only that the shuttle had been brought down. Crashed, here. This was supposed to be a simple field trip alongside some of his friends and some other's he'd yet to meet, but all of that went right down the drain when he ended up waking up in what remained of their ship. Seszil had helped to cut his way out. As well as his sheer strength to bend away the panels and help usher the others out.

And yet, he couldn't sense the darkness around them. He glanced to the wreckage, his expression tight. Serious. "Rescuers will come here first. We should hunker down, set up shop. We can cut the ship apart as needed for shelter. What we should focus on first is finding drinkable water."

Objective: Behind Enemy Lines; go have some fun with some Jedi paddies, maybe show them my new glow stick?

The Sith had eyes and ears everywhere.

So it didn’t come as a surprise when a mission for some Jedi padawans was intercepted by Sith intelligence, and the message was passed along to individuals who might want to capitalize on an opportunity.

Padawans were a decent challenge for Sith Acolytes to target; skills sets and abilities were roughly similar between the two sides.

Revna had been asked if she wanted to go on a hunt for some Jedi padawans, and of course she had heartily agreed. She needed to fine tune her huntress senses and skills, and what better way than to terrorize some paddies?

She was joined by other Sith; some Lords, some Knights and other Acolytes as well as some associates and other individuals. It almost wasn’t fair to the young Jedi who would soon be hunted down like animals, that they had caught the attention of Sith of various strength and power and abilities.

The planet that had drawn the attention of the Sith was known as Myrkr, a forested world that would be perfect for Revna to truly unleash her inner hunter. The lessons on stealth and deception from her Mentor would be put to good use here, or so she hoped anyway. And all the other skills and abilities she had learned over the past few months would come into play.

And maybe…just maybe…she’d get to baptize her new lightsaber in the blood of a Jedi. Wouldn’t that be nice?

A distress signal was a beacon for the Sith. Upon touching down on the world, Revna spied others she knew, like Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr , Zachariah Conway Zachariah Conway , and Trayze Tesar Trayze Tesar . Of course, her own Mentor was with her, as was Commodore Helix Commodore Helix . Others would arrive as well, drawn in by the sense of coming doom, and the excitement that was sure to come of this.

The task for the Sith was clear: find and execute the Jedi padawans, and deal a heavy blow to their Order. And of course, come back alive and in one piece.

The young Sith woman was as prepared as she was going to be; she had meditated, strengthened her bond to the Dark side, and had set her mind on victory. Anything to make her Mentor proud of her. She knew he was, but she still strove to please him.

It made her happy to do so.

Upon setting foot on the planet’s surface, Revna let her senses stretch out to see what she could feel. She could sense the unmistakable presence of the Light side, deep in the lush forests. It made her lip curl slightly in disgust. As a soul born and molded by the Darkness, the Light was anathema to her.

But at least its presence gave her a general sense of direction. She cast a look towards Darth Strosius Darth Strosius , ever wearing his mask and robes, and gave him a dark half smirk.

Oh this was going to be fun!

Sol couldn't suppress a curse at his luck; his first trip off-world in what felt like ages, and it ended with the shuttle being shot down. The irony of the situation wasn't lost on him, though it failed to elicit even a smirk from the usually lighthearted Mirialan. Instead, he wore a mixed expression of discomfort and confusion as he surveyed the scene.

Glancing at the other Padawans, Sol struggled to recognize anyone, his head still reeling from the impact of the crash. Realizing he couldn't focus on the details of the others, he turned his attention back to the shuttle. Carefully making his way inside, he checked to see what provisions could be salvaged, a suggestion from one of the other passengers.

"If we can find a stream and something that can withstand intense heat, boiling the water should, in theory, remove any harmful substances," Sol called out from within the shuttle, having caught the tail end of a conversation about drinkable water.

A slight ringing echoed in her ears, but it wasn't what caused Zaiya's skin to dampen to a silvery hue.

With unsteady steps, the Lovalla's iridescent blue eyes gradually widened. As her practice with sensing the Force and the energy around her continued, so did her ability to discern the notable emotions and lingering energies of the people and places surrounding her. Although subtle, this place made her skin crawl, a nauseating sensation that dulled her markings to an ombré of browns and lime green hues, flecked with a glowing silvery luminescence—a clear sign of trouble.

