A faulty saleswoman, (Maja Vern)

Alexandra laughed as the woman asked her question and motioned with her head to the left. "Head south, we shouldn't be much further from the compound and don't worry about slowing down, people know how fast i like to travel so theres no worry on being shot at for speeding towards it." She leaned back in the seat next to Eve, grinning at the woman that was driving as if she had found someone who actually knew how to have a good time.

Maja pushed the throttle that little bit harder. She wasn't reckless - years of moving expensive vehicles that any damages would have been docked from her wages meant she knew how to be careful. But now was the first time she'd been able to open up the throttle. Of course, if you ignored that time she'd stolen a speeder from a Hutt on Tatooine. Of course that didn't end well for the speeder - or those buildings...but that was years ago. Well, at least six months.

So she enjoyed the freedom whilst every minute pushing herself a little more, performing the occasional trick when clear of the trees.

She was slightly disconcerted at the mention of people shooting at them - that was of course how it started at Mos Espa - but she put such thoughts out of her mind and instead just enjoyed the wind in her hair.

She sensed rather than saw something up ahead and wondered if this was the temple Alexandra mentioned.

Maja had something of a premonition - well that may have been overstating it - but she went from impatience at the time it was taking to get to where Alexandra wanted to go, to a sense of never wanting the journey to end.

"Tell me about the Force again. About what's different between Jedi and the Sith and what's inbetween, And how will I know what's right for me? And what if I choose wrong?"

"Wrong and right are subjective, they are things that only your mind can tell you which is which. The difference between the two are several things, Sith Rule themselves, Jedi rule through others, Sith are blunt, Jedi are Subtle, Sith are dangerous, Jedi are tricky. That is the difference, only their methods are different. They will always cause death though to remove the other. As for knowing if light or dark is the path for you, that is what i plan to help you find out... theres the compound." She nodded up ahead to the low wall and the droids scouring over the area. "I like my security."

Maja was excited about the compound ahead but the train of conversation was equally as compelling. "So what about silver and grey Jedi? Are they about a specific belief system or are they just somewhere on a continuum between the light and the dark?" She was aware she'd given Alexandra two choices and the answer might be neither. "Or is it something else - something I haven't understood?"

"True grey Jedi, not the kind you will probably meet more often than not at the temple, are a very difficult thing to understand. Each one is Grey for a different reason, some that have morals but still want power, some drowning in their emotions, but neither light nor dark emotions greater than the other. I have walked the line that makes the grey... themselves... that line between light and dark is a fine line that many underestimate. As for the Silver Jedi, they are just Jedi under a different name, i swear on no orther thing by that i have just said, the Silver Jedi are simply Jedi that have seen that their order is beyond corruption and left it."

Maja considered Alexandra's words. She seemed to wordly-wise. Maja considered herself street-wise but that was a different thing altogether. This...Force User....Maja wasn't sure what to call her other than Alexandra...was honest and open and if she read it right, was less than positive about the Silver Jedi.

"Is there a way of telling them apart? I mean, I don't expect they have badges on or anything? And...and how would you describe yourself? A Force User?"

Her curiosity was working overtime now. A short while ago, Jedi were just stories. Now she needed to be able to tell one group from another. And self-preservation was always high on Maja's list.

Alexandra pointed to a clearing before speaking. "Land there, inside the compound. Now onto your question, the simplest way to tell someone's affiliation is by the presence they leave in the force, their Aura so to speak. Once you can see a aura, then you can make a deduction on the path at which the force user has taken. For example, a darksided aura would make you assume the path of a Sith. While someone who was lightsided would make you think Jedi and those inbetween, greys or rogues... then you have the anomalies, something like me. If you could look on my aura you would see a light sided woman that does not fit into the fact of what i have just told you, infact i dont think i will ever do much for the jedi in my future. That is why you must also watch their emotions, and what they do. Determine their path.

"At least the Sith seem honest - if that makes sense."

Maja landed where Alexandra requested, making sure the speeder was unscathed.

"But why do I get the feeling that seeing auras isn't as simple as looking at a name badge!"

Maja wondered what sort of world she'd let herself be drawn into. Being a Force User in a land of non-Force Users sounded cool - powerful. But amongst those with greater knowledge, let alone natural aptitude, she suddenly felt exactly what she was - a young girl who knew nothing.

