A position and it's price.

Erebos Stood in his office aboard his own private floor aboard the almost finished Zuguruk station in orbit over Csilla. He wore his armor along with his faceless mask, he was waiting for someone he had invited to come. An acolyte he had seen would become promising in the future, [member="Dar Moraal"] was his name. An individual that seemed to share Erebos's thirst for knowledge, someone that could prove to either have a mutually beneficial relationship with or simply become a very effective tool in the future, but alas only time could tell in the end.
Before him a few droids were putting the finishing touches on the private communication array for Erebos's floor and would only be used by him. Turning his head he could see that Dar was on his way up the elevator, which would open up on a large corridor leading into his office in a straight line. "He's punctual... that is a good trait to have." Erebos said to himself, his voice distorted and deep through his masks vocal filters.

Dar was here for one purpose. The lure of knowledge. Everything else was secondary. Walking briskly down the corridor he was pondering on what this [member="Darth Erebos"] would have him do first. Entering the office he took his first glance at his possible employer. He allowed himself to be impressed. Nodding respectively he closely guarded his thoughts and emotions not wanting to betray anything. " Greetings Darth Erebos I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long." Dar's heavily modified and metallic voice hide his raspy breathing.

Erebos turned once more away from the view port and took a few steps forwards. "Greetings [member="Dar Moraal"], you didn't keep me waiting long at all in fact you are quite punctual, that is a good habit." He said calmly as he walked towards Dar and stopped a few steps away from him. "I must ask you are you familiar with the great sith lords of the past? specifically Darth Andeddu?" He asked bluntly, Erebos wasn't one to beat around the bush or waste time on needless pleasantries with his equals or inferiors. A trait he liked in those around him, needless flattery and honeyed words were only useful against the sith lords with bad dispositions and the like after all.

"I like to think I am quite familiar with them but sadly Darth Andeddu draws a blank" Dar just stood there literally like a statue, not even seeming to breathe. Then his metallic voice breaks the silence " But I am quite willing to learn about him, he sounds like a very... Interesting topic" Shifting slightly he gazed out the window of his office and silently admired the view. He was going to enjoy this endeavor he was sure of it.

Erebos gestured for [member="Dar Moraal"] to look towards his desk were a holographic image of the planet Prakith. "Darth Andeddu is believed to be the progenitor of the darth title and was a very powerful and knowledgeable individual many millennium ago. He lived to be a few centuries old even though like you he was a human... Do you know how he was able to do that dar?" Erebos asked, his tone similar to that of a teacher teaching a disciple.
Erebos would allow Dar to answer his question as he walked to the seat next to his desk and sat into it, opposite him on the other side of the desk another chair rose from the floor to allow dar a seat if he chose to do so.

Dar remained standing. During talks his large size and height made "convincing" people to his side of the argument was simple but he suspected this wouldn't work of [member="Darth Erebos"]. "Interestingly enough I have heard from my... contacts that there was an ancient method of transferring one self into a new host and I won't lie this piques my interest to the extreme" Dar couldn't help it. He was practically giddy on the inside. This promised of power and knowledge. He struggled to remain in a apathetic stance. "I... Suspect however that the method I describe was not the one used by this Darth Andeddu".

Erebos was now impressed with the acolyte's knowledge. "In fact he created that very method, to cheat death so to speak. He died though as it is inevitable in the end but that knowledge is still locked within his holocron. However much to my own annoyance this holocron was lost but has been obtained by someone neither of us can take it from. My wish is that you go to Prakith and investigate the remains of Andeddu's keep, hopefully some tome or ritual he hoarded has survived through time." Erebos then said as he expanded the hologram to show the system were the planet was held along with the hyperspace coordinates.
"If you go there and find anything useful to my studies on the force and sith magic and alchemy then I shall reward you with both a position in my company as well as your own ship." Erebos then finished as he turned his faceless mask towards [member="Dar Moraal"].

Dar's excitement finally showed. "Yes of course! I shall retrieve it right away!" His shoulders shook slightly which might have been laughter but can't tell for sure. Dar turned and stomped at a fast pace down the corridor and into the elevator. The thought of visiting such an ancient place exited him beyond measure. And the secret to an extended life-span as well! He entered his transport and set the course for the system. (Should I retrieve it in a separate thread or stay in this one?)

