A Dive into the Past

[member="Mythos"]

Evaelyn wasn't feeling helpful. It was a lose-lose situation. More work for him and more pain for Evaelyn. Why couldn't everyone just get along? The sigh told her more information than she probably would like to know. He was not happy with her answer. He was going to hurt her. Her muscles tensed, her teeth clenched; not wanting to accidentally bite off her own tongue. When she felt the lightsaber touch her, her body winced, pulling away from the tip. Evaelyn gasped sharply in expectance of the pain. He had told her there would be none at first, only cold. Then it came. From the feel of it, that would definitely leave a mark. Elyn was unaware that she was being played, illusions of the context and the elements getting the better of her. It was fortunate for her soft skin, but not so much for her otherwise so strong mind.

"Kark you" she hissed back once more, even as he threatened to destroy her and cure her over and over again. He probably could. Now the pain was fresh, it was minor. But she wasn't so sure how long she could endure being torn to pieces then put back together. Yet it was too early to break now, right? Was that not a coward's way out? Was she not stronger than this? Or was strength pointless, trapped in a situation where strength would only lead to more pain. Sadly, it was all Evaelyn knew.

It was first now she truly noticed the Tuk'ata, Groom. He looked perfectly unpleasant. Being eaten alive by a rabid Tuk'ata didn't tempt her in the slightest. But would he really kill her? She knew nothing about him, how stable he was. Her first impression of him had been being knocked out, tied up side down and poked with a lightsaber. Yeah, he could probably do it if he didn't get the information he wanted.

Evaelyn's body froze, feeling the heat of the lightsaber coming oh so close to her skin. She tried to shift forwards slowly, slightly, but not enough to cause a pendulum effect where she'd slide right back into it. She was on the cusp of even more pain. There was nothing good about this situation, and it was only just beginning. Much like Groom, Elyn too had an attitude problem. "How about you let me down? Then we'll see how tough you are, without your darts and your cords." she was practically fuming. In her mind she could take almost anyone. Almost. Perhaps not the pale one, yet. But this coward and his puppy? Sure. "Why are you here?" She threw the question right back at him in the most spiteful tone she could muster.

Mythos smiled inside his masked face, the young girl had spunk and spirit, reminded him of a upstart acolyte named Animus Malgus when he fought a young Asajj. He would not cause her to derail from that intended path but he needed an answer. He stuck the icicle again in her back, drawing lines of freezing cold but when he did, the hound Groom got up and made a dash for the girl without Mythos' order. The Tuk'ata was becoming an adult and thus gaining much more of a personality and an attitude than when he was a pup that still ripped full size humans apart... Mythos had to act fast. As the hound rumbled forward, the steel under his mighty paws began to give way, he was just too damn big now, he was, in all senses the most powerful being in this room and Mythos knew it and now he began to think it was that very timid respect that was causing the hound to act out in such a disobedient manner... He needed to save the girl and for that he needed to confront the beast.

Mythos shoved the girls' body slightly to the side and turned her around so she looked the other way while he walked calmly to put himself between the beast and the girl. He did so... confidently and without fear. "Groom..." Mythos rumbled, his hand carefully reaching for his sidearm. His hound stopped inches from his face, the steam from his jaws beating back the cowl slightly with every huff. They met eye to eye, the red glow and the brown human stare. "You eat when i say you eat and not a second sooner..." Silence... the stare down... Mythos tilted his head when he noticed that the hound wasn't backing down, he was getting an attitude but he was not about to put down his most loyal companion.

"Groom... don't forget who pulled you out of a Soddy cave in Korriban" He stated, matter-of-factly. The beast puffed, licked his face and turned back to the shadows letting his tail brush playfully against Mythos' leg. "Good boy"

Mythos let out a sharp breath. The stand off... had been more tense than he anticipated. He turned back to the girl, swirling her around once again and pacing back to her opened back. "Now, where were we?"

