A more Advanced Approach at beating things repeatedly with a lightsaber

In the lands of the Primeval... but in the hands of Ancient Sith Lords... Mythos was in Korriban for the hundredth time yet this time it was in reach of Warriors... not ancient Scrolls or Relics. Korriban was his favorite planet next to Naboo and Atriasia, he stood upon the valley of the dark lords practicing his techniques of lightsaber dueling in the darkness of the night. He did not fear Korriban, or the Tuk'ata, Groom being around always watching and his various visits had gotten the wildlife and air around the planet to... respect him a little bit more, sounded crazy but it was true.

When he came here first with T'zanith he was hounded and beat by the Planets unforgiving and hostile inhabitants and landscape, now he walked about Korriban as one. His lightsaber dashed in rapid successions of Juyo and ataru seeking to perfect his craft.... yet he felt an approaching presence that was not... Animal... yet not far from it either.. Damien watched the youth as he practiced. From his perch atop a nearby cliff face, he could see yet not be seen unless he wanted it. For now he would watch as the youth utilized the two most compatible Forms of lightsaber combat.

He was not the best, being new to them it would seem. Damien could be wrong, for all he knew the youth used them most often. But the point was he was only average, not excelling yet. However he had contacted Damien to aid him in some endeavor, so maybe that was it; one could always learn better with another.

Martial skills also were one of Damien's fortes, so he would be a valuable asset on that end.

Taking a step off the ledge, Damien plummeted towards the ground below. He did not flinch, nor take fear of any kind. His powers were his, and he trusted them...

At the last moment, he created a swift updraft of air beneath him. The result was a deafening crash, but it left him hardly scathed. Climbing from the minor crater, he dusted off his Inquisitor armor, and wrapped his Lotek'k Jacket about himself a bit tighter. He was ready for some training, this was obvious.

Walking closer, Damien held up a hand, to which three minor sized rocks rose into the air. Launching them at the youth with Balistakinesis, he aimed for the knee, throat, and chest. It would test the young mans abilities to parry and black.

Mythos watched as a figure emerged from the blast that had occurred, he walked forward in Armor that Mythos himself had not yet seen. The Crash created a small crater to which Mythos just stared mouth agape, it was the size of a crater made by some of the One Sith Artillery machines, a battery created with the sole purpose of destroying at long range yet this man walked stoically from the Crater as if the impact did little to even make him move.

He must have been watching his training session for some time and before Mythos could say anything he swirled with the Force and sent three Stones floating above him and then sent them as Projectiles towards Mythos. The First Stone Collided with Mythos' blade as he angled it upwards and close to his face in front of his throat, then with a downwards swipe he eviscerated the Two other stones a single movement.

The Wind blew at his Sith Assassin Robes fiercely as the Howl of Tuk'atas filled the Air with dread and the night sky of Korriban. He did not speak but instead held his pose as he utilized a strange Soresu like arc to block the attack... he wondered what kind of Form he would learn... or even if he would learn anything... How many Sith Lay in these sands forgotten by time? Could Mythos count himself of being one of them soon? His eyes stared at the Man who stepped forward and his heart beat faster and faster with every step he took...

Damien did not slow his pace, but called ahead, "I received your call for training. This will not be a simple session however, it will be a true fight. You will be hurt if you do not learn quickly." Soon enough he was within range to not need to shout, "Diem so, this will be your first lesson. It is the defense against another's attack, to use their momentum against them. Countering, this is the epitome of the Form. Defend, and pick the proper time to utilize a counter attack."

Then he was within feet of the young man, and Kalligs Scorching Saber raced towards his hand, to activate with a hiss. He thought about utilizing his best skill by far, Ataru combined with Trakata, yet this was unfair as he had bested Masters with the techniques he honed.

So he would remain a better target, and not use feints. Instead he would stick with Juyo.

Launching into a two handed strike combo, he swept the plasma blade towards the mans side, then spun in place swiftly as he brought the blade in a circle over his head to accelerate the momentum as he brought towards the other side. Then, whether either attack landed or was blocked, he again spun the blade around him, this time switching hands behind his back to sweep a blow aimed to cleave from the young mans clavicle to the opposite pelvic side.

(Also just wanted to toss out, love the vast difference in your writing style. More punctuation, proper grammar and sentence structure. Its a sign your working on it. Its commendable.)

