Evening folks. With the approval of [member="Colap Ticon"], I'd like to try my hand at organizing and running a few threads for the Ravens with a spin and twist added to them here and there. For the purpose of this, I will almost entirely take the role of a GM and not play my own character, since a few of this ideas would make no sense for him. However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't expect some form of opposition from Law Enforcements and other interested parties. This will be an entirely In-House experience, that is to say, it will be only accessible to members of the Red Ravens to participate in so that misunderstandings of any sort won't happen with other factions.
While the general premise of what I have in mind is set in stone, more or less, note that a few things will be subject to change once I have time to properly expand on the general plot line. Most notably, changes to locations and the NPCs you will meet along the way might be different than what I advertise here, while the overarching plot and objective will remain mostly unchanged. There will not be a single thread to follow when completing this missions, as I plan on letting you folks decide what is the most effective way to complete your objectives. That is not to say that there won't be consequences. For example, if you go guns blazing in a stealth mission, expect a lot heavier resistance in the others. The missions outlined below do not all take place at the same time, which is to say you are more than welcomed to participate in more than one or all of them at the same time. If there will be a surprisingly high amount of interest in this however, please list them in the order you wish to participate in. First come, first served.
Without further ado, let's begin.
Name of Mission : The Turncoat
Suggested Number of Players : One to Four
Type of Mission : Stealth / Sabotage
Risk Level : Low
Handler : Yes
Description : Despite the fact that Antecedent is unofficially ran by the Red Ravens due to the fact they have most, if not all of the government institutions in their pockets, there are still a few special interest groups that are doing their best to either limit their influence or dethrone them. They mostly fall under the category of rival organizations, intent on removing the Ravens from power and placing themselves as the underworld rulers of the neon planet. There are also those few who deem themselves non-corruptible and are trying to change the system from the inside while playing their game. A prominent member of the Ravens has recently suffered from a change of heart, betraying the organization and attempting to bring them in front of the law. While the evidence he can bring to court will be a thorn in the side of the Ravens, it is by no means crucial to their destruction. However, if allowed to persist, it will spur on others to come out from hiding and force the system to work in it's intended manner, to protect and serve the people and not the special interests of criminal organizations. The law enforcements have their hands tied behind their backs in this matter, seeing as they cannot arrest and silence him to protect the Ravens without sparking a planet wide outrage and revealing just how corrupt they truly are. His death will also be instantly picked up the freelance reporters and independent journalists who would like to see the Ravens taken down a peg, or to boost their career in the galaxy by uncovering the rampant corruption in Antecedent. As such, it falls to the Ravens to properly dispose of this inconvenience. The suggested plan of operation is frame the traitor of as many crimes as humanly possible before the televised hearing at the courthouse. If sufficient evidence of misdoings can be planted on the man, the police will have free reign to arrest him and make him one of the Invisible. Past misdeeds will be extremely difficult to pull out as his personal dossier was burned to a crisp as part of his deal to squeal.
Bonus Objective : If at all possible, assassinating the traitors character in the eyes of the population will excessively speed up the arrest process and will put a stop to any media attempts to redeem the man or let him speak.
Name of Mission : The Deal
Suggested Number of Players : One to Three
Type of Mission : Social / Diplomacy / Stealth
Risk Level : Medium
Handler : Yes
Description : Along with intergalactic recognition on the black markets come potential investors and trade partners. With the rise of the Red Ravens and their recent feud with the Black Suns, numerous crime lords and planetary cartels in the nearby systems are starting to weight their choices more carefully in regards to who they align towards. One of them being the nearby Camerata family, a mob based primarily on the nearby planet of Nadiem. They wish for an audience with representatives of the Ravens in order to set up a supply route of narcotics and drugs from Antecedent to Nadiem. Their main goal in this endeavor is to acquire a steady supply of illegal substances to sell on the markets of their planet at a lower price than their competitors and to bring diversity to the line of products entering their markets. Their intended goal is to strong arm their competition, a cartel with ties to the Black Suns, out of existence and to secure a monopoly on the drug business. The rates they have offered will be a net loss to the Ravens for several years, if not a few decades, but have promised to repay the losses the Ravens will suffer as a result once they assert dominance. They have also been shown to be willing to negotiate the shares percentage if it means they can get the Ravens to the table. The Camerata are however, not as fortunate as the Ravens when it comes to having the government back them up and cover their misdoings. Forceful coercion might be possible to get a better deal. The few police reports the Ravens had been able to acquire on the head of the Camerata list him as a sexual offender and the opposite of a gentleman.
Bonus Objective : If the cards are played right, it is possible to convince the Camerata to suffer the brunt of the loss of profits from this entire deal, while the Ravens will garner a small profit from it.
Now you might be wondering why the handler won't give you the entire story. The first reason is the potential of him having a personal bias about the capabilities of the agents, believing that they might botch up the mission if they are made aware of this information. For purely gameplay reasons, the handler will NOT be able to select which agents he tells what information to. They either all hear it, or none of them do. The second reason is because their greedy. If the handler uncovers information about a large stash of credits, for example, he can avoid telling the field agents about it in hopes they won't find it themselves. Once the mission is complete and the thread ended, he will receive that reward after a brief thread to recover the left behind stash. It can either be done together with me, or I can do it alone and offer it to them afterwards.
New missions will be added periodically if any interest is shown in this. Now I'm off to rest because I'm a lazy bum. [member="Cryax Bane"] and [member="Yuuta Namari"], I'll get on our threads later.

~Mission Number 3~

A note on handlers. Each mission has a set number of maximum players that can participate in it. If one of the players wishes to, they can play the role of a handler. The handler is to remain within the confines of Raven safehouses and territory and to provide real-time intel to the agents on the field. Their job will usually involve hacking, guidance, and resource management. The presence of a handler that does his job in a mission means that there is a chance to uncover further information that will prove of use to the field units in accomplishing their objectives, as well as possible rewards to be dug up by the agents. A special thing to note however is the fact that the Handler gets to decide just what and how much information the field units will receive. I will personally talk with the handler each time something new popups that he will be aware of, such as that unintentional slips of OOC information won't happen. Now you might be wondering why the handler won't give you the entire story. The first reason is the potential of him having a personal bias about the capabilities of the agents, believing that they might botch up the mission if they are made aware of this information.
