Boost “Son, your ego is writing cheques…” ~STILL OPEN~

(OOC: Open for anyone to come after me. This'll be fun.)

Kalic took a breath as he grabbed the flight stick and pulling Starcrest around and began to follow Burch and Bishop as he looked around.

"Jee lock turret forward. I want everything I can get just in ca.... Echuta...." He began taking a close look at all the data coming in, and was looking around, trying to focus on where the signals were. It wasn't the clearest look he could get right now, but the shapes of the vessels were somewhat clear to him. He tapped the comms, looking around.

"Boss... I could be wrong but those bandits look like Mandalorian designs. Can't tell more than that, but they seem.... not matching? Not sure what it is. Gut feeling."

"Kalic, there are bogeys like fireflies out there. At least compared to what we have."

"I know, I know. Be ready ok. If I'm right, we're in for a fight, and basically have to hope they're green."

"It's not the box." Kalic chuckled and pat the console.

"That's why I've only talked about the pilots."

Keeping an eye on the knights under his command and making sure that the ones on patrol where still alive Gabriel received a call.

"Creed, this is Davaab lead, Strill Securities. This is your show, how do you want to do this?"

Thinking for a moment he replied.

"I have an idea, how do you and yours feel about being the hammer while me and my Knights are the anvil? The plan is to recall my Knights and set them up in the Phalanx Maneuver outside the vault door the enemy has to come down a roughly 40 meter long corridor to get to the vault itself. I'd like for you lot to do hit and run tactics and try and herd them to us where we shall crush them from all sides. I personally will start concentrating on sapping their will to fight with the use of Force horror it may not reach all of the facility but it should reach at least half. Any questions?

Ira and by extension Bellum Canis hated being sidelined due to the asteroid field but he knew deep down it was the best decision at the end of the day and would follow Grand Shepherd Burtch Grand Shepherd Burtch orders to the best of his ability. Ira was seriously considering just blowing his was through the asteroid field with the broadsides when a bridge officer spoke up with urgency.

"Sir, sensor's have just picked up at least one ship exiting hyperspace before losing it"

"Thank you Lieutenant" Ira replied. There was only a couple of reasons as to why the enemy ship vanished from sensors first option being they had some sort of sensor jamming kit and the second being they were mad enough to brave the asteroid field. With a thought Ira brought the massive ship to the "safe" channel and parked in front order to act as one hell of a threat and hopefully discourage any new comers, with another thought Ira sent a message out into the void on all open channels as a warning.

"To the fools that have entered the asteroid field you will find nothing and death shall be your only reward"

"To the fools that have entered the asteroid field you will find nothing and death shall be your only reward"
"Oh, please don't tease me," Corbin said to nobody. "You want us to stay out of the asteroid field? That's a negative, Ghost Rider."
It was obvious the opponents knew someone was out there, even if they couldn't tell where their ships were. But they wouldn't know how many. With his Werlaara Stealth Suite and Force Cloak active, there was no conceivable way he'd be detected. Not until it was too late. He could lay an ambush.
<Come in Viper, this is Goose. I'm going to lay in wait in the Danger Zone. I'll wait for you guys to make your move. If anyone comes after you, I can surprise them, maybe get one or two off you, if need be. Then after that, well, we fly by the seat of our pants, totally unpredictable. Keep them guessing. There are at least a couple of Force users among them, so be wary of that.>
He guided his craft into the asteroid field, settling it up against one of the asteroids, being careful not to budge the asteroid in any direction. Now to wait.

Ether Squadron? He pushed the callsign out of his mind as he goosed the ship around to meet the chiss commander's direction. His StarSight Sensor Array hadn't really been designed for surveying, but it packed enough processing power that he was able to start filtering through some of the denser asteroids within the belt to actually detect several of the vessels that were broadcasting, including at least one which didn't appear to be part of the friendly forces.

