Caden realised how long it had been since he had returned to Mandalore.
He sat in the lounge of his apartment, sipping on his caff. There was something on the TV, although Caden didn't quite know what it was. He wasn't really watching it either, it was mostly just on for background noise. In the corner was his Beskar'gam, a relic from his time spent amongst the Mandalorian's. He hadn't worn the armour in years, there hadn't been a need. Despite that he'd ensured it still fit him so that he could use it if needed.
In the other corner was Chirp, powered down and charging. The droid had been of great use since his return to the Jedi Order and it was nice to give the droid some downtime to repower his batteries. The batteries which definitely were due to be replaced at some point. Caden shook his head, figuring that he would get around to that before leaving Mandalore for his next destination.
The Jedi had been paying rent on the apartment for years, despite not using it.
The story about how he acquired the apartment wasn't one he told often. It was a war story and despite it being years ago, Caden still felt slightly guilty about it. Despite everything now being legitimate and honest, despite him sending a payment to the family of those he had taken the apartment from in the first place, he still felt bad about how he had come to own the apartment. At the time it had been through need, now it was just nice to have.
Caden was waiting. He'd been in contact with a former mentor of his and they had agreed to meet. The plan was to discuss the Force, a topic Caden used to hate as a kid but was now finding he seemed to enjoy the older that he grew. Everyone had a different opinion on the Force and more often than not, both opinions were correct and incorrect in their own ways.
The young Jedi was just waiting for the man to arrive.
