Jedi Maverick
Location: Hangar
Equipment: Jedi Robes, Jax's Lightsaber
Jax could sense Kayla's discomfort at the fact that he effortlessly used the force to organize the heavy machinery. It was reinforced by the shock etched on her face and the fact that she backed up a little. <You certainly have a way with women!> BB-12 beeped bemused at Kayla's reaction. Jax sighed as he placed the last of the machinery down using the force. He kept forgetting that not all people were accustomed to seeing force users performing supernatural feet. Years of the Jedi rising, getting massacred, and then reforming again still hasn't normalized the use of force abilities. In missions, Jax could sometimes see the flabbergasted looks of people whenever he whipped out his Lightsaber as though they've seen someone rise from the dead.
"Why don't you analyze that information," Jax grumbled. "And stop making snide remarks."
BB-12 rolled around Jax's feet producing noise from his processing unit that sounded like snickering. <I can't help it> he said. <It's in my programming to be give you feedback.>
"Not on my personal life," he sighed looking over the now shut down Podracing computer. "Not exactly," He said to Kayla watching her droid looking over the parts. "It's a program that BB-12 and I have created, it was supposed to monitor the Podracer's condition, calculate the speed and temperature while also pointing out the systems that need repairing. That way when I go to the pit for repairs, It'll save a crew a lot of headaches while they scramble around trying to look for the source of the problem when the computer's feedback can point them to the specific location."
The Jedi sighed. "In my arrogance," he said giving a dirty look at BB-12 who was to look over the coding. "Or BB-12's incompetence, I didn't establish a better anti virus software than I thought leaving the computer vulnerable to the simplest DDOS attack. It didn't occur to me do something like that until the last race and that nearly cost me my life."
<And the race.> BB-12 said. <That was a lot of credits on the line.>
"Oh yes because my life isn't important," Jax rolled his eyes. "It's through my hard work is the reason why your behind can laze around eating nachos and watching late night Holonet dramas."
He nodded at Kayla's suggestion, it wasn't fullproof but it'll be really difficult for hackers to pull of the same stunt again. "Sounds good," he said assisting her and her droid in organizing the parts. After hours of laborious work, the sun was setting and Jax wiped the sweat from his brow, his robes caked with dirt from the new parts. BB-12 was still analyzing the data, Jax looked over his robes again shaking his head. He's going to have to put this through the wash and to think he had these robes clean today.
It was then Jax eyebrows rose up in shock when Kayla asked him about dinner. Now his heart was racing and he felt himself backing away from her a little. "S-sure," he stammered. "Where do you want to go?!"
<Pizza House!> BB-12 shouted.
"Quiet!" Jax said.
