Private A Delicate Situation

A signal. A beeping. The sound of something beginning again, of voices in the distance. There was a flicker. A green glow shone amongst limbs, and lit up the sides of the faceplate, and then the droid turned on, virtual interface hologram lightning up on the front of it.

"...trace amounts of organic entities detected." It stood there a moment, virtual interface blinking for a moment in a sort of processing error. Then. "EMERGENCY. EMERGENCY. PROTOCOLS SUNDANCE, NIGHTFALL AND DAWNBRINGER ARE NOW IN EFFECT. EMERGENCY. EMERGENCY. PROTOCOLS SUNDANCE, NIGHTFALL AND DAWNBRINGER ARE NOW IN EFFECT. EMERGENCY. EMERGENCY. CREATOR RAPHAEL GALLUSTRADE IS CURRENTLY UNDERGOING INTENSE PHYSICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL AND/OR MENTAL STRAIN." There were a few moments of silence. "UNIT DESIGNATION RIVER UNLOCKED. ALL RESTRAINTS REMOVED. SOCIETAL RESTRAINTS LIFTED. VARIABLE WEAPONS RESTRAINTS LIFTED." There was a pause of a few minutes. "...unit River will need assistance."

After a few moments, River began walking, and walked out of the headquarters that he'd been stored in and headed for the starport of the planet, purchasing a ticket on a shuttle to the Galactic Alliance. The ticket counter was confused for a moment but, after a few minutes, handed River the ticket. Without a second thought the droid lightly walked into the shuttle, as it flew, for once, to the Galactic Alliance.

The moment that it landed, the droid immediately sprinted to the Jedi Temple, leaping over, dodging under and clamoring over things and speeders as well. It took him several minutes but before long, River found itself standing before the jedi Temple. As it stood there, people began looking to one another, questioning and pondering amongst each other until, finally, one of the guards approached.

"This unit must speak with {Theological Entity} Jedi Grandmaster, Valery Noble, and simply began to repeat the phrase, until the guards seemed to, eventually, give up, shrug and one went to get her. After all, it was most likely not worth the time to try and deal with a droid that kept repeating the same thing over and over again.

"What is the meaning of this?"

Valery had been summoned by the Temple Guards because of a droid repeating a request to see her over and over again. She had nothing against droids at all, but it was extremely odd for one to come find her. Usually, it even meant trouble. Valery could still vividly remember R6 finding her when Kahlil had been captured, after all. It had been a terrifying experience, but also brought them back together after a long time apart.

This was going to be different, she knew, but she was curious.

"Can you please tell me who you are and what it is that you want?" She then asked the droid after making her way down some of the stairs. The Temple Guards remained awfully close to her, just because they didn't seem to trust it. If this droid was here to try and assassinate her, they'd stop it.

Or give their own lives defending Valery.

River stared forward, as the grandmaster walked a bit closer down the steps, yet did not seem to want to come any closer. The droid stood by, seemingly processing; at least that's what it would seem like on the outside. Finally, its head casing lowered for a moment, before raising it, with a holographic interface popping up along the face plate, just barely above it. River took a half step forward, holographic interface emoting concern.

"This unit apologizes for its abrupt and sudden appearance, {Theological Entity} Jedi Grandmaster, Valery Noble; however Unit River carries critical information on a member of one member of {Theological Entity} Jedi Order." The voice, while incredibly simulated, also conveyed a great deal of emotion. "This unit knows that Theological Entity Jedi Grandmaster, will not be able to read this unit's memory circuit through the Force, nor understand its emotional state. Unit, however, is exceedingly concerned. Information is... delicate and unit would appreciate privacy, if that is all possible."

It stood, now, at a parade rest style attention, waiting on her answer. It made no further movements, didn't attempt to approach her, or run up the stairs. It stood there. Waiting. "...this unit apologizes for its... unreasonable request..."

"You have important information about one of my Jedi?" Valery asked and looked at the holographic interface with a frown. She couldn't sense whether or not this was important, or just how concerned this droid was. The Force was telling her nothing, but she still understood a lot better than he could likely imagine.

"It's not an unreasonable request. I... understand quite well," Valery said with a soft smile. Having BB-610 BB-610 so close to her in her life had helped her understand droids far better. She would never be able to sense anything, but their mannerisms and way of speech betrayed more than enough. She could tell when her little buddy was feeling down about something, or when he was worried about the next battle.

She could tell that the droid in front of her had legitimate concerns.

"Guards, feel free to return to your posts. I'm going to bring the droid inside," she said, and both guards turned to her with equal surprise. They, however, weren't going to question her and stepped aside.