The man frowned. Hard to believe their appearance is merely coincidence in a place not so well travelled as this. He'd have to try and get more information out of the friendly vessels transmitted to his ship for more analysis. But just based on a hunch, he toggled his laser cannons to super-charged mode and set his autocannons to long-range mode - such settings would allow him to actually hit targets at longer ranges than most small craft, if it came down to a fight. That was something he wasn't about to start, though he'd have little compunction about coming to the aid on a friend, even if that meant harming an enemy.

Ship Mission Loadout

Viken Dobson

Head Engineer of Dar'manda Industries
Objective: 1

Viken shook his head a little as he heard Grand Shepherd Burtch Grand Shepherd Burtch 's request. Did he think that building an experimental Etheric Sonar Array was just a walk in the park ? Especially while he was flying around in a ship which wasn't outfitted with a lab, or more specifically, wasn't even his lab? And the man wanted an estimated time of completion? Clearly the Chiss wasn't a man of science or an engineer.

He flicked his commlink to pair up with Burtch's frequency.
~I'll do the best that I can given the circumstances, but that's all that I can promise you. This ship is not my lab and this sonar array isn't going to be completed with paperclips and bubble gum. Just....I'll let you know when it's ready for the first test.~

The added pressure of possible enemy forces somewhere nearby wasn't helping. Viken did his best to tune all of that out as he opened up a crate, carefully took out the components to his prototype and set them on top of another crate to be used as a make-shift table. Then he brought out his tools and got to work. Hopefully the flight of the ship remained steady. The last thing that he needed was to lose precious pieces in the cargohold.

"Roger that."

Bishop steered Ironheart to a different course. He turned his head, looking to see if Kalic Daws Kalic Daws was following suit. But he also looked to observe Grand Shepherd Burtch Grand Shepherd Burtch 's squadron as they broke off from the group.

~If the anomalies are unnatural, then they will move in an unnatural way, wouldn't they Bishop?~

Ironheart's voice in his head brought Bishop's attention forward. "That's good thinking. We've got a lot of rock out there to choose from. Let's pick a few targets."

His guns were warmed up and within seconds bolts of green shot out towards a few of the smaller asteroids, not intending to blow them up, but to alter their course towards the anomalies that had been detected. Bishop then clicked his comms to the squadron's frequency. "Kalic, this is Bishop. Follow my lead and open fire on the asteroids. Send them towards the detected anomalies. If they are cloaked ships, they'll change course or let the asteroids hit their shields. Understood?"

Piloting: Marzanna
Accompanied by: 2x AM-S02 Pegasus Interceptors 1x Solus Artillery Cruiser

Untitled184-20220731185704.png
Mairéad continued flying her ship towards the asteroid field. She had not been engaged yet but knew it was coming. Over the past year she had trained as a pilot with the House Solus fighter Corp, she was a decent pilot but had so many different things to learn she couldn't perfect everything straight away. She looked next to her at her compainion Marcella Fiora Marcella Fiora and smiled as the woman poured red wine from a stoppered decanter into a glass. She was here for the adventure, but also most likely wanted to get her hands on a few tons of beskar. "You be careful with that, I'm switching to manual control, it might get a little bumpy." she smirked to her friend before turning her attention to the incoming message. The warning from Leenic Ellsil Leenic Ellsil came through loud and clead so she quickly responded.

20221015-135429.gif

"This is Mairéad of House Solus aboard Marzanna please hold your fire, I am here for the same reason you are." maybe not to return the metal to the Enclave, but it belonged in mandalorian hands, they could work put the details later. "I believe my Ba'vodu Tan'yill Vizsla Tan'yill Vizsla is out there with you." Mairéad made a hand signal that Marcella would understand as 'aunt' as she used the mandalorian word to adress the sister of Stardust."Send her my regards"

She smiled in friendship at these new potential allies but could only give them time for a short reply before another she had other things to deal with. The Ira Sarrin Ira Sarrin was now approaching the Solus artillery cruiser trying to block its path to the asteroid field.

The cruiser powered up its shields and its weapons, it was a mandalorian warship, the fact that the opposing ship was four times its size would not make it's captain shy away from a fight. Mairéad was in charge of this mission, so she would open an channel to the opposing warship.

