A New Teacher

[Lauren Walsh]

Lauren did as instructed placing her dominant foot behind her other, and then she stepped forward swinging the blade overhead. She repeated it several times till she reached the end of the space they were in and looked to Krest. It was simple enough, but she figured it was something important.. or he was making her look like a fool either way she figured that she better do as he said. Lauren smiled and looked to him curious of what she needed to do next.

Krest nodded slow. "Good, you're consistent. Now, do that again, only as soon as your blade is down I want to to swipe up from your bottom right to your upper left while taking step with your left foot. Right foot down slash. Left foot up slash." More basics. He wanted her to be able to chain together slashes and jabs and the likes. If she could do that, the rest would be easy.

She smiled and the first several times she either slashed when she should of stepped or fell cause she messed up both. She kept trying though not wanting to fail already and she finally got the hang of it. She kept doing it for him till she reached the end of the line again, rather proud of herself. "like this?" She said with a giant smile of self accomplishment.

He nods. "Very good. Now, after the second slash I want you to cut in a way you think would add to the combo. You're free to pick what you want. If it works out, you'll know." He smiles to @[member="Lauren Walsh"]. She was getting it at least.

She did so cutting down and then up to the left like instructed before and then she slashed sideways to the right. She looked up to him and pondered if that was any good, she did it again and tried down again. She looked at him and wondered if he had anything to say. After all she wanted to make sure she wasn't wasting her effort. This was after all his instructions

Krest nodded his head slow before waving her gaze off. "Don't look at me. Keep yourself centered. You will know when it feels right. It will feel fluid, natural."

Lauren tried it over and over trying different combinations and even adding additional swings if it felt right. She smiled and kept it up, working up a sweat. This wasn't so bad she thought as she kept it up over and over again, focusing on her and the saber. She didn't mind it actually. @[member="Krest"]

Krest smiled, watching her closely. She was learning well. Hell, she was learning fast, which was something Krest simply enjoyed. So he waits for her to be finished, nodding slow at @[member="Lauren Walsh"]'s movements.

Lauren smiled as she comes to a stop to him, her body coated in a thin layer of perspiration her outfit sticking to her skin. She stayed silent and was curious what he would do next. Lauren turned off the saber and waited for some sort of command. She was still new to this whole training thing.

Krest clapped his hands together. "Good, you've learned the basics." He smirks, watching @[member="Lauren Walsh"]. Still so much to learn..

"Good, so what is next? " She asked not sure what to address him asa. After all she was new to this whole thing.

"For now you keep practicing, I got nothing more I can show you that you won't learn on your own." He smiles, shrugging at her.

ok.... she thought... really that was all? She sighed and looked at him. " you don't know any cool force tricks? surely you know something you can teach me.?"

Krest smirked, ruffling @[member="Lauren Walsh"]'s hair. ​"No, not yet at least. I'm sure you'll learn cool force tricks, but keep practicing with the blade."
