A graveyard of the darkest Sith Lords…

Maja had an enjoyable time. This was long overdue she mused and as long as they were mutually benefiting from it and no promises were made or accepted, there was no harm in it.

This was a distraction from her true vocation. A very welcome one, but a distraction none the less.

“The funny thing is,” she smiled as she said it, lying there looking at the ceiling, “Despite my gift for Farseeing, I don’t know what’s next for me. I mean I could look to find out – but I tend not to. I use the gift to make money. Locate people for bounty-hunters. Find hidden relics that have remained lost for centuries. Sometimes images come unbidden into my mind. Especially from my sister. We share a Life Bond you see.”

“My calling within the Sith is specific. I am looking to fulfil my birthright – I am Vahla and the Ember calls to me. And I covet Sith magic. True Sith magic. Not mental illusions that can be dispelled. No…the ability to create something real from the Force.” Her eyes flared yellow for a few seconds.

“It will be a long and dangerous path – and I can’t wait to start.” She closed her eyes for a second. “We haven’t tried the waterfall lagoon yet have we.” A smile formed on her lips once more.

"Farseeing? My uncle is gifted with that as well. Though it is rare he uses it. The man always mentions how even the visions are uncertain and the future cannot truly be seen. Something about unpredictability, not being able to interpret visions and such. I could imagine how it could come in handy however. Perhaps Corellia might have been saved had it been revelaed in enough time."

A spark of anger flashed in the eyes of the young Sith. The loss of his world was what pushed him over the edge of darkness, and it was an anger that would never pass. He was angry at the galaxy, angry at those who contended for all the war that had caused it. He would see them all pay for the crimes they had committed against him, and Corellians everywhere.

Jaron was not like Maja, he had no calling among the Sith. He was just learning what it meant to be one. She had a path to follow, and Jaron wandered aimlessly in pursuit of an unrealistic goal. The woman he had met promised him the power to do what he sought, but was it even possible. The only way to find out was to meet her at the nebula, in now another few days time. His time to depart was coming, but there was still a bit of time to enjoy his company.

He smirked.

"There are a number of places and situations we haven't tried yet. I am certain your birthright can at least wait until we've finished with our fun. I know mine can."

Jaron rolled over and pressed another kiss to the Vahla's lips before getting of the bed and taking her hand to lead her toward the lagoon she had just mentioned.

Maja shrugged. “I wouldn’t trust future visions myself. They give an indication, not an absolute fact. But sometimes it allows me to see things a split-second before they happen. And sometimes a fraction is all you need. I tend to use the gift for the here and now, it’s more reliable as a rule.”

“But even if someone foresaw the loss of Corellia, I doubt anything could have been done for the planet – and who’d have listened anyway.” She shrugged…the concept of attachment to a planet was foreign to her.

Their remaining time was pleasurable but over all too slowly. Finally the time came to part.

“I’m sure we’ll see each other around and if you ever need a helping hand…for anything…you know where to find me.”

She planted a lingering kiss on his lips and then sighed. Their paths may cross or they could both be dead tomorrow. But what they’d shared could not be taken away. Memories were, after all, sacrosanct.

Everything seemed to be over before it started, and Jaron had to leave if he was going to make it to the Quixoni Nebula in time to meet the woman who had promised him the power he wanted. That was the thing about being Sith, they were pulled in different directions because of different goals. Regardless of the future, they would always have the tryst. Jaron returned the kiss which lingered on his lips. He would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy his time with the redhead, but the pull to what he wanted was too strong to deny.

"I will keep that in mind. Provided neither of us gets ourselves killed between now and then, I am certain there will be stories to exchange. Maybe you'll have another tattoo..."

He kissed her again, then turned to walk down the ramp of the ship back to the elements of the planet. His own frieghter wasn't far, and before long he had cleared the atmosphere.
