It had taken Rosa three years to accept her parents death. Three years of searching for answers, for someone to blame, for vengeance. Her parents had been her world, they made her what she was today and in her mind she had owed it to them to avenge them, to bring justice to those who had brutally murdered them.
Yet in this moment, this blissful moment of peace, Darron Wraith, the love of her life. The man who had shown her true happiness and a peace she had never felt before, was telling her that if it happened, she would have to accept his death. The first answer that came to her head was plain and simple.
Never.
She couldn't say that to him though, and as he drew back and looked down at her, his sapphire blues eyes locked on hers and she felt a lump rise in her throat and blinked hard against the rising tears. "I think you over estimate my ability to accept anything painful, Darron." She looked down drawing in a deep breath, desperately trying to keep the tears at bay. She leant her forehead against his chest shaking her head as she tightened her grip on him.
"I cannot promise you that, Darron. I can promise you...that I will do everything I can to avoid the darkness...but accept your death?" she looked up at him, the tears finally escaping her eyes and trailing down her cheeks.