It was akin to the thick, putrid miasma she remembered from the encounter with the Twi'lek who had harmed Braze Braze .

Her heart raced with growing anxiety as Zaiya turned to Aris Noble Aris Noble and Sazo Vass Sazo Vass .

"There is something very, very wrong here, Aris," she voiced, her growing fear evident on her face, brows furrowed as she unconsciously stepped closer to Aris, as if seeking protection from an impending threat.

"It feels like before, back at the temple, with the one who was chasing Braze. But worse... so much worse."

With the presence of yslarmi and other Force-nullifying beasts, it was little surprise that the Sith would keep an eye on the planet - and by extension, Trayze Tesar. The Kiffar stoically regarded both the masked Sith of Darth Strosius, the right hand of his Lord-cousin, and his apprentice, Revna, and he seemed to tiredly acknowledge all things with a jaded acceptance. He neither sneered at the Light, nor panicked at the sliding oily shadows of the Yslarmi lurking through the trees.

His purpose, along with the rest of his peers that Malum got together as soon as he had heard the Padawans crash-land, was a bit more personal. He respected his peers, even admired some, but it would be remiss to trust the Sith in any capacity. Though he hoped to be proven wrong, he wished to ransom a few padawans, perhaps get them to consider their notions of the Sith and Jedi - but as long as the Golden Prince, and by extension, the Butcher King had him on payroll, the liklihood was slim. Still, any young mind who at least doubted the soul-obliterating afterlife that the Jedi espoused would be a win in the Kiffar's books.

"Lord Strosius, Miss Revna." the detective turned acolyte turned captain under marque began with a polite bow. "Intelligence suggests approximately times-ten potential survivors." he regaled them with the reports extrapolated from both Malum's networks, and the ones his Tactical Droids extrapolated while aboard his personal frigate, the Conciliator. "Whether or not all of them are Padawans, or even survived, may remain to be seen. We must remain cautious - we are still within glancing distance of both the Alliance, but other polities as well - the Mandalorian Protectorate being the most likely, astrographically, to patrol the Hydian Way and Daragon Trail. Other potential factors include the Mawites and the so-called "Imperials"." he concluded with a stern look at both the Sith Lord and his apprentice. "We must act swiftly to secure our quarry."

This was a test.

It reeked of it in more ways than one. In that regard, 666 had the distinct impression that she was to approach the operation however she saw fit, so long as she furthered the aims of the Eclipsing Mission in the process. And so, given the relatively open-ended nature of the this particular assignment, 666 found herself falling into the familiar comfort of prayer to seek insight from her God, in spite of the fact that she was in close proximity to a group of heretical Sith who had made themselves anathema to Him. She did not trust them, of course. However, in this context, they were not her enemies, and she had even developed a minor rapport with the Kiffar among them owing to her assistance in his raid against a group of anti-Sith rebels.

And so, with the conclusion of her prayer, 666 rose back up to her feet and listened to the briefing given by the Kiffar. She made eye contact with him and gave the impression of attentiveness as he spoke, but ultimately, she intended to pursue her own objectives.

Thus, 666 did not wait for the others to catch up as she slipped away from the group and made her way into the jungle. All the while, her probe droid flitted above the canopy, its photoreceptor alight with awareness it zoomed in on the smoking crash site and the raging stream that was not too far away from it.

All the while, while monitoring her droid’s feed from below, 666 assessed that the Jedi would be concentrated around any one or both of those two areas.

Snap, crackle, pop! The sky was ablaze with fire and smoke as the ongoing siege proceeded to darken the skies above the forest with smoke and raining ashes with each toil and rumble above the orbit. The Prime had witnessed shooting stars many-a-time before but this one seemed...different. The Warborn Prime squinted those many eyes, observing the sheer spectacle from an elevated position atop the mightiest tree in the forest as the Xeno pondered passively as a strange vessel broke into atmosphere with engines aflame and trailing smoke through the air hurdling down towards the planet.

As she dangled a leg over her knee and tapped an azure claw along the chittering teeth lining the sides of her face while sitting high upon a branch, finding comfort in positions of elevation given her spider-like tendencies to climb.

