The Mephyt
Point Nadir
Finally, a lead of some sort.

A way off this damn asteroid, and away from the fools who had all but enslaved him to his datapad.

Naturally the one dubbed 570ЯM had no way to get from Nadir to Exocron, he barely had enough money to put food on the table most days much less refuel his beloved vessel. No, instead he sat within the small conference room staring at the holoprojector which would pull his visage from this very room and into the office of [member="Hala Jast"] - provided nothing messed up.

His connection wasn't the best, it was run through various networks to keep his location and identity under wraps which wouldn't have been so bad had this area of the shadowports hangar system not been such a dead zone where the holonet was concerned.

Watching the holoprojector on the desk he tested the program he was using and saw that even now it was wavering. And he was in the same room as the device. Hutts knew how it would be all the way across the systems.

Then, out of nowhere, the connection lifted and the image solidified. It seemed as though sending his little astromech to boost the signal worked, but for how long he didn't know. Best he get to it.

Patching in to the Hala Jast's frequency he waited to be put through.

Truth be told he didn't know exactly what it was she wanted to hire him for, but at this point any job was better than no job at all.

He hadn't given his name, and through the wonders of technology he had somewhat altered his face to keep the woman on the other end from running his visage through any databases.

Better safe than sorry.

Exocron, Office

Jast Shipwright Co. was expanding. And naturally due to that expansion she wanted to acquire a few designs that were not her own, and maybe modify them for the better. What was the best way to do that? Corporate warfare?

Slicers.

The Holotank in her office buzzed to life, showing her leaning back in her chair with a cup of half an half Caf and Whiskey.

"Ahhh so there you are. Nice to finally meet you."

Just as he came to life within her room, so too did she appear before him now in all her holorific glory.

She appeared... Relaxed. That boded well, showed that she didn't take herself too seriously, or so he deduced. What did he know? The only contact they'd had so far was via the holonet, and you couldn't get much in the way of emotion through flat text on a datapad.

"Ah, Miss Jast," he began, having no cause to begin their discussions disrespectfully, "A pleasure to see you at last."

That rhymed. Huh. Completely unintentional, yet it amused him all the same. In fact it forced the slightest of smiles upon his expression. Their connection wavered for a moment, which had him sucking in a short breath in hopes that it wouldn't falter completely, and was satisfied when it held its ground. Very good.

"Let's get down to business, shall we?"
