A position and it's price.

Erebos took the other single hilt lightsaber that was on his belt and ignited it. "I will now go through the first movements of Shii-cho, you will watch and remember then for after I go through them once, I will do so again and you will follow the movements until they are perfect. Do you understand [member="Dar Moraal"]?" Erebos said as he took a few steps back to give them both the space that would be required to go through the movements. "Now I shall begin." He said as he took the shii-cho saluting stance and then moved in the first basic moves of the style, going through them slowly, transitioning from one to the other with full emphasis on each movement of his body to show them to Dar as well as he could.
Once he was done going through them once he stopped and took the saluting stance once again. "Do you understand the movements?"

Dar at first just watched. Clumsily at first he copied [member="Darth Erebos"]'s movements. Doing it several times he knew he was getting something wrong but to his untrained eye he couldn't see what it was. Again he copied [member="Darth Erebos"] but this time with more focus on the form. He continued until he felt satisfied with his progress.

Erebos observed [member="Dar Moraal"] when he attempted to copy his movements to begin with he allowed him to try and improve his form by himself. When he saw that Dar seemed to be confident in his form, He decided to correct him with telekinesis. "Get a feel for these stances, perfect them under my guidance because if you do it by yourself, you will get stuck in bad habits and sub-par forms." Erebos said as he then began to move with Dar as they went through the forms.
Erebos would keep it up for nearly an hour, making sure that Dar was getting the hand of the forms to a sufficient level as a beginner.
Under his armor, Erebos had been working up quite the sweat and was starting to feel uncomfortable in his armor but that was simply categorized as a minor annoyance. Moving into the saluting stance he then took a natural stance. "You will attack me now and I shall show you that to fight with the lightsaber you do not need over use complex movements or overt acrobatics." Erebos said as he brought the saber up so that it seemed to split his face and then he moved it in a half circle and pointed the saber diagonally downwards. "Now come at me."

Dar lunged at him. Not a very fast lunge, but a powerful one. Saber raised for a powerful yet accurate diagonal strike to the shoulder. He abandoned defense as his armor despite its vulnerability to lightening was very effective as armor. Dar was even tempted to try one of his mercenary tricks but knowing this was just a lesson didn't let his bloodlust get that far.

Erebos moved his hand up and placed his saber in the way, then he suddenly spun his wrist and deflected the saber away from himself, then he brought the blade right up against [member="Dar Moraal"]'s neck but didn't strike. "Do not loose all defense for a good striking offense, that is how you get yourself killed in a duel." He said as he then spun his wrist once more and brought the saber back into it's starting position.
Erebos was the better duelist but he knew he had still much farther to go until he would even consider himself a proficient duelist at best but then again he was his own worst critic.

Dar adjusted his stance as sugested by [member="Darth Erebos"]. He let his anger at being so easily countered fuel his next jab for Erebos's Abdomen. Fueled by his anger it was more graceful and powerful than his last attempt. Not really understanding what he just did he pondered on it for a second. It was clear after this he'd have to go on a trip to the sith library. So much he didn't know. He'd have a lot of work ahead of him if he were to reach his goals. But then again his goals will take years to see to fruition. He let that ambition fuel him as well. It'd come in handy during his training.

Erebos saw the jab coming towards him and took a step to the side as he brought his saber to bear to redirect the jab away from his abdomen though it also came very close to striking true. 'He's faster to react than I originally thought... I'll have to step it up a bit.' Erebos didn't hesitate now or hold back due to his opponents inexperience in the form, in the long run he thought it would simply become a detriment to his training.
Whipping his body into a turn he brought the saber around and aimed it towards the back of [member="Dar Moraal"]'s knees. The sabers they were using wouldn't cut through anything but the point of impact would be numb for five minutes but if the back of the head was hit it would knock the opponent out for the same duration.

Dar felt his left knee go numb. Another thing to be angry about added to the list. Twisting around he grabbed [member="Darth Erebos"]'s saber arm with the force and this time slashed at his knees as well. One cannot be expected to duel only with sabers. The force has a kind of... sophistication to it. Not using it would be wasting his resources. That and honor was a useless concept that limits ones abilities and denies them their full potential. Cunning fit into this as well. Fighting without cunning is foolish. Honor frowns at using your wit during battle in most cultures he's seen. Mandolorians are the exception to this of course. They have a sense of honor but they at least don't let it get in the way in combat.

As the saber was coming towards his knee he raised his leg up to allow it to hit the greaves which dissipated the numbness but still allowed it to come through. Feeling the force being used against him, he smiled under his mask. With a raised hand he brought his own power to bear. Red Force lightning erupted from the ground under [member="Dar Moraal"] but instead of striking him it formed a sort of cage around him. It was a ruse to give Erebos the small window he needed to jump back and turn his saber off. "If you want to see force power." He said as he brought up his hands and fire appeared out of the air and formed around his body and took the form of a large viper with two large fangs made of plasma. "I'll show you force power!" He said as the viper struck towards Dar.

Dar chuckled. The term trial by fire is all the more literal now. Unflinching he stands his ground as the serpent strikes him. Of course it worsened the condition of his armor but very much less so than the lightening. The pain was excruciating. Pain was a good way to break the weak. He refused to be weak. Falling to his knees he glared defiantly at [member="Darth Erebos"]. Then he decided to bring his own power to bear. The pain made him less focused but he pooled all his raw emotions and ambitions into it. He picked up a large number of the objects in the room and hurled them at his master. Pain. The pain was slowly getting to him. He didn't know if Erebos could see that but he hoped it didn't show through.