The stand off, Mythos hoped, would indicate to her that indeed he was the only thing standing between her and becoming Tuk'ata chow and now Mythos himself realized that fact was a lot more real than a threat to intimidate her... it was very real.
"I suppose i will start..." The purple lightsaber once again came to rest very close to her face but his dexterous arm would not let it touch her, only sizzle the top layer of her skin. "I am here looking for something that belongs to me... as for letting you down i will, afterwords if you wan't to get officially beaten down in honorable combat I suppose I could break a few of your bones... but for now..."

Mythos raised the purple blade again to her back, this time actually letting it slightly skim the earlobe of her right ear.

"I will ask again... why are you here...."

Evaelyn winced again when he stuck her bare back again. For a moment, she wondered when the real pain of the burns would set in. She was quickly distracted from that, however, as the large Tuk'ata charged her. Definitely not good. It looked at her like a fresh meal, nicely presented hanging upside down from the roof. If not for the man having different plans, she probably would be feeling sharp teeth rip apart tendons and flesh.

Having her back turned to the unfolding scene didn't help much. She couldn't see who was in control. If the Tuk'ata ignored its master she would never see it, no warning before the clash of teeth and skin. For a moment it sounded like Groom would do as he pleased. Luckily for her, she could finally breathe out a deep sigh of relief after hearing the 'Good boy' remark. That had been close. "Ever thought of getting your beast trained? Next time you might lose a hand" she tried to say nonchalantly, to cover up any sign of her having been shaken in any way by the incident.

The blue-haired girl was spun around once more. No, he wasn't done with her. He was going to cause her more pain. What he would do once he got the answers he wanted was anyone's guess. Would he kill her? She doubted he'd reimburse her for her torn up shirt laying on the ground, and be on his merry way. Where were we? "You were about to let me down" she said in a challenging tone. On her feet, armed, she was eager to charge at him. Tuk'ata or no, she was convinced he'd go down. If it was her end, at least it was a more worthy end than a simple execution.

She gasped and gritted her teeth as she could feel the lightsaber much closer to her face than what she was comfortable with. Elyn could practically feel it giving her a nice tan. The position was uncomfortable but at least not excruciatingly painful. And she was getting some answers too, although they didn't tell her much. Suppose it wasn't a surprise. The fact that he had given him anything to work with at all was bonus.

"What are you looking for?" she was curious. "And you will break nothing." Elyn sneered. She was the one who would be doing the breaking, she was convinced. Once more Elyn let out a pained gasp as the blade scorched skin. The feeling felt more intense than it had before. What harm would there be in giving him some answers? What answers could she give? Woul they satisfy in any way? She was just like him, scavenging lost secrets for personal gain.

"I'm just visiting. I've heard abandoned Sith temples are nice this time of year." her voice tried to mask the effects the torture and nearly becoming dog food. Though it had been a dry and sarcastic joke, at least she seemed more willing to talk now. Who knows, if he asked the right questions he might even get the answers he wanted.

Mythos smiled, he believed her. It was not a mission, she was here of her own will she was not sent here by her master or by the order or by any faction tied to the one sith. Her lightsaber shut off slowly as he paced next to her and stuffed the sweet flavored icicle pop in her mouth. A show that she was never in any danger or in any harm. "Was that so hard?" Mythos said, walking by a metallic chair and dragging it next to her. He still could not release her but he was intending to figure out if he could. He still desired to know more, if she was here it was not just to explore, she did not look like an explorer or an archaeologist... how did he know? She did not bring any proper equipment to record and analyze anything. It was a bit obvious she was here searching for something powerful...