Mythos breathed in and breathed out as he listened to the man speak of Djem So, it was the Only ability he had yet to learn the basics of apart from Niman and the other more Rare forms of lightsaber combat like Jar'kai. He knew the Basics of Shi-cho and Soresu yet he excelled at Juyo, Ataru and Makashi the best, Mythos saught to become a Bladesman like no other yet he understood that to do this he needed to spend countless decades of training to even achieve a level that would be considered a Blademaster and not even one of the Best. Great Legendary Blademasters he had heard of spent more than decades honing their skills...

Mythos had all the time in the world yet he did not want to waste a millisecond of it.

Damien came at him with Juyo, a Style that Mythos knew like the back of his hand, it was his Main style yet the way the Man executed it reminded him of Ataru Hawkbat form in the sense that it moved from side to side with very few true vertical attacks. The way Mythos learned was by Example or by words, the latter being much more difficult but in the case of Damien it was awfully simple, he explained it very well and Mythos repeated his words in his brain like a monologue. "Use your opponents momentum against him, Choose the right time to counter attack, defend, Countering is the Epitome of the Form"
Those words would be repeated again and again and again in his brain until they became memorized as he moved.

Moving his blade by raising his left elbow he blocked the first strike of Juyo aimed at his side, then the next strike came after the twirl with all the unpredictability and momentum expected from a juyo practitioner, the only reason Mythos was able to survive the attack was his familiarity with the Form as he brought his blade in a vertical slice close to his body stepping forward while he twirled to intercept the attack, now things got more complicated. Footwork was something Mythos had considered Core to swordsmanship because of his time with Pyrrhus and Makashi 101, he side stepped keeping his cool and focusing not on the mans blade but on his feet as his blade twirled expertly in his hands and came at Mythos back.

Mythos stepped to the side and then stepped forward opening his stance, then using the momentum from Damien brought himself close and parried the blade bringing it upwards. His blade was a strange looking thing... unlike anything he had ever seen, no time for that however as he heard his voice in his mind that ordered his next move. "Counter attack"

With a swift step forward and to the side he executed a simple yet precise slice at Damien's Shoulder, then twisted his wrist and cut two more precise yet slow strikes at his neck and head at shoulder level. He could realize this man was Holding back, it did not take a Genius to realize he was facing exactly what he wanted to be... a Blade Master.

While Damien was indeed well versed, to the point of acknowledgment from Master Bladesman, he was no where near a Master. He excelled in all Martial Arts, whether with shoot, blade, lightsaber, daggers or knives, hand to hand; they all were aspects he had spent well over a millennia working to collect. He daresay he knew all styles there were to know, but he was probably wrong.

It was obvious that in battle, Mythos was adept, for he moved swift and sure. It also seemed he had noticed Damien's own take on Juyo, while many believed that vertical or outright bashing assault was best, he utilized momentum similarly to Ataru but with a much more centered focus. He had spent thirty years and more working on the skill. It was something many considered odd, yet had to acknowledge the effectiveness.

Swinging the weightless blade of the lightsaber upward he smacked the attack that came his way to the side, and drug his own blade up the others as his opponent began his second attack. In keeping the two blades connected, he was allowed a true counter, by sweeping his blade up the mans arm. Cutting off the last two attacks before they even began, Damien halted the blade before it could harm his enemy.

"A true counter is not its own attack! Like I said, use the enemy's momentum! If I swing a blade towards your torso, seek to knock it away, then while my arm is extended bring the blade back inward to cleave my open torso. Or push away the other hard enough to throw the balance, and you can attack the opposite side in near any place!" Damien said. Then he swung his blade once more around over his head to aim at the mans open bicep.

(Lol thanks. I watch to much anime and stuff so I know how to do fight scenes really well.)

Mythos stared dumbfounded at Damiens' blade that was held over his eyes after it traced upward through his arm in a way he did not even truly detect. Sweat dripping from his forehead and the light of Damien's' blade was the only light that this barren word had apart from the stars and the Moon... if this had been a real fight Mythos would be laying in the sand split open like many others who foolishly thought it was a good idea to fight Damien.

While Damien talked Mythos listened, he did not nod, he did not say a word... he just listened... and listened well. Djem so apparently was not the Type of Style that was SImple to learn, it had more complex way of working, where Juyo demanded you enjoy the Fight Djem-so demanded something more... Martial and practical.