<<Hostile warship, please stand down, the Dragon's Breath is under orders not to open fire unless fired upon, but she will act to defend herself. I do not wish for unecessary bloodshed." The offensive posture of her ship wouldn't help matters but she hoped the captain she was speaking to would believe her.

She looked over at Marcella after ending the communication, "I hope there is enough wine for two there." she grinned as she put her ship on final approach for the asteroids. She would plot her path towards the other Mandalorians.

Leenic sat by idly as he waited for a response, nervously eyeing up the massive cruiser in front of him as he silently hoped that the reply would be a friendly one. As much as he loved beating the odds, he felt like it would just be a tad bit difficult to deal with two capital ships in one operation with a handful of fighters and a corvette.

Then Mairéad Solus Mairéad Solus 's voice came over the comms system with an affirmative, letting him lean back in his chair a bit in relief. "Glad to have you with us, Vod, good hunting out there." Came his reply as he pivoted his ship, pointing the nose directly into the asteroid field. "Just don't get yourself killed out there and we may very well have a chance against these guys."

Then he saw the asteroids being knocked around, watching exactly where they were heading to determine what the point of that maneuver was. "All callsigns, this is Dragon actual. I think they see me, or at least this cruiser, and are trying to get the rest of you to bug out so that they can see where you are." He said, flicking a few switches as he glanced back into the rear of the ship. "I'll try to draw their attention to me, see if I can't open up a corridor for the rest of you to slip past undetected."

Looking up at Starhopper, the Mandalorian pointed his thumb into the hold of the ship. "How much of that can we jettison into space?" He said, referencing the various boxes lying about in the back.

"All of it sir, it's just what's left of your old living quarters."

"Great, get ready to throw it out when I tell you." Came Leenic's reply as he took the yolk of the ship, setting the throttle to maximum and blazing a trail past the first few asteroids. Once he was as close as he felt he could get, he quickly cut the engines and rotated the ship 90 degrees, throwing on both his afterburners and throttling to the maximum as his U-Wing shot out from behind the space rock.

"C'mon," He growled, eyeing his radar to see if any of the hostiles were moving. "Take the bait ya dumb space jockeys."

"Solus...?" Aloy would tilt her head while listening in to the squadron's frequency, completely ignoring the Bellum Canis' bravado.

With a pleased chuckle, she boots up the holo-communicator and her own outgoing audio frequency with the flip of a few switches.
The shadowy figure ore Aloy Vizsla's beskar'gam, identifiable only by the faded handprint and fang-like markings on her helmet, peered out from under her cloak at Mairéad Solus Mairéad Solus ...

<<This is Aloy of House Vizsla...>> Yes, she would continue to refer to her house by it's proper title. No matter what Shai Maji Shai Maji or any other glorified mercenaries would say.
<<I don't usually break OPSEC like this, But you've already addressed my lovely wife by name it seems>>

Though her voice was rough, there was no true mocking to be found in her tone. Instead, only a playful remark to remind the younger Solus how Vizsla operates.

<<Regardless of clan, My personal alliance to your house is still strong as ever. I am honored to fight beside my wife's people again. Be warned that some of our IIF-transponders are disabled for a subtle approach. Viper squadron is already entering the asteroid field>>

<<Vode an!>>

Then she swapped to Viper Team's channel as the hologram ended, rolling her shoulder in relief at their reinforcements.
<<Sabre-actual to all callsigns; The cruiser and it's compliment are now designated friendlies. Repeat; new arrivals designated friendly>>

<<Viper-1, Continue on approach and be ready. These idiots are blasting asteroids, so prepare to maneuver>>

<<Dragon, update SITREP, how copy?>>

The Sabre-1 and it's Fangfighter escort now enter the asteroid field a safe distance from the larger capital ships, snaking their way around asteroids as carefully as can be.

