A Missed Flight

He laughed for s hort moment when she fell. Drunk people usually looked funny trying to fight to him. "Then it looks like that's your pro-" he was knocked out of breath unexpectedly when she basically pushed him back. He backed up and hit the thrusters level forward. The ship started moving forward and downward into the atmosphere. Alask grabbed onto one of the chairs realizing the ship was going too fast downward to stop it. It was like getting hit and pushed back to be squeezed by air. He would hold onto the chair which was bolted down onto the floor which was sideways now. He hoped the translator would be okay since he would be doing a lot of the work. Expecting the drunk girl to fly back, he would grab her arm to try and keep her alive.

Pyrrhus came running into the cockpit, rifle in his arms. "Oi! Break it up!" He would shout, racing over to the two. "This is no time to fight!" He hollered into Sarah's ear. He jumped in between the two, bracing himself for any reaction. A fight could break the consols, and that really wouldn't be great. When the ship started to go down, he lunged for the controls, but was pushed back by the sudden force as the ship started to burn up. He was slammed into the far wall, breathless he started to climb for a place to hold onto.

She smiled softly, finally doing something, but her smile faded quickly. She felt the ship rapidly decending. She tried to reach for something to hold onto, but from the wine, her reaction time was abit too slow. "Wait what. . .Whats going on. . ." By then she would've flown back, and she screamed. Luckily for her though, he managed to grab onto her, and saved her life.

The ship kept going down as his grip of both the girl and the chair began to loosen. But he kept holding on as the ship came close to the surface of the planet. The girl being drunk wasn't a good thing at the moment and the ship crashing wasn't either. The ship came down onto the surface crashing and pieces of the ship flying everywhere as his grip on both the girl and the chair was gone. He felt his body and heard other things flying around in the ship's cockpit. The glass broke and he flew down hitting the floor and bouncing hitting the wall and the floor again. The ship would shred for about one more minute. The trees stopped it a little but not a lot. He hoped the translator and the girl was okay. The last thing he remembered before blackjng out was letting go.

Sarah continued to scream, seeing how she was witnessing her first ever crash in her life. She didn't want to die, not now. . .or ever. She tried her best to grab onto -something-, not really noticing she was already grabbed. When his grip slipped, Sarah went slamming into a wall, clearly entering an unconsious state as well. Her limp body then landed onto the floor, causing sometype of head injury.

Still on edge from the voice heard earlier, the tribe entered mass panic as an impact shook the ground. The sound of metal on metal echoed throughout the forest. In the distance, trees could be seen falling from their place amongst the forest's canopy. Whatever it was, it was over there. With so much damage already done the tribe instantly considered it hostile.

The males of the tribe rushed to grab their primitive iron weapons as the females and young began to flee back to the guts that lined the feasting table. Now they were armed, the force of 35 male Lapanguis rushed towards the crashed ship. As they approached it was clear this wasn't an intended landing. Many of the previously straight pannels were now bend or completely torn off. It would be a suprised to find anyone alive. With no resistance so far the tribe began to move closer to the wreckage, not knowing what to expect.

Two of the males, armed with small iron swords entered the ship, while the remaining Lapanguis set up a perimeter.

The ship's metal could be heard falling off as some parts of it were on fire. He probably should've turned on the shields. Alask came to consciousness and tried to open his eyes. It felt like he was tired. Everything seemed distorted or weird. He could hear noises of the same beasts he heard on the comm. He didn't know if he should try and stand up yet but he had to even if he didn't want to. He had two passengers aboard and an enemy army is sounded like approaching. When he stood up, his vision got clearer but his aches didn't. Alask could feel a shard of glass in his leg. As per usual, he just pulled it out. That's when a lot of blood came out and he had to grab something to patch it up. Leafs and debris was in the ship's cockpit so he made use of those. He put some leafs over the spot and tied string around it. Then, he put on his hood and walked jver to the girl hoping she wasn't drunk anymore. "Sarah! Hey, wake up." he whispered. She looked like she had a bruise on her head.

