A Normal Day on Nar Shaddaa (Jenna Templar)

Skylar looked at the lady, "And I don't think you're going to tell me that info right?" She looked up, and chuckled. She couldn't b believe that this woman has once been like her, but with parents.

"I would ask you to show me the way out of a life of crime, but I don't think I'm ready to leave yet. I want to save up some more credits, than buy my way off this rock, visit some places then join one of the factions, when I'm ready. Probably a few more weeks, then I'll be away from this place for good. "

Jenna nodded to Goldrod's plan, saying "Good idea. But what if I shrunk down that few more weeks to a few more hours?" she placed the datachip in her hand and closed it with both of hers. "That's about 8,000 credits right there. All yours. Provided you know what you're doing with it. I've still got a tracer program on it, so if you use it for something stupid I'll know." She then stood and said "But if you want to try using it, and yourself, for something better, give me a call." She then reached into her purse and handed a small cared with the name 'Templar' on it and a number.

Skylar looked at the lady like she was crazy, "8,000 credits? Your handing a thief 8,000 credits?" She stared dumbfounded.

She took the card, and looked at the name, "Well, if you're giving me your last name, Templar, you should at least know mine. Like, my real one, if you ever need to find me. It's Ichor, it means blood of the gods."

Jenna nodded and said "Oh don't worry, Ichor. I'm sure we'll be seeing each other again." she then turned to walk off before stopping and saying "And by the way, I wasn't handing that money over to a theif. I was handing it over to a potential partner." She then winked at her before finally walking out f the room and eventually out of the apartment. She walked slow enough in case Ichor were to change her mind, or at the very least give her a chance to make for the spaceport as fast as possible with all those credits.

Skylar stayed sitting for a bit, digesting what Templar had just said, Potential partner? Does she want me to work with her. Better than thieving. She dashed down the stairs and ran up to her, "Wait! What do you mean by partner?" She caught up with Templar, and slowed down to match her pace.

Jenna stopped and smiled when Ichor had called to her. She turned, hearing her question, before answering "I mean if you're interested to know what it's like to be using those skills of yours to be paid the old fashioned way, you might consider joining me. You ever hear of the...." she stopped and looked around, making sure no one was listening in, before whispering "Omega Protectorate?" She gave her a minute to think and answer before adding "I happen to work with them. And my line of work tends to take me places all across this galaxy. Some good, some bad, some a bit of both. But it's an honest living nonetheless. And that's what I'm offering you. Because when I was younger than you someone came around and gave me the same option."

Skylar thought for a bit, then answered, spotting the old man, "Do you want to go back inside where there's a bit more privacy? This time, as acquaintances, not as enemies." She turned around and started back towards thebuilding.

Jenna smiled at her request before following Ichor back into the bulding. She did a double-check behind just to make sure no one was watching or around. It helped making sure that not everyone was listening in on this conversation, especially because Jenna had originall meant to be off Nar Shaddar by now without anyone knowing. However, given how [member="Skylar Ichor"] knew the importance of privacy, it was good to know she was willing to talk alone as well. Once they were both back inaisde Jenna closed the door and kept a pridful smile on her face while waiting to hear what Ichor had to say.

Skylar closed the thin, moth eaten curtain so that a gray light shone through with patches of the actual light outside. "To answer you question, no I don't know what the Omega Protectorate is, unfortunately. What is it?" She sat down on one of the few pieces of furniture.

A little suprised she didn't know Jenna answered "Well, to put it simply, we're the good guys. We do what we can to make the galaxy a little more safer. Sure the Republic and the Jedi help, but we're the ones who pull more of the muscle around. We deal with everything else that the Republic doesn't. Being it out in the open, or behind closed doors. That's where people like me come in."

Skylar raised an eyebrow, "People like you?" She was thinking of just packing up and leaving with Templar, but she wanted to be ready for the outside world.

Jenna nodded and explained "I'm what you'd call a secret agent, of sorts. I deal with assignments given to me to help uphold the law of the Protectorate and keep the people safe. And I get paid for it too. Sometimes a lot more then what you're holding in your hand." She indicated the datachip. From there she went on to say "My job tend to range from simply being around someone who need protection to taking stuff that doesn't belong to the wrong people who have it."

Skylar's eyes widened, "Whoa, cool." She realized that she has to make her decision soon so she sat thoughtful for a while thinking about her choices.

"I would come with you, I really would, but I need to get ready, and that'll take some time, maybe a few days. When I'm ready, I'll join you, okay?" Skylar sort of gave a half smile to Templar.

Hearing Ichor's answer Jenna only nodded and said "That's find, kid. Again, you've got my card. If need be you can call and I'll have someone pick you up and off the duster planet. Just know that it's an option. And you're better off than most in your psoition. When you're ready, you're ready. Until then just try to stay out of trouble." She winked to her with a more friendly smile.

Skylar did a full smile and held out her hand, "Skylar. Pleasure meeting you, I'll see you in a few days, hopefully."

Taking her hand and shaking it Jenna said "Hopefully." After that she turned to leave before adding "Oh, one more thing Skylar. If you are interested, try not throwing around your name too often. Part of being a secret agent is that you keep most things about yourself a secret." After that Jenna only walked to the shuttle port, a small smile on her face the whole time, as she hoped [member="Skylar Ichor"] would eventually agree to her deal. Even if they wouldn't work together or if she didn't join the OP, as long as she used the money to get herself into a better life than she had now. That would be enough for Jenna to know she'd done some true good in her life.

Skylar smiled, "I will. See you then." She watched Templar, walk away from the building. Until our next meeting.