<What the enemy doesn't know is your limit,> Corbin replied. None of the fired blasts had even come close to the asteroid he was hiding on. Not that it really would have mattered. He kind of wished those shots had been near him. It would've been exciting! But for now, he was still waiting. "Waiting for just the right moment, that never comes." He said that, but he knew it would come. He was simply getting a little excited. Nobody would be able to tell by looking at him. He was outwardly calm and still. Inside, he felt the raging power of the Force, the Manda, and the Joy and Excitement it brought. He was a raging tempest in a beskar jar, and nothing could dampen his spirits when he was in this moment. The Manda fed him positivity, and he thrived on it. He was tempted to cut his stealth, broadcast to all channels, and jump out screaming, "See me now?" and challenging them all with a "Show me what you're made of." But he wasn't here alone. He was part of a team, and he had promised to do his part. So, he would wait.

Mk IV Fang-class Starfighter

Tayl listened in carefully as Leenic Ellsil Leenic Ellsil conversed with the new arrivals, followed by signals from both Mairéad Solus Mairéad Solus and one of her mothers, Aloy Vizsla Aloy Vizsla . For the first time since coming back to Kestri, she didn't feel immediate hostility from the moment her family encountered another Mandalorian. It was... a much needed change of pace.
<<Viper-1, Continue on approach and be ready. These idiots are blasting asteroids, so prepare to maneuver>>

<<Viper copies...>> Didn't they know those asteroids might hit their own ships too? crazy bastards... but judging by the Bellum Canis( Ira Sarrin Ira Sarrin ) , Crazy seemed on brand.

<<Viper actual; All fighters, engage jammers and switch to assault shields. Aruetyc know we're here>>

She said to Viper Team, powering her Sensor & Targeting jammers while also shifting some power to her double-forward shields in preparation for first contact. This had the added benefit of the Mk IV's particle and ray shielding to disperse smaller rogue asteroids.

Carefully, she and Viper team flew in a wedge formation ahead of Aloy Vizsla Aloy Vizsla 's stealthed patrol craft, carefully weaving through the asteroid field in the direction of the Naikoma facility. To this group, the beskar was their primary target. if they could get close with minimal combat, all the better. It'd save munitions for defending the real prize once they had it.

But that didn't mean Tayl wasn't preparing to be intercepted all the same.

<Come in Viper, this is Goose. I'm going to lay in wait in the Danger Zone.
<<Solid copy, Goose. Viper's got you in the pipe, five by five>>

<<Viper-actual to all units; Convoy's coming up on portside. ETA, 5 Mikes>>

And yet she sounded calm as ever. Brute forced into a cybernetic zen...

Spotting the cruiser, Ira made to intercept paying little to no heed of anything going on around Bellum Canis. Seeing the cruiser powering up their shields the Bellum Canis raised it's own shields and powered up its guns deciding to give a salute of sorts Ira fired the two L91 long-range quadruple barbette at the cruiser, in all honestly Ira was not expecting to hit the ship as Bellum Canis was build to be a close range fighter

"All squadrons prepare for launch on my orders" Ira ordered "I want that ship mostly intact"

And with those shots fired the bridge along with the rest of the ship became a flurry of actively.

"Sabre-1 to all callsigns; " She began over the comms, Voice as calm and collected as the old veterans here would have remembered during the days of the Nite Owls.

"You know the drill, but in case some of you missed it during the flight- not to point fingers buuut- I'll say again; "

"You ladies are flying escort. Get me to the facility in one piece so I can drop my

on their beskar storage. Get me inside, and the beacons will transmit the exact coordinates to The Recluse. Once it has them, We can use the Micro-jump drive to Teleport it right above their storage. Then we blow the roof out and suck up the Beskar with our tractor beams..."

She smirked proudly behind her visor. It was a wild plan but it but just might work.

"Then we'll just hyperspace the fuck outta there and return that Beskar to the Mando'ad. This is the way"

<''Solid copy, Sabre-1. Flying in escort.''> Tan'yill replied over the comms and, along with her daughter piloting the same type and model of fighter, brought the Mk IV Fang-class starfighter into position close to Sabre-1. It gave warmth and comfort to the otherwise cold and insensitive rutian that her family were together again. And not just together, but about to kick some Dar'manda shebs again, with visions and anticipations of the future pushing them to their best.

