A bottle of Fizz - Valgrim Vastor vs Funami Teriyaki

Location: Korriban, Korriban city.

Life within the Empire was interesting at most. The people were cold, lacking empathy, technology was advanced and greatly dating past that of Haruun Kal. Yet despite all of these things the diversity and culture of this putrid crimson sanded planet was that captured the attention of so many. A true place of business for Valgrim and his acquired set of skills. Constantly on the move the Korun was required to go from one end of the city to the other constantly since many soldiers and sith warriors required Cybernetics to improve of replace a limb. While on such a trip as this to the Great temple, Valgrim could help but notice various acolytes gathered around.

What exactly were they up to? Acolytes of the Sith were as kids but not always. Valgrim since his arrival had enlisted into the Empires science and technology division due to his profession and to his surprise many force sensitives were also apart of this foundation as well. Naturally he fitted right in. Clashes of light flashed with a large alley way, followed shortly with grunts of pain and exertion in strength.

" Hello my lord. Your appointment im afraid will have to be rescheduled for tomorrow morning. Something has just come up that requires my immediate investigation." His Wit shined through the comm message as he ended the short call abruptly and stepped forward into the circle of dueling acolytes. Eyes examining his surrounding peers a smile was etched on his smug face as he took in their styles and forms for further study and later on memory recall.

" I would like to face the next challenger."

A dozen or so acolytes gathered about appeared dressed for a funeral. Sporting sharp suits and enthusiastically observing the ongoing fights, they laughed and placed bets on the combatants. A loud cheer erupted wherever a participant went down and credits kept changing hands without a pause. While undisciplined and lazy, Korriban Rippers knew how to have fun. Their presence usually spelled trouble, but right now their act was smooth and calm, for they knew doing otherwise would displease their leader. And they didn’t want to make her mad, oh no! Although nobody had ever seen her train or practice at the academy, she had given the entire gang of suits a taste of her nearly limitless power.

Atop the shoulders of one Ripper sat perched a petite, pink-haired child. Much like her short stature and dyed hair, her clothing also appeared out of place except for the red cape draped around her shoulders. Where others laughed, she sneered, watching the show with mild disinterest and only growing excited when blood spilled over the ground. Casting a look over the numerous heads, Funami spied a giant of a man. That alone was common in her life. Her gaze became glued to his cybernetic arm, however. The sight made her recall memories of papa; remembering his strong, yet gentle hands stroking her hair brought a smile.

Nostalgia was a weakness among Sith. Funami despised weakness.

Lightly tapping against her carrier’s head to get his attention, she leaned down to his ear. “Put me down!” She whispered. “I want to try!”

Ever the obedient lapdog, he carefully lifted the small girl off her shoulders and slowly lowered her toward the ground. The height difference was even more prominent now, but she did not care and let her foot land in the circle. An idle thought and an invisible telekinetic barrier materialized around the Sithling. Too small and physically weak to wear real armor, she had to use psychokinesis for everything.

“H-hello!” She waved at the challenger and bashfully lowered her eyes. “Um, mind if I give it a try?”

Ooh my.

Tilting his head, furrowing his brow and lending a gentle smile. This was his challenger? She had an entire entourage of people with her! How very interesting. This entire scene peeked the Koruns curiosity. The pink haired girl was but a mere child and she requested a fight. For a brief moment Valgrim winced at the thought of fighting a child but when his mind considered a greater picture he quickly reconsidered and accepted. Accepting her request in body language Valgrim set down the briefcase he held in his left hand and set it on the ground lightly. Next his hands reached back to tie his dreadlocks in a bun behind his head. Apon his belt a lightsaber like object rested clipped to his side. As of yet he did not reach for it.

He did not believe he needed it as of yet. Standing before her, his eyes glanced down at her with a shine of charm. " You certainly can. Try not to hurt me." The statement was almost laughable considering the amount of cybernetics hidden under his attire. Between the pink child and himself the scene was givin a contrast of color. Pink with bright hues along with brown, golds, reds and navy blues in his trench coat. It was as if everything else was in black and white in the alleyway compared to the other sith acolytes that sported those dreadful cloaks. No style what so ever.

Taking a step back a quick flash or hue went over his body for a split second before his head nodded slowly. Exploding forward with preternatural speed it was a givin that the Koruns body was now heavily augmented. No acolyte moved that fast. Cybernetic hand extending forward seeking to grab the little squirt and throw her against the wall. Easy prey. The child lacked the physical strength from what could be seen, so her only option was the force..in theory. As would be expected. But in what form?

Resistance was highly anticipated.

Valgrim was prepared for it.

He was confident, fully believing his abilities could effortlessly dwarf hers. Believing the same about her psychokinesis, Funami tapped her foot, waiting for him to make the first move. And he did. Launching himself at her like a Terentatek, he closed in with lightning speed. Never before had she seen anyone so fast, and attributed the supernatural speed to the heavy cybernetic modifications over his body. The child appeared frozen in place, holding her gaze cool and steady, mentally calculating the exact moment to strike. Rather than delaying too long and blasting him with the Force point-blank, she had decided to anticipate some sort of resistance to the energy and give herself a long enough window of opportunity to dodge.