Erebos watched the excited acolyte leave his office with glee practically radiating off of him. It brought a smile to Erebos's lips to see [member="Dar Moraal"] so excited about obtaining knowledge, reminded him of himself even. If he showed the same enthusiasm in the future he could very well be what Erebos had searched for in the end... a possible worthy successor to all his knowledge and power.

Stomping through the corridor for the second time radiating an aura of triumphant purpose. He opened the office doors and nodded respectively. Placing the scrolls on his desk he retained his cold apathetic stance in the blink of an eye. "Despite the current condition of the scrolls I do not have a doubt that they can be recovered." The scrolls symbols and letters were faded away by age. Dar stood there not breathing again. ( here's the link to the thread http://starwarsrp.net/topic/73884-prakith/ )

Erebos had a small training droid in the shape of a ball floating around him when [member="Dar Moraal"] returned. When the scrolls were placed on his desk he looked at the them and carefully picked one up. "Hmm, Dar can you read the ancient sith language... or speak it for that matter?" He then asked as he looked over the scroll, it would be very hard to get anything useful out of them but restoring them wouldn't be out of the question. They would do for an initiation trial.
However the curious thing about sith magic and alchemy was that most of the time one must be able to read, write and speak the ancient sith language, a language he had only seen used by the sorcerers of the one sith but not outside their ranks as of yet.

Dar thought for a second. "I can passably speak the language, but sadly I can only read a couple of words." Dar glanced at the scrolls again and tried to catch a word. Sadly however the faded words plus his inexperience with reading the language made it impossible. "I am willing to learn the language however"
[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos nodded to [member="Dar Moraal"] as he closed the scroll and placed it on the desk. "That is something you should always strive for, self improvement." He said in a cheerful voice while he gestured Dar to follow him as he walked out of the office. "I believe I promised you a ship and position within my company didn't I? For starters being my intern should suffice to begin with as you'll need to learn how to delegate and not use intimidation but rather cunning when dealing with others. That combined with learning the basics of ZTI's business should be a good start." He said as he took the young acolyte into a large hall, his personal training hall.
Following after them in a silent glide through the air the small ball shaped droid stopped just short of a meter away from Erebos with a soft snap hiss as it floated in the air lazily, awaiting instructions.

"I would be honored" Dar glances at the ball droid. Then looked at Erebos. "I suspect you are correct cunning is more useful than intimidation in the long run though when you in a hurry intimidation gets the job done" Dar gazing around the training hall he silently wides he had one. Oh well that can wait. He turned his attention back to [member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos moved his hand up with and open palm, suddenly red force lightning came out of his palm. "I'm going to teach you how to use force spark, it is a lower form of force lightning that will cause the target to become numb when hit. I've found it useful as a non-lethal option and it is also a good way to intimidate an opponent as well." He began as he then spoke something in high sith to the ball droid. "Stotis" With that the ball droid began to glide around [member="Dar Moraal"], then it shot him with a blaster shot that was simply like an annoying bite, but that was it's purpose to annoy and distract. "You will be training against this droid, it will annoy and distract you but if you can work through that and hit it three times with force spark once you've learned it. Then I believe you will be ready to learn of the force from me along with the internship here at ZTI." With a wave he stopped the ball droid and it moved to an idle position. "Now are you ready to learn?"

"I've been ready" he glances at the droid. He wouldn't fail to a simple orb with a sting. He gathered all his hate and rage and fed it. He let it fester inside him and didn't bother hiding it. "I am prepared [member="Darth Erebos"]" He then takes a neutral stance and stares at the droid using the hate he gathered to try and access where the bolts will go. This wasn't part of the lesson but the sooner he learned to avoid and detect blaster fire the better.
[member="Darth Erebos"]

"All right, to begin with what is your source of power and how would you like it utilized? Do you wish for a burning rage that scorches your enemies? A cold rage that allows for undisturbed thought yet still more than half of the rage to power your power? Or perhaps an all consuming hatred?" He asked as he would structure the lesson according to what fueled [member="Dar Moraal"]'s power. The fuel that powered a power would influence it's impact, how it would come out and how to use it.
Dar moral wouldn't have to deal with the frustration of learning a new power or how to even begin to use it but that would be it. Erebos wouldn't coddle him, Dar would learn first hand that to get any scrap of power or knowledge from Erebos he'd have to struggle for it.