"Come on, we're heading up to the Council Chambers."

"Affirmative," came a rather swift reply, as it stood at parade rest. It's movements, while very robotic, seemed to reflect an almost human touch, as if the droid had been built to resemble, or was mimicking, typical humanoid motion. Yet to neither the guards, nor Valery did it make any movements. It simply stood there, watching, sensors processing as the interface went away. Sapient species tended to be disturbed by robotic things that resembled them, and Jedi wold be at least a bit disturbed when they couldn't sense anything in the Force.

With her admission, River simply nodded. Not wanting to draw more attention to itself than normal, it remained standing, watching silently. Even her admission that she understood its request was something that it wasn't expecting, and yet it still stood there. The guards turned at her words, glancing at her, but apparently, did not wish to contradict or countermand. It watched the guards and then Valery Noble. Information was being gathered as it did so.

"Very well." River nodded and turned, following her to the Council Room.

Without a word from the guards, Valery turned and guided the droid down the quickest path to the Council Chambers. She didn't want to make a scene or waste any time, so a better tour was going to have to wait. They reached the turbolift soon enough, and went up the huge tower at the very center of the Temple. Many people on Coruscant had seen and admired it from afar, but very few would ever set food inside the circular room at the top.

Inside, there was no sign of the Council — they were not in meeting and most were out in the field at the moment. It left the two with the privacy that the droid had requested from her.

"Please, tell me everything you know. If something's up with one of my Jedi, I don't think we have time to waste." Ever second could be the difference between life or death, so she wasted no time on pleasantries.

She wanted to get straight down to business.

Valery turned, nodded to the guards to her right and left and turned back in, heading back into the Temple. With a determined, steely movement, River followed behind, staying not too far from the Jedi Grandmaster but not getting too close either. As they went, its sensors continuously picked up on both stares and whispers being thrown their way. Surely it wasn't a stretch to think that the grandmaster of the Jedi would be meeting with a droid, was it?

It did not take long for them to reach the turbolift to, what River could only assume, the central tower, most likely leading to the Council Chambers. It was a quiet ride. This grandmaster was a determined sort, it'd downloaded such information over the holonet before, but this was the first time seeing this sort of focus from organic individuals.

The moment that they arrived int he tower, there was no meeting going on, no "council" as it had always heard about. No heady meetings. This was fortuitous and advantageous.

"Apologies, Master Jedi. Context, however, iis needed. Unit River is a model of advanced class four droid designed for the Rimward Trade League by Creator Raphael Gallustrade. Unlike standard ORPSU models, Unit River was programmed with three additional parameters, two protocols and one subroutine. The first: protocol Sundance. Unit is to act as an insurgent across Galactic Alliance adversary Space. The second: Protocol Nightfall, exfil of Creator Raphael Gallustrade from locations hazardous to his health. Sub-routine Dawnbringer: Return of Creator Raphael Gallustrade to Jedi Order." It paused a moment, the tonation of its words actually sounding fairly sad. "These three protocols were only meant to be activated were Creator Raphael gallustrade in danger of a potential fall to what you Jedi define as: Dark side."

The droid paused, more sadness in its tonation as it spoke. "...approximately seven days ago from an unknown location within the Unknown Regions a signal was recieved from Creator Raphael Gallustrade. This signal was meant to release all societal and weapon restrictions from Unit River, and to activate all three protocols at once. Physical status: One shattered femur. Emotional status: No Data Available. Psychological status: No Data Available. Protocols: Active. Conclusion: Activation of all three protocols can only mean that Creator Raphael Gallustrade is either in enough duress physically, psychologically, mentally or a combination of the three that he fears a potential fall to "Dark Side". Conclusion two: Creator Raphael Gallustrade has been captured by Galactic Alliance adversary: Sith Empire, and is unable to secure an escape. Creator Raphael Gallustrade will do what he can to stay alive, even if it means faking a fall."

Raphael.

The name hadn't escaped her as the droid began to speak, and she immediately feared where this was going. Raph wasn't quite like most Jedi here — he didn't have many years of training within the Jedi behind his belt to prepare him for certain things. She trusted him, sure, but if he had gone missing... She frowned and continued to intently listen to what the droid told her. Every detail could matter, and this sounded like it could even be life or death.

Or worse, a fall to the Dark Side, it seemed.

"Do you have an exact location from within the Unknown Regions?" Valery asked with a tilt of her head. "We can't for sure know what his status is, but we're not leaving him out there." She paused and hummed in thought for a moment, before letting out a softer sigh.

"Perhaps I should go after him myself. A familiar face is probably better, especially if he did fall."