"I know that look, what are you thinking now? This IS what you wanted right?" A little droid quipped, levitating beside her atop the trees next to Dima as the girl dangled her long legs off the edge daintily. From here, she could see the initial path of the crash as the strange vessel proceeded to crash land into the forest vegetation about a mile from where Domina was spectating from. The droid could tell she was becoming restless as a spectator just sitting around this dreadfully lame world WAITING for something to happen, an itch in her very bones that she needed to scratch only becoming that much more agonizing to ignore. "Domina?" they echoed again as Dimas expression scrunched up as if she were visibly displeased with something.

"So this is it? What this one has been waiting all this time for?" She mused, curling her hair along her claws and hymning a tune thoughtfully as if she were trying to make a decision. "Those darkborn promised Dima many godborn to test this ones claws against. But that ship is looking a little…SMALL huh? Like how many gods can REALLY even fit on such a thing~" She chirped in disappointment, lifting a hand and peering through her claws to 'pinch' the crashing vessel before it finally vanished into the trees.

X9 was quick to correct her.

"Darkbo- oh you mean the Sith." X9 corrected, Dima rolling her eyes in disinterest as X9 did so.

"What the fuck EVER~" She scoffed, stuffing her hand into the droids visor and mushing them away as she used her tail to point towards the mega-structure. "But it is them, yes? The Lightborn Champions this one was promised? Dima figured such mighty godborn would like…make the ship FLOAT or something but they kinda just let it crash so how GODLY can they be?" She admitted aloud. Sighing deeply in general despair before just completely collapsing backwards and just plopping herself down on the trunk of the tree she was lounging upon.

"Well, if it's Jedi they should at least put up a fight right? I really don't know what you expect it's not like a whole capital vessel full of Jedi could have been lured out here!" X9 explained to Dima, attempting to convince her as the young alien girl stared at her Mandalorian Mask. "C'mon turn that frown upside down!? I'm SURE there are strong, worthy jed- i mean GODLINGS aboard the ship! Maybe even the famed Valery Noble Valery Noble !" X9 encouraged, making Dima weigh her head from side to side until the mention of Noble, the famed Sword of the Jedi.

"R-really?! Ya think so? Dima has seen Lady Noble in action on the holonews! She is like a godborn superhero! Like a REAL Warrior Princess just like Dimas favorite story!" She mused before getting all giddy at the idea. "Do you REALLY think she could be there? Dima has heard Lady Noble can like, fight off beast and gods alike with ONE HAND! She must truly be favored by her god, worthy of their divine title!" Dima shrieked in excitement as if she were gushing about some kind of celebrity, punching at the air as if she were shadowboxing. "Dima thinks that, one day, if she's strong enough and pleases The Allfathers. Then The Manda will finally embrace Dima and tell this one she is their favorite daughter! So to meet blades and claws with a godborn like Lady Noble there is no way The Manda wouldn't praise Dima for being such a fine huntress, yes?" Domina rambled and giggled girlishly, swinging her legs in sheer delight of her imagination as X9 just stared at her, sorta flabbergasted at how her mind worked.

"Hun, i…i dunno if thats how that works. But what i do know if you'll never get The Mandas attention sitting up here!" X9 teased, causing Dominas five eyes to dilate as she suddenly stood herself up on the massive tree branch. "Besides, what about the sit- i mean uhhh…Darkborn? Didn't you say you'd help em out if they let yo-"

"Prime does not answer to the Darkborn! They should consider themselves fucking LUCKY they aren't on Dimas menu like the rest of the MEAT!" She snapped her jaws at the droid, causing it to recoil back in alarm before barking out in boisterous laughter. "Besides, if these godborn didn't survive the crash then this one need someone else to scratch this itch. And they'll be the only godborn left around~" She hissed deviously, using those many eyes and scoping out the forest from above and getting a good sight of the crash site due to the smoke rising into the air. Implying that at the end of the day, it mattered little who the enemy was. As long as there was a worthy enemy to be had, Prime would be satisfied~

Just for a moment, Dominas eyes lingered down towards the base of the tree she had scaled. Noticing that Darth Strosius Darth Strosius and his students Revna Revna and Trayze Tesar Trayze Tesar speaking among one another and figuring themselves out which only caused Dima to sigh deeply in boredom just from watching them. "Yeeeeah...definitely not waiting for these losers X9~"

Suddenly, Domina had leapt off of the tree branch. Diving down towards the smaller pines before extending her silk to FLING herself across the sky at great velocity. Using those claws and hooked talons on her feet to jump from tree to tree, branch to branch and making their way towards the crash site from the cover of the darkened canopy of trees.

