A New Hope?

Iturizu Yuvie

Yuvie sat upright on the medical bed, looking down slightly, a bit annoyed by the force restraints on her wrists, they were uncomfortable and not being about to use her arms properly was getting on the Siths nerves. "Is this really necessary, even if I wanted to try and escape with my current condition and the amount of Jedi wandering around I'd not last a second".

The inquisitor had been brought to main medical facility on Kessal after the skirmish the the spice mines. From what she had been told the First Order storm trooper destroyed a majority of the facility, meaning neither the Empire of the SJO won the fight. Now she spent the following hours laying on the bed while being attended to by Jedi healers, her inquisitor outfit being replaced by a straight white hospital garb.

Despite the care and surprising kindness of the Jedi she was still filled with anger, mainly at the First Order and that trooper they sent, she may have only seen him for a second, but that armor, and weapons.

The empire no longer used clones as much, mainly locally trained forces, only the First Order used clones in a large military degree, made it easier to brain wash them from a young age. Yuvie clenched her fist, just thinking about him made her mad 'when I get my hands on that man, he will feel every inch of my wrath'.

Yuroic stood guard over the Sith Acolyte. He had his arms crossed. His armour was in storage, damaged but repairable, Yuroic had a life of repairing things others threw out, it be tough but doable. His robes were shabby and rough but he felt comfortable in them. His gaze was fixated on the woman. Your anger can harm others. Right now you do not have it controlled. Also, be a pain to try and hunt you down if you made a run for it. Better to just have you restrained.

His wounds were still healing themselves but he was stubborn, he refused to remain in bed after one day. There was too much to do, too much to restore. While the battle on Kessel was a failure on the Empire side, in his mind, it had made its mark. He was just glad that not many civilians were hurt in the end. His gaze wandered over the Sith and her thoughts were dark and hateful. That much he could tell already.

Give up your hate girl. The soldier is gone, and your chances of leaving our company to hunt him is slim. He had suffered several wounds from some sniper with a half decent aim. His main concern was the bounty hunter who so casually killed innocent lives. Tell me, what was your mission here? Kessel is under Silver Jedi rule, there is no spice trade on this asteroid. So as this couldn't be a raid for spices, why were you here?

She looked at the Jedi with a frown, "What part of 'even if I wanted to' don't you understand, I am not and idiot, trying to escape would be futile". She looked out the window to self explain the predicament she was in, surrounded by the supposed enemy, no where to go, and without a doubt a not so welcoming party if she did ever do back to the empire.

"How are you not angry, even if not at that solider, why not the Transodhian, I've never understood how you Jedi are able to contain your emotions, seems counter productive to me. Once thing the Jedi said stuck home, why was she often filled with hate? It was originally towards the now defunct Resergent Empire and the Dominion since it was their fighting that wound up killing her family, but what was she directing it at now. With no way of knowing who the solider was, and a most likely permanent residence here, what was she directing her anger at, or was the young Sith just frustrated.

"Hu the raid? it was a combination of propaganda, subterfuge, and piracy. Aimed from what I know to make the criminal underworld in Kessel fly the imperial flag, a guerilla warfare campaign starter". "Personally I was indifferent about it, just another way to achieve victory against what the Empire called a tyrannical regime of militaristic Force users, but if they Empire is working with people like that Trandoshian, I don't want to be part of that". "I guess they also lied about your government, from what I've seen you are not a tyrannical regime, maybe a little lax on the whole law enforcement, but in no way bad".

She had joined the Empire because of its so called commitment to peace and control, something she wanted greatly, and willing to do dirty tasks to attain said peace. Though this war against the SJO, it was not about peace and control, just another way take land, feeding the public lies all the way.

He nodded his head. She was sensible not to try and break free, however most Sith were not that smart. "In the past other Sith tended to be bolder and risk the chances of escape. This is cautionary as I am yet to trust you will not follow their suit." He took a short pause and drank some water. "Doesn't mean you can't earn my trust though."

"Why am I not angry? Very simple." He paused again, stroking his beard. "Did you not hear him talking to himself? The Trandoshian is sick, he isn't right in his mind. I cannot be angry at a being that is unwell. What he needs is support and medication, not people attacking him and killing him.

What he did was wrong and innocent people he killed deserve justice but my anger will not give them that. My anger won't find him faster or stop him hurting others. Patience is needed, allow the Force to guide my path. Your anger blinds you." He took another swig of his water.

