OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • LIKON scalability: like many LIKON products, the core concepts of this product consist of basic principles in a simple package: the L.TCA2.1 can be configured for everything from small antipersonnel weapons, to large siege weaponry.
  • LIKON automation: this product can be operated manually, or be set to be controlled automatically due to its integrated L-FC1v Fire Control Unit.
STRENGTHS
  • + Cyber protection: the L.TCA2.1 features ion surge shielding, ionization buffers, and cyberfuses in order to ensure that its internal computer components can continue to function, even if attached weaponry is disabled, ionized, or overloaded.
  • + Automated or Assisted: the L.TCA2.1 utilizes an integrated L-FC1v Fire Control Unit, which allows the organic user to select two firing modes; automatic, or assisted. In automatic, the L-FC1v assumes direct control via the targeting computer of any installed weaponry (subject to L-FC1v limitations). In assisted mode, the L-FC1v instead compensates, shifts, and improves the organic user's aim in a manner similar to droid targeting systems, increasing the accuracy of an average gunner by a noticeably amount.
  • + Precision targeting: the L.TCA2.1 is designed to be paired with a wide selection of targeting arrays, but works best with the LIKON L-01x precision targeting laser; when paired, the L.TCA2.1 is exceptionally accurate and deadly (but subject to the limitations of its targeting laser).
WEAKNESSES
  • - Manual, or Auto: users must select either manual fire controls, or automatic. While automatic firing allows for extremely rapid and precise shots on part of the L-FC1v, it lacks creativity and intuition, and is a rather robotic (albeit competent) gunner. Manual controls allow for an organic gunner to take control, who, while precise thanks to aim assist (in addition to being adaptable and intuitive), is still much slower than their computer counterpart. Each setting has its own strengths and weaknesses - depending on the scenario these can be major weaknesses.
  • - Computer dependent: the targeting computer is highly dependent on its L-FC1v unit; should the unit be compromised, sliced, or otherwise disabled, the targeting computer's automated and assist functions can be entirely disabled. In such an event the targeting computer only has a standard backup targeting scanner that offers no advanced benefits beyond allowing installed weaponry to continue to function.
  • - Encased but not armored: ion shielded, housed in a shock dissipating polyplast housing with surge protecting cyberfuses, and with shatter-proof transparisteel screens, the L.TCA2.1 can withstand the rigors of war - but its light plasteel armor and duralloy casing is no match to a heavy blaster pistol bolt, let alone a laser cannon blast.
DESCRIPTION
Designed to bridge the gap between LIKON automation and organic user, the L.TCA2.1 Targeting Computer (auto/assist) is a rugged and multipurpose targeting computer intended for everything from small anti-personnel weaponry up to heavy ship mounted turbolasers. Possessing a durable plasteel shell and shatter/crack-proof transparisteel vidscreens with anti-glare coating, the L.TCA2.1 is equally home out in the mud and rain of the battlefield or nice and secure in a sterile gunnery bay. With universal ports, the L.TCA2.1 accepts most control yokes and fire controls, allowing the user to install mass-produced controls for their destroyers, or highly customized and fine-tuned bespoke controls for their tramp freighter.

The L.TCA2.1 offers automated fire control or aim assisted manual control through its integrated L-FC1v Fire Control Unit, both settings offering the precision that LIKON is known for. Combined with intuitive and detailed combat multiview displays offering image-rec functions and advanced display customization options, the L.TCA2.1 is ready to meet anything the Outer Rim dares to throw at you.

1. Removed a doubled "the" from the second description paragraph
2. De-capitalized the word "Ion" after a colon, as well as the word "this" after another colon.

No other changes and finished with edits. Thank you for indulging my OCD!