"I Hate torture... I hate it more than I hate the smell of cortosis mines... as for Groom He is trained, and i will have you know Groom there..." Mythos looked over to the red blazing eyes of Groom still piercing the darkness and paused to imagine the scenario of him deciding he no longer needed his master. He shuddered at the thought. "Has killed better fighters than you" Mythos stated, no malice or mockery in his tone, just a fact. "I saw how you handle the force" He nodded while closing in on her face, shadow of the room hiding his eyes. "Young, brash... you have much to learn... he has eaten Knights, who would have sensed that dart" He pointed to where he stood when he fired the poisoned tipped arrow, paused and then turned back to her. "Even before it left the shaft of my bow"

Mythos pulled a Valkyr knife from his boot and a wheat stone and settled back into the chair then began to sharpen the blade. Rhythmically and patiently while he mulled over his thoughts. He thought of what to ask next. He thought of what he needed to know. First, he thought he would answer her question first. There would be no harm in it. Or so he thought.

"I look for a stone slab, archaeological in nature, found in Korriban... i know of everything in this temple and i could point you in the right direction if not outright draw a force damn map to whatever it is you are looking for..." He stopped sharpening the blade and snapped his eyes to her through the darkness. "But you have to tell me what it is you are looking for young lady... I'm no telepath or mind reader... to put it frankly I'm now your only hope of leaving here alive and finding what you seek..."

Evaelyn wanted to breathe a sigh of relief when the lightsaber was shut off, but she held it in. She didn't feel like giving him any extra satisfaction. Her eyes grew a little wider in surprise as he stuck the icicle into her mouth. Was that the thing he had been poking her with before? While she appreciated how this meant her back wasn't covered in burn marks, she still did not like being played like that. Her eyes narrowed and gave him a scornful look. The only reply he got was her spitting the icicle out. It tasted good, but she was making a point damnit.

Fortunately for her, it appeared he hated torture. She took that to be mean she would not be experiencing anything worse than what she already had, which was good. But that didn't mean he was opposed to killing. He was clearly a trained warrior. He could move in the shadows and strike without a sound made. Elyn could easily imagine the man being some sort of assassin. He had to be good at sneaking if he intended to steal from the Sith. Though maybe, like her, he thought that no one would notice what was taken from this place.

"Don't underestimate me" she called back, not quite ready to be dismissed in favour of his puppy. True, she was but an apprentice in the craft that was the Force, but she was getting there. And when she did... No amount of puppies nor soundless men would stand in her way. Elyn looked him over as he sat in the chair in front of him, sharpening his blade. "So, what now? You gonna try to kill me? If so, the least you could do is tell me your name" Something, someone to hunt when all of this was over, provided she couldn't tie up loose ends down here first.

She had heard nothing of what he was looking for, but if it was powerful and from Korriban... Well, chances were she wanted it too. Her upside-down shoulders shrugged. "Nothing. Everything. Anything useful and of note. There's no telling what treasures abandoned Sith temples can hold." she replied, honestly. They were likely here on the same mission. Would he think of her now as a rival, or potential ally? Though it didn't seem like he had any need for the latter... "I've heard legends of an axe..." It was a little risky to tell him that. What if he hadn't heard of it, and now would want to claim it for himself? Or perhaps he had no interest in such things, and could aid it landing in her possession.

"I don't underestimate you young lady, that is the main reason why you are tied up, upside down" Mythos stated with a smile, a bit of humor to lighten the otherwise, too tense mood. "well that and you look good in knots" He added with a wink and smirk, never without his wit and charm, dry and bad as it may have been.

His smile only widened when she asked him for his name, that was not going to happen, not the truth at least but he pondered if to even lie to her about it, what good was it to give her a fake name she could then ponder about and lead into dead ends, he decided to be blunt and to check out her pretty axe, a weapon for a warrior not an assassin. This girl just kept getting complicated in his eyes, Groom on the other hand was getting bored and decided to stroll about the temple and bring back whatever he could find. He was getting a bit hungry too... the hound was never pleasant when hungry... "You are not getting my name, you haven't earned it yet...maybe one day" he said dryly, his smirk behind the cloth reminded him that was perhaps not a possibility...

He listened quietly nodded when she spoke of temples and then the silence went black and gray when she mentioned an axe... Mythos' mind went into a very curious place. If she knew of the axe, she knew of him... Mythos said nothing, he stared at her for the longest time then got up and left.

