A Diamond in the rough or is it.

Nar Shadaa

Marcus walked along the streets and alleyways on the smugglers moon. He enjoyed it there the atmosphere, the freedom, and yes even some of the wares. The robed Sith Lord with his face concealed by a hood moved in and out of the crowds. Some gave him a wide berth and some didn't. Heck a few were even brave enough to attempt to stare him down. It made Marcus smirk to see it.

It was not long when the traffic in and out of a building towards the back of an alley. Much more traffic than was normal for such an out of the way location. Curiosity getting the better of him Marcus made his way over slipping in with the crowd. As he passed through the door her heard the familiar sounds of a slave auction. He chuckled moving further into the building towards the back............towards the hidden jewels. The merchandise most people considered to be inferior for one reason or another. The hard sells if you will...........ones that were high risk and came with a high price tag.

Another morning awakened to the sounds of the cages opening. If Sinda had eyes she would have kept them closed as long as possible, long enough to drown out the remnants of the dream that still haunted her mind for over a week. The sounds. The fires. The screaming. The sensation of feeling both her father and mother being disconnected from the Force around her. She laid curled up in the corner of her clod cell before hearing the sound of the doors open. A twi'lek handler kicked her up with his boot, saying in his harsh native tongue for her to get up and start moving. Although she could not see it she knew he was armed with a proper stunner in case she got jumpy; she still had a singe mark on her shoulder to prove it. With no choice she was forced to follow as ordered.

The others in the cells were brought up into a line, all being fitted with wrist and ankle energy cuffs to keep them from running. A gungan. A human. A torgurta. Even a Jawa she'd spotted among the line up. All others like her, unlucky enough to have this happen to them. Once she was fitted, being the last in line, they were all brought to the upper levels to be shown before the buyers.

As the auctions began Sinda could sense the leader of the raiders. An overweight weequay who bellowed as he called for bids to start on the gungan. She could tell he still had it, her father's lightsaber, strapped to his belt like a prize. She may not have learned how to use the Force but if she could she have taken it back and cut him down by now. She wasn't going to let him get away with it, that was for sure.

"And now, for this fine specimen: a Miraluka girl. A fine prize for the right price." the leader began. "We'll start at 500 credits!"

[member="Vengeance"]

Marcus glanced around watching bids get tossed back and forth for various wares. Each one had it's own allure. Each one was drug out and bids were placed. Marcus for the most part was uninterested. That was until the Miraluka was forced forward to be bid on. One offered for a curiously low starting bid. As a matter of fact 500 credits for a Force Sensitive Miraluka was insulting.

"500..........."

Marcus smirked. He would let it play out. He had only met one other Miraluka and he was not nearly as lovely as this one was. Besides damaged goods always had the best potential when it came to becoming Sith. That is as long as their minds were not utterly broken. Then they were a ticking thermal detonator waiting to explode.

The voice that called out the bid had something Sinda had not sensed before. Something different. Something dark. Something cold. An uneasy feeling came over her as she could sense whoever it was that voice came from was powerful but not in the same way as her father. Was this perhaps the creatures he'd fought against for so long? Was it a Sith?

"1000." A rodian bidder called out. "I could use some blind muscle.

"1500." Now a human mercenary called. "I can use something nice to come home to after all."

The weequay leader chuckled in his throat, before glancing back at Sinda "Looks like you're getting popular, farmer's daughter." After that he turned back and said "Now calm down. Calm down! We've got 1500 credits on the table. Anyone else to bid?"

[member="Vengeance"]

Marcus listened to the other bids. It was a fun little game. He was tempted to drop an insane number just to end it right there and walk away. Our giving hope only to crush it was something he enjoyed doing.

"2000."

He would play the game for a little while. Let the hope build up. Of course it made no comment on why he was bidding on the current lot. It was none of their business. He would however step a little closer pushing through the crowd. Making his way closer to the prize with each bid.

[member="Sinda Tivan"]

Everyone again looked to the man as he made the highest bid. Both the Rodian and mercenary seemed to stand down now. Given how he pushed through the crowd and gave an ominous feeling made it clearer to all that he was walking away with the girl one way or another. The weequay leader didn't mind as long as the credits were given in full.

With a shrug he announced "Final bid at 2000 credits? No one else?" He looked around "No? Going once... Twice.... Sold! To the, eh, scary looking gentlemen."

A horrible feeling hit Sinda in the gut. Now she was bought and the property of a Sith. She felt like living in a nightmare would be heaven compared to this right now. One of the handlers brought her before the man and gave a key for her cuffs, letting him eciding when to remove them. If she had eyes they would be in terror now. Instead her bandaged head looked up, sensing the face of her 'master' looking down upon her.

[member="Vengeance"]

Marcus shook his head as his bid was not challenged. People these days rarely knew the value of anything. Marcus pushed his way forward meeting his new prize as she was brought forward. He took the key from the handler and stuck it in his pocket.

"What's her name?"

Marcus made it a point to speak to the handler and not his new prize appearance and everything. Marcus tossed a credit chip with four thousand credits on it. It was twice what the bid was but it was for very good reason. He again spoke to the handler.

