A Leisurely Stroll through Nar Shaddaa

Aurelio Murtix

The Ambitious Noble
nar-shaddaa.jpg

Aurelio Murtix was a man of many wants at times, whether it be fashionable clothing, expensive food and drink, or various forms of entertainment, but tonight he only wanted one thing; connections. It is known that when someone is going about trying to gain power one of the things you need are backers ready to support your cause, and in many cases people find these supporters in the deepest and darkest pits of the galaxy, which is why the young noble found himself on the infamous Nar Shaddaa. He also had a serious need for credits now that his initial inherited fortune was beginning to run dry, and as soon as Aurelio heard there was a man that could both make him rich and well connected with the criminal underworld Aurelio reached out and organized the upcoming meeting.

This moon was where some of the worst scum of the galaxy came to congregate as they created more and more victims with their dark dealings, and as Aurelio moved through its crowded streets and levels he came to dislike it with each footstep and passing moment. The throng of people moving about were here for the pleasures Aurelio himself sometimes took part of brought to a whole new level, herding towards the various casinos and clubs most likely in the hopes of making their lives feel less stressful, and the bright lights that were meant to try and invite him inside served only to make his eyes hurt at the moment. He believed himself to be better than the ones who called this home and resigned themselves to either a life of simple indulgence or petty crime, but it nagged at the back of his mind that there was a reason he was here which involved possibly making a deal with one such person.

The aristocrat was walking through some of the darkest paths one could find on the moon in a manner almost ignorant considering the types who operated nearby, the luxurious black cape that draped over his left side held close to his well decorated dark red jacket, but he felt that there was not much to worry about. Even if he was attacked by some hoodlums or a small time criminal Aurelio knew his blaster and foil would be more than enough to deal with such villainy, so there was a good deal of confidence in the way he strode about the dangerous areas of Nar Shaddaa. Almost as if to prove this point a group of three rough looking Rodians saw him approach and made way, putting a small smirk on his face as he told himself that no place was going to be denied to him.

It was not long before Aurelio was finally at the spot where the person who would bring him to the meeting was supposed to be, but he found that there was no one there. He made a loud grunt of annoyance as he stood and waited, running his hand through his styled hair and trying to make himself seem more impressive by each passing minute as he waited for his tardy guide. Aurelio had heard nothing about the guide, hoping for someone collected enough to aid in the agreements to make them go smoothly, but considering where he was though, he should have known better than to hope for that.

Morgaine wasn't completely sure where she was. I mean, she knew she was on Nar Shadaa, but where on that fucking moon was she? Her stash of death sticks was running dangerously low, and everyone knew what happened when the Lioness didn't get her drugs into her body.

Well okay, no one really knew, except for a select few family members. With a brain that was mostly dark spots given over in sweet surrender to any narcotic that crossed her path, it was sort of a miracle that she still managed to learn enough chemistry to make her own drugs in case of need. But she hated doing that when there was no clean bath tub in sight that she could play with, and given by her current apparel of too big jeans and a long shirt draped over a severely malnourished body, it wasn't going to happen.

One eye green and one eye gold gazed at the deserted streets. It was unusually quiet, except for that dude walking there. [member="Aurelio Murtix"] .

"Hey mister," she grinned, her narrow lips pressed against each other, "got any giggledust?"

Darth Banshee had just escaped mandalorian space, she had no idea what just happened or why. She went nearest holo terminal, and left a message for a person she consider Burcyan a man name @ordo. She hoped he tell her what was happening, but she need a place to stay. She had only bit money on her, she looked around a found a random hotel. Their she saw woman buying some thing called giggledust. She could do with a laugh right know, but she had priorities that was a bed. She head over desk clerk, and asked him
What is your best room available? His response was well we only got the honey moon suite left, for better room`s left. Though it won`t be ready for couple hours yet. He then gestured for payment, she was sith she where going to pay for a room. That and she had no money till she could get thing sorted out. So she waved her hand, and said He said he would pay for it know. She pointed a random person, who looked note worthy. His eyes glazed over, and then said Are yes [member="Aurelio Murtix"], said he would pay, well your room will be ready in hour. In the mean time the is free bar for his guest over their. He pointed over to a special bar area, and gave security guard a nod. She smiled and thought to herself, she could do with a drink. She head over to bar, hoping the mandalorian thing will just blow over. After all ordo could sort it out.

