Dante Antares Iblis was born in the Outer Rim on a world no one important will likely have heard of. His childhood was spent on his parents' farm. His formative years were kept short and to the point. His parents instilled in him a good work ethic and set him up to take it over some day. But rather than follow in their footsteps, he had dreams beyond the meager subsitence that his parents called a life.

Throughout his childhood and into his teen years he'd constantly gotten into scrapes with other kids. Humans, Near-Humans, Weequay, Devaronians, no matter the species, age, and experience, Dante didn't back down from an exchange of fists. He'd found his calling in the brawl.
But getting into scrapes with the local drunks or some school punks didn't pay. All it left him with were bruises, medical bills, and the constant admonishment of his parents and other authority figures.

Now Dante wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but he sure wasn't dull either. He knew that if he continued simply fighting on a whim, he'd most likely end up dead in an alley somewhere, or contantly on the drip-feed of rotgut as some gangster's attack dog.

Instead, he set his sights on the arenas of the Galaxy. Professional Shock Boxers often appeared on the holonet being interviewed in places like Alderaan and Coruscant. Places where credits flowed and trees, even imported and artifical, were actually green. If they had made it that high, he figured he may have what it takes too.

And so he signed up with his first manager, said his goodbyes to his parents, and left the backwaters for the glory of the arena.

Seluseus Krönch † (deceased)

Description:
An overweight Barbel with red, leathery skin, and yellow eyes. His smile reveals yellowed teeth and the stench of alcohol. He stands at a height slightly taller than average, which used to make him look intimidating, but the waddling he does nowadays has lessened that effect.

Roleplaying:

• He's extremely greedy and will try to turn a profit at any opportunity in order to support his addictions
• Suffers from an extreme sense of self-importance
• Despite his addictions, he retains a persuasive tongue

Background:
The overweight Barabel is a chronic addict of both alcohol and spice. He used to have a promising career, but at some point he quit the ring in favour of the less-taxing work of managing other shockboxers. He's managed various clients, leveraging his connections and name to create a lucrative business model of swindling, match-fixing, and the occaisonal honest fight.

After the last fighter he'd been managing had signed with a more elite coach, he combed through the lower shockboxing-leagues until he found Dante on Hetzal Prime. By feeding the young Dante's ambition and recounting false tales of his own skill, he enticed the fledgling fighter to sign on with him. With his paycheck secured once more by another victim of his schemes, he led Dante out into the wider galactic underworld and its shockboxing scene.

Description: Near-Human with well-developed legs, can still kill a man despite advanced age​

History: Once known as the "Four-Father" for his revolutionary fighting style that involved heavy footwork and the occasional kick. He was a legend of underground shockboxing and an idol Dante looked up to. Has transitioned into coaching since his retirement from active competition.​

Goal: Use his fame to the fullest​

Description: Wide-built Zabrak, mostly seen in clothes lacking sleeves​

History: Among shockboxers Jdio is a legendary multiple-champion. Dante has been following his career ever since he first saw him stomp a rival out of the competition to win his first title.​

RHIDO CROHMIN, Shockboxing Legend

Trait: Unrelenting​

Goal: Enter into the tech-market​

Description: Tall human, rarely seen without crutches​

History: After a legendary peak to his career he dominated the championships for a while and Dante's personal hero. Known for defending his championship title four times in a day, though some claim he could have defended it five times instead.​

SAYLA "STRIKER" AVIM, Shockboxer

Trait: Cold and Professional​

Goal: Become a crime boss​

Description: Falleen, lithe but with deadly technique, she's taller than most humans​

History: She was one of the early shockboxers Dante fought who managed to knock him out with three well placed punches over the course of a six rounds.​
