Private A Chance Meeting

He stopped hearing her say the word Sith and he closed his eyes and turned around to her. "Then you have my sword as well." He told her and opened his eyes his one eye was twitching as he was containing his emotions. They had made it back to the console and he took his seat and offered for her to take a seat.

"You may call me Glitch." he told her and brought the console up and sighed.

"I can tell you the last place I Knew she was. But once I arrived The woman in her body was not her." He took another deep breath and a tear hit the console and a voice spoke.

"DNA verified Would you like to activate lock down protocol?" This came from the console.

"No return us to the warehouse." He then looked at his guest and offered his robotic hand. He smiled something he felt he hadn't done yet but she deserved it and had given him a rare gift hope.
"Thank you for the hope."

Glitch stopped suddenly when she said the word Sith and promised his sword. He then gave her his name, and Ra nodded. She had already given hers, but when he held out his hand, she took it to shake.

All told, this was one of the easiest recruitments. There were no bruises or bloodshed. She had picked up a new arms dealer and member of her movement. When he had come inot this warehouse, it had been to repair some droids. The change in her fortune surprised but pleased her.

She lifted an eyebrow at his statement about giving him hope, but she wasn't sure how to respond. Taking the neutral path...

"You're welcome, Glitch. I hope we can become more than just business partners in time."

This was more than Ra would typically have said about her personal feelings, and she closed her mouth right after speaking. Mentally slapping herself, she was silent for a few moments.

"Is there anything else you need from me today?"

Ra had made a statement that had caught him off guard but he simply smiled at her. He lowed his hand and rested it on the console debating the next move but at this point there wasn't one the transaction was done and he had vowed his sword.

"As for what I do required is help finding my sister. She was last seen on Korriban outside the temple of Tulok Horde." He slowly stood up and moved down the warehouse and grabbed his shirt and Vibrosword into his coat and draped the shirt over his arm heading back to her.

"Nothing business related no but I have not eaten yet and well I tend to have to find some lower class places due to my..." he flexed his metallic fingers then she heard the tapping of metal on metal as he tapped his toes. "... Condition." the words trailed off and he headed for the droids service exit.

"IF you would like to join me for a meal and we can talk more I wouldn't mind the company." Glitch then disappeared out of the service exit behind a mouse droid. She would be able to see how he entered and exited with out the warehouse ever logging someone entering or exiting. He took and made his way to the streets of the warehouse district and waited to see if he would have company or not.

Taking a mental note of the information about his sister, Ra nodded. She was last seen in a very dangerous territory but a place Ra could probably get into without too much difficulty.

"What is her name?"

Ra would reach out to her few allies within the Sith, and they might have an easier time finding her. Walking in step with Glitch, her eyes followed the noises he made with his toes, and she chuckled a little.

"You won't have to worry about eating poorly with me around."

Barely a moment behind him, Ra followed her new friend and ally out of his warehouse and out into the streets.

"Is there any type of food you like best?"

Glitch Kinthal Glitch Kinthal

He chuckled at her statement about not eating poorly. "Well At this point I dont know if she knows her name but it was Elorna." His face twisted into a frown for a moment before it slipped back up to a smile.

"food do I like best? hmmm that is a good question I don't know been surviving on nutrient paste for so long that I honestly don't know."

He walked with her heading towards the main strip where many cantinas and restaurants and bars would be. His coat bellowed in the wind and his sword seemed to always be hidden in it even though it was on his hip at least that is where he had last attached it.

Riamah Riamah

The only thing Ra could think of was to make a mental note of his sister's name. When she returned to her home, she would contact some of her people, and they could get to work on this. Listening to what Glitch said he had been eating, she rubbed her face as a reaction. With an almost silent sigh, she walked beside Glitch and allowed him to guide their steps.

"You're not married or have a partner. If you did, I'm pretty sure you would be eating better. There is a time and place for nutrient paste and bars. On the ground, it is not that. Where are you planning on dinner?"

Since Ra had been informed he didn't spend much time on Naboo, she could make some suggestions.

Glitch Kinthal Glitch Kinthal

Glitch chuckled and shook his head at her reaction and question. "Considering most of my time is spent in space or in the abandoned hyperspace lanes quick food is a necessity it also allows me to train longer less time sitting and eating. I come back when needed to check on my stock or." He looked at her and figured he would play with the words she had used.

"A new Partner. Maybe now I wont just be an enigma." His voice trailed off and he stopped in front of a nice restaurant but it had a No droids sign. He lifted his hand and let her lead the way. "The choice is yours unless you know of a better place."

His mind danced about seeing the palace one day but he also knew his shadow games required him to almost never be seen by prominent figures. "You may call me Avone In public." He told her in a hushed tone. Everyone knew of the arms dealer Glitch but anyone who knew him or had dealings with him stated they never saw his face it was always an intermediary but in truth He was at every deal he just had several aliases he went by.
Riamah Riamah

She wondered if the Metal Lords had encountered Glitch in those old hyperspace lanes. They had shared them with Ra, and she considered asking him if he had run into them—another time, not tonight.