Cries of pain rang out from within the crashed shuttle. Whines followed by soft growls echoed as padawan after padawan were exiting out of the now ruptured mechanical environment and into the lush forests of Myrkr. A planet well-known for its harsh wild life. Vornskrs and Ysalamiri and whatever else that may of been imported to the planets over centuries. A planet dangerous in its own right, but for Grrwunhoooll, Jedi Knight, this was nothing compared to the perils of his homeworld Kashyyyk.

I hope.

The growls and whines emitted from the shuttle became slightly more melodramatic before subsiding into a irritated growl. There was a loud bang that reverberated within what was left of the crashed vessel become the large figure of a black and silver wookie was revealed. Adorned in a dark brown jedi tunic, a utility belt and a metal vambrace on each forearm, Grrwunhoooll curled his lip up briefly showing his teeth and sniffed the crisp air as he exited a crash site that was smaller then the wookie was sensing. A large shaggy haired hand rest over his left shoulder and for a brief glimpse of time, sight beyond sight observed the busy movements of padawans on the move attempting to establish base camp.

It would of been standard procedure, but on Myrkr? Instinct told the wookie otherwise.

Grrwunhoool opened his eyes awakening from the force's will prodding his psyche to a direction before it vanished rapidly. In actuality, Grrwunhoooll was aboard the padawans shuttle before it broke apart and sent his section blitzing in the opposite direction from the main vessel. Where ever the padawans were they would be alone and without any assistance from the wookie.

For now.

Perhaps it wasn’t a good idea for Ko to join the fellow padawan on this mission. He had been on Myrkr once before. Training with Braze on how to fight while having their Force Abilities nullified. He wasn’t sure if his blindness would cripple him here or be largely unaffected. Regardless, worrying about his own capabilities was soon overshadowed by the concerns of his fellow padawan.

Many of which were younger than him and or very new to the order. Now it seemed clear that they were in a hostile environment and might need to face off against more than just the dangerous fauna here. Ko had a bad feeling about this.

Eventually the Kel Dor emerged from the wrecked shuttle with another in hand. Braze, who Ko’s clawed grip held tightly by the back of their clothes. Holding the boy up off the ground. Trying to get them out of the shuttle since both their hands were broken now. Although Braze was likely not pleased with getting manhandled by Ko here on Myrkr once again.

Once he was out with the other padawans he gently placed the echani boy back down onto his feet. Ko listened to his comrades discuss what they should do next. So Ko chimed in. “Remember, we were sent here on a mission. I don’t think we’ll need to be here long enough to treat this like an extended survival situation. If just some of you also have your Utility Belts, they should suffice for what we need.” Ko explained to the fellow padawans. He knew he wasn’t the oldest one here, but he still felt inclined to remind them that they were here for a reason, to identify the source of a signal. But part of Ko felt that things were different now.

Ko noticed a young teen girl Ko was unfamiliar with, likely one of the newer recruits, closing the distance between herself and Aris. Seemingly worried about something that was coming. If she was new to things, Aris wasn’t a bad choice here for support. The Noble child was undoubtedly strong, as Ko witnessed first hand once before. “Let’s make sure we’re all okay, that was a bumpy ride we just took.” Ko said, encouraging them to make sure they weren’t wounded already. Which would certainly complicate things more.

The Kel Dor also understood than another jedi comrade was missing. Which worried him some. But he understood that they were a knight. So if they weren’t already dead, he felt confident in trusting that the wookie was alive and could take care of themselves for now.

While the other Padawans ( Sazo Vass Sazo Vass Sol Lupercal Sol Lupercal Zaiya Ceti Zaiya Ceti Ko Vuto Ko Vuto ) discussed survival tactics, Eloise quietly ventured out into the surrounding jungle alone. She had suffered only a few bruises, thankfully - from the looks of it, the Knights and Masters who had accompanied them were trapped in another part of the ship which was violently torn from theirs during the crash. If they weren't all dead, chances were high they were seriously hurt.