Having come to Nar Shaddaa to many times over the past few months Siara was quite familiar with large swaths of it. She had been coming here to meet with information brokers with the hope of finding the only man who had escaped her wrath after betraying her. It had been years since the confrontation in which he had knowingly sent her along with a team of mercenaries against a much larger better armed foe employed a rival of his apparently with the intent of weakening his foe so he could attempt to ‘have all the glory for himself’. She had just managed to escape that day having sustained quite a few injuries, the medical bills alone were more substantial than the credits [member="Aurelio Murtix"] had offered up front. She would not have been so suspicious had he paid her what he owed upon completion of the mission but he hadn’t he had what he wanted. It was then the Kiffar woman decided to dig a little and found out he never intended for any of them to survive that mission. He knew exactly what they were to be facing and had hired enough of them to thin the herd.

Walking through the streets decked out in her full armor made her an impressive sight to behold, if she were not wearing the armor she would just look like a target for any passing vagrant but in this armor the crowd was parting around her despite her diminutive size. She marched into the dwelling of a local information broker her heavy armor clipping the narrow doorway as she stepped through. The owner a lanky Rodian man grunted at her. “What you want?”

“You said you had information for me.” Siara stated coldy. “Regarding Aurelio Murtix.”

“Vorru?” The Rodian asked.

“No, it’s your mother. Who else would be here to see with credits for useful information about Murtix you idiot. Tell me what you know before you make me angry and I decide to pay someone else for the information they no doubt have as well.” Siara growled, she only used this man because he was reliable, but he was dumb as a post.

“He is here on Nar Shaddaa, apparently trying to increase his wealth, apparently he is running short on credits.” The Rodian replied.

“It’s a big moon, if you don’t give me better information then that you aren’t getting a single credit more.” Siara said as she took her helmet off glaring up at the Rodian.

“Coordinates of where he landed are encoded on this pad.” He replied as he waved it about. “Give me my fee and I’ll decrypt them for you.”

Studying the Rodian for a moment for any sign of deception Siara reached into her pocket and produced a chit with enough credits to cover the fee loaded on it. “If the information is good and I catch up to my target then I will double this.”

The Rodian’s dark eyes seemed to light up at the thought of more credits, he quickly snatched the chit and decoded the pad handing it over to Siara. “It is good, you will see.”

Taking the pad from the Rodian she downloaded its contents to her armor’s HUD pulling her helmet back on and examining the data, he hadn’t landed very far from here it would not take very long for the Kiffar mercenary to pick up his trail and follow it directly to the man. She stepped out of the small building following the HUD to the spaceport her target had used she started searching for signs of the arrogant man passing through, he would leave a trail of some sort for her to follow.

Aurelio Murtix

The Ambitious Noble
An irate Aurelio continued to wait in the damp and barely lit area near what seemed like a run down hotel of sorts, pacing back and forth to occupy time while his patience continued to grow thinner and thinner. He began muttering under his breath how unprofessional it was to make him wait this way, and fantasized about putting his blaster up to the head of some faceless crime lord and pulling the trigger as footsteps could be heard approaching. Aurelio suddenly stopped his own movements, becoming more and more nervous at the thought of meeting this mystery messenger or even a thug with criminal intent, until a red-haired woman revealed herself in the dim lights of the back-alley.

"Hey mister, got any giggledust?" She said with the begging tone of an average addict. The now relieved baron dropped his shoulders and moved his hand away from his blaster, but was still quite a bit upset that this drug-addled fool managed to almost frighten him. A small frown appeared on his face as he appraised Morgaine, finding her about as attractive as a partially shaved Wookie, and made a quick grunt of annoyance to show his disdain. Still he found himself drawn towards her golden eye, and could only stare directly into it as he addressed her.

