Axxila, often described as the Coruscant of the outer rim territories. As an ecumenopolis, it has vast wealth and population in equal amounts. Though much of the city is hidden beneath the surface, part in thanks to a hostile climate and an attempt to protect the wealthy industrial basin, it serves a beacon for enterprising businessmen of both the legal and illegal sectors.

As a planet under the Sith Empire, Axxila is watched closely by its overseers for any sign of dissidence or rebellion. At the edge of Oversector-II, it is under the greatest threat of espionage or subversive action. Moff TV-771, a Tactical Droid serving Grand Moff Aut-X , has decided to move its own minor fleet over the planet for two reasons. The official was to ensure the continued loyalty of the economic haven, as while the war further to the north had yet to reach the Oversector, paranoia regarding treason was as prevalent as ever.

The second reason was off the books, for the job TV-771 had planned was certainly nothing it wanted to gain the attention of its superiors. A series of pirate attacks and raids had disturbed the lucrative line of trade between Axxila and the greater Oversector-II, reflecting poorly on the Moff who was tasked with the defence and maintenance of such convoys. Perhaps due to a lack of ships, or merely incompetence, TV-771 has failed its mission repeatedly. Left desperate and in need of assistance, before the profit losses grow too much, TV-771 put out the call for bounty hunters, scoundrels, mercenaries, and smugglers looking to make a quick credit out of the pockets of the Oversector.

The mission is simple:
1. Protect the convoy ships and assist the escorts.
2. Ensure the cargo remains undamaged in transit.

Payment is negotiable but will be under-the-table. TV-771 has no intention of letting its superiors know of its continued failures.

Aboard the flagship of its small fleet, a Lucrehulk-Class Battlecarrier named the Trident, TV-771 awaits the arrival of its contractors. The message was open, though sent across the galaxy utilizing more clandestine means.

The flagship, crewed by droids that as far as TV-771 was concerned reported to it first, floated like a menacing battle station over Axxila. Nestled within the coreship, through a confusing series of similar, grey corridors and hallways, was a meeting room. A dull and drab as the rest of the ship, it was decorated with a massive holotable and dozen-or-so chairs. TV-771, seated at the head of the table so that is could both see any other seated members and the doorway, read through increasingly disturbing reports on the invasion of the Empire's northern reaches. It was not the losses of the planets or soldiers that concerned the droid, however, but the declining profit connected.

"A profit decline of 0.02%," It's voice was deep and as harsh as gravel and, despite being incapable of inflexion, displaying the droids perturbance, "How... disturbing."

Location: The Trident, Axxila
Objective: Meet the newest Moff/Assist the newest Moff

This was Alejandro's first official meeting as a Moff within the Sith Empire. He wasn't afraid of his colleagues nor was afraid to voice his opinion. Which brought him to why he was here.

"Very disturbing" he sat himself next to the tactical droid before reaching our his hand to meet his colleagues metallic one.

"I am Moff Chadian, Governor of Sector Group IV. And you are?"

TV-771 studied the organic Moff for a moment. It had, obviously, received reports on all of its 'co-workers', see 'unofficial rivals'. While Oversector-II was the most profitable of the of the five sectors, Oversector IV was certainly nothing to scoff at... If, of course, a droid had the capability to scoff. Still, it did not particularly find the presence of this human enjoyable. While TV-771, part in thanks to its extensive 'sleep' aboard its former capital ship, was technically the 'youngest' Moff, it still held its organic counterparts in low regard. After all, what was the point of using a meatbag as an officer when a droid could do it better?

TV-771 kept these thoughts to itself and accepted the man's hand, shaking it and keeping its words neutral.

"Moff TV-771, though you may refer to me as Bishop. My programming dictates that is easier to say and more calming for organics," TV-771 responded, attempting to make its tone more approachable but, naturally, sounding as needlessly aggressive and deriding as usual.

A pity.

"I was not aware our superiors sent you to... assist my operations, Moff Alejandro Chadian Alejandro Chadian ."

"They didn't. Perks of being a Moff. Enjoy the perks, hate the paperwork as I always say" The droid obviously didn't like him. It wasn't very hard to see and in his experience it seemed as though that was a trait common in Tactical Droids.

Grand Moff Aut-X must have been very proud of his new subordinate as the Droid Governor of Oversector II seemed to be obsessed with replacing organics with droids. Not exactly a bad idea, but not a great one either.

"Part of the reason I am here is to oversee the collection of taxes, overdue loan funds, you name it. During the Battle of Mygeeto we lost the main Credit Vault and now we have to stimulate our economy. Suggestions?"

Not responding immediately, TV-771 manipulated the console before it. A few moments of silence, interrupted only by the hiss and whine of distant machines keeping the Trident alive, passed before a massive hologram flickered to life over the holotable. It showed the Oversector, namely hyperspace routes large and small. Among the crisscrossing arteries of Oversector-II were dots of red, focused around major intersections. Each of these represented attacks against convoys sent from Axxia to other parts of the sector and beyond. Naturally, several of TV-771's more... risky and under-the-table ventures were not listed.