"I want her cleaned up and given fresh clothes. The extra 2000 credits should cover the cost. Once that is done I will take possession of her."

[member="Sinda Tivan"]

Overhearing the questions given by the man the weequay leader went over to address him personally. Part of it was because the auction was over and all credits were earned with the proper slaves to be bought; the others to be dealt with later. The other hand of it was his curiosity in the man and why he was so interested in a girl like her. Just a blind farmer girl and nothing more; at least as far as he could see.

As he approached he chuckled at his question with "Ah. I see. She's going to be more than property to you, eh? Need to know her name to address her right, eh?" He laughed a little before answering "We never did catch it. Eh...Tivan, something or other I think." When the credit for 4000 was given it surprised the leader before he heard his demands. He nodded and told the handler to take the girl back and give her the works. As she was taken away he leaned in and added "You know this one was a lot more trouble than you'd think. I believe her father was a Jedi." Holding the lightsaber from his belt up he added "Even got this to prove it. But I don't think the little one has a lot of fight in her. So why, if you don't mind the question, do you even want her?"

As they talked Sinda was brought back down into the lower chambers. At least they were kind enough to have woman bathe and redress her as befitting for 4000 credits. A forced bath into a tub with a hose to wash her off before giving her a spare jumpsuit and that, as far as they were concerned, was fare enough.

Marcus turned and looked at the man not saying a word not even when the man showed him the saber. An object that would find itself yanked from the man's hand wwith the Force, ignited, and held barely a millimeter from the man's throat.

"And what exactly happens to people that ask questions that are none of their business?"

Marcus did not even flinch.

"Perhaps it would be much better for you if you just counted your credits, minded your own business, and went to see what is keeping me from my property."

Marcus deactivated the saber but held on to it. The weequay didn't deserve to be in possession of such a weapon anyway. Marcus sure as heck was not going to let the man keep it.

"Run along now go fetch my property before I decide you are of less use to me than you were a minute ago."

[member="Sinda Tivan"]

The sudden feeling of the saber taken from his hand made the weequay react. He stopped and his hands went up into the air as the blade was suddenly pointed at him. He froze as some of his men nearby pointed blasters at the man, ready to fire. Given his threat however made it clear that he had enough skill and power to potentially kill the men along with their leader. Playing ti smart he gestured for them to lower their weapons while trying to act casual and charming to the man.

"Hehehe. Of course, of course. I'll see how she's doing. Wouldn't want to sell you something not worth 4000 credits after all. Bad business." He then hurried to the entrance to the lower levels before, a moment later, bringing Sinda back and pushing her along to meet with the man. "Here you are. One prim and proper lady all for you. Just remember, no refunds. Hehehe." He waited until the two would be gone before saying to himself "I walk away with 4000 credits and he gets a blind girl and a fancy light sword. Man must really learn to gamble."

As she was now in the 'possession' of the Sith Sinda tried to consider her ways out of this dilemma. Part of it was sensing that her father's saber was in his grip. She made no secret that she wanted it, looking down towards it thanks to her abilities. More mental cursing of herself for not being strong enough to take it then and now.

[member="Vengeance"]

Once she was brought back to him Marcus grabbed her by one of her arms and turned towards the door. He would not saying anything until they were blocks away from the market. Then he would stop briefly turning her towards him knowing her wrists were still bound.

"Unlike your captors I know exactly what you are and I have a pretty good idea what you are capable of.................and it is much more that a blind farm girl."

He paused for a moment.

"Let's start with your name and go from there."

He pulled out the key he had been given earlier and unlocked the binders holding her. He tossed the off to the side in or on the nearest bin to them.

"I also know while your eyes do not work you are far from blind. I also know you want the saber back and are trying to figure away out of your current situation. Your emotions cascade off of you like a wave crashing against the beach. It would be in your best interest to accept your fate. The alternative will prove to be quite painful for you and believe me when I tell you I can introduce you to a level of torment you never knew existed."

[member="Sinda Tivan"]

Now away and with nowhere to truly run Sinda was at the mercy of the Sith. She kept herself as steady as she could despite his dark power resonating around her now. Clearly he was some sort of powerful class of Sith, more than she could have ever expected. She kept quiet even as he revealed he knew what she was, not being too hard to determine she figured given his powers. But then he was quick to release her as well. While she didn't want to he did free her from the slavers and now he removed the bonds that held her. At the very least he deserved to know her name.

"It's...Sinda." she answered. "Sinda Tivan."

After that she heard him speak of her emotions revealing herself and her want for the saber back. Her attention came between him at the weapon itself as he made his threat clear enough. She had no doubt he could do what he said he would to her. It was all too clear he had more than enough power to do it.

"You don't scare me." she replied, trying to keep a bold tone before him.

[member="Vengeance"]

Marcus laughed.

"You're lieing...................if I had to guess to have been afraid for most of your life. However that is not what matters........what matters is what you do with that fear."

He held up the saber.........her saber. Focusing all his strength through the Force he crushed the saber into a ball and discarded it like trash.