"No, I do not have any of this 'giggledust' you addict." As he spoke another woman moved into the hotel after glancing towards them, and Aurelios wondered if she might possibly be his contact, "Now if you'll kindly remove yourself from my sight I am waiting for a person to take me to speak with someone actually semi-important. Unless you want to earn some credits with actual work and buy this giggledust yourself of course."

The haughty Aurelio chuckled at the last statement as if he knew she would never be able to work in her condition, then walked towards the hotel to find the mysterious other woman without even looking back at Morgaine. After entering and smelling something that made him regret it he spoke with the aging human desk clerk, only to find out from the apathetic employee that supposedly he was paying for someone's room here. This, combined with the waiting for his contact, brought him to a level of anger that could not be fully contained, resulting in him storming towards the guest-bar only to be pushed back by the quite large Weequay security guard. This did not make the noble very happy. At all.

Realizing the size of his opponent Aurelio immediately went for a sucker punch to his face in the hopes of taking him down quickly, but found himself simply staring into the face of a very angry person that could crush him with a single hand. A few moments of wrestling later resulted in the noble being tossed out of the building and into the dirt, ruining his outfit and crushing his hopes of victory as the guard sauntered after him with the intent of breaking his pretty little face. Aurelio slowly struggled to get to his feet, and moved his hand towards his blaster only to find it gone and now near the feet of the strange drug addict from before.

"Grab that blaster!" he yelled in desperation to Morgaine while keeping his eyes on the tall and powerful Weequay, who was now noticing that there was a weapon in play and began slowly moving towards it, "Get it for me and I swear on my honor I'll buy you some giggledust!"

[member="Morgaine deWinter"] [member="Darth Banshee"] [member="Siara Vorru"]

Darth Banshee looked at the man, as he pulled his weapon out. It was almost amusing, if he was mandalorian. He would fired by know, they new not to hesitate. As it gave people time to react, like the doorman is know. Also they would not bothered pulling the gun out, until they new what they where dealing with. To put simply this man, was just a hot head. She toyed with some ideas in head, she decide it was better to end it know. Before he got himself killed, as she could take the money from dead man as easy.

She then concentrated on the barrel of his gun, and felt through the force. She moved an invisible hand across it feeling for flaws in the metal work, micro fissure and ilk. Then she controlled her emotions the ones she just suffered from, at the hands of the mandalorians. Loss of one side of family again. She used that energy to crush the gun barrel...

As she did she then concentrated on the weequay, to stop him beating the little hot head into next week. She was not sure if it would work, but she tried to erase his memory of the gun.............

Following the trail left behind by her prey Siara had little trouble catching up to him outside the rundown hotel he was being thrown out of. He certainly wasn’t being discreet which suited her just fine though he was drawing too much attention at the moment for her to engage. She stood back and removed her helmet watching from a dark alley as the cocky noble scuffled with a Weequay who looked about ready to rip the man in two. She pulled a cigarette from a pouch on her gun belt lit it taking a long drag as she observed from a distance. She had every intention of finding a way of engaging the nobleman and making him suffer for double crossing her as all others who did so ended up doing eventually.

She smoked quietly as she observed waiting to see if the Weequay would do her job for her. Siara may be impulsive when it came to her desires but something about the danger of combat calmed her, gave her focus. She kept a low profile for now, there would be an opportunity soon enough of that she was certain.

What was a lady like her doing in a place like this only those that knew she was here knew. After all being from the black sun knew these place why should be trust. The ones that would put a knife in your back quicker then a blink of the eye. Those were the ones to keep a keen eyes upon. It wasn't that other things came out of a place like this. Finding her way in and out of the crowds with her watchful eyes looking for anyone that would cause interest.