"Anger blinded you from the Empire's true motives. Perhaps if you had stopped for a moment and studied the Empire objectively, you could see past their propaganda. Alas, you are not the only one to fall for their lies." He gave a deep sigh. "Well, from our reports your mission failed. If anything, you drove those who wavered from Silver Jedi control to become loyal. Attacking and killing innocent dock workers and civilians, which not only did our bounty hunter do but some Imperials too. Seems you spread a message of fear and as the Jedi defended them, they are willing to give up criminal activities for better protection."

"How about yourself? Do you wish to leave the Empire?" While he wasn't convinced she would take his offer, it was worth a try.

Made sense, quite a few Sith, if not hardly any were like her, "If you haven't noticed I am not like most Sith, all I do if follow the code in a literal sense, not just use it as a easy means to attain power or follow in the foot steps of some power hungry crazed old guy". They way he stroked his bread was very typical of the stereotypical Jedi she had heard about, but then again stereotypes exist for a reason.

Yuvie gave a small sarcastic laugh at his words, "You Jedi are too forgiving, that Trandoshian was well beyond saving, sure he was insane but some people just need to be put down, and that guy was one of them, even if he was open to change the planets he has most likely attacked would demand his death". That assumes look soon faded when he continued to speak.

His words seemed logical, getting angry, frustrated, that would do no good, but emotions were what gave her strength, she could not just give that up on a whim. Further talked made her fell guilty of her actions, she had done certain action to further the empires goals and influence over galaxy, all in the name of peace and prosperity, all the time being told the cause and end justify the means.

Even so there were some things that she could not let go of, "Even if you say that not every one in the Empire is that bad, I can see now that they have done unforgivable act, but to label them all bad is not true". "There are others that fight for the Empire like me because they believe that it will provide the peace this galaxy need, and refrain from doing acts others would consider evil, and those that live under Imperial rule are to the most extent content and happy, unlike those that live under Sith or the First Order".

She shook her head slightly at the Jedi, "I can not just give up on the Empire, perhaps it can change.... but I am open to learning from others, as you said, this hate of mine will not do me any good, though I am not one to give up my teachings, seeing what the other side has to offer would be beneficial".

His friendly debate with the young Sith was invigorating. It was nice to be able to discuss things with an opponent without them trying to find a way to kill him off guard. Contrary to most Jedi, Yuroic didn't think the Sith evil or enemies of the Force. Different ideologies always need to be respected. She was the example of this, not wanting to kill or harm others but still follow the code of the Sith. Her view sadly on the Galactic Empire was askew, but she was already seeing its flaws.

"I do not tar all with the same brush, unlike you. I know that there are Imperials who follow the Empire because they need that leader, that control that empires bring. Sad fact is, the leaders of these empires and their higher ups, they are the ones that seem to crave pain, bloodshed and destruction of Jedi." Yuroic stated as he finished his water, scratching his neck idly.

"Yes, your Galactic Empire seems to work from your view. But on Kessel they sort spice, criminals and other illegal things. Similar to the Sith Empire. It is not the many's fault but the few. They are also seeking the destruction of my order. Do you think that is fair? That my people must die for your empire to work?

If the Galactic Empire wasn't so focused on killing Jedi and destroying other factions, there could be peace. I know this works with the First Order, Galactic Alliance and the Sith Empire too. But the Jedi just want peace." Yuroic sighed before sitting on a chair, his head hung low. He was resenting the bloodshed.

"The people truly suffering are those caught in the middle of our belief war."

This talk was becoming more debated by the second, but it seemed that both her and the Jedi were enjoying each others company to some extent. leaning about someone else though your own eye and not that of your superiors was, enlightening for Yuvie. She did not feel that her beliefs or way of using the force was bad, but pangs of guilt and and sadness seemed to stab at her heart as Yuroic continued his speech.

Why was the Empire so intent on destroying the Jedi? Sure the Sith Empire had their reasons as to her, most of the were fanatics brain washed to follow their overlords and what not. The First Order seemed to avoid war were it can, though in most cases from what she had heard was mainly on the defensive during the last war with the Galactic Alliance. She shook her head at the Jedi "I guess you are right, no one should have to suffer just because of what government they follow. I can see now why Empire paints you as a tyrannical dictatorship regime, as it is the only way they can justify war with you, I bet if others found out about the Empires true intention, systems under their control would rebel, just like Skariff did... unfortunately that did not go well".