"Because it isnt and it takes more concentration than most people have to do it to such a point that you can pierce a veil that someone might throw upon their aura, seeing the force is hard but breaking through a barrier created by a person is even harder." She slid out of the land speeder and stretched while Eve went off to handle business of her own. "Welcome to my home and the temple itself."

Maja nodded at Alexandra's response. It was her, 'I'm not entirely sure I understand but I don't want to appear stupid by asking again' nod.

She got the part that it was tough though. She said goodbye to Eve and, for the first time since she'd got here, she looked around.

Her eyes took in as much as she could without blinking - as if closing her eyes would break the spell. Alexandra's home was beautiful. She didn't know why she called it a temple though, although there were intricate patterns on the durasteel walls.

"This is your home?" The sound of incredulity was apparent on Maja's voice. "The Sith must pay well."

"I run a company, order, do archaelogical digs, find old relics and sell them, and hire out my services to anyone that will pay well. Its not just the Sith's paycheck that made this, infact this was made before i took up service for them. No no no, this is simply hard work at its best. Follow me up to the roof." She made for a set of stairs that would circle along the outside of the building and lead up to the place at which she had indicated. Though the trip would take a minute or two.

Maja sighed. She'd 'run a company and even found and sold some old relics but all she had to show for it was the clothes she stood up in. She started laughing as she thought about the artifact she tried to sell to Alexandra.

Not sure how the silver-haired woman would react tho this, she quickly turned it into a cough.

This was the life that Maja aspired to and - she figured - if she stuck with Alexandra, it could just happen. So she followed her up the stairs, still drinking in the sights.

"Whats funny?" She turned her head and riased a brow as she looked at the woman, walking without looking as the stairs circled the building and led up to a garden that the moment you stepped into it you would feel immensely calmer and peaceful. It was this garden that had been the lightside nexus created by the order all those days ago. And in the middle was the tree that she so loved and soon came to stand under it as she breathed in. This tree was the center of the nexus and the thing from which embodied it. "This, is the garden that you will find me in when i am here and not in my workshop."

"Nothing's actually funny. It's just when you mentioned ancient artefacts and I remembered how we met. That's all. Not funny. Not at all."

Maja had a sharp intake of breath once she saw the garden. It was, without a doubt, the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen. "I can see why you'd spend so much time here. If this was mine, I'd never leave it."

"Im sorry, you misunderstand. This is yours in a way, this garden is for anyone to come and relax and meditate in, a place that is more than just here for decoration of this place. Take a seat and breath in, do you feel anything different about it?"

Maja struggled with the concept of sharing or joint-ownership. She saw things a little more black and white - like eating or starving, owning or not owning.

But she was slowly adjusting to this new view of the world. It would take time - but she was not, in her heart, bad - she'd just never had anyone show her the difference between right and wrong.

She listed to Alexandra's words. Sure the garden felt different - she'd never been anywhere like this. But she did as suggested and sat. And then she closed her eyes. The area did feel different. Calm, good. She couldn't put the right words together to describe it but these were as close as she could get.

"It feels special. Like a place if you rested here no harm would come to you." She wrinkled her nose. "I know it's a goofy description but I can't find the words. It just feels...well, special. Restful..." She kept her eyes closed and drunk in the aura.

"Peaceful? Its because of the nexus that is created in this place, it allows for you to immerse yourself in it and understand the force around you more easily... do you want to see something interesting?" She looked at the woman and sat down, motioning for her to sit right infront of alex, who's aura was already branching out around her if the woman could see it. She wanted to show Maja what exactly it was she was going to teach maja, show her what exactly it was that she could show her. "Please if you would come sit so i can."

Maja's natural cynicism was currently held in check. At this point Alexandra could have asked her to do anything and she would. What a difference a few hours made.

As requested, Maja sat directly in front of Alexandra. She was a little cautious as she remembered the last time she was shown the Force - and the images were still fresh in her memory. She may have been wary, but her trust was unwavering and she relaxed, wondering what she would be shown this time.

"I'm ready."

"Close your eyes and clear your mind, im going to let you see with my eyes so to speak, transfer the memories of what i feel and see to you. My reason is i wish to show you simply what i can see after my training, and what you will learn to do before actually learning any powers themselves... nod when you are ready and close your eyes." Alexandra's own eyes shifted and appeared to change for half a second before she smiled and waited.
