The heart beats again...
The Lothal Protectorate is the recently refounded government of Lothal, a planet which had once held autonomy but then suffered under Imperial occupation. In the dust of the Empire it is born again, built upon the industrial foundation of Krinemonen Hydraworks and the resurgence of a formerly retired Commander in Chief, Leonis Fynch, following the death of his son Solarus Fynch, former Commander in Chief and the founder of the briefly lived Tingel Arm Coalition. The beginning of Lothal's reconstruction has begun.

History of Lothal

Lothal is a planet with an expansive history where it was largely undisturbed. Aside from the establishment and subsiquent abandonment of Killik hives and the creation of a Jedi Temple, the distant past of Lothal is rather mysterious and undocumented. What follows, however, is not. Lothal has known great lengths of time under the thumb of those who have called themselves Galactic Empire. They were exploited for labor, resources, land, and other valuables under the thumb of this regime, one which left behind scars when they threw off their shackles roughly 2 to 3 years after the Battle of Yavin. What was left behind were a scarred people who saw their resource of Doonium turned into a planet-destroying superweapon, a great evil asisted by their own hands. This feeling of resentment would fester for hundreds of years, not yet culminating in action until roughly 744 ABY...

The Lothal Protectorate was born in response to a destabilized state left behind from the collapse of the Galactic Empire. It would struggle to truly find it's footing, however, until a brand new Empire forced their hand. In roughly 880 ABY, the New Imperial Order looked to siphon the resources their predicesors had: Doonium. The Galactic Alliance of the Core was quick to step in and defend them, but the people of Lothal were left distraught at their sudden loss of control. Their ellected leader, then Commander in Chief Solarus Fynch Fynch , pushed forward acts that ramped up their militarization to previously unseen degrees. They held a standing fleet, a local militia called the Riflemen, and began opening up diplomatic relations with the Core and highly regulating their trade. This new found security would carry them through the Second Great Hyperspace War safely, only for everything to be crushed in 900 ABY.

The Empire of the Lost would strike to make claim for the planet's resources. This was a new regime born from the ashes of the New Imperial Order, one which had previously agreed to respect Lothal's independance but swiftly broke that promise. The fledgling Lothal Protectorate was crushed, and Solarus Fynch went into exile. In a matter of time, however, Fynch returned at the head of a military alliance called the Tingel Arm Coalition and swiftly made for Lothal. The insuing Invasion saw Lothal rise up to rebel against it's oppressors and saw a great deal of damage done, but ultimately with no success. Maldra IV and the death of Solarus Fynch would see the Tingel Arm Coalition meet it's end. The Empire of the Lost would later lose it's territory and see the entire Rim War saga brought to an end.

Now, in 902 ABY, Lothal seeks to rebuild. They've elected Leonis Fynch, nicknamed Old Man Leonis Old Man Leonis , to lead them, the father of Solarus Fynch and a previous Commander in Chief, hoping his experience will offer stability. Lothal has officially partnered with Krinemonen Hydraworks for the means of the redevelopment of their industry. The B.L.I.S.S. St. Maldra, a massive space station intended to be used as a mobile settlement, has been brought to Lothal and put in place as the temporary seat of power while Capital City is reconstructed. The Lothal Jedi Temple would also begin to be redeveloped by allies in the Jedi Order. Lothal seeks to modernize their military, build up their cities to better support their people, and avoid becoming imperial subjects ever again.

Only time will tell of they shall succeed or be crushed once more....