That was where she came in. As the apprentice of the Chief Healer, she had been trained to use the Force to tend to various injuries. If any of the people who actually knew what the hell they were doing were still alive, she would find and heal them. Then they would figure out what to do next. She was not putting her fate, let alone everyone else's, in the hands of a bunch of teenagers.

The forests of Myrkr were thick and lush with life. She crept slowly through the undergrowth, making her way toward where she believed the other half of the ship had landed. It was a fearful, lonesome trek. She was even more afraid of the wilderness and the Darkness the others detected within the shadows of the trees. It reminded her of Zaathru, where the law of the jungle reigned. Where her parents had become avatars of primal evil.

A twig snapped under a foot that was not her own. Eloise froze, the hairs on the back of her neck standing on end. The Dark took on an even more uncomfortable familiarity, recognition gnawing at the back of her mind as she turned toward the source of the sound...

Raphael woke with a bit of a start, and looked aroound. He was in the wreckage of a ship... He'd been with other Jedi heading to... investigate...

Awareness returned to him immediately as he looked around. He had a minor head injury and a bit of a twisted ankle, but he was lucky, otherwise. Looking around at the twisted machinery and broken pieces, he realized that it could've been a whole lot worse. What had he been doing...? Ah, right! A gear check. He'd finished checking on the food and then was about to check his pistol when... whatever had happened happened. He stumbled forward and out, stumbling into the rest of the padawans.

"Water is important first, yes..." He frowned as he glanced about, his ears picking up one of the others speaking. She didn't like the place andn, admitedly, neither did Raphael. In the ocean that was the Force, he could see darkness all around them. Normally he would've just dismissed it as it beinng dark but... with the time spent on Rapture and what little tutelage of Adeline and Alina he'd been under... He'd gotten very familiar with oppressive dark...

The kel dor made the most sense, and it was more prudent to, at least, get on with the mission, but there was a pervasive feeling that he couldn't shake. Not nearly on the same level as Adeline, but it was very familiar...

He opened his jacket and felt his lightsaber. Still there and in once piece... Then he opened the holster. Pistol was there too. He sighed in relief. They'd get this done... and if somethinng was coming for them? Well, they'd remove the obstacles, as needed.

@everyone, cuz I'm lazy rn

"I do not trust our Sith compatriots for this mission," The masked Malum harshly whispered, having finally arrived at the so-called inner circle consisting of those he had brought along for this expedition, Ali- Darth Strosius Darth Strosius , Trayze Tesar Trayze Tesar , Zachariah Conway Zachariah Conway , Revna Revna , and the one he had briefly met, Commodore Helix Commodore Helix , gazing cautiously toward all those surrounding them, those who ran about completing final preparations, those who were silently making ready to undertake battle, those who celebrated still as the ship was brought down from the sky and had fallen nearby.

Tsis'kaar intelligence may have led them to this query, but to his great chagrin, it would not be the Tsis'Kaar and his Guard that would actually execute the cleanup operation. He had not bothered to inquire if it had been simmering distrust for him and his, though that much was obvious. What, however, he suspected was also the case... was sadism.

They would not make the end of these Jedi merciful.

The grins, laughter, and glee from some of those assembled, were clear enough to indicate that.

Yet what right did he have to judge? He had already killed one padawan...

...

...No, this was different.

What he had done to Julien Lucero Julien Lucero , had been a necessity....

...Had been a mercy...

...Right...?

A padawan that could not be convinced to see the truth of the darkness.

Would only grow to be a knight, a master... and how many of his would they butcher before they were done in the name of their vaunted light?

That would be the same opportunity he would give each and every one of them. An opportunity he feared those around him would not give them. It was their duty, their purpose, to turn those who had been indoctrinated, who had been stolen and forced to undergo the dogma of their Order, to show them the truth of the Darkness.

Those who held the gift of Force Sensitivity had to be cherished, had to be protected.

Until they became willing slaves to Its will.