Pyrrhus stumbled to his feet, the crash had left him with quiet the gash on his leg. He rolled out from under a broken console that had presumably fell on him when the ship made contact. Moaning, he got to his feet. He had to use his rifle as a crutch, though his leg appeared to be nothing more than a scratch. Slowly, he hobbled over to the door of the cockpit. He didnt even see Sarah and... The other guy in the room. Though he walked right passed them. The door, was still intact, the same couldn't be said for the doorway. Pyrrhus simply stemmed over the crumbling wall, and started for the ship's loading bay. He had seen a crate with a medical symbol stamped on the side of it. There had to be something in there.

Then he heard the noises.

When Alask found Sarah, her head was slowly bleeding and she did have a large bruise on her head. "N-nn..." She had softly grunted, and with his soft whisper, Sarah was unable to wake up, but atleast she was still alive.

(I couldn't think of anything)

At this point, he had to mame a decision. Stay, fight, and defend Sarah or take her with him probably by carrying her. He got down on one knee and pressed a button on his com link. "Pyrrhus, can you hear me?" he asked as he looked around to make sure he was safe.

Pyrrhus hit a button on his comlink, answering the beeping that had started. "Yes sir. I hear you." He said, swing hing his rifle up, taking aim at the bolts that held the crate -somehow, the crash had not affected them- And fired off a few shots. The crate smashed open, and there was a few bandages left. Pyrrhus grabbed them and started back to the cockpit.

"I'm gonna need you to hurry to the cockpit but keep aware of hostile threats. I sense some things are lurking on board the ship. Kill if you must." he commanded. "Oh and do not talk if you don't have to. If you do have to, get where you can't be heard. My name's Captain Mantis or Alask for short." Of course Captain Mantis was a name he got of a dead guy but he liked it. Maybe his alias. Alask stayed kneeled by Sarah hoping the translator left the cockpit for a good reason. Sarah did t seem to be in a deadly state, but she defiantly needed help. Every other minute, he thought about the damage on the ship and how much repairs it'd need but that wasn't important as it was repairable.

Sarah continued to softly groan, and started to mumble out somewords. "Nnmm....b-but...I-I don't...wanna go to school..nnn..." ...Yup. Shes still out of it.

"Yes sir, Captain." Pyrhus said, raising his blaster to his hip. Some of the ships counsels had exploded, and sparks flew everywhere. He walked briskly, going as fast as he could while still staying quiet. After a few moments he walked through the door to the cockpit and knelt down beside Sarah, looking at Alask. "I found these." He said, handing him the bandages. "She alright?"

He took the bandages and opened them while talking. "I'm pretty sure. Minor injuries. Did you get hurt?" he asked while raising up her head a little bit and laying a long piece of cotton under it. He would set her head down and wrap both ends over her forehead where all of the injuries were. Alask, put some bacta gel over the injuries before wrapping them. He stood back up and looked at Pyrrhus. "She mumbles stuff every now and then, that's normal though. Would you like me to carry her since you have a better blaster? It doesn't matter to me who carries her, we just have to keep moving since we don't know anything about Alc"

"You take her. I'll cover you, sir." Pyrrhus said, pulling back the safety bolt on his rifle. "Don't worry about me, just get yourself -and the girl- to safety." He said, kicking a box in front of the doorway. "Which way are we headed? I really don't think this is safe..." He said, pointing to the smashed vents of the craft.

While being bandaged up, Sarah's body remained slightly still, however, her head moved ever so slightly. "Daddy... daddy wheres mommy..." She had softly mumbled. "Why don't I have a mommy...nn..." Slowly but surely, her eyes slightly openned, but the girl was still out of it. She took a slight glace around, then passed right out again.

He nodded when he gave directions. "Is anything safe anymore? I think I heard the noises coming from the right hand side of the ship so maybe there's a village east of here." he explained kneeling to pick the girl up. He was confused when Pyrrhus pointed towards the vents. "Being sneaky will most likely get us killed. Lets just go out the window, okay?" he asked for confirmation. Then, he heard mumbling again from her but she opened her eyes for once but passed out again. "She probably won't be awake for awhile."

"Yes, it would get us killed, but them? The vents are a prime place for critters like these to hide." Pyrrhus said, looking around the room one last time before walking up to the glass. He stepped back, and kicked out the last few shards of it. After jumping out the window he shouted up; "Looks clear enough, c'mon!"

"They can hide all they want but we aren't." he said before jumping out of the window. Then, he would start walking towards the village or camp which had smoke coming out of it with Pyrrhus and the girl, except he'd be walking for her.
