• ANs-9e Targeting Sensor Array - This array allows for rapid and accurate ascertaining of non-stealth craft and vehicles up to a considerable distance.

STRENGTHS

• While in atmosphere the SKA-A1 is capable of maneuvers that would be too dangerous for most budget atmospheric fighters due to the gravitational forces as well as the durability of the craft itself. The SKA-A1 has skimped on most of the high end parts in order to include a top of the line Interial Compensator and engineered specifically for high speed turns and other evasive maneuvers. Additionally, the Inertial Compensator in conjunction with the Astromech Droid assistance enables the SKA-A1 to be a forgiving craft, even for novice pilots.
• Two Particle Cannons is a lot of firepower, especially on a mobile platform. Particle Cannons enable the SKA-A1 to threaten soft targets and armored targets alike.
• ANs-9e Targeting Sensor Array - This array allows for rapid and accurate ascertaining of non-stealth craft and vehicles up to a considerable distance.

WEAKNESSES

• The SKA-A1 lacks any sort of ray or particle shielding and thus must rely on maneuvering and sheer hull strength to survive. While the Alusteel plating ensures that the SKA-A1 is not immediately destroyed from the first volley of standard weaponry, the second volley is more of a toss up. The third is a foregone conclusion.
• The SKA-A1 is fairly wide for a small craft and takes up more hangar space due to it. A squadron of these craft is three or less for hangar purposes.

DESCRIPTION

The SKA-A1 "Sketto Ambusher Airspeeder" was designed by Bral Metal & Engineering on request of Doroko Bral as a way to sell units to the mercenary, criminal, and third party organizations of the galaxy. The SKA-A1 is relatively cheap for a combat craft and operates in the role of air-to-ground support or ambush craft; a role that the Particle Cannons excel in. The low cost has been achieved by modifying outdated and obsolete technologies such as the AD-1S Modular Multi-Role Starfighter and ANs-9e Targeting Sensor Array in order to save on Research and Development manhours.
