A Different Breed.

Rebellious Vanguard
Ventasia stood in front of the door to the training room, pausing there before getting close enough for the door to slide open. She had decided she was going to be a bit more kind for the day, or try at least. A heavy exhale came through her lips before they formed a rather mischievous smile. As she took her next step, the door slid open, revealing Jaxton within. "Hey. Guess who's back." Without a doubt, she knew full well that he was in no rush to see her, but somehow that really didn't bother her. "So, what's on the schedule for today?"

Jaxton Ravos

Mindwalker of the Outer Rim
Jaxton felt the presence of Ventasia as she neared the facility. Normally he wouldn't learn to sense the Force Signature of a specific person so quickly, but he had learned her imprint due to her, shall we say 'alternative' methods of thinking. Today however, her emotions were a bit different, a bit less cold, a little more kind. He heard the door slide and saw a mischievous, perhaps even playful smile on her face.

"Hey. Guess who's back." She said, and Jaxton returned a smile of his own. "So, what's on the schedule for today?"

"Well, I'd like you take about 4,5 minutes just dry-firing your stance, attack, and blocks, just so you get loose and a little back into the swing of things from yesterday. Once you've done that we'll set you up with the training droid and see how you do. From there it's whatever you're ready for."

Her eyes twitched slightly as Jaxton's words h8it her ears. Her hand reached up to scratch her head and as she inhaled before letting the deep breath flow from her lungs. "Nice. Kind. I have to try..no matter much this sucks.", she thought to herself, reminding her of what she had promised herself to do. It was that one day. She could this for one day. She took another deep breath into her body before positioning herself in her stance. Hen right leg slid back a bit, making sure not to put it directly behind her left to make sure she kept her balance. From her hip, she took the training saber in hand, positioning her arm behind her with the blade diagonally angle towards the ground. It was obvious to see; someone had been practicing.

Jaxton Ravos

Mindwalker of the Outer Rim
Jaxton watched as the girls eyes twitched, just barely enough for it be visible. Jaxton probably wouldn't have seen it if he wasn't doing one on one training, but he could tell from the motion that she was a bit annoyed, and trying to focus. He paid it no mind but watched as she slid her right leg back, then took her training saber to her hand and angled it diagonally to the ground, getting in a stance. Jaxton's face lit up in smile. Her footwork was still good, and the focus in her upper body had been much improved from yesterday. It was pretty easy to tell she had been practicing. Jaxton wouldn't have been surprised if she had worked a bit on her attacks or blocking, but form and stance were usually the last thing most new students practiced. She had either worked in reverse to most students and concentrated on foundation, or simply worked on everything.

"Excellent. You're a little stiff and a bit exaggerated, but you have overall your stance is remarkable. You've shown me enough in your stance, we'll start on the droid." Jaxton said and walked over to a droid and programmed it for a beginner's setting. The droid walked over to the opposite side of Ventasia and ignited a training saber.

"You score points when you hit the droid, and the droid scores when it hits you. You have three minutes, the droid will tell you when to start." Jaxton said and took a position away from the ring to watch Ventasia.

A wide grin came over Ventasia as she could seemingly do no wrong. She knew that her stance decided much about how a fight would, which is why her focus was laid there. She was seemingly joyful as Jaxton's compliments seem to never come to an end. Not the she was complaining one bit. Though her expression changed to its normal mellow form once Jaxton mentioned the droid.
This part simply irked her. She had no intention of training against a droid that had limits built in. She wanted to stand across from someone who had a mind of their own, and their own will. She scoffed at the simple mention of the anatomic training partner, but she really had no choice. Her body squared up, her arm returning to hang by her side as the droid activated its own blade. "This...is going to be such a drag."