<''Mairéad?! Dank farrik! You got that crazy green schutta on board? Tell her we're going to shot thiaar like there's no tomorrow when we're done here! I'm glad to hear your voice, Mairéad!''> Tan'yill added with a chuckle of surprise and joy, remembering the time when she and Stardust Solus Skirae Stardust Solus Skirae had a little sisterly brawl on Roon, the one you have to straight things out after so long time apart. One that Tan had been about to lose, but that she would hardly admit.

With Leenic acting as a decoy, and Corbin hiding and waiting for the right moment to reveal himself, the Vizsla strike force entered the asteroid field, still under the protection of their cloaking devices. If their estimates of enemy forces and their battle readiness was just about right, the chance of success would be high enough not to be boring.

Marcy' was there for emotional support~ and an excuse to get out of the office for a while. Quite often she'd find time out of her day job to squeeze in time with Mai', and this was ideal. She trusted her enough to not feel like she was in too much danger; enough to be sipping on a glass of fine cabernet sauvignon while listening to a track of Neesa Loroka through the sound system of the luxury shuttle, Marzanna.

"
Don't worry about me, love!" she retorted to her companion in the pilot seat~ it was unusual to see Mai' in her armour instead of a more.. refined wardrobe, yet that was probably a good thing. With the ship rumbling slightly with a small degree of turbulence, Marcy' leant into the table to pick up a cigarra from her tin, next to her loaded blaster pistol which she kept nearby just in case.

Lighting her cigarra with her glass still in-hand, she smirked back at Mai', "
there's more than enough for the both of us, don't you worry!" Taking a deep puff of her cigarra as the shuttle continued to shake slightly, she figured she'd just leave Mai' to her own devices in the hopes of eventually swiping a miniscule amount of beskar for her display back home. She wasn't about to get in the way of a mob of angry Mandalorians.

Kalic looked over at where Ironheart was, a bit slack jawed as he quickly hit the comms.

"Are you sure about this? Hit one or two wrong and we may as well kiss out butts goodbye? But if an order's an order." Kalic would open a few vollies before taking notice of the Mandalorian vessels. If he had eyes they'd be wide right now as he quickly turned the Y-Wng, switching the engines out of agility mode.

"I see bogies headed for the convoy! Turning to engage." And with that the Starcrest whipped around and Kalic began to notice one thing.... He couldn't see the ships clearly through scanners.

"You're gonna have to trust me, ok?"

"Right."

"Acknowledged, we're moving," replied Aenarr as he quickly switched frequencies. "Alor'ad Mereel, check your comms interface, there should be an option to auto-transmit sensor updates. No need to take your eyes off the controls more than once. Manda's composite sensor output should keep our signature tracked even with all this background osik." The latter part of that sentence was for Captain Mereel. The others had been flying with this tech for long enough to know that the Manda's ability to consolidate sensor input into a composite image made flying without it feel almost like flying blind.

Aenarr diverted power to his fighter's maneuvering array and SLAM systems, his fighter's turret systems and the assault-grade launchers shut down as the fighter shifted power as directed. A glance at his display told him what he already knew; the others were doing the same thing. The massive fighters were now just as nimble as as any light fighter, but in these asteroids, size still very much mattered. At the speeds they'd be moving at, their augmented reflexes were more just nice to have, they were almost necessary.

Ducking and weaving through the asteroid field, the four silent predators stalked their prey through the void. Aenarr had tested his fighter in a field like this, and this fighter had been made to fight odds like this. Few moments save for combat demonstrated the intricacies of the relationship between fighter and craft than this. There was comfort in doing it again before the fighting started, a means to ease their minds for the fast paced death defying flying that was to come.

It wasn't long before they'd expertly covered the gap, enough so that the signatures had resolved themselves on his display as incoming sub-capital craft without any friendly IFFs that his ship recognized. The four fighters eased off the SLAM, with half power to the maneuvering array. Speed wasn't paramount any longer, but they'd still need every inch of maneuvering that they could muster, and their Tra'galaars would be all too happy to oblige.

