A Pound of Flesh

The Sith Lord was being troublesome. Their always tended to be, but this one actually had some wits about him, and had made Cedric's journey far more arduous than it ought to be. The Nikto he'd captured a week ago had informed Cedric that his constituent knew the true location of the Jedi Master's quarry. Had Agraush not been under the effects of several truth serums and a mental probe, Cedric wouldn't have believed him. The alien's testimony could only have been true, or Agraush was simply a fool, but Cedric was rather certain of the rogue's competence.

The Nikto gave him a ship ID, and Cedric had gone on his way.

His aethersprite stealth fighter slipped through the void like a thin sliver of silver. It was entirely unknowable to anyone that did not get a visual confirmation, and any time a ship drew too close, Cedric's own vessel would simply shift to the color and texture of the void itself. It was a useful vessel, a tool forged by the Jedi Shadows to stalk unseen. It served its purpose here well enough.

The cargo-hauler moved slowly through the void. It was a simple thing to attach the Aethersprite to its undercarriage. The starfighter's scrambling systems made it so that the low-powered sensors on the transport would not pick Cedric's arrival up.

Pleased, Cedric donned his helm. His armor was vacuum sealed, and he found himself somewhat amused with the ease with which he opened the canopy of his vessel, and started walking along the outer hull of the transport. He reached out into the empyrean, and after finding a cordoned off bulkhead with no life forms inside, his ignited his weapon.

It carved through the outer skin of the ship, and Cedric wasted little time in easing himself through the hole. The venting atmosphere was quickly dispersed as the room within was entirely emptied. Were it not for his helm. Cedric surely would have suffocated in the void-filled room. Alarm klaxons began to blare along the transport as ray shields shot up to cover Cedric;'s entrance.

With due diligence, he began to carve through the doors that had sealed him from the rest of the ship. Soon, he would have his target.