The Masters' blade came at him again and Mythos stepped back and swung his blade around his body angled downwards at chest height while he parried the Blade to the side, then he stepped forward using the momentum from Damien and himself bringing the blade over his head and clasping it with both hands, seeing him overextended to the left he came down in a vertical strike while his hand was extended. Mythos was used to Fury, and Brute Strength, and Acrobatics, and overcompensating movements but this lesson... was teaching him something more than just Djem So, it was teaching him True swordsmanship. Mythos' heart beat faster when he realized one simple thing, this was the greatest Bladesman he had ever crossed sabers with... How many had died by his hand? Truly he knew little than the fact that in the Primeval there was not a Bladesman who could match him... at least, none that Mythos knew about..

(Lol true. A great way to be enjoyed by others is to write an interesting story. That was the first thing I worked on. But hey, your good at it already!)

Seeing his arm thrust to the side, Damien smiled internally. The kid was learning. Of course he couldn't voice the appraisal lest he let it go to his head. While he was bringing his lightsaber back, Damien watched his opponent raise his hands high for an obvious vertical strike. He could have used Force Speed to react in easy times, but he needed the boy to see what happened, to be able to calculate and adjust in real time.

So instead of cheating in the session, Damien turned his body to the side at just the right time that the blade passed in front his chest. Whipping his own around, he brought it from his chest outward to force his opponents away again. Then, he changed things up. Diem so was the study of lightsaber defense, but now was the time to let the boy see his own defenses without it.

Thrusting his free arm, which was closest to Mythos, he sought to slam a blow into his opponents face while his weapon was outreached. Next he would throw a kick outward and down simultaneously in a calf crunching blow. Following through with the solid placement, whether he landed on dirt or flesh, he thun spun his body back the way it was previously, carrying the momentum with a whip like motion towards his enemies head.

Now he would really learn. Yes saber play dealt with footwork, as did all martial skills, but it also had to do with multiple fronts at once. He had a punch seeking to disorient, a kick which could snap calf bones, and a saber attack that could kill.

[member="Darth Mythos"]

Mythos watched as his lightsaber sliced through Air and it was now Mythos that was outstretched and overreaching, he payed for his ignorance by catching a blow to his face that did a little more than just disorient. Mythos was hard on his heels but it was only Battle Precog that allowed him to avoid the blow to the Calf out of sheer instinct even with his nose open like a hose bleeding profusely. Mythos backed off and bent his knees seeking to get a tighter more focused center mass while his Lightsaber was was whipped about and around and noticed that there came the Killing blow in the form of his lightsaber angled at his head.

Instead of blocking the attack and parrying it dead in it's tracks Mythos spun his saber in his wrist and allowed the saber to pass as his opponent opponent spun and his momentum increased. Dipping his lightsaber as well as his head the saber passed above him and before it could come back in the whip motion Mythos popped back up and slammed his saber to his right to keep his opponents saber from coming back, it was simple maneuver that got a bit more complex next. Mythos stepped forward trying to pass by the Saber while still keeping contact with it and carrying his saber inside and executing a horizontal slash while his opponents saber was extended.

Mythos was getting the hand of Djem so with each encounter and with each clash of the blades yet he still knew he was hopelessly outmatched, the Way Damien moved seemed effortless, While Mythos was Fighting with every ounce of his strength and Fury Damien seemed to move just enough to match Mythos and not a step too much, the way he fought spoke of his mastery and his excellence, and the blood dripping from Mythos' face was a testament to the fact that Mythos would not have lasted much if this was a real combat of life and death.

(Lol your wording on that was a bit weird. I believe you mimicked Damien's counter, keeping your blade against my own before sweeping it in towards his head? I'm going with that, so let me know if I was incorrect. Kind of hope I'm not cause I have a cool image to dodge in my mind.)

Damien felt his lightsaber swing by, utterly untouching the flesh it sought. Next, before he could sweep it back the way it came, he felt Mythos' own catch his in the same fashion his had done.

Watching the motions of his opponent as he moved his arm along the inside of his open defenses, Damien knew his neck would be severed soon - why had he avoided using his helmet!? - so as the blade came he followed the same flow of direction.

The movement carried his body sideways, and he simply continued the motion, appearing to fall over, yet instead the Force gripped him in a sturdy hold at his command. Carrying him like an aid teaching their student gymnastics, it allowed him to perform a stationary handless cart wheel at immense speeds. In the blink of an eye, he was upright in the same place he had been before.

Now using the astonishing momentum, Damien sought to bring a devastating double hand side swipe at Mythos. If he managed to block, there would be no parry. Dodging was the best plan, even with it though there was a chance it would be damaging nonetheless.