He was out for a few minutes, he feared not if she escaped, he knew what he was looking for and it wasn't too far away... a hologram of himself in the glory days. In the next room, when he picked it up, he saw clearly himself in Thracior, the axe over his head. He took the holopad with the image, walked to the room with the girl upside down, and threw it at her face so that she could see the still, but, three dimensional image of... what he used to be... The axe of power over his head while bodies and graves sorrounded him.

"Is that... what you seek...?"

He had a point. Evaelyn had to chuckle. The man had been very careful in his approach to take her down. There had been no arrogance, just a lethal efficiency. It was fortunate for her his intent had not been to kill. "Don't get any ideas" she returned and gave him a look. Sure, she was in a precarious position, but she wasn't defenceless. Okay she was totally defenceless, but she tried to act as if there was an ace up her sleeve. Though come to think of it, he had deprived her of sleeves too...

"Don't get too comfortable with that" she remarked in a sharp tone when he was examining her phrik-coated axe.

The hound left to do other things, and there would be no complaints from Evaelyn. "Fine, be that way" she said, rolling her eyes as he refused to give her a name. It was smart though. No name meant she had only a face to hunt down, and that was much harder.

There was something different in his expression, but Elyn couldn't tell why. Then he suddenly left. That was not fun. Not because she was particularly fond of his company, he had after all been pretending to torture her. Though with her tied up like this there was the worry at the back of her mind that he'd just leave her like this. Would she ever get out? Would she stay like this until she died of thirst? The time he was away wasn't spent idle, however. She did a stomach crunch to lift her head closer to her legs, her hands trying to get a grip of the wires and pull them free. She was doing everything, just anything that could help her get free.

Of course he came back, and she dropped down to pretend like nothing, although there was a chance he had seen her. "Wha-?" she asked with a confused look as he showed her the image. What was she looking at? A man... Was it him? Younger. On a battlefield. With an axe.... Wait, THE axe? "You had it?!" she asked, eyes lit with curiosity and a rampage of questions. "Where is it now? How did you get it?" she still hadn't connected the dots that this was Mythos. She assumed he had scavenged it already. Perhaps the first time he had come here?

It was a s simple as dangling a juicy piece of meat in the eyes of a hungry predator... he could relate, he was a predator like that once now he sought something entirely different. He sought to be a master, a true master, a legendary one who would master his body and mind without the force so when he had it he did not have to rely on it like he used to. If anything... it would make him a force of nature in combat which is everything he sought to become. "Me? No, but, i knew the dead man who it belonged to and i know where he stashed the thing before he died... question is" Mythos said while he took his seat before he once again and clicked his dagger on the metallic surface of the side of the chair.

"What... do you have to offer?... like i said, i could point you directly at anything this temple could have that you are interested in, i have seen the galaxy from point to point, i know most things... knowledge is my greatest weapon..."

In an instant Mythos drew his pistol, a red thing, he had never fired it before but he had seen how this weapon had killed a man who was testing it, after a few shots the energy power cell overloaded killing him but not in the first shot. Thus, it was scrapped, deemed too unstable to mass or minor produce, the weapon was then stashed, Mythos had collected it in the armory... it was one of the two things he intended to pick up while here.

The weapon surged, charging power inside itself, a red light ignited inside of it's chamber while Mythos held down the trigger... in truth this is the most fear Mythos had felt in a long time but he needed to test it out himself... it went off, a line of red blazing energy shot above the feet of his dangling prisoner dropping her to the floor. Once on the floor she would be able to free herself, Groom came to the room, curious about what was happening.

"Kill me and you will never know where it is, i have no use for it and the original owner most definitely does't either... the Mad king is dead... I alone in the universe know where he hid his treasures..." Mythos stated, while tossing her lightsaber next to her and awaiting her reaction. If she was smart, she would offer something in return or at least not lunge at him burying the secret of the axe forever...