Adept at telekinesis by the age of four, Funami had always considered the Force a toy. A deadly, incredibly dangerous toy. And she liked to play.

Displaying an alarming degree of skill, she gathered the Force in a single indrawn breath that summoned power from throughout the universe. Funami raised a hand toward the charging Sith, fell into the Force, and sent forth a telekinetic blast of concussive power as solid as any stone wall. Immediately flicking a wrist, she allowed the cosmic energy to envelop her small, fragile body and push it out of the giant’s way. Her short legs never would have accomplished the same feat in time. Several Acolytes yelled, expecting the pink-haired brat to come crashing into them, but it never happened. Just as before, a simple thought was enough to stop her flight and steel her in place. The moment her shoes tapped against the ground again, the Sithling twitched a finger ever so slightly, commanding the ground beneath her opponent to explode with a blast of telekinetic power.

“Fufufufufu~”

Just as I thought.

The strike was unsuccessful. Very much so. It seemed the little brat had some vague amount of natural talent with telekinesis after all, yet she lacked complete control. This could be exploited. Along with his rush forward the force of motion halted when the little girls hand extend forward and propelled the man, who was twice her size down the alleyway. With a crash Valgrim ricocheted off the duracrete wall and then toward the street in a twisting motion that seemed to over take his form. His body never seemed to make contact with the ground as with a sudden eruption a invisible wave of energy was then shifted rapidly from a horizontal direction to a vertical one.

" Gah." Air escaped the lungs in his chest. If it had not been for a subtle imbuement into his body before the attack was made then it would left a nastier wound than just some bruising. Momentum shifting to the left against the alleyway wall provided the Korun with a escape. His only direction being up. For several seconds Valgrim was sprinting up a vertical wall as if it was normal. A surreal scene. Grasping his Forcesaber from his belt and pushing off the walls the dual blades viciously came to life with a flash of static energy. Similar to lightning. Lunging down blade first Valgrim poised himself to strike above to impale her right shoulder while his thoughts dwelled on beneath. So very subtle. Only an idiot would use a straight forward attack against someone using the force. There was no build up of energy or sudden exaggerated movement to bring it about. Just the speed of thought. The mans mind was all that was needed to project an intense wave of power from below the pink hair child into the air closer to his blade. Oddly enough the invisible substance was not of the force. It was pure energy. A sudden change would undoubtedly break her concentration enough for the young lady to use the force. Unlike her Valgrim did not need that much focus to summon his own version of Telekinesis. All he needed was his forcesaber, Sparktongue and his thoughts.

This one could hope of.

" What happened to not hurting each other?" he smirked

Funami had always enjoyed seeing her psychokinetic powers at work. There was something charming about manipulating the world around with the mind. Watching the man receive the brunt of it was immensely satisfying. Folding her arms across her chest, the little Sithling adopted a bored expression and pouted. Loud cheers erupted among Korriban Rippers and some other acolytes had joined as well. Several onlookers simply stared at her in awe, unable to believe this little brat’s grip on the Force. Their attention instantly snapped toward Funami’s opponent. Rather than lying motionless in a pile of dirt, he chased after the pink-haired Sithling. Pushing off walls, lightsaber ignited, he was obviously determined to see this through and emerge victorious.

That made two of them.

Telekinesis pushed Funami back to remove her from within his attack path, just as it did the last time. The moment she shot back in a careful Force-guided dash, a sudden burst of energy exploded right beneath her feet. Concentration shattered, she lost all control over her own power and succumbed to the inertia started by her psychokinetic push. A completely surprised look reigned over her expression as she went straight into the onlookers. This time she did land among them, crashing into several bodies that went down with her and cushioned her fall.

“Oof!”

A hateful glower shot at him. She had not encountered such defiance yet and it infuriated her to no end. How could some random acolyte defy someone like her, embarrass her in front of everyone? The small Sith rose to her feet like a puppet pulled up by invisible strings, propelled by psychokinesis. No more holding back. Flexing her fingers, she mentally reached out and clapped her hands. Everyone turned into ammunition, forcefully shoved toward the man. The mass of bodies let out a collective cry of surprise and disapproval as the invisible wave of energy hurled them straight at him. Unprepared and caught with their pants down, there was little they could have done to prevent it.

“You did this!” She shouted and jabbed an accusatory finger his way.

Childlike mischief shined in her violet eyes. No more grandiose gestures like that. Funami usually did not need to make wild motions. Reaching out with her mind, anger, and wrath, she would wrap a telekinetic noose around her foe’s neck while he was distracted and pull, strangling him with her thoughts.

Before Valgrim could successfully close the gap between them. This child had yet again thwarted him. They flew everywhere! Acolytes of different sizes ,sex and species. All to be used as meat shields against him. [member="Funami Teriyaki"] must of been rather desperate now. Deactivating his Forcesaber Valgrim returned the weapon back to its clip on his belt, for he could not risk an investigation by the Sith Empire on their behalf. Within the Sith empire it was against the law to kill another acolyte which this would of no doubt led to if his weapon was not holstered. Caught mid air the force flowed through the Korun like a wind grazing the plains. His eyes came to focus resting not one the people themselves but instead their inertia.

