Sith Shadow of Kor’ethyr
NAME: A'Mia Madrona
FACTION: Sith Order
RANK: Acolyte
SPECIES: Neti- sentient botanical- shapeshifter
The following descriptions are for A'Mia's appearance when she is assuming her most humanoid form:
AGE: Given her species, it would be difficult for most non-botanical life forms to have a true sense of her age. From human standards, she often appears perhaps 25 and her peppy aura might make her seem a bit younger than that. Her true age is a mystery to all but a few.
SEX: Female
HEIGHT: 6 feet tall with a willowy build, generally considered small for her species
WEIGHT: 240 lbs, given that her flesh is tree-like she weighs a bit more than her build might otherwise indicate
EYES: Devoid of pupils, they are large almond shaped blue-green pools of vibrant energy
HAIR: Light green ropey vines which are most often braided in one long braid atop her head
SKIN: Deep red-brown skin that has the texture and toughness of manzanita tree bark.
FORCE SENSITIVE: Very sensitive, A'Mia can see the way energy flows through herself and those around her. She has recently started incorporating this ability to perceive Shatterpoints in combat.
Strengths:
+Field Medic- trained in herbal and traditional medicines, A'Mia is a useful ally in situations one might be risking injury, like combat or navigating dangerous environments.
+Resilience of the Oak- due to her lineage, she has highly regenerative properties and natural armor with bark like skin. She can recover from even grievous injuries such as a severed limb, and can continue fighting well past the point another might drop.
+Bright Focus- she is an incredibly devoted student of whatever it is that has captured her interest, this also makes her dogged on missions.
Weaknesses:
-Narrow Force Use- despite the incredible ability to see and utilize shatterpoints, A'Mia is still very new to the use of the Force and her scope of practice is very narrow.
-Born Broken- A'Mia does not experience emotion and empathy in the same way that most sentient life does. She has traits of psychopathy which render her an unpredictable ally and uncanny, ruthless enemy.
Neutral:
~Heretic~ no one and nothing has ever inspired a sense of faith in A'Mia, as she is not dogmatic, nor does she believe in anything with any kind of zealotry. She is curious and intense but non-spiritual and largely immune to most ideologies
~Photosynthesis~ Neti do not require food and have a greatly reduced need for water as long as they have regular access to broad spectrum sunlight.
Faceclaim:
Most common skin tone/ color palette is that of the manzanita tree
Backstory:
A'Mia's long, strange journey began in earnest when her nomadic family troupe exiled her as a sapling. They had sensed a growing darkness in her, one that she was ill equipped to hide at the tender age of 9. Though their people were scarce, their children rare and extraordinarily cherished, A'Mia was too uncanny, too dangerous. So the tribe left her in a recently war torn sector, presumably hoping she would be taken in as other orphans often were to be cared for by well meaning souls, or not. Regardless, they rid themselves of her haunting presence, and only her mother was truly remorseful about the loss.
Devotees of the Book of Moross were the kind souls in question, specifically it was a group of monks and nuns devoted to Inari the Reviver that took in the wayward Neti child to rear amongst a few other hapless children displaced by errecent conflict in the area. At first they considered A'Mia a gift of the Reviver. Her unique regenerative abilities and the keen interest with which she took to the art of healing were clearly small signs from their god that they were walking a virtuous path.
It was from the nuns and monks that she learned herbalistic practices, and where she started to build her knowledge of anatomy of all manner of species. In the near decade she spent with the pious followers of Moross, she learned a great deal about masking whatever first troubled her family enough to abandon her. Some of the other children occasionally had fearful comments to their caregivers about A'Mia, and there were a handful of strange happenings around the abbey during her time there, but overall A'Mia was considered an excellent if sometimes strangely intense acolyte of their order.
Sadly, the Moross way of life had been fading for some time and though attempts at revival were being made, its practices still steadily waned throughout the galaxy. The devotees of the abbey were by and large older if not downright venerable, and most of the orphans they took in through the years struck out on their own path rather than remaining. Though A'Mia was an excellent student, she was not what could be considered a faithful follower by any stretch of the imagination. So as she neared her 17th year, talk of setting her up for a better life with new opportunities began.
With her naive but enthusiastic approval, A'Mia was betrothed to a Zelosian lesser nobleman with some sympathetic and philanthropic ties to the abbey. She bade her caregivers farewell without tears or really any sense of regret for going, rather she was intrigued by the new adventure she was embarking upon. Tragically, a mysterious illness swept through the village of her new home just 2 short years after she settled there. The plague ultimately claimed the life of her dear husband, Jerome.
In her grief, after her husband was laid to rest and she'd worn the mourning veil for 30 days, she absconded from her life as a young widow in order to forge a new path. It was on this road she met a troupe of entertainers and sell-swords. She brought with her the helpful herbalism and healing skills of her youth, while they provided her an opportunity to learn yet more skills. It was among their rank that she learned the art of Echani Firedancing, and it was many years after joining them that her skills were recognized by higher powers.
A'Mia was scooped up by The One Sith, her promising force sensitivity combined with a good foundation of combat readiness meant that she could be thrown into service of their order rather quickly. It was her competence and willingness to fight without asking many questions which landed her on Kashyyyk, and ordered to defend it from Jedi forces who sought to reclaim it. She failed, alongside Sith and foot soldiers alike, and was driven deep into the forest. Fleeing from a Jedi combatant that bested and grievously wounded her, she only managed to escape because of her natural ability to blend into forested surroundings and likely his need to focus on the proper recapture of the planet.
A'Mia planted herself in a deep thicket of undergrowth, sounded by taller trees, intending to recover strength while she waited out the storm. By rooting herself in the ways of her people, drawing strength from the soil and sky, she unwittingly connected herself to the very soul of the planet. As the planet was purified of darkness, she was subdued and ensnared, forced gently into a deep slumber. Some 50 odd years have since passed, hints of that fitful sleeper all but buried by natural growth. Her years spent in reverie having only occasionally been disturbed by stirrings in the force, drawing her closer to the surface but not quite allowing her to escape.
Until that fateful day she was finally awoken…