[member="Mythos"]

"You knew Mythos?" she asked. She didn't really know much about him, other than that he had been a Sith, had been Ophidia's apprentice and that he had built this temple. Ophidia had always been cold and elusive when his name was brought up. But if this was true... It was highly interesting. He knew of the axe. It was real. More importantly, he knew where it was. And he was considering helping her find it? Interesting... But he wanted something in return. What could she possibly offer him? She knew nothing of his motivations, what drove him, what he sought. Evaelyn needed to dig.

"What do you want?" she asked, examining him as best as she could from her upside down position. "What is that you seek?" she asked, trying to get more information. Surely there had to be something. Right now there wasn't a ton she could think of.

When he quickly pulled the gun her reaction was to flinch slightly, expecting him to fire at her. She knew that was highly unlikely however, considering he had entered into negotiation mode. Killing her now made less sense after that speech. But who knew. Weird people were out there. Fortunately for her it was not her final moment, but rather final moment of the cord holding her floating above ground level.

With a thud the blue-haired woman landed. Her legs, her hands were still tied. It would appear the man standing above her had helped her as much as he was going to. Did he enjoy this? She squirmed on the ground for a moment, as she brought her legs up to her back where her hands were tied. Another moment longer and the knot around her leg was opened and they were free. Evaelyn got up to her feet while she continued to work on the one around her arms and wrist, but it was naturally a trickier thing.

"You two must have been close" she commented. Her tone was calm, despite a little heavy breathing leftover from when he had almost shot her, and the subsequent getting out of her knots. Yet she did not speak with the tone of someone about to strike. "Lovers?" she asked with the hint of a smirk. It would explain why this Mythos had confided in no one but the man in front of her now...

The name was... something lost about now, no one called him by that name anymore, it sounded strange to even hear it even in third person. He merely nodded in agreement, looking off yet with a pistol under his cloak aimed at his guest. "Aye, i did" The Valkyr accent rubbing off on him, even colloquial words like 'aye' that he never said before. "I must warn you.... the weapon you seek is like none other in the galaxy, it will make you more powerful than anyone you fight against but at a cost... your sanity... i saw that weapon take more that it gave to the Mad King..."

He narrowed his eyes thinking of the truth of his words, his head almost throbbing in memory of the weapons abilities. The axe was a powerful weapon, in battle and in the force acting as an amplifier to the dark side of the force but also throwing its user into madness... Mythos thought it wise to warn the girl of it before he lead her to it... It saved the little bit of conscience he still had left.

She asked him a question, he shrugged again. "The Galaxy" He said, smiling beneath his clothed face, eyes mesmerized by her blue hair and red face from the effort of bonds. A chuckle escaped his lips when she insinuated he was a lover of himself, well, she wasn't wrong.

"My tastes are blue i'm afraid...The Mad King is dead, no one loved him, no one misses him, no one even made a funeral for his death to my knowledge..." He pointed the Valkyr steel knife at the young lady and narrowed his eyes, Groom peaking from his shoulder. "That is your advantage, i alone, remember him... i alone know his secrets and I know precisely where the weapon you seek is..."

He threw her lightsaber and Axe to her feet then threw himself back in confident splendor, a smirk beneath his clothed face while he petted his sith hound. "Help me find the star forge.... the slab and regain what i lost... " His eyes narrowed at that last statement, almost wishing he could pull it back into his mouth but then continued. "And i will take you to where the Mad King left all his treasure and the Axe..."

"That sounds good. If it was like any other weapon in the galaxy, there would be no point in seeking it, would there" she said with a smirk. This conversation was going places, she felt like. She didn't really heed his warning at all. Lose her sanity? Over an axe. I think not. "Any chance your mad king got mad with power and whatever else is in the Sith diet? I can take care of myself" she said confidently.