Already transparent lines and symbols could be perceived in his mind over appropriate angles and trajectories. Extending his hand as gravity took him, the natural state of four acolytes was shifted two of them to the right and two of them to the left with a whiplash like jerk. The result? A chain reaction causing the people propelled at him to crash into one another in a swift occurring movement. A split between the middle of the hurled acolytes was more then enough for Valgrim to squeeze on by.

It gave the pink hair sith the appearance of having bad aim really.

Unfortunately this was a diversion tactic as when the Korun fell he was suddenly halted with a noose like grip around his trachea and windpipe. Slowly cutting off his air supply. Dreads jolting up and then back down from the force Valgrim hovered mid air with his left hand at his throat as his cybernetic right was at his side calmly. Two gasps were all he could manage before no more air could come into his enhanced lungs. He needed to think and fast!

" Gah! Gaaah"

While the acolytes she had used as projectiles slowly started getting up with groans and insults, her main target had been seemingly trapped by her psychokinetic might. A negligent gesture of Funami’s hand would send the cyborg crashing down without ever releasing the pinch on his throat. It was no longer about defeating the defiant acolyte. It was about dominating him, showing everyone she had the power to break anyone to get in her way or slow her down.

Slowly, delicately, her tiny, harmless and soft palm started to close. Funami would push at her opponent’s mighty body from all sides and angles with enough pressure to bend bones. This was to cause immense pain and immobilize him alike, both spelling almost certain failure to any attempts at concentration.

“So, had enough? Ufufu~ Funami chirped in her childish, immature voice, almost giggling.

She clenched her fingers further with power that would crush him to the ground, and her unyielding telekinetic grip would tighten still, squeezing hard.

The little brat! The time that passed through his time came to a slow as different possible outcomes all united into one. He had one chance to get this right.

Gasps of air escaped his mouth as his body shook violently. His cybernetic lungs were all that kept him alive as of now and in his current condition, he doubted he could last longer in this pain. When opposing forces collected on his sides and limbs Valgrim screamed.

" Aaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!" Caught up in the childs grasp his body and limbs began to contort to her sickly thoughts. Bending, breaking and shaping into a piece of bloody art riddled with pains. The sound of bones snapping aloud was enough to cause alarm and echo down the alleyway. In a last ditch effort the force within the Korun flickered in resistance to fight off the effects of [member="Funami Teriyaki"] but alas that flicker died out with a sweeping doubt in his ability. He hesitated.

A last breath was drawn out of Valgrim as he now lay limp crushed into the ground below. Blood leaking from the parts of him that were still human, the heat and warm slowly wasting away. Cybernetics crushed and sparking wildly. In the end he was the shape of a crushed ball complete with a complexion of blue skin and blood that fled from the eyes, nose, mouth and ears. The pool of blood slowly spread out in a puddle underneath him.

Faced with zero resistance, the strong telekinetic hands kneading soft flesh ceased their endeavor. Funami crossed her arms across the chest and struck a disinterested expression, pouting. Her gang immediately approached, excitedly rushing toward the small child. Their vocal cheers and incoherent babbling came to a stop the moment she raised a hand to silence the chatter. Excitement ran high in the group and nobody bothered to check on the defeated party. Korriban did not care about the weak and their bones were little more than stepping stones for the worthy.

“So,” she started, dispassionate gaze addressed to each thug surrounding her. “How much did we get?”

The largest one stepped up to speak, “Almost three thousand credits, Miss Teriyaki! Heh, nobody ever bets on you. Except us.”

A collective laugh, Funami included, and they divided their foul bounty. While not the most profitable thing in the galaxy, it was definitely among the more popular things acolytes used to spice up their duels. Fighting was fun. Betting was fun. Winning was fun.

“Oh no, the big guy’s dead! He’s not moving!” Someone’s voice cried out, proving compassion had not yet been fully extinguished on Korriban. Like one man, Korriban Rippers and their little pink-haired deity turned to the defeated acolyte. He was not moving. Obviously; being crushed like a rotten vegetable, he would remain still forever. Skipping forth, Funami swept past her faithful followers and beamed a wide grin.

“He’s not dead, just injured,” the small prodigy announced as her telekinetic strings tugged at the badly crumpled body and gave it the appearance of life. “See? He’s still moving! Better give him some space to breathe!”

A little hand waved at the small Sithling’s suited posse. “Come on, boys and girls! Get this man to the infirmary, he is wounded and needs our help!”

As they moved to grab the defeated man’s remains, Funami tugged at one of her Rippers’ sleeve, pulling him aside.

“Dump him someplace frequented by beasts,” she whispered to the sharply dressed acolyte. “If anyone asks, deny everything.”

And off she went, playfully skipping over the pool of blood and humming a jolly tune. All this Force usage was making her awfully hungry and she had plenty of credits to spare.