"That is something I understand very well. You see, I am also a trader and merchant. So, I, too, spend most of my time traveling between systems and planets. Perhaps we can expand your business?"

Giving him a hint of a smile when he mentioned he won't be an enigma anymore.

"To one of your kind...Echani, I mean, I am probably an open book."

She pointed to his arm and leg when he motioned to the sign outside of the restaurant.

"At most, you're a cyborg. Not a robot or droid. If any place tries to turn you away, then they are in the wrong. It's not like you've got a control chip in your head or a program controlling you anywhere. C'mon."

She would take hold of his hand and pull him into the restaurant unless he pulled away.

He smiled but it seemed like it is a well practiced smile that almost looks natural. "In a Fight everyone is an open book to me." He felt her hand take his as she pulled him in. He knew he was more on the cyborg side but most people don't see the difference in this instance.

The host moved in front of her and barred the couples path. "Sorry No Droids even a service droid isn't allowed." The host pointed to the sign and stared at Glitch with disdain almost as if this wasn't the first time he had tried come to this establishment.

"Ra as I said They wont let me in wont matter if I'm alive or not" He stated flatly his smile having left his other arm sliding under his coat and gripped around the hilt of his sword expecting a fight. It was just engrained into him that anyone in his way was a adversary. He remembered this lesson well due to his younger year and his mother pushing him and letting anyone who saw his hair color as him being inferior to them to attack him and challenge him for no other reason. He was the black sheep and he knew it shunned by his own people and even society.

Pulling out a business card, she handed it to the host.

"Go show that to your manager, Mister Grey. I also imagine you have at least one cyborg in your employment. Check your kitchen staff. We'll wait for you here."

For once, the host did as requested and returned a few minutes later with his manager. Taking her card back, she crossed her arms over her chest and waited for the apology. That didn't happen, but they were offered a table near the room's rear.

"After you, Avone."

Giving him a smile, her name clearly carried some weight with this establishment.

He stared at the manager whom seemed disgusted with the man but looked to Ra before her started to escort them he obviously was not happy about letting this man in. "Please just do not let grease get everywhere." Was all he said and did so quietly.

Glitch continued to follow him and walk with Ra to the back his eyes narrows at the statement for only just a second his hand instinctually moved to his sword before letting it go and putting that practiced smile back on his face and slipping his hands into his pockets.

"Thank you my dear." He stated seeing the posture of the man shift and his practiced smile became more natural as the man showed faint signs of fear including a small bead of sweat that ran down his back. Glitch was enjoying toying with the man and stepped around him in a single motion and pulled out Ra's chair.

If this weren't such an excellent establishment, Ra would have had some choice words to give to these two men. Maybe at one point in her life, she had been afraid of droids, but even she knew the difference between droids and organics. Glitch was more organic than machine; she appreciated this, even if these men didn't. She let out a slight growl at the men and smiled as Glitch pulled out her chair.

"You have my word. No grease will get anywhere except what comes from the food."

It was a different kind of grease, but there was some humor in what she said.

Waiting for them to leave before picking up the menu, she looked at her new business partner.

"What do you think you're going to order?"

Glitch Kinthal Glitch Kinthal

Staring at the menu he did everything he could not to laugh at how she was poking the manager. a low rumble laugh came from him once they where out of ear shot and he continued to stare at the menu. His eyes darted between the options and he set it down and looked up trying to remember what he liked. Trying to remember a time before his hunt before the damage.

"I'm not sure really it has been some time since I have had any real food save nuts or booze even at my dealings food was never on the menu just business."

His voice was soft almost like the fact he had forgotten what food was like didn't bother him he then rolled his head forward and looked at her. Business was changing it seemed at this point.

"I will defer to you until I can find my own taste again?"

with that said he pulled out a small holocron and set it in the center of the table.

"Consider this the first of many offerings I have." Pulling his hand back he looked to her again he had not said what was in it. The core of the holocron was red and white swirling each other but never touching.

"I travel around often enough to understand what you mean, Avone. The best dish here, in my opinion, is this."

Pointing with the tip of her finger at one of the dishes on the menu in front of him, she returned to the one on the host set on the table for her.

"While nuts and booze are great for short flights, they aren't enough to sustain you. I'd suggest looking into this brand of nutrition bars."

Writing the name down on a datapad, she handed it over the table to him. Her golden eyes followed the motion as he placed the Holocron on the table. Leaving it untouched for the moment, she knew its potential dangers.

"What does that contain?"

That finger pointed at it like it had pointed at his menu.

He looked to the suggestion and nodded.

"I will give it a try."

He then turned his attention to the holocron he had placed out. His demeanor changed entirely as he then looked back up to her and he set the menu down. He was trying to figure out how to describe it without exposing to much. after several moment of silence he had settled on how to proceed.