Always at work for the black sun those she call her comrades but others could be add to the fold or even be ones to be allies with one couldn't have to many. It wasn't like she had other things to do but for now this was a calling she was getting in the force. In present of those around her with the way she was dress being of gear to blind in as one of the underworld. Wearing her leather well from head to toe only to see her weapons on her hips as she moved with a command. It wasn't only that one couldn't help but see that one to not be messed with.

Finding or more of a force finding something that peek her interested. After some time to look on and listen this little group that had gather at this place and time came to amuse her very much. Taking her own time to make up the time. Grand time of the day isn't it, ladies and gentlemen."

Before he could get his hands on it, the barrel of his blaster began to change and was suddenly crushed. This made the weapon useless for his plans, and now the guard would gladly charge into and pummel him if things got physical. Surprisingly the Weequay simply stood there, with a blank stare as if his mind was being toyed with. The blaster-barrel and this could only mean one thing; a force user was nearby, and playing games with the situation. On one hand this made fighting the guard easier, but on the other it angered Aurelio even more since his life was being manipulated by someone with abilities he didn't have.

Seizing his chance, the nobleman pulled out his light-foil hilt and charged at his distracted enemy, using what power he could muster to pull the guard's leg out from under him. His foe only snapped out of it once he hit the ground, but by then there was an angry baron on top of his chest and beating his face with the metal hilt until he lost consciousness. Aurelio began breathing heavily on top of his conquered enemy, exhausted from the vicious assault, and sat there for a minute or two catching his breath and taking in the situation when a woman's voice came from behind him. He turned to see an armed and pretty woman watching them, a look of amusement on her face as she made her comment.

"Yes...quite the perfect time of day if I do say so myself." Aurelio said with a hint of sarcasm as he stood up and walked towards her, "And you wouldn't happen to be my contact with the local crime lord, would you? If so I must say he has quite the way of keeping me waiting."

Eyes looking over quickly the situation if anything wondering how this one handles situation getting himself out of them. Even if she was impressed one like her wouldn't show it. Amused she was at the situation, feeling of something else at play only brought a twist to her lips. Not saying word about the other one toying with him. Crime Lord a local one could it be which one. This was very useful information, for sure to note on. "Crime Lord I know of many but I am part of something large.

Was toying with him maybe so but in a way to feel him out to see just how this one [member="Aurelio Murtix"] think and his action will say a lot with his character. Longing to test this out more. So this Crime Lord what he got, maybe ... as if she was deep in thought over a matter.

Darth Banshee looked at the hot head, his mood seem to change almost instantly when he saw the other woman. She did not really care, he was buying her drinks like it or not. She only have problems with this if some one killed him. She took sip of drink and checked her messages, to see if [member="Ordo"] had replied. Their was no answer yet, she hoped he would reply. They had fought together, atleast he could do would be tell what was happening. Surly his honour would demand he do that at least.

Aurelio wiped some of the dirt from his face and grunted in annoyance at the newcomer's answers to his questions. After waiting for the contact for far too long and now getting in a fight with that far-too-big Weequay he was losing what little patience he had left. He wiped the security guard's blood from the hilt of his foil onto his pants since they were ruined anyway, went and grabbed up his ruined blaster after glaring at the addict, and then gave a mocking bow to all in attendance.

"Well if you'll excuse me then, I am going to take a break in that damned hotel until I get the meeting I wanted in the first place!" Aurelio said angrily before turning towards the building and forcefully making his way inside. Ignoring everyone who wanted to say otherwise, he made his way to the guest cantina now that there wasn't a guard to stop him and grabbed a bottle of wine that was siting on the bar counter. The dirty, bruised, and upset baron sat down at a booth in the back, and knew that eventually his actions would get the attention of the crime boss and draw him here.

Either way he drank directly from the bottle to pass the time and rest, for he also knew that he would most likely need his strength back soon...