Damien wondered whether his student could handle his motion of acrobatics. It was also the first time he had attempted such while using the ferocious skill set of Juyo; it was likely he hadn't used such a strength backed blow since he had his CZAR Enhancements.

[member="Darth Mythos"]

(It was 3am here when i wrote it but yes you are exactly right the defensive counter XD)

Mythos had fought Fast and skilled but what Damien Demonstrated was a maneuver that made his jaw drop. Juyo is such a Perfect and advanced form that Mythos smiled. Djem so was nice, Great Defense, but Juyo was Brutality and Strength.

Mythos' Excellency Using Juyo was due to his Fascination for it and its' ability to outmatch any other style in offence by incorporating every other style. So by Damien using this display of Juyo to Mythos had also added the component of Djem so that was missing from it making it by the existance of djem so, more complete.

Bringing his Lightsaber back from his horizontal slash he could t help but to laugh, he took a step back and made the blade angle at the attack, the attack so fast it resembled a shot from a blaster bolt. Angling his body sightly as the attack was a blimp of light.

He understood it, it was not a perfect understanding but enough to block attacks directed at him in a way that would redirect opponents. Once the tip of the blade touched his opponents blade he stepped back in an effortless move to create space between him and his opponent. Then he would focus on defending

Damien was partly dumbfounded. An attack that would have shattered bone instantly with a physical weapon was blocked as if a nuisance! But he did not know this Mythos, maybe he had enhancements such as CZAR, or was a species derivative that held great strength.

Stepping back Damien stared at the younger man, "Well it seems you have the basic understandings. Anything else you wish to learn that I may know?"

[member="Darth Mythos"]

Mythos caught his breath slowly and methodically, letting out a long drawn out breath that brought his saber back to his side and bowed in the form of Makashi. Once he wiped the blood from his nose and snapped it back into place causing a ripple through the force of Dark energy. Pain was such that it beat at a very particular frequency in the Force.

Once ready and Calm, his emotions out of the Way, Mythos prepared his stance yet again this time brandishing Myth, his Shoto lightsaber and wielding it on his left hand. Pride with it's black bade and Phond Crystal and Myth with it's short blade and Pure Stygium.

"Jar'kai.... I am not ready to wield dual weapons with the same efficiency as i do a single blade.... do you know of this ? Can you teach me?"

Mythos' eyes locked on to him and he took a stance he had seen on the frescoes of Atrisia, depicting old Jar'kai warriors that had begun to master the style tens of thousands of years before the battle of Yavin.

Damien nodded, "I do. Yet I haven't a second lightsaber on me. So it will be a lesson of its uses and weaknesses." He said then moved into his traditional Ataru stance, but deactivated his saber. The youth would now see the skills he had trained the hardest in his life: Ataru combined with Trakata.

"When you use a single attack in other styles, Jar'kai always has two. Attack once with one, then an immediate follow through with the other. Or utilize the secondary as a defensive weapon, so its almost like using one style with the combination of Djem so. However, you will soon see, blocking with dual blades tends to be difficult. All your opponent has to do is use swift precise attacks to maneuver past your defense, or simply strike hard repeatedly until it breaks." Damien said, "You begin this time!"

[member="Darth Mythos"]

Mythos smiled and pulled out a Blue Lightsaber he took from [member="Tulkas"] so long ago, a lightsaber that used to bring justice and peace to the Galaxy. Mythos had used it in his early years of an Acolyte. "I always come prepared"

knowing that the Master would catch that Saber he wasted no time in entering an attack rotation with Both Pride and Myth. Myth being a shoto, was held upside down covering his left forearm but his right arm entered with a vertical strike that came with the power of Mythos' hip and angled at his shoulder to split him in half, turning his wrist he came back up with it in the same angle but with the blade coming upwards and the Shoto following with a Horizontal Strike aimed at his eyes.

He moved spinning as his blades came at Damien one after another in the same Direction. Using a force jump he resembled Helicopter blades spinning around in a light show of Light and Black Saber Cores.

The Final move he executed while crashing down was switching his shoto from being held upside down to being held right side up, and came down with an overhand chop aimed at both his shoulders.

If that attack was blocked he would do a back flip and aim a boot to his chin, place his hands on the floor and complete a cartwheel to be at a distance.