"It is all the information on my sister that I have found. It also holds something else that you will have to find and figure out. I can not provide you with further details."

His voice trailed off as he snatched the menu up and stared at the suggested meal. Then glanced to the data pad seeing the nutrient bar she had suggested and sighed. It was sad but he almost wanted to order the bar but once again that is due to being a creature of habit. They where here to get him a real meal for once and he would eat it without question.

There was a hunger in her eyes for a moment as Ra listened to what he was telling her about the Holocron. It soon became clear it wasn't going to harm her, and it quickly disappeared into one of her multitude of pockets—unless Glitch stopped her, of course. While she would use the information he provided and pass it along to her people, she was more interested in the additional thing he mentioned.

Lifting an eyebrow at his last comment, she wondered silently if he meant he would not or if he really could not. She thought it was the second but wouldn't hold that against him. He was giving this to her for free and in good faith. By finding his sister, she would be paying him back.

Because the two of them were snatching things around, it took a little longer for their waiter to visit the table. Eventually, one did find his way there to take their orders.

"I'll take this. Everything on it and extra potatoes."

Giving Glitch his chance to order, she sipped the provided water.

Seeing the hunger and want for what was in it made him remember the first deal he had mad in his career with a Sith that learned to not cross him. He stiffened only for a moment then relaxed he knew this was not the same. Watching her take it he nodded and took a deep breath as the server returned and took her order.

Listening to her make her order he showed him what she had pointed out with his Mechanical arm. The server took the order then mumbled under his breath as he walked away "Stupid droids getting to do what they want.

Glitch had it at this point and stood up throwing his coat back and Ria realized how Echani he was and he had a sword saber and blaster on him the blaster on the back of his coat the saber was strapped just behind his left arm and his sword was on his hip as normal.

"You want to see what this Echani can teach you I would love to have a conversation with you."

This caused many customers near them to look and the server took off leaving a slight wet trail on the ground.

Glitch took a deep breath and adjusted his coat and took his seat again. He was so angry but she could tell his rage was controlled to a level more than most Sith.

"I am sorry for my outburst."

He grabbed his water and took a drink setting it down.

While the evening had begun on a good foot, things were starting to turn a bit sour. She had been able to gain Glitch entry to this establishment, but the good service she had received here in the past was far worse. Ra didn't blame her new partner for their actions and reactions; it was just how these people worked and didn't allow anybody with anything artificial to eat there. Things finally reached a head when their server made an uncalled-for comment.

Before she could react, Glitch was on his feet and challenging the man. Luckily for all of them, it didn't evolve further, and the waiter returned to the kitchen. Sensing Glitch's anger, she felt it was warranted but didn't know how to ease the tenseness. They could always leave the restaurant, but that would be admitting defeat, and Ra was not one to back down. It was clear he wasn't either. This quality was one of many that made them good business leaders.

"A person can only take abuse for so long before they break."

Accepting the apology, she was silent for a moment or two.

"What happened to cause your injury?"

He had given her a few hints at his warehouse but no real answers.

Glitch Kinthal Glitch Kinthal

Glitch set his water down knowing that he had caused a scene but one that was valid. He wanted to teach the idiots a lesson but why let them win. He also wasn't going to leave and was going to enjoy the meal no matter what. This was a statement one he could not take back or what would it do cause more harm allow them to go oh I was right? Not this man and not this day.

"Well as for the injury they where caused during training one of my last training. or was it that Sith might have been both." He laughed purposefully mixing the two up.

"Either way the fight had gone wrong and emotions had become the lesson of the day." He sighed looking to his hands.

"A lesson I will not soon ever forget, even if i cant remember the teacher." The man set his hands on the table and then grabbed the water finishing it and setting the glass on the edge to get a refill.

"Most people wouldn't ask about my injuries why do they fascinate you so much?" As he deflected the conversation away from him and back to being about her.

She had worked long enough with people, organics, and even free droids to know she might have overstepped any invisible lines that had been drawn. Luckily, her new companion allowed her to cross them. He gave her a little more information, and Ra accepted it and didn't go any further yet. They had met not too long ago, and Glitch had no reason to trust her. Hopefully, she could gain that, and they could form a stronger working relationship.

Ra couldn't help but give him half of a smile at his lesson comment. It was something she understood all too well. Especially after her memory of her childhood was returned to her. Her teacher was long dead, but not by her hand. Glitch then asked why she was so interested in his injury.

"I offered to help you to no longer need to clean the filter and cleanse your system of the poison. Any information you are willing to give me will help me accomplish this."

An answer that was short, sweet, to the point, and entirely true. There was no reason for her to try to hide her reasoning, and she wanted things to be kept open and honest between them.

Service was a little slower because of his presence, but eventually, their food arrived, and a different server brought it to them. Their drinks were refilled, and this new server was far more friendly and open to interacting with Glitch.
