STRENGTHS
  • Simple and reliable: it's just a tube with an electric trigger. One could drag the Inutilis through mud and snow, bash it against the side of a rock, even toss it into a fireplace, and it would still come out the other side working just as well as it did the day it left the war forges. This simplicity allows it to be manufactured on a vast scale.

  • Powerful: For such a small weapon it can carry a hefty punch, especially with its anti-tank warheads being possibly able to penetrate the side armors of even superheavies or badly degrade their shield from the concentrated hypersonic jet of molten steel.

  • Light and small: The Inutilis can easily be carried along by any rifleman using an optional leather strap without feeling any noticeable weight. Combined with its ease of manufacturing, this means that practically every infantry squad can carry up to a dozen of these at no cost giving them unparalleled options for firepower. Its small size also allows it to be hidden in bags and clothes, perfect for operations behind enemy lines.

  • Blackblast: due to a special vent installed at the exhaust there is little to no backblast for use, allowing the Inutilis to be used in indoor spaces.
WEAKNESSES
  • Short range: to get close to the enemy for effective use, requires the operator to be a daring one indeed. For certain targets surrounded by vast open space, this is practically suicide. Unless of course, you throw enough men at it.

  • Single-Shot: you get one shot and that's it.
DESCRIPTION

The Inutilis is an inexpensive, single-shot, recoilless rocket launcher. It requires only one operator and can easily be carried in the field. Its warhead uses a shaped charge that projects a hypersonic molten lance of metal that can punch through over a meter of unprotected durasteel. Multiple rounds may have to be used against shielded vehicles to overwhelm their shields. It is not a purely anti-tank weapon and has specialized warheads to be used against infantry and structures. Its thermobaric warhead is particularly vicious, creating a vacuum so great in enclosed spaces that a victim's lungs may be ripped out of their mouth.

Produced in the last days of the Unification Wars on Herodor, the Warmaster required cheap anti-tank weapons for his swelling ranks to oppose the heretic Warlord Gaur who threw waves of ramshackle armor at him. His suicidally fanatical troops used these weapons to great effect even at a horrific cost. Since then, every single Chaos Pact rifleman has carried one or two of these rocket launchers with him into battle, making any enemy armored vehicle that gets close pay a heavy tool indeed.

Nice sub. However I have concerns about this:
Powerful: For such a small weapon it can carry a hefty punch, especially with its anti-tank warheads being able to penetrate the side armors of even superheavies or badly degrade their shield from the concentrated hypersonic jet of molten steel.
I would like to ask you to reword it. Always the opponent decides how your attacks was succesful, so please reword it, like "may be able to penetrate" or similar. When you write about hits and damage, please always write them in conditional mode, since, as I mentioned, the opponent decides about this, not the sub or the attacker. We have to give them a chance to survive or defend themselves.