She couldn't help but roll her eyes when he said he wanted the galaxy though. Like so many others. Her father being Kaine Zambrano, she wasn't unfamiliar with men with that kind of ambition. My tastes are blue. Maybe she could sell him her hair. On second thought... Better not. The way he spoke about Mythos seemed strange though. Like he knew him intimately, like a brother perhaps, more than a lover. Or perhaps it had been a lover. If she hadn't known that Mythos was dead, she might've thought that this was Mythos himself.

Her struggle to break free of her bonds had probably provided him with more visual entertainment than she had intended. Finally reunited with her axe and lightsaber she made quick work of whatever remained of them, and got back up to her feet. "Maybe only you know. Maybe you want to make yourself more valuable than you really are." she shrugged, her tone seemingly detached from any emotion. "Star forge? What's that" This was news to her. Sounded like a myth. Sounded like they'd be chasing dreams and she would never get that axe.

As she freed herself of her bonds he bit his tongue to compose himself, her body was undeniably beautiful and being a man of weak spirit when it came to women, Mythos had but one question to ask. "How old are you young lady?"

"To be honest i know very little about it, other than it belonged to the most powerful sith lord in One Sith archives... there is not one star forge rather many across the galaxy, most destroyed by time or war... One of them still stands to my knowledge. I intend to find it and use it my personal base of power." He stood from the metallic chair, cross his arms over his chest confidently and stood inches from the young lady, his eyes now visible and clear to her for the first time... perhaps a very bad idea for someone who wished to keep a secret identity. "The mad king was mad with power like any other sith but he was an Honorable man... a man who would never strike you in the back, a man who would never kill innocent women and children... yet the axe made him blind in that sense... " Mythos' voice trailed off, realizing his own faults as he spoke. "He grounded Chazwa almost singlehandedly, thousands upon thousands dead... just for victory..."

The image of bodies, mounds of corpses piled upon one another... His weary eyes lessened in ferocity. "It wasn't entirely the axe but it had something to do, it also gave him massive headaches, flashbacks, visions, sometimes in the middle of battle..." He managed a smile and nodded. "You can imagine how undesirable that can be"

"In this temple there is a slab, old of korriban... I need to find it... come, there are things you must see." He turned his back on her, with no fear, mainly because he had five hundred pounds of sith hound on his side... He knew now for a fact, that hound was the most powerful being in the room. Also the most moody. As he walked Groom had found prey in the shape of a large lizard he chased around and tormented before he killed, poisonous thing, yet impervious to the acid spit of the beat Goom was entertaining himself.

Mythos made his way to the next chamber, a room of ancient relics, books and exotic plants... some deadly, some just rare. "This is the arboreum, you will find unique Sith tomes of alchemy, sorcery and history here that do not exist outside the most guarded temples of the order. The mad king was smart enough to hide them within the trees and forest he created" Mythos said, looking around the massive room. A man made forest. "He made it so that nature itself served as a security protocol... but if you look closely" He said, while cutting down an overgrown vine revealing a small dirt path hidden to the side of a large tree. "There is a path to wisdom.... somewhere here is the slab.... "

He looked at the girl, not sure if to trust her, but he decided upon giving her the chance. She seemed unstable, brash, uncontrollable and reckless... reminded him of a certain someone. Had he known this was the daughter of Kaine Zambrano, he would already be machinating a plot to put a certain alchemical dagger from one [member="Sage Bane"] on his back as soon as Nabooianly possible... all in good time. "Watch your step, nature can kill you faster than i can" He said, throwing a wink while he lead the way.

"Eighteen" she replied with a bit of scepticism. Her eyes narrowed slightly. Who was he calling 'young lady'? Was he really that much older than her? He didn't look it, she thought. "And you?" she threw his question back at him. She wasn't truly sure if she cared or not, but information was information.

"Uh huh" her scepticism had not gone away as he started talking about the star forges. "Do you have a map or something? Anything to go on?" or was he shooting blind in the dark? "What will you do with it if you find it?" came another question. She didn't really know what these star forges were about or what they did, so it was more a question of its functionality. She expected he'd want to exploit it to its maximum capacity.