She sighted again, looking out the window of her room, "But now what, I cannot go back, I would be executed on spot, probably by some made up crime and as a traitor, and I cannot stay here, they would come for me and others would die... I know to much". She placed her head against her knees life had taken a dramatic turn for the worse, and all due to that stupid Twi'lek, talking about how great and loving the empire is, all sun shine an rainbows, it was all lies.

He listened intently on what she had to say. Not interrupting her as she agreed on his comments. It was fair to say that the skirmish on Kessel had lifted away the veil that the Empire blinded her with. He poured her a water and offered her the drink before refilling his own.

"Ah, well some times we need to paint our enemies as monsters. Look at the Jedi, we often paint Sith as monsters who wish to kill and consume all that stand in their way. Yet here you lay, a Sith that wishes her people to be safe, living in peace. So don't judge the Empire too harshly there.

However, their persistent attacks are troubling. The Order has only so many people. We cannot afford to continue wars and lose so many lives." He sighed, while death was the only certainty in life, for some it came too soon. And it came too often.

"When well enough to travel, you'll be taken to Voss. You don't get to leave our company yet. Anyway, you don't put us in any more danger than we already are in. Once on Voss, you can learn more of the Jedi way, perhaps your views might change. Not to a Jedi necessarily. But you could become a Grey Force User.

I know I often think myself moving towards a Grey Jedi, not tempted by the Sith side but wish to explore darker Force powers, see what they offer."

She slightly sniggered to herself at the mans words, "It is more then Just Sith that run the Empire, greedy Moffs that are willing to genocide half a planet to deal with a few rebel cells, power hungry executives using slave labor to increase the output of their factories, it is more then just the Sith". "Though nlike use their is truth in the way you paint said Empires, you Jedi on the other hand, have done nothing to receive the propaganda other governments spread about you". For a brief moment the Sith shared the Jedi's pause for all those that had lose their lives in the fighting, she had become a Sith to try and prevent it from happening to other as it had happened to her, but all that her action caused was more suffering.

As the Jedi continued to talked Yuvie flexed her muscles, the Jedi healing like Ottsuki had said worked wonders, although exhausted she was confident that the majority of the wounds inflicted in her at the battle had fully healed. "The quicker we hove the better I think, the Empire is more persistent that you believe, I would not be surprised if they sent an elite task force to kill everyone in this hospital because of my presence, an again blame it on someone else". "In regards to becoming a grey Jedi, it is not that I don't use Jedi teachings, and more to the fact I follow the Sith code, that is why I identity as a Sith, and that was how I was raised, so I do no think that will be something to easily give up".

The Mirilan shuffled to the side of the bed, sitting up next to the Jedi, "More over beofre you go off learning dark arts you might what to have your wounds healed....though if you would allow me". Yuvie held out her hands, using the Jedi healing method she had learned from Ottsuki on the knights I'll treated wounds, she had rested enough for now.

Yuroic watched as the girl attempted to heal his wounds. "Odd seeing a Sith use such a strong Light side Force power. Often it is too difficult for them to use it." He commented as he healed the rest of his wounds. There was still a lot of the more serious injuries that required more skill hands than either of them would have. However, he wasn't that bother by waiting for a healer or someone else to come later. He saw that the battle had left others with more pressing wounds.

"I ain't running into the dark Force territory yet. Just saying that I wish to explore it at a further date. Perhaps when I have a better understanding of what my Force capabilities are." Yuroic added. He was interested in seeing how powerful he was in the Force, seeing how far he could push himself. It was dangerous but knowing your limit meant you could never push too far when in the middle of battle. Never doubt your skill when you know how far you can go.

She gave the Jedi a small pout at his comment, "On a certain assignment a Jedi bested me in combat, and we talked about the force and our own philosophical views and powers, his name was Ottsuki, taught me the basics on force healing and some other things, I've just been practicing is all". She was not sure if her attempt was working but she had to repay the man for saving her life, and owing a favor could one day come back and cause some problems.

"I was not implying that you where... *sight* never mind, I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunities to delve into powers of the dark side in the future". Slowly the light faded from her hands as she started to tire out, it seemed that his wounds where a bit to much for the young Sith to properly heal. "So, when do we leave, or do you want to continue discussing trivial matters?
