Darth Imperatus
Character
Melkaroth felt a sense of mild admiration as he impassively listened to the man's tirade against his people. This revelation was concerning--clearly, the One Sith had just made a treaty of friendship with an unstable government--but that could bring its own advantages. Unstable governments were more easily controlled; competing parties could be played against one another and each offered the demise of the other in exchange for their servitude. Regardless, though the Durasteel Fist, being the main manufacturer of weapons and driver of technology on the planet, was the ideal ally, there was more than one faction on Relovian, and if the worst were to happen, the One Sith could seek their fortunes with one of the others. Regardless, though Melkaroth was no politician, he decided that Bicket might yet prove to be of use, being disillusioned with his government and obviously being a figure of some importance who had, crucially, resolved to return to his planet once the time was right. Still, this was to be the concern of the Diplomatic office and OSI: he neither had nor wanted any part in this kind of scheming when so little was at stake. His task had been accomplished in the acquisition of the weapons technology and the identification of a potential ally--the rest he would leave to those who were both better qualified and more inclined to deal with it.
"Very well." said the Sith. "You may stay with us as a passenger until you reach Coruscant. Guards, escort this man to the airlock; I will arrange for a shuttle to transport him to the Iron Fist." He turned back to Bicket. "You will be granted guest quarters and passenger clearance, meaning that you may go where you will save areas of military importance. Any trouble will be reported immediately to me." While Melkaroth saw Bicket as a potential asset and therefore would not have him thrown in the brig without his personal consent, he wished to make it clear to the man that if he had any ulterior motives, he would pay for acting upon them. He was, after all, a guest upon a Star Destroyer, not a cruise liner, and he would be expected to follow regulations to the letter. Still, Melkaroth thought, Bicket seemed like the kind of man who could handle regulations--maybe even the kind of man who prized them.