Sensor signatures resolved themselves on his targeting display as the sensor data from the entire suite worked to identify the craft present. CGT data was cross-referenced with mass-detector data and life sign data from the Gar Strill, which was still tracking the continued use of a force power, and was still confused about what sort of force user was doing it.

The first fighters that resolved were the Kyr'tsad manufactured Fang fighters. In earlier days, anyone di'kutla or dini'la enough to fly a ship like that without being associated to Kyr'tsad was definitely worth putting out of their misery. In these days, he'd seen enough people who'd been desperate enough to use one who didn't deserve to die for it.

The patrol ship's cloaking device might've kept it safe from detection against many systems, but with the Gar Strill picking up it's pilot's life signs, as well as the mass-detector and crystal grav-field trap picking up the mass and gravitic signatures that the craft was making no attempt to mask. No way to tell what manner of make the ship was, but Tra'ibahikan, Alor'ad Mereel and now the others would know it was there. Intercepting it was still definitely going to take some work.

He checked the link between his and Alor'ad Mereel's fighter, and satisfied that she could pass the data on, raised the rest of his squadron, "Maintain locks, I'm just going to try something."

"Somehow, I don't think they'll care. They know what they're here to do, they're not going to care if they have to shoot through us. Are you...hesitating?" asked Saviin, the only one among them who was ever able to set him straight when he was about to do something stupid. She was his 2IC for a reason, but Aenarr didn't need setting straight, not this time. This time he was sure that he wanted to try, he had to try.

"I'm not. If they're Kyr'tsad, then to haran with them, But if they're not..then I at least want to have tried," replied Aenarr. Sighing, having a feeling that this was going to be futile, he sent a quick coded burst transmission over laser comms to the craft in his sights in dadita, "Haven't enough Mando'ade died? There are easier ways to get beskar. Turn around, last chance."

Aenarr had the targeting system compute a solution for the Fang Fighters with his cluster missiles and guns. Gimballed accelerator cannons on all four fighters switched to ion energy torpedo sheathed high explosive incendiary armor piercing rounds. The four pilots waited as adrenaline leaked into their systems to see these intruders would heed the warning.

Loadout:

One of their opponents [ Leenic Ellsil Leenic Ellsil ] addressed the defending force, asking for identification. A bold move, and ... honorable. A small chance for those involved to walk away, or for those here to rethink firing on kin. Jhira could only hope the Mando'ad would survive the making himself a target; that sort of honor and courage was badly needed by all factions of her people. It surprised her, when the Grand Admiral -- ahh, no, he was not a purple person anymore. Shephard? Well, when Loreena's friend did not choose to reply to the hail.

Though of course Aenarr Kyrr did; it was the right thing to do. Too short, too brief in this situation to actually allow any Mando who'd given their word to walk away, but enough to make room to not be enemies, later. It offered the hope that she'd buy pilot of the U-wing gunship a drink someday, rather than shoot him. The was enough to angle her ship not towards him, but behind him, in some vague notion of retrieving his lifepod if his ship got shattered by the apparently overwhelming force collapsing on him. It wasn't that she didn't understand that which drove them here; but the Mando'ade had to find a better way to exist in a galaxy that literally showed Beskar everywhere, in every faction, other than going to war with everyone. That never ended well, and she and Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun had worked too bloody hard to stand aside and watch Mandalore get destroyed all over again.

A deadly, sudden jag in adrenaline hit her as one of the
asteroids she was dodging between exploded, targeted by the convoy escort. The cybernetic interface snapped into full power, the whole ship wrapped around her like an extension of her own Beskar'gam. she didn't fire a truster, she merely leaned and the whole ship responded, spinning and darting between the debris of the nearest asteroid, the space dust turned into a rainbow as it disintegrate along her shields. Sure, great strategy -- disrupt the asteroids to drive your opponents out -- but a little hard on your own stealthed fighters.

Unless they were mando'ade.