"...They will not do what is right and proper, they wish for butchery and bloodshed, we must secure the padawans into our custody, show them that we are not what their instructors have lied to them their entire lives," There was much wrong in his Order, so much wrong, but such could be fixed, could be changed, these padawan were not their foes... did not need to be.

Unless they refused to see.

And then he would do what was necessary.

He would do it with iron in his heart, and count it as a blessing, for if they lived, they would grow up to be Jedi.

While the others were in their own seats, the part-nautolian had been within an oxygenated hydro-tank when the shuttle was struck. Perhaps it was a hit to the head or the drastic change of pressure that had cause her to lose consciousness. The last thing she remembered was the violent jolt and a loud explosion.

Nouqai woke to seeing blinding white as her light-sensitive pupils adjusted. The teen groaned, her head spinning while her body ached as if a speeder had just struck her. As her vision cleared, she stared up to the lush green of the canopy. The vines and branches had broke her fall, leaving her hanging by the trunk of a tree, not too far from the ground. Instinctively, her hand reached for the saber at her side which was fortunately still in place. Swiftly, she cut herself lose from the vines, dropping down the the forest floor and landing on her agile feet.

She groaned again as the impact alerted her to the pain on her leg where copper-blue blood trailed down her calf from a gnarly cut. Nouqai started to panic when she realised that there was no one in the vicinity - at least none that she could see. Focus, Nou. Her eyes squeezed shut, and with a few breathing techniques, her speeding heartrate had calmed down into a steady beat. This was no time to panic.

The padawan reached out into the force around her, accessing the situation. There was an unsettling darkness that lingered like a chill in the air. The voice of her previous master Kephi seeming to manifest. Find water. The ambibious nature of her biology meant she wouldn't do well if the mucus on her skin were to dry out - she would have a hard time breathing. While the humidity of the forests helped, if there were threats around, she would have better chances defending herself in water than on land.

Noukai put her trust in the force to lead her. Limping, she would head east.

Emerging from the wreck of the shuttle, Sol rejoined the others, dusting himself off as he did so. Fortunately, the moment of confusion he had experienced began to dissipate, allowing him to focus more clearly on the details around him.

As the others conversed, Sol sidled slightly to one side, gazing into the dark expanse of the forest. Its eerie nature intrigued him, tempting him to explore its hidden depths. "Ten credits says the signal is coming from whatever shot us down," he remarked, his words more of a musing to himself than a directed statement.

His attention abruptly shifted to another pressing matter as he scanned the ground. "I'm pretty sure there were more of us than what is currently gathered here."

Were it not for Myrkr being positioned so close to their foes, Darth Strosius would have been tempted to establish a base of operations on the world. Trees that could fool and trick sensors, beasts capable of disrupting the Force, and an altogether pleasant climate would make for the perfect hidden outpost with which a small force could operate out of. A shame that their visit to the world was only to slay a few Jedi. "You know," He nodded to the smoke rising up from the where the shuttle must have crashed, barely visible in the distance between the branches above them.

"I'm fairly certain that we could see about bringing down a round or two of artillery on their crash site and rid ourselves the trouble." His tone was one of a measured musing however, idly spoken to the Acolyte at his side rather than proposed as an actual plan of action. Hunting down Jedi would be a great training experience for Revna and was one of his favorite ways to conduct war so it wasn't as if he was going to pass it up. Still, there was a part of him that debated taking the simplest path forward. Just in case the Jedi apprentices, or whatever they called themselves, happened to be more capable in escaping them than expected.

The masked man turned his head to regard the Kiffar as he stepped forward, nodding in acknowledgement as the other bowed. "Lord Tesar, always a pleasure." Based on the report they had more than a handful of Jedi to handle then. At least they wouldn't run out of prey he supposed. He cocked his head to the side slightly as the report finished as a skeptical look crossed his hidden visage. "Mawites? Imperials and Mandalorians I can agree with, but that bunch of rabble got themselves all killed did they not? I highly doubt that we'll have to worry about a bunch of frothing berserkers well past their expiration date. Let's just focus our efforts on the apprentices and handle whatever reinforcements appear as they come."

He still didn't know how he was supposed to take their opponents seriously when they had titles like 'Padawan', but they'd perish all the same so their silly names hardly mattered. Speaking of perishing in the forests, his gaze briefly flickered to the Kainite amongst their number and narrowed. She was quick to leave them behind, not that he minded of course, on the hunt it seemed. If she was lucky then perhaps some beast or one of the Jedi would take care of her before he did.