Even when he rose to his full size, inches away from herself, Evaelyn did not flinch. She was stubborn, wild, and unafraid. Every moment of her life she spent ready for a fight, and this was no different. She did not scare easily, which had often left her with many a busted lip. More often than not, however, it was the other guy that got thrashed. So she stood firm and looked up into the stranger's eyes, the fire still burning fiercely behind her own.

She grew silent, allowing him to speak freely about the axe. She had never considered the weapon came with an actual curse. Well that was inconvenient. "Is there any way to suppress it? Avoid it?" she asked. If there was a way she would find it, and no matter the task she would complete it. "And sure Mythos wasn't just growing crazy on his own, and the axe became a convenient scapegoat?" maybe if he truly was his lover or something he needed to excuse the man from any fault of his own. No matter how dangerous he made the axe sound, there was always this part of Evaelyn that made her feel like she could overcome it. She could be stronger.

"Alright" she said, resisting the urge to roll her eyes. For a moment she felt like some Sith apprentice, following her tutor down the halls. But that was not the nature of their relationship. She wasn't really sure what that nature was, specifically. Was she his prisoner without bonds? Uneasy ally? Time would show. As long as Groom didn't bite off her face, she'd be satisfied with their arrangement.

Evaelyn didn't draw any of her weapons but followed in step with the man, coming up on his left side. Coming into the arboreum she walked slowly with fascinated eyes scanning the walls. "You sure know alot about this place" she muttered without making eye-contact. She wasn't complaining though. Having a guide with her to a place like this was helpful, especially as she followed the man into a secret passage. The best kind of loot was often found at the end of secret passages. That or deadly traps.

She looked over to him, catching his wink after the last comment. "You're right." she said, pausing for effect. "You're kind of slow" Zing

Her age was comforting, even Mythos would never touch a younger woman, age of marriage in Naboo was exactly that, eighteen. Pleased he answered back. "Would't you like to know?" A hint of playful arrogance behind his words, older by much but not really mature in the sense of social interactions. "He was insane by one part, but cursed by an other with the axe. Make no mistake, the Mad King was Mad... with or without the axe"

"I know about this place because i helped build it, i knew him, he trusted me as one of his soldiers before he went sithspit crazy with power and hungered for glory and power before anything else." Mythos said, a elaborate lie yet half true.

As they traveled off the beaten path he had to hide a chuckle at her remarks. She was right, he was much slower than he was back when he had his powers... he was fast, could sense danger before it came... used the force almost constantly in an endless bid to train day in and day out. Now he had to resort to mundane methods like technology to fight toe to toe against force users. As her words left her mouth Mythos opened his palm aimed at the bar of tree they were passing, and the hidden blade of the Sith Assassins shot out, skewering a Swamp Crawler to the wood bark inches from her face. "Not so slow... that's a Swamp Crawler, if it stung you i would have six hours to pry the poison from you while you endured excruciating pain... you would't die if i failed." He said casually as he took the lead through the path. "Just lose your eyesight... watch your surroundings young one"

They walked for about half an hour in the dense woods, until they reached a familiar crossroads identified with a large pink bulb from the outer rim. "This is a Magnita, wildflower of the outer rim, native to Mustafarian depths... no sudden movements." He walked intensely slow, every movement of his body deliberate. As he approached the pink bulb opened up and a massive, fanged carnivorous plant raised itself from the bulb and began coiling around Mythos. He did not flinch, he did not even slow down as he walked around it and behind the plant. . Once safely within arms reach of the little burrow of the large tree, he gestured for the girl to follow. Behind the massive plant, was a door inside the tree with a small cobble. This was one of the secret stashes of books inside the Arboreum. He only hoped the Slab was here... and that the girl did not get eaten by a gigantic plant.

Evaelyn sighed and rolled her eyes. It was not a gesture she found herself doing often. She was usually more straight to the point, but right now it wasn't like she could just punch his nose in. She still wanted what he could offer. Unless of course he was stringing her along. Then she'd gladly punch his nose in and then some. "Why do I tell you anything" she muttered in frustration. Elyn made a mental note of being more elusive next time he asked him a question.