"A number of my convoys have been attacked since my deployment to Axxia. These freighters have been carrying a number of unprocessed materials and hyperdrive fuel," TV-771 turned to face the organic, its toneless voice coming across as equal parts annoyed and impressed, "Privateers and pirates alike have continually struck where my ships were not and always seem to know precisely which ships have what resources. I am unsure if this is outside enemy action or merely coincidence born of war, but the funds that could be gained from these trade fleets would significantly my... the Oversector's profit margins. However, my lack of adequate convoy escorts ensures I cannot defend everywhere at once, hence the attacks."

TV-771 leaned back upon finishing its spiel. Realizing that did little to answer the other Moff's question, it continued.

"The gross incompetence of Oversector-I is not my concern, Governor. The continued financial stability of Oversector-II is. So long as Oversector-II remains a net-positive venture, especially in regards to Axxia, then my mission is a success."

"I forgot you were a tactics droid. Your mission isn't just to ensure the well-being of this Oversector but of the Empire in its entirety. Those very words were told to me by the Grand Vizier himself" he bagn his 'rant' by repeating the words the Grand Vizier of the Empire himself.

"Besides, I wouldn't call the Industrial Heartland of the Empire incompetent"

"They're inability to protect their territory from enemy incursions is proof to the contrary." TV-771 retorted dismissively before turning its attention back to the holomap, "Perhaps you have faith in our colleagues, Governor, but I do not. However, the failed defence aside, I have a more important job to see to."

The hologram displaying a map of Oversector-II flickered before changing to a shot of several massive freighters. Each one seemed to be little more than a skeletal frame holding hundreds of large shipping containers, favouring speed over defences.

"My work here benefits the greater Empire just as it will this Oversector, but my loyalty is to Grand Moff Aut-X first. You seem to forget that, while the Grand Vizier and his ilk command the Grand Moffs, it is the regional governors who hold the true power," TV-771 finished, rising from its seat. It turned to face the organic, studying the man for a moment before speaking again.

"Do not worry, the financial windfall should this convoy reach its target destination should be more than sufficient. Does that placate you?" Of course, escorting this convoy personally had a second purpose, one TV-771 intended to keep close to its chest. After all, the pirates striking its convoys seemed to have an almost uncanny knack to know where its freighters stored their more lucrative goods or where they would be at a given moment.

It would not do for it to be common knowledge that TV-771 had funded the pirates to move resources and trade goods to avoid taxation, would it? Naturally, they did not take kindly to TV-771 pulling support when the tariffs on goods from its zone of operation were lifted. So, they began raiding convoys. Thus, TV-771s plan. The pirates may have moved their base of operations, but they would never give up the chance to strike a convoy as large as this one. One small tracker on a ship and their base would be in ruins by week's end! The droid would cackle if its programming did not dictate it was incapable of amusement of that sort.

"Fair point. But alas, I wasn't there and neither were you so let's keep our speculation to ourselves otherwise if wind got of you speaking like this, they might shut you down and send you to the scrap yards. I'm joking"

The Map detailing the convoy of freighters coaught his attention. Interesting was it that the Grand Moff hadn't assigned a System Fleet to protect, but then again Tactical Droids were known for thier brilliant strategies.

"And my loyalty lies with Grand Moff Madelyn Lowe Madelyn Lowe and the Emperor himself. True power, eh? True power lies in action and 'benevolence'. Or rather the appearance of if. In the end, power is determined by how effectively your superior believe you can wield ifpt" He air-quouted benevolence due to the fact that it had to appear as though you were showing it.

Citizens didn't need freedom, they needed to not stray away from the path before them. "We shall see if it placates me. I remind you am I not just a Moff. I am also a member of the Sith-Imperial Banking Clan so...impress me"

"It is not you that I answer to, banker." TV-771 said the title with as much derision as it could manage with its monotone voice before manipulating the hologram again. A pair of what were likely Recusant-Class Destroyers at some point appeared. However, both had clearly been outfitted with larger engines and more hull space, losing the skeletal appearance the ships were known for.

"Back to the subject of greater importance. My flagship is, unfortunately, incapable of keeping pace with the convoy ships. As such, I have been forced to make due with the horrible outdated and underperforming Recusant-class of ships. These two were custom made for the purpose of escorting convoys. Unfortunately, I only have four of them at my disposal." TV-771 deactivated the hologram and turned to face its organic counterpart once again, "The path is simple. Connected to Axxia by a straight hyperspace lane is Bondadan. Form there, the cargo my ships carry will be distributed as the Grand Moff's other subordinates see fit. However, all along this path there are pirates striking convoys; civilian or otherwise. I intend to take command of one of the escort ships and ensure the... annihilation of the pirates. There is no need to involve yourself, Governor."

No need, indeed! The last thing TV-771 needed was a member of the Banking Clan sticking his fleshy nose where it had no place being! If the Clan were to be made aware that TV-771 had been working with pirates to circumvent their tariffs and taxes... Well, it would certainly make TV-771's return to the galaxy a short one!