Darth Strosius glanced back up to the branches above as he spotted movement, idly feeling his fangs grind together at the flash of purple moving through the trees. The Domina unsettled him. She was an unknown, both in motivation as well as capability. She had unfortunately placed herself alongside the Kainite menace so at one point or another she would have to be taken care of, a day that was no time soon and one that he did not look forward to in the slightest. Orbital bombardment should do the trick in that regard, or so he hoped at least.

A chuckle escaped him as Malum entered the fray and said what he they should have all been thinking, fixing the other masked Sith with an amused smirk. "I believe that is my line, don't tell me you're finally starting to see my wisdom?" If only the Heir of Marr truly did heed his words then perhaps they wouldn't have to worry about any Kainites alongside them this day. "Fear not, I intend to make sure that the forest will swallow at least one of them. A tragedy in the making." A Jedi apprentice and a Kainite pawn were about the same threat level to the Sith so this mission was nothing but a victory regardless of who he felled.

Unfortunately Malum had indeed not listened to his words and advice after all given his statement regarding their prey, his gaze narrowing into a slight glare. "You want to capture these Jedi apprentices and show them the error of their ways? Jedi. From the Core Worlds. Seeing the error of their ways?" He scoffed and rolled his eyes, dismissing the notion with a wave of his hand as he summoned his lightsaber into his grasp. "All you'd do is waste your own breath and time. Jedi cannot be convinced of their failings, only put down and pitied because they've failed to see the truth of the Dark Side." Finally he looked to the droid general among their number and gestured to the forest around them. "Commodore, do tell me you've brought some forces to establish a perimeter? It will be far easier to hunt if our prey cannot escape this forest for another."

It did not take long for 666’s probe droid to locate another point of interest—a detached section of the shuttle which had landed some distance away from the primary crash site. Upon seeing it in her feed, 666 stopped to decide whether to head towards the detached section, the shuttle, or the stream. She knew that the latter two locations would have more targets, but there would also be more heretic Sith there, who she had learned not to trust. They would doubtlessly get in the way of her objectives and in doing so, potentially cause her to fail whatever test she had been assigned in being sent here.

Thus, her choice was easier than it had initially seemed.

Only a couple seconds after coming to a stop, 666 turned around and kicked into a run. She anticipated the need to reach the detached section quickly. It was isolated and thus, very vulnerable. In her mind, any Jedi there ( Grrwunhoooll Agaburry Grrwunhoooll Agaburry ) would seek to separate themselves from it in search of water, resources, and anything else which might be needed for survival. In that respect, the Aetharian’s decision to head towards the secondary crash site was a race against the clock.

Fortunately, 666 was quite fast on her feet.

Helix had, in truth, some slight ulterior motives for visiting Myrkyr. While most of his troops were busy establishing a perimeter around the forest, or scouting through it to hunt for the Jedi, others were busy carefully removing Ysalamiri from the trees and attaching them to portable nutrient frames. He planned to take back as many of the beasts as he could carry, and establish a stable breeding colony aboard the Fearful Symmetry. They'd be needed for one of his upcoming projects.

"We must act swiftly to secure our quarry."
"Agreed." He said. The man was of course correct. This was not exactly friendly turf. "I'll of course do all I can to assist. They won't get far, if all goes to plan."

"I do not trust our Sith compatriots for this mission,"
"I must again agree. At best, they could compromise opsec. At worst, become a serious tactical liability. Our timetable is a tight one." Lord Malum's next words about taking the padawans alive complicated things more. He might have to retask some of his commandos away from gathering Ysalamiri, should the Jedi prove too hard a target.

Commodore, do tell me you've brought some forces to establish a perimeter? It will be far easier to hunt if our prey cannot escape this forest for another.

As for the proper task at hand, he nodded to Strosius in response. "But of course." He said. "I also have squads sweeping the area for them. If they're spotted, we will know when and where. Their window of escape closes by the minute."