Watching the whole scene play out gave the mercenary a shiver, her recent experience with the Crusade gave her a good insight into the tricks of a force user and though it was hard to see from across the way in the alley she was waiting and watching from she could spot that something had happened pinch the barrel of the blaster shut. That didn’t happen on its and the moment hesitation Weequay provided another hint that some force user was either toying with the arrogant noble whose inability to go anywhere without causing a scene made Siara almost appear somewhat composed. She finished her cigarette and put her helmet back on. If not for the fact that her target knew her she probably would have opted for something less conspicuous but she didn’t often go sneaking around the alleys of Nar Shaddaa so of what she had it was the best option.

Kicking off the wall as the Noble got up off his victim and dusted himself off announcing he was going inside again she stepped out of the alley keeping her weapons in their holsters for now. She spotted a better dressed individual heading for the run down hotel, she fell into step behind the man as if she were his bodyguard. Unless someone was paying particular attention they wouldn’t notice she was merely following him into the bar stepping in just before her target. She couldn’t exactly let him out of her sight after finding him again so long after his betrayal, she also couldn’t risk being hasty, the potential that someone would assist the nobleman was too high and she needed to know the odds before she engaged.

Letting her ‘disguise’ take a seat she crossed the room seemingly watching the better dressed man though in reality she was scanning the room for allies of [member="Aurelio Murtix"] there had to be a force user in here somewhere as well it would be nice to know who it was as they were probably the biggest threat in the room.

Darth Banshee carried on drinking, hoping that hot head would realize that he should calm down know. She still wondering what those giggle sticks are, as she could do with a laugh. Curiosity was getting better off on that mark, some thing a down fall of hers.

She kept an eye on him, after all if some killed him. Their goes her free launch, as like or not he was paying hotel bill and her drinks if he was dead. Though she tried not make to obvious, as a man like this would have enemies. Well if not know, he soon would have. As he had no sense of tact.

With drink in hand Aurelio managed to calm himself down a bit through drinking and deep breaths, casually taking a glance around the cantina to see if there was anyone who looked like they were the one stealing from him. There weren't too many people in it after what had happened, his dirty and bloody outfit wasn't helping get him any friends either, but there were still a few left that could be his trouble maker. There was a well dressed man sitting nearby with what seemed to be a bodyguard hovering behind him, a group of Duros playing a game in a smoky corner, another woman drinking as well, a short Devaronian with large horns, and the desk clerk who was merely watching him from the entrance.

The baron gave the clerk a quick rude gesture, then resumed drinking while figuring out who his target was. After some debate he chose to go ask the Duros group if they had seen anyone odd come in recently when a group of thugs of various species wielding a variety of blaster weapons began piling into the room, knocking the clerk aside as they moved towards the reckless young nobleman. As they stopped and stood staring at him, the Devaronian got up from his seat with a chuckle.

"I didn't expect you to be such an ill-tempered person Aurelio Murtix. Aren't nobility supposed to be far more...composed?" The short man smirked while standing beside his much taller 'friends', "I'm not sure if I want to work with a man of your temperament, since it's usually not very nice of people to beat up the men who work at places I own...like this."

"You should have told that security guard I was coming then." Aurelio said with his own little grin as he stood up from his seat and moved a bit closer to the crime-boss, "Or you should have revealed yourself sooner to get this meeting over with. You know I need credits and I know you wa-"

"The information you have on me? I do, but I'm not going to pay you for it. I've already killed the one who gave it to you, and now you're the only one who knows so the answer was simple." With that said the boss snapped his fingers, signaling for his men to open fire. As they drew their weapons Aurelio leapt behind the counter and pulled out his foil, hoping to find some way out or at least a way to get in close enough to use his only weapon.