The man said the Mad King was mad with or without the axe. Then perhaps it was the axe that brought out his madness? Evaelyn felt relatively sane, as much as one could be being the daughter of Kaine Zambrano.

So he helped Mythos build it? Interesting. Having no reason yet to suspect Mythos was alive or this man was Mythos, she accepted the story he gave her. "That much trust between a Sith and a common soldier?" she asked, paused, then gave him a smirk. "Yup. Definitely lovers."

Suddenly stuff happened around her, and Blue froze. Her hand was already gripping the hilt of her lightsaber, ready to strike. Fortunately for her he had dealt with the problem for her. Nature was that fast, huh. Kark. "I'll keep an eye out" she said, trying to mask the hint of frustration over the fact that she hadn't caught that thing herself. She didn't like being dependent on others for survival. "And stop calling me that" Young one. It made her feel like one of those brown-robed Padadumbs.

The walk was long. But the guy seemed to know what he was doing, so the now lightly dressed Epicanthix-Vahla hybrid followed. If he could conjure up a shirt for her as well, she thought, that'd be grand. He did owe her one after what he did to the first. Again she froze up when they came across this Magnita thing. Another thing she had never heard of that could probably also kill her in an instant. Fantastic.

Her eyes widened, seeing the plant beginning to coil itself around him. He knew what he was doing, however, and got past without trouble. Taking a deep breath she would do the same and mimic his movements, or at the very least try. She'd rather not become plant food, at least not today. She'd move closer and closer towards the door

"Because you know i'm devilishly handsome beneath this mask, That's why" He said matter of factly in response. The arboreum was home to many devils in disguise, "The devil is in the details" was nevermore true than here inside this engineered jungle hell hole. Many had been sent here to die because few if any beings in the galaxy could survive this environment. "I already told you" He said, while raising his eyebrow beneath the mask, a visible thing from the eye-holes. "My tastes are blue, now be careful"

Mythos could have said that it was true and thereby gave the girl one strong story as to why he had such connections with himself as passing by a normal sith solider however Mythos was also hoping to bed the epicanthrix and as such wanted to maintain his image of being approachable in such a way, being the way that he was raised that was achieved by looking and acting like stereotypical male in such regards. He was honest when he said blue as in his taste, Chiss, for a fact as not to lie... but it was also referring to her hair in an obvious undertone.

She could kill him... with words...

As the scantly clad lady shimmied her way to him Mythos overlooked what he had found, the sith scrolls and tablets he had uncovered were not what he was looking for however they did indicate a ritual he was interested in as well as containing some very important details of sith history he would also need to find the star forges. He knew by the second he started rummaging through the cobble that what he sought was not here...

Her movements mimicked his own and as it grew harder to keep his eyes of the failing top he also noticed that the poison tipped branch of Magnita used to incapacitate pray began to move closer. His fists clenched and muscles tightened in an instant but he power walked almost calmly. "Magnitas are carnivorous, they incapacitate pray with this stinger." He said as he slammed his boot down the middle of the root and grabbed the other with his left hand. This action caused the plant to shift focus entirely putting the girl out of harms way for now. "They are also incredibly hard to predict because they are so rare" He said, while pulling the rudis of the darklord, an item which would reveal his identity if noticed and sliced the stinger off. The plant then lunged in pain to chomped at him, but he was rolling out of harms way through dirt as it ripped through bark and grass. As Mythos rose to his feet he had a plan in mind, using his momentum from the roll, drawing his composite bow to take down the beast and aiming... he could use some help...but he was confident in his abilities to kill the plant.

"We don't it would act because this is the only one of it's kind left..." Mythos whispered...more to himself than top the girl.

Arrow notched, Bow strung, aiming systems locked... One shot at killing it...or becoming Magnita food.