He wasn't entirely sure the B1H droids were up to the task. Reasonably competent soldiers though they were, he was wary of even inexperienced Jedi as these supposedly were. Most of his more acrobatic and deadly troops were too busy climbing trees and grabbing lizards to focus on Jedi. So, it fell mostly to the regular infantry to find them. This would be a fine test of his troops' ability to handle deadlier targets.

He wasn't entirely sure what value hunting down a gaggle of Jedi learners had to his employers. The Kainites along seemed to consider the hunt reason enough. Lord Malum seemed to want them taken and their allegiance flipped, while Lord Strosius wanted them dead on ideological grounds alone. The latter, unfortunately for the Padawans, was the one paying the bills. If he thought he could get away with it, Helix would be tempted to capture one or two himself for Project Somnium. Alas, that technological wonder was still under development. It would have been perfect here, and ended this little hunt before it began. He'd just have to make do with the regular infantry.

The forest was already being filtered through by squads of B1H droids. Some were vocally complaining about the heat or the wildlife or the plants, but most stayed professionally silent and kept the chatter low. "No sign of the Jedi yet, sir." Came the reedy voice of one of the droid officers. "I'd like to see em' try to fight me." Whined another. "My logs say I terminated at least fifty hostiles during the last battle." The officer glared at the boasting droid disapprovingly. "Shut it. You won't terminate anything if you keep making so much noise. Besides, you were probably reading it upside-down. You're built off one of those old, stupid B1 models."

The droid hung its head with a quietly despondent "Roger, roger." and fell silent, continuing the march.

More droids were gathering around the perimeters of the forest, setting up a few holo-droid projectors on portable power generators. The perimeter wasn't perfect yet, but the net was closing...

But of course, the Kainites would bay for the blood of padawans - as he sensed a familiar face, CI-6660 CI-6660 , and an... oddly attractive, multi-limbed... Mandalorian Yslarmi? Shaking his head, he once more succumbed to his impulses, and delved in.

"Patch your droid-net to mine, frequency niner seven seven dot three four." were the last words spoken by the Kiffar detective before he abandoned the very notion of planning that he himself initiated. Of course, no plan survives first contact with a battle, and as far as the the Kainite Cipher and whatever Force-Dead Mandalorian were concerned, there would always be a battle.

Into the underbrush, and not wanting to let the Padawans bleed senselessly, Trayze communicated with his frigate in orbit, as his Tactical droid brought the Conciliator to synchronous orbit above their position. He weaved just enough through the reedy lamentations of the Battle Droids, his tenure under the employ of the SIBC enough for him to know how to move with and more importantly around the tin troopers. For now, this was a race against the clock, and the Force favored those who would dare to try and seek out the first blood.

Braze's condition was dire following the events on Tython. The intricate bones of his right hand—specifically, the wrist, forefinger, and middle finger—were shattered, rendering his once dexterous hands nearly useless. He had joined the expedition not for glory or battle but to serve as the guardian of their vessel, a role he thought safe and within his current means. Yet, fate, it seemed, had other plans.

The mission had spiraled out of control far quicker than anyone could have anticipated. What was meant to be a straightforward reconnaissance had turned into a nightmare scenario. The sudden, violent descent of their craft was a rude awakening for Braze, literally. Jolted from sleep by the shuddering and screeching of their failing ship, he could barely process their rapid descent through the atmosphere. Miraculously, every soul aboard managed to escape the wreckage, a small mercy in an otherwise grim situation.

"We need to move... We were shot down. "

As the dust settled and the reality of their predicament sank in, Braze couldn't help but feel a gnawing suspicion. The circumstances leading to their crash didn't add up; it all seemed too convenient, too orchestrated. A trap, he was sure of it. And amidst this chaos, a singular regret preoccupied his mind: he had wanted this mission to be a gentle introduction for Zaiya Ceti Zaiya Ceti to the smaller, less perilous assignments they undertook. A chance to demonstrate that not every mission was fraught with danger. Yet here they were, stranded and vulnerable, in a situation that screamed of betrayal and hidden dangers.

He tried his best to reach out to Ko Vuto Ko Vuto Aris Noble Aris Noble Zaiya Ceti Zaiya Ceti and tried to link up their minds by reaching out to each of them looking to make a temporary bond.. he couldn't do much but his time on Tython showed him communication was 100% needed.