All this time after all there was away to show the crime boss hand before she showed her own. This causing her to slowly come out of the shadow she had folded herself into. Only to bring out her own weapons after which she let herself be known. After all she couldn't be sure until after he made his finally move. Tisk tisk Tisk, what do we have here, trying to black mail, then to do away with this fine young gentleman. craking her neck back and forth. After all she been sent by the Black sun invaded there own crime boss disappearance. After which time let her boots do the talking for her. After all she had to be one that showed powers.

you see I work for some very powerful people that sent me to make sure I get to the bottom of this all and clean up the mess. , her eyes look upon the crime lord with a daring of him to try something well she had her weapons drawl-en upon them all. Seeing that she met busy or just had guts to her. You want to be Crime lords want a bes come onto this terrors think wouldn't be found out, dear dear dear I'm sad to say you been found out. Now time to play the price. , finding herself flowing be unhind the table herself looking at the snob as would call her some high born that seem to gotten over his head. Watching the room erupt into a firefight directed at the noble Siara grumbled, no one was going to kill him before she could she didn’t care how many men the crime lord had brought with him. She had to do something, her ‘disguise’ was already retreating which meant the decision was already made for her she would act on behalf of the noble for now perhaps he would begin to trust her and let her get close enough in private enough quarters that she could end him.

Drawing her blaster pistols from her hips she pinched off a pair of shots into the head of the nearest of the little crime lords’ bodyguards watching him crumple to the ground as his other guards reacted splitting their fire between the bar and her. Enough fire started to flow in her direction that Siara decided finding some cover would be appropriate. She kicked over a nearby table and sought cover behind it as blaster fire glanced off her heavy armor. The mercenary woman growled as she peeked around the table firing a stream of shots from both blaster pistols at the bodyguards. Under normal circumstances she would coordinate her efforts with those she was working with but she couldn’t risk being recognized by her prey and she figured he would easily recognize her voice even though it had been a few years.

[member="Ariella"] [member="Aurelio Murtix"] [member="Darth Banshee"]

She saw the fire fight unfold, her instinct was to block the fire her lightsaber. Though would attract to much attention, form possible threats. Like the Jedi and any republican, or worse still any mandalorian who wanted to bag a sith. The words of mandalore still haunted her, and she still wanted know how she had failed as diplomat.

So she leap over the bar to safety, though it was with some speed. Which meant anyone watching for that split second, may of guessed she was force user. Though she had no choice as some of the blaster fire was coming her way.

As the baron took cover behind the bar, he could hear the shooting stop somewhat as the familiar voice of the woman from outside spoke of crime bosses and cleaning up. It was not long after that the firing resumed, and the woman in question jumped behind the counter as well and landed next to him before introducing herself as a member of the infamous Black Suns. Now he understood her words form before, and smiled knowing that there was something out there watching over him.

"Glad to meet you Ariella!" He yelled over the sound of enemy fire, since it would have been rude to ignore introductions even in such a situation, "I'm Baron Aurelio Murtix, and I appreciate the help!"

As if the word 'assistance' was a magical phrase, another ally showed themselves by taking out one of the enemies and getting much of their attention from the side as yet another person flew over the side and landed next to the two of them. It was the woman he spotting drinking from before, and he could only guess just how unlucky she felt to be in this situation. Aurelio wanted to help as well, but unless he could get close his foil was useless since he wasn't a Jedi and couldn't deflect their attacks. As the crime boss demanded that his men kill everyone present at the cantina, shooting down even those who had nothing to do with this, a few of them moved closer to the bar in order to simply shoot those hiding behind it.

As soon as he could hear the footsteps of one of them nearby Aurelio jumped up and quickly cut into the closest one's neck, causing the other ones to move back and resume firing from afar while the baron pulled the dying Rodian's body over the counter and down with the rest of them. He ripped the blaster rifle from the thug's hands and tossed the body aside, now ready to fight on equal footing with the others.

One thugs decide to try kill some of people, who took refuge behind the bar. He was a blue skinned duros, he was armed with some sort carbine. He was wearing some armour, it looked like some sort of armour mesh black in colour. Darth Banshee was one of them. The thug opened fire at them, killing the bar man, and strafing shots came towards her. She then opened fire with wrist blaster, her reflexes where that of sith her. Her aim was a deadly as any mandalorian, as it was they who trained her. Her shots made no noise when she fired them, she hit him square in the temple of skull. He dropped to floor with a crash, and made a bit of a din unlike her wrist blaster. She then popped her head above the bar, and looked to see if their was anyone else in range.