Erebos allowed the fire serpent to coil around [member="Dar Moraal"], it wasn't as hot as normal fire was, neither was it as hot as Erebos could make it. This was training after all and even though Erebos was being hard on Dar, he was still training him. As one of the objects that flew towards him, Erebos turned his head towards it and it stopped in mid air before he began to move. Putting his hands in front of the objects as they came hurtling towards him, he stopped all but a few but in his own defense he had to allow the fire serpent to die out.
As the objects stopped coming at him, Erebos raised his hands up in a martial art stance. A small crackling of lighting began to run through his hands and feet, if Dar would be struck by his blows there would be a hard electric shock. "If you wish to take this further then I will have to take this Deadly seriously." Erebos then said as it was clear he was ready to charge as fast as he could and only half of his force energy was used for the force lightning, the other was focused into his own body, increasing his speed, strength, reflexes, balance and agility.

Dar took an offensive stance. He was a master of the normal form of Echani. Fighting like this his whole life he was hardened to it. He literally viewed it as if his body were a separate entity and him just a bystander giving advice. Of course his master would fuel his strikes via the force. Maybe he could do so as well but being untrained as he was he might hurt himself. The dark side was a double edged sword after all. Preparing for the inevitable force enhanced battle he executed a complicated feint. Being the master of Echani he was it was executed flawlessly. He didn't know how it would be compared to his masters obvious use of force enhancements but he would expect nothing less of his master.
[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos wasn't a master of Echani but he could recolonize it's strikes easily, to counter the feint he went into a straight nerve strike from the Stava martial art followed into the flowing footwork of K'thri to double back around [member="Dar Moraal"]. Once he was behind him he executed an Echani strike of his own straight for Dar's lower back. Erebos knew he was up against a master as his own father had been master of the styles he himself was proficient but the way Dar fought wasn't anything like his father who had managed to blend all three styles into a single free flowing beautiful yet very deadly style.

Dar forgot to take into account the possibility his master had known more than one art. He had sadly only learned Echani but he had perfected it. Whirling around he suddenly crouched and tried to kick out his master's legs. Being outmaneuvered so easily annoyed him. Wanting to learn what his master used his giddiness peeked out for a second before being quashed by his stone like attitude. After he kicked out his master's legs he planned of striking multiple accurate and swift strikes to his master's face. He didn't know how well that mask of his doubled as armor or if it even was armor.
[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos hadn't taken a kick to his leg into account and was nearly forced onto his knee by the kick. When the first strike aimed at his face came, he didn't hesitate and instead of trying to dodge it he headbutted the fist with all his might. His mask like most of the armored parts of his armor was made out of a phrik/Duranium blend to have a lightsaber resistant yet very durable military grade armor to protect his vital areas.
The punch hurt him when it impacted on his mask but he fought through it and brought his leg straight up, aimed at [member="Dar Moraal"]'s cuts. He'd follow the strike up with a cascading downwards strike of his elbows against Dar's back if it connected correctly.

Dar's hand felt horrible. That was good. He turned the pain to anger and from there rage. He used it to fuel his movements as he grabbed his master's leg and twisted it and squeezed. Dar's natural strength along with his armor and the force must not have felt nice. Though his strike to the face seemed to have no effect so it was possibly a useless gesture. Not bothering to hide the curiosity and eagerness in his voice he asked "I am impressed. Exactly what arts are you using?"
[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos flipped himself in a spin so that his leg could get loose but the hold had still taken it's toll as it had also been the same leg that [member="Dar Moraal"] had kicked earlier. Erebos hid that he would limp for a few more minutes after this exchange, if there was one field Erebos could see them as equals it would have to be in martial arts. "I used Echani like you as well as, Stava and K'thri. I'm not as far advanced as you in Echani however." He said finishing with a slight chuckle.

Dar stood to his full height and bowed his head "I thank you for the compliment I hope it isn't too much to ask but in a later session may I learn Stava and K'thri?" His curiosity and eagerness showed in his question. "I am also eager to prove my worth to the company" he retrieved his sabers and holstered them under his cloak. Quickly he retook his apathetic and cold stance.
[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos smiled to himself under the mask when he heard [member="Dar Moraal"]'s eagerness. "Well if I'm going to teach you stava and K'thri, I will have to ask you to further my own knowledge of Echani as well." He chuckled as he moved the training sabers with the force to a cabinet at the end of the room and placed the training sabers into their respective container. "If you wish to contribute to the company then by all means. Do you have any ideas?" Erebos then asked as he gestured for Dar to walk with him out of the training room. He was going to show him around the station they were currently on, Erebos's crowning achievement when it came to his company.

Dar wouldn't mind teaching his master a few things about Echani but as for contributing... He pondered this for a few seconds before saying "I have contacts in the smuggling business they can supply top grade weapons if you wish. Or I can pay a visit to your company's rivals. I have my eye on setting up shop on Anaxes a large asteroid with a strong military background. I am sure the company can find a use for it possibly. I might be able to improve the security of your business or I can see if I can get something for your personal use such as.. a holocron or possibly a more useful scroll." Sadly he didn't have anything more concrete than this but you play the cards you are dealt in this galaxy. Usually however the strong can take more useful cards.
