A Day on Voss

Today Viktoria Hanna Norduin had been called over to the Headquarters on Voss to help out with teaching some of the new Padawans. They were getting her ready to have her own Padawan. She had always wanted her own student, but she thought that she never had the confidence, courage or responsibility to take care of a Padawan. So the masters offered her a chance to help out teaching a class of younglings who had just been brought up to Padawan.

The master of the class, was giving her a shot at teaching the younglings, so she took her best chance and took a shot at giving them some lessons. Right now, they were practicing with their lightsabers. They were being a little difficult, but it was expected.

"Tiffany, keep your blade up. There you go, good."

she instructed. After a little while, one of the Masters came in to see how she was doing and to give her a break.

"Looks like you're doing well so far, Viktoria."

he said.

"Yeah, I'm kinda surprised, I thought I would never qualify."

she responded.

"You qualify, you just didn't trust yourself. Why don't you go ahead and take a little break. Go ahead and go find some lunch."

he said. Viktoria nodded before heading out.

"Thank you, Master."

she responded before she then went out and found a small local restaurant known as The Star of Voss. Once she arrived, she sat down at one of the tables, looking at a menu, until she sensed another force presence. It was obviously a Jedi world of force sensitives, but this one was different, this person was strong in the force as most, but she had already known most of the people in the area and the signature of this person was different.

Tamara had just finished placing her order at the counter and was walking over to the table at the corner, where she would usually sit. This restaurant was one of the few public places she would ever come to. The food here was simply better than what the Jedi made. Her corner table was her usual spot to sit in, since it was farthest from most of the other patrons eating here. She was wearing her Jedi attire as to be expected from her, so she was easily taken for a Jedi, and good thing Jedi were a common site here. So nobody bothered her thankfully.

The padawan sat down at the end table, failing to notice another older looking Jedi was sitting there already. She wouldn't acknowledge the woman until she looked up and got a fright from seeing her,"Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't see you there...I'll...I'll go..." She would quickly say and prepare to get up again.

Viktoria was looking through a menu to see what she wanted to eat. Her stomach growled as she saw many different choices. She saw her usual, but today she wanted something a little bit different. Viktoria was shaken from her thoughts when a young girl came over to the table and sat down. Viktoria guessed that she hadn't seen her, but she also guessed that had accidentally taken this girl's seat.

When she looked up to the Knight, She seemed rather frightened and started to get up, apologizing to her in the process. But Viktoria stopped her.

"No, no. It's alright. It's been a busy day, but I wouldn't mind some company. Honestly it should be me apologizing. I didn't realize that this seat was taken already."

she responded, giving the girl a warm smile.

This Jedi seemed friendly enough, so Tamara returned a very faint smile and sat back down again,"Well it wasn't... I just normally sit here every morning for breakfast" It was nice to hear the Jedi was happy to have her as company, this wasn't the girl was used to, and as such she hasn't had a worthwhile conversation in some time. She was naturally quiet and was silent for a few moments before looking up and saying something,"I'm Tamara"

She knew the other was a Jedi, so she didn't bother giving her that bit of information. The few people that she got to meet always asked her about the lightsabers dangling from her belt.

Victoria nodded with a small smile. She seemed almost drawn to the girl who introduced herself to be Tamara. She couldn't figure out why, she just was.

"Well, I apologize I didn't know that. I generally sit here for lunch. I guess we pass each other when we come in. Maybe literally. Anyway, my name is Viktoria Norduin. Its a pleasure to meet you, Tamara."

She responded calmy and kindly.

Tamara frowned and bowed in greeting, the padawan was way too respectful,"It's nice to meet you too" For a few moments Tamara's eyes wondered about the diner as she awkwardly tried to figure what was going to happen next. She finally turned back to Viktoria, whilst moving some strands of hair away from her eyes.

"So...um... what do you do"

Possibly the worst question ever asked. She already knew Viktoria was a Jedi, but what more could she ask? Probably plenty of other things, but she stuck to her question and shamefully waited for an answer.

Viktoria could admit the meeting between them was slightly awkward, but it was nothing out of the norm for Viktoria. Generally when she met new people, she was just about as open or closed as the person she met. It was a weird trait of hers, but she dealt with it and tried to be more open. Upon hearing Tamara's question, Viktoria smiled as the young girl in front of her seemed to be completely nervous to talk to her.

"Well, I'm a Jedi Knight here at the academy, and more recently I've been helping out with teaching some of the Padawans. I'm finishing up one of the Padawan's training myself right now though. One of the headmasters wanted me to be ready for taking care of my own Padawan. Teaching him though, I kinda feel like taking on two Padawans. I mean it can't be that hard.."

Viktoria paused. She didn't realize how much she had yapped her gums. She had a problem with saying one thing and then starting to explain everything.

"Two padawans you say...?" Tamara let out a barely audible and exaggerated laugh,"If you wanted to know what hard was, you could just teach me" She let out another fake laugh. She was trying to pull off a joke that was already kind of lame in her own mind, but what could you do if you are shaking from how nervous you are and still trying to look normal. Most of the other girls giggled during their conversations, so she figured she could simply imitate them.

"Not many masters have even considered me before. I don't mean to be rude or anything, I just find it odd how some Knights are even willing to take on multiple students..."
