SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Interchangeable Parts: Parts can be swapped out from any rifle-type weapon of the ‘Enforcer’ line, making the EF-M401E Scattergun a highly dependable weapon.
  • Mechanical Design: Due to its pure, streamlined mechanical design, the EF-M401E rarely ever experiences complications or failures through use barring extreme physical damage to the weapon itself. This lack of electronic mechanisms render the weapon impervious to EMP or Ion damage.
  • Magnetic Rail Acceleration: The EF-M401E not only builds upon the already developed platform of the standard EF-400, but it integrates GDI’s expertise in rail acceleration technology. From enhanced stopping power with respect to penetrating light and medium-grade armor types, to massively increasing the range of its scattergun-basis of design, the ‘Rampage’ edition can easily be considered a masterstroke in both engineering and function. One special mode this model introduces applies primarily to scatter-based munitions used within this weapon, namely concerning the effect hyper-magnetization has upon said scatter rounds. Once the overwhelming force applied against the rounds has been stopped by a target, the intense magnetization applies a ‘pinning’ effect on said target. If the target is pinned against a metallic wall, the magnetized beads push toward the wall - preventing the victim from rushing out from the wall very easily. If they hit the floor instead, a similar effect applies wherein the target is unable to remove themselves from the floor without third party assistance, or until the magnetization fades over the course of an hour.

STRENGTHS

  • +Mechanical Design: (See special features)

  • +Magnetic Rail Acceleration: (See special features)

  • +Hole-Puncher: Whether firing scatter rounds in a tight circular pattern or larger single-rounds, the EF-M401E has class leading stopping power capable of stopping nearly anything cold in its tracks - with a gaping hole center mass no less.

WEAKNESSES

  • -Proprietary: While bearing some elements of its baseline predecessor (the EF-400), the EF-M401E contains several significant enhancements rendering the weapon far more proprietary. While some parts can be swapped in the event of battlefield damage (such as the shoulder stock, grips, exterior casing), other parts are either directly or indirectly affected by the rail infrastructure. While it vastly improves performance, it severely reduces the level of modularity or battlefield survivability as opposed to the more simplistic variants.

  • -Munition Dependant: Although this might be an obvious drawback, it should still be noted that this weapon’s effectiveness is entirely dependent on the quantity and type of ammunition one has access to. While standing well on its own compared to blaster-based competitors, one advantage such platforms have over the EF-M401E is that blaster technology is more efficient with its power cells to prevent ammunition from being a significant detriment.

DESCRIPTION
Serving as GDI’s answer to requests for a more advanced & specialized model to the EF-400, the ‘Rampage’ edition could easily be considered the gold standard in terms of scatter-based slugthrower technology. Utilizing GDI’s class-leading rail acceleration technology, the EF-M401E is capable of filling the role of more baseline semi-automatic rifles on the battlefield with its improvements in range and stopping power at such range. Whether utilizing the standard ‘scatter’ rounds as most slugthrowers, or actual slugs the size of a drink can, owners of the EF-M401E will note the ability to hit targets with greater effectiveness at greater ranges as compared to standard scatterguns, allowing it to be relevant in far greater tactical situations.

Of particular note is the weapon’s utilization of the aftereffects born from its magnetic rail acceleration process, allowing for hyper-magnetized beads to pin hapless targets against metallic surfaces - affording its wielder a level of non-lethal flexibility (should the appropriate round and setting be utilized) in high-stress situations.

Specially designed for the Mandalorian Enclave, prospective owners need only ask one question - “What are you waiting for, Vod?”
