A Duel of Beginners

The child's blunder was to rest. Oodar would crash forward towards him, enhancing his speed with the force, his lightsaber in a Shii-Cho position. When he was in range, Oodar would preform a falling avalanche hoping to wound or at least scare off the padawan. ''Return back to whence you came child'' Oodar said briefly looking at the still open ship from where the child came from. Either one could escape there, getting the ship ready in time was the problem. [member="Jenson Koraz"]

As soon as the creature started moving, Jenson was ready. Still, the creature's speed was surprising and Jenson barely had enough time to stand up and get his blade into position to stop the attack. The strike was powerful, but Jenson's Soresu training had prepared him for these kinds of situations. He took the overhand strike on his blade, and used the spare moment to shift out of the way, allowing the strike to fall past him.

"I do not seek combat!" he cried, backing away and assuming a defensive posture, "Take the ship and leave this place! I will not stop you! Leave me to my exile!"

The words were sincere. Jenson did not want to board the ship. If the creature broke contact and went for the ship, Jenson would not stop him. He only wanted time. Time to purge himself of the darkness. When he was ready to leave Tython, the Force would guide the way.

Oodar was finished with this foolishness. He snarled and motioned for the padawan to take the ship and leave. He had more important matters to attend to and fighting a child was not one of them. ''Leave before I change my mind''

"I will not leave Tython," Jenson said, deactivating his lightsaber and hanging it on his belt, "But I will no longer fight this pointless engagement." With that, Jenson drew on his last resources of Force energy and fled the hangar.