Laughter escaped and she pulled the ship into a graceful pirouette, a mere thought throwing more power to maneuverability and shields, dodging and spinning, tempting death, aware her craft was not truly stealthed, not by modern standards, but only offering a small radar profile. One that would likely light up, with full power to shields. She flipped her ship upside down, angling through the obstacle course, somehow "below" and on wrong side of the action. Mid maneuver, Aenarr Kyrr Aenarr Kyrr 's instructions reached her.

Of course.

Trust Shuklaar Kyrdol Shuklaar Kyrdol to have thought of this, and made it easy. So easy; an arcing dive, a focusing of her eyes on the necessary controls, then allowing her vision to be taken over by the fighter once more. That moment of vulnerability, of pure faith, that nothing would have slipped into her path during her moment of distraction.

The breathless tension, as the aggressor force began to populate her HUD, and her private hope that none of them had bracketed her.

Mairéad hid her mild embarrassment as Aloy Vizsla Aloy Vizsla
mentioned operational security. In her defence she wasn't intimately familiar with the Vizsla operations, but she would make a note for the future. Luckily it was a secure channel so the harm was minimal, she supposed the jab would have been sharper had those two factors not played in her favour.

<''Mairéad?! Dank farrik! You got that crazy green schutta on board? Tell her we're going to shot thiaar like there's no tomorrow when we're done here! I'm glad to hear your voice, Mairéad!''>

She laughed <She is not aboard, but thiaar sounds good once we have the beskar secured.> she smiled and raised her eyebrows at Marcella Fiora Marcella Fiora curious if she was interested doung shots with a bunch of mandalorians. She enjoyed having her here, even if it was a very strange situation to be flying into combat with the woman enjoying a glass of wine and fine music next to her.

Her ship plunged into the asteroid field and she noted that her automated systems were alread pinging small rocks away from her ship, debris from the detonations the defenders had no doubt caused. Her wingmen flew in loose formation behind her as she attempted to penetrate the lines alongside the Vizslas. She no longer had visual on the Dragon's Breath and said a quiet prayer under her breath that thearger vessel would not engage.

Her prayer early went unanswered as the ship of Ira Sarrin Ira Sarrin opened fire at maximum range with its heavy turbo lasers. The shields rippled as a couple of shots scored long range hits. The ship and its crew were lucky that their opponent was not built for long range, the mandalorian vessel though was built for just this sort of engagement. Its primary weapons was long range a capital killer. The vessel began with an opening salvo of blackout cannons, these would do little damage at this range but would hopefully begin to tax the enemy shields. The primary weapon, running half the length of the cruiser a Eyayah Hyper-particle cannon was next to speak though and its fast moving high volatile bolts shot through space at their large target. The hyper-particle could be dampened by both ray and particle shields. But it's dual explosive nature usually helped it get at least some damage through, should it hit.

The cruiser then began to manauver whilst it recharged its primary weapon, trying to agoid return fire but also keep the distance between the two where it had the advantage.

Rustbuckets will never go out of style.

Leenic's eyes were glued to the scanners as he waited to see any signs of approaching starfighters appear, frowning slightly under his helmet as he maneuvered out of the way of some wayward debris. "Karabast." He muttered, looking through the cockpit into the asteroid field. "Doesn't look like anyone's biting."

"We do have an approximation of their location from those blaster shots they've been slinging." Starhopper chimed in, gesturing a little bit above them. "Best bet could be a straight-up rush, give 'em a bit of a shake and encourage them to focus on us."

Leenic smiled under his helmet, pressing a few buttons and bringing the ship's guns online. "This is why I bring you along!" He said, slapping the robot's shoulder as he pulled past a small cluster of meteorites, throwing the throttle all the way to flank speed and engaging the afterburners at full.

"Let's turn and burn this queen, Star!" He cheered, his body being forced back into the chair as the G-Forces caught up to him in the maneuver. After a second of burning engines, the U-Wing rocketed forward, its nose pointed straight at the edge of the asteroid field closest to the hostile squadron. "Let's see if this is enough show for them!"