Damien caught the lightsaber hilt, and activated it with a grin. He had never attempted Jar'kai with Trakata. Always a time for first though. As the first attack cake towards his shoulder, Kalligs saber was spun around to the outside to slam into Mythos', allowing it to keep its trajectory but pushing it past limits to harm Damien. Then it was on the return path, and Damien simply pushed it further with the lightsaber befriended to him by his opponent.

Having thrown off Mythos' center of attack, Damien prepared to go on the offensive, but was caught off guard as the man suddenly launched into the air. Recognizing the logical next move, his lightsabers met in a cross that began roughly mid chest and ended blocking his head.

Let the man attempt to kick his chin, he would wind up with half a foot on the ground scorching.

Then when Mythos landed, Damien lunged forward, and as he did so he deactivated both lightsabers! Now his opponent would need to worry about where the attacks came from, when, and the distance he would need to parry, dodge, or block! Such was the use fullness of Trakata.

When within arms reach, both blades suddenly came on, both at separate striking points. One in an overhand strike aimed for the shoulder, the other going in for a side swipe, which if successful would cleave the other until both sabers met ina capital L fashion.

[member="Darth Mythos"]

Myhos had seen Trakata before at the hands of his Master Ophidia, but now he was given a chance to learn it and to see it in action. Mythos dropped back in a defensive stance getting the distance he needed for the over hand chop to miss and clipped a device on his lightsaber that made his blade look and preform much like a lightclub for a few seconds.

The Sheer size of the blade and it's massive bulk made it capable of big defensive maneuvers and the songsteel hilt was weightless, so they could be done on the fly, however the power would soon go out because of such a power surge.

He countered in a Soresu movement with his right hand that started from the hip angling the blade to his opponent. Meeting the sideswipe where it started with a loud clash he made the black blade make a circular motion stepping forward, clashing with the second blade,and then a final push to the right in an effort to disarm.

It was then his second hand came into motion, to attack at his face with Myth in a move to cut his hands or arms off, ending at a jab at his neck, and a swift jump kick to the stomach to push him back and land in a reasonable distance prepared and ready for a counter attack.

Damien felt both blows block, but the second the first was done he spun the blade in a circle that passed over his shoulder and brought the blade back around towards his enemies shoulder. Whether it struck or not, Damien allowed the momentum of the second block and attempted disarming to spin him around, to bring both blades side by side into a powerful double blow.

He couldn't be aware of the deep groove slashed into his armor along his back by the lightsaber from his enemy!

But then the blade befriended to him, came up and around, seeking the mans ribs. However, it couldn't be known save by the best of the best martial artists, that such was utterly a feint. When the defense came up, for it would or his enemy would be wounded, Damien would seek to thrust Kalligs Scorching Lightsaber forward to skewer the younger man.

Of course there was the potential of dodging, to which a simple change if direction for the first blade would be due. Unless the man leapt out of the trajectory of both, and this far Mythos had yet to do such, having only moved far when it suited his own needs.

There was one problem with Mythos' techniques in battle and that was the fact that he never, ever carried Armor to protect himself from, his Pride and Arrogance did not afford him the Luxury of such things.

As Damien Spun and Mythos' shoto was shot from his hands he side stepped to dodge the Faint and used the force to bring back the Lightsaber from it's trajectory and come down with an "X" Chop to split the Warrior in half but... He had miscalculated.

While he as bringing the Shoto back and sidestepping what the thought to be a faint or an attack he could trade for a better attack he did not see the Skewer from the blade that split his tendons and impaled him through the side of a rib by a miracle missing vital organs. Mythos' eyes shot in pain as both his lightsabers dropped to the floor and his hands came to hold the blade that now went through him... He was going to die... He was going to die if Damien didn't do something soon. Dropping to the sand as blood covered his hands and darkness covered his eyes he could not help but to let out a small chuckle covered in blood due to his internal injuries...

"Nice shot.."

Damien knelt down, and placed a hand to the youths side. Instantly tendrils of the darkside would weave themselves into the cells of the mans healthy flesh. Through force of will, he began to coerce them back together piece by piece. Muscle tissue came together, then skin, until there was not even a blemish to signal there had ever been a wound.

"It will hold as long as it is left undamaged. I recommend going to a healing center, shocking it with the darkside to rupture it again, and heal it properly. Its what I do." Damien said, helping the lad up, "You are a capable fighter. You learn quickly, and will be of great service to the Empire. We may continue tomorrow or the next, if you wish. For now go see a doctor."
