THE FIRST GREAT HORDE
What is a Great Horde?
Great Hordes are a religious concept as old as Graug culture itself. It has been long fortold by the Priests that one day a Graug Warlord with the strength of the First Gods, who created the Graug, would rally the entire species under one banner and lead them on a Holy Crusade against "Enemies From the Sky". Though this may sound like a noble goal and a form of offensive defense for The Graug, the realities are much more horrifying.The closest translation for the word "Enemy" in Graugspeak is "Shara", a word that has grown to be synonymous with aliens. In practice, A Great Horde has no other purpose than the mindless slaughter of heretics and non-graug for the sake of pleasing the Blukgoth (Blood God) and spreading the yoke of Graug supremacy across the stars.
One will never find a Graug more crazed, bloodthirsty or warmongering as they will during a Great Horde. As a general commandment across all Great Hordes that spawn, the extinction of entire generations is expected as tribute to the Blukgoth. So engrained is this concept that Crusades of a Great Horde are known as "Mokum" in Graugspeak, a word translating closely to the basic word "genocide".
The First Great Horde
The First Great Horde is currently being consolidated by Darth Vulcanus. To Graug, this event signals the beginning of the "Morta Shaku" translating roughly into "The End Times". The Graug in their religion are a species destined to rule for eternity, so this phrase applies only to alien species and the Great Hordes are the devices of the Gods to end their civilizations. The First Great Horde will be the first time in Graug history that the entire Graug species is united under one banner. Billions of Graug from across all Graug colonies and Gratos to answer Vulcanus' call for blood.