"My name is Vengeance and I am a Sith Lord................you want to carry a saber? Well you are going to have to earn it. That one did not belong to you."

He grabbed her by the arm again leading her as they walked towards his ship.

"If you are lucky I will teach you how to use the Force.............more specifically how to use the dark side. If not well then you remain a slave forever. Which one does not matter in the slightest to me."

[member="Sinda Tivan"]

Damn. He was seeing right through her. Sinda could feel it too. She knew she had no chance of sanding up to someone like this. Not like her father might have been able to. It wasn't helped when she could feeling him use the Force on her father's saber before it was crushed like paper. A horrified look came over her face as she followed it all the way to where it landed. Nothing but scrap. Nothing but waste now. What was it all for anymore if she couldn't even protect her father's legacy? It wasn't until the man, [member="Vengeance"] as he called himself, said she did not earn that saber did she begin to feel anger. Despite him being a Sith Lord she was furious at him for what he'd done.

"I won't be anyone's slave." she responded, trying to show she wasn't going to let him push her around.

He smiled........and then he would attempt to shove her hard spinning her around and slam her against the building in front of them with only the split second yank of her hair and face to the side to keep from smashing her face into a pulp against the wall. He would then use a combination of his arms and his body to force her against the wall like he was trying to push her through it. He would lean in to whisper in her ear.

"You are whatever I say you are and what I want you to be. Until such a time comes as you are strong enough to stop me."

Being Nar Shadaa not a single person seemed to notice what was going on. He could have done any manner of unspeakable things to her and even killed her. Not a single soul would have said or done anything. After a minute he would take a step back but the lesson was not over.

His hand would raise slightly as he focused on her through the Force. Applying equal pressure over every inch of her he would attempt to slowly crush her whole body slowly millimeter by millimeter.

He would continue to apply the pressure until either he got the compliance he wanted of she died. After all her life was currently only worth 4000 credits and that was barely his daily drinking budget.

"Now let's try this again...............what are you Sinda?"

[member="Sinda Tivan"]

It had happened so fast Sinda could never have anticipated it. Either by the Force or thanks to his own skills he pinned her hard after slamming her against the nearby wall. Her whole body felt numb before feeling the resounding following pain to come from it. She struggled even as he whispered, not wanting to give in so easily. Her weak fists beat against his arm before feeling something crushing her. The Force was being bent around her like a a vice and was crushing her body tighter and tighter. She groaned before gasping as the Darkside of the Force was used to what she could only tell was a fraction of what could be done.

When the final question came she didn't answer at first. Maybe she could try to fight against it but that was fruitless. The pain and lack of training kept her out of focus to call on the Force for help. He was willing to kill her, that was clear enough. There was little to nothing she could do but either submit or die. And she was far from letting her life end now.

"I.....I am....your...slave...." she struggled to finally admit.

[member="Vengeance"]

As if with the snap of his fingers all the crushing pressure instantly vanished.

"Good girl.................now come along...........we are running late."

He stood with his arms crossed wait for her to climb to her feet so they could continue on. In some areas he was not a man of patience and understanding. Once on her feet they would continue on towards his ship chilling on one of the many unregistered pads scattered around the planet.

As they got closer he jumped on his comm unit to single the pilot. That way the ramp would be lowering right as they got up to it.

[member="Sinda Tivan"]

Once released Sinda needed a moment to regain herself. She coughed as she felt the air return to her body, pressure finally letting go and everything starting to settle. She was still sore in her shoulder from the sudden push and she held it as she eventually picked herself up. She followed behind her new 'master' as they came to his ship. She stopped only for a moment to see how large it was, clearly whoever he was having the money to earn something like this. Finally she followed onto the ship before looking back as the ramp and door leading out closed. This was the point of no return now. Nothing to look back to, only whatever it was that lied ahead for her.

[member="Vengeance"]

Once they were on the medium sized freighter it began to take off. He lead her to the cargo bay that doubled as an armory among other things. In a back corner was the same shackles he had used to imprison a Jedi a while back.

"Let me introduce you to your new home."

He would guide her over to the shackles her back against the bulkhead. He would take each wrist and secure them in the shackles. Then he would secure her ankles.

"These were once used to hold a Jedi...........they much like your cage in the slave market to not allow the use of the Force to get out of them."

He took a step back looking her over.

"It is very simple...........you will remain here until you become more compliant. To become what you can be you must first be stripped of what you were. Be stripped of weakness, be stripped of disobedience, be stripped of fear, be stripped of compassion."

[member="Sinda Tivan"]

Once brought into the hull of the ship Sinda could see the corner with the shackles. She was obviously against going anywhere near them but knew she had no choice. There was nowhere to run or escape to and she would not get far before he used the Force to crush her again, or worse. She had to do as requested. She stood there as he secured her against the wall before explaining what was to be done with her. The talk of being tripped of weakness and the like did not settle well with her. She struggled with her binds only to see they were as strong as the ones that held her before.

"What do you want with me?" she finally blurted out, near demanding an answer.
