3k+ posts from the Jedi Brat Braze

Hey everyone!

After 3k posts I'm looking for some feedback and critique on Braze. I want to know what others think. I know a lot of you have interacted with him or followed his arcs, and your insights would be invaluable.

Some things to think about:
  • What stands out to you about Braze?
  • Are there areas where his development feels lacking or could be improved?
  • How do his relationships and interactions with other characters feel?
  • Are his motivations and personality coming through clearly?

Feel free to be as honest as you like. I'm open to hearing both what works and what doesn't. I'm excited to see your thoughts on the green-eyed menace.

Question as someone who has taken at least one kid character up to adulthood : maturity. What's the plan?

Sure, the bratty young teenager works now. Such a thing won't work at say, sixteen or eighteen. Is there a larger arc in the future that will soften the bratty edges and turn Braze more mature? Something that drives him from childhood to adulthood?

As Braze matures into his 15th year, the weight of recent experiences begins to shape his evolving personality. The trials he has faced—both in battle and within himself—have tempered his once impulsive nature. This new chapter marks a shift toward a more introspective, compassionate version of himself. Kindness, which once felt like a distant ideal, now becomes a guiding principle. Yet, this kindness is not born of naivety but of a deeper, more melancholic understanding of the world’s harshness.

This melancholy is not a surrender to despair but rather a recognition of the world’s imperfections. Braze’s experiences have given him a sobering clarity. He now sees how cruelty and suffering mark the lives of those around him, and this realization drives him to be better.

I have had a couple of characters interact with him. With Ra, he didn't really impress her, but that's not easy, and she might not remember him. This isn't good or bad; it just is. It's like he's too young for her to pay attention to.
Pitie, though, Braze is a shining star in her dark galaxy. She trusts him, and as long as he doesn't do anything to prove her faith wrongly placed, she'll be like a dog guarding him.
One of my characters is going through a growing phase. At 18, she's now a cynical teen irritated at the Jedi.
Watching Braze grow out of the impulsiveness is great and bringing in a mellower teen is refreshing.
