Got linked to this via SJC discord, had no idea what I was going into and was pleasantly surprised. This is good chit. Probably the best short story I've seen posted as an article on Chaos so far. There was a clear scene and thoughts from the protagonist, and plenty of nice details. I realize this is more of a drabble than a full short story, so I can't rate it based on how well you told a story, but this is very good scene-setting and I wanted to read more when I got to the end. Nice job, fam.

Thank you for the feedback! I wrote it in one sitting and couldn't really find a reason to extend it at the time. This is basically a character introduction to set the tone for it and everything -- I'll definitely make more short stories in the future, but I'm thinking a few threads will be next.
