A Bastion

Soliael took the embrace, though of course he did not return it. Such a thing was not unwelcome, just an oddity that he did not really understand. Affection was not really something that occurred within his family, at least not at all commonly.

When she bade him to enter Soliael stepped inside with calm practiced steps. It was the first time he had been in the room, and he inspected it with a careful eye. He noticed a few particulars, gazing at them and studying them. He truly never had been to Aerins homeworld, and he found himself quite curious as to the nature of their culture. Aerin called this room fit for a King, indeed she had called it similar to what he had.

Something piqued in his mind, an oddity.

“You have met your King?” It had never occurred to him to ask after Aerins past. So many people came to Exocron, to Moross, to leave their past behind. He had never thought to question Aerin about it, simply leaving it at what she had told him.

Now however as he stepped onto the tower opening besides Aerin, he found himself interested.

"Not recently", she began to answer. "But yes I have have, on many occasions. My father was Chieftain of Clan Sabina, and being his daughter, I have standing within the Clan and in 'court'. So in the past I had to attend the King in the Grand Hall in the capital".

Her mind went back to the more recent events she had encountered on Midvinter. The true Prince had reveal himself to her and plans are set in motion to reclaim the throne, and cut the head of the serpent. Aerin stood higher pinning her shoulders back at the thought of it. She is of noble blood, more then most, and she only reveals this to those she trusts. Her body and stance bare the signs of it, for those that care to look with an educated eye.

She has no ambition to become most powerful on either end of the force spectrum, although she plans to learn as much as possible to achieve her ambitions. Her ambitions are with taking over a world. Midvinter is not her's to take however, but her eyes are set on another place.

“Interesting little world you come from.” Soliael mused quietly as a gust of wind nearly knocked him to the side. They were high up in the mountains, and the gust nearly knocked him from his feet with its strength. Landing a ship here of any size would be difficult, part of the reason he had chosen the mountains. “You must bring me to visit one day.”

He said the words with a smirk, though of course he had no intention of conquering or spreading Moross that far.

Of course his own family was predictably high born. His sister had considered herself a Queen, his brother reigned over Byss, his father had been an Emperor, his mother ruled an entire clan and his family lineage lead back to greatness for centuries. It was funny really, the lineage that he came from had always been ambitious, had always thought to rule and become Kings and Queens.

He had just taken it one step forward, and become a god.
