Private A Royal Encounter

Iwata Jo-Kin

Junko smiled at that and Uyuki looked at her. "And you have the girls fawning over you... why me." She said it and was sort of crying as she sat there looking at them and Kirano moved with Tripitaka to follow and join her. They led the pirate queen away and to the skiff while disarming her and Kirano spoke. "Oh it is okay sweetie, she makes everyone cry... she is like a monster." Junko looked at the handmaiden and she shrugged while Junko moved over by Iwata. "Thank you for returning... I know she doesn't seem dangerous but she actually can do I don't want to say things well cause of the implications but she is more competent then presented here. The first time she did manage to raid and hijack my airship."

She said it and Uyuki was sitting there as she stopped crying and sniffled speaking low but still loud. "Mean monster with a lopsided butt." She said it resolute as several of the pirates thanked the princess for mercy and with no weapons or pockets aside from their rations took off running. The airships could be handled by her soldiers and used to help them as needed mostly for the mountains if they needed to move and it would give them a better range of sight. Junko looked from Iwata to Uyuki and spoke. "I... I do not have a lopsided butt... Iwata tell her I don't have a lopsided butt." She was looking at it or trying to moving around to crane her neck.

Iwata had learned much about the "Devil of Atrisia" that day. Uyuki was a source of mischief, but she was not to be despised, but pitied. It was clear the pirate woman was very jealous of Junko Ike Junko Ike . So much so that it seemed to be an obsession to maintain the sort of attention and power the Princess held. While her raiders we being disarmed, Kirano herself was almost comforting to the troubled outlaw.

Iwata had to stiffle a laugh when Uyuki said Junko had a lop-sided butt. Iwata didn't have to look to check. She had the opportunity to admire the Princess' body in all its glory while swimming. "Don't be hateful, the Princess has an amazing and perfect butt. As is the rest of her." Iwata said firmly, defending the Princess' beauty. Then Iwata bit her lip, wondering if she had gone overboard when describing the admirable attributes of their royal leader's backside.

Junko looked back at Uyuki and nodded. "See, an objective opinion. Now when you stop sniffling. I'll decide what to do with you. We aren't heading to a town so keeping you for the authorities would be difficult and we can't take you with us." She said it and walked forward as the girl looked at her. Junko walking over to her and lifting a few things from her belt like jewels and some silks. "So here, I am going to let you go.... this time. Please try and find something else... a life of crime is dangerous and you are too nice a girl to be around such ruffians." Uyuki looked at her and pouted for a moment as she took it. "You mean it? I can have it?" Junko nodded. "Can I have my ship back?" She shook her head. "No we are keeping the ship, when you learn to be a responsible member of society you can have it back." Uyuki looked at her and jumped up to stand there and smiled. "Then I accept your bribe to not capture all of you. Our bargaining is done." She took the jewels and silks and started running off away from the caravan as Junko looked at her go. "That has to be the worse pirate I have ever seen.... but she is so adorkable."

Iwata watched with great interest as the Princess engaged Uyuki. The Jade Screamer understood the dilemma. They were on an exploration expedition and had not easy way, or desire, to drag around a prisoner as well. Again, Junko Ike Junko Ike exhibited wisdom and compassion when dealing with the cute but highly misguided pirate. With the confiscation of her ship and the weapons of her now fleeing raiders, Uyuki would be harmless, at least for the time being. But to see the Princess actually give her gifts was unexpected. But pirates will be pirates, and the deluded Uyuki saved face by twisting the Princess' gift and free pass to make it appear like a bribe. The Princess was not bothered by the pirate's vain attempt to look good and watched Uyuki go on her way.

"It's a shame. Such a lovely face, and such a pathetic heart." The sergeant added. "I'm sure she will pop up again. Maybe some day you can turn her completely." Iwata said to the Princess. "She did manage to interrupt our progress. So she didn't completely fail in being a pain in the butt." Iwata mused, thinking again about Uyuki's funny comment about Junko's butt.

Junko watched her go off and waited until she was gone with a raised eyebrow but... then Iwata made a joke about a pain in the butt and she laughed. "Oh she will, the force guides her if she doesn't listen and she wants to be loved by the people... which is why they never threatened to kil us only wanted what we could part with. I won't say noble but she does have honor... even if she is misguided.... and mean saying my butt is lopsided the nerve." Junko said it and looked around for some defense but her handmaidens had suddenly become interested in many other things with Barca looking at the Longma and standing next to them and Sun mostly and Junko walked back to the skiff while motioning for the others to resume in the walks. The soldiers were reporting they had confiscated all the weapons and secured them while the pirates ran off and some had moved up the lines to the airships to pilot them and take over. "We will be able to keep going once whatever is distracting you all is done."

This time Iwata kept silent when the Princess fished for comments on the lopsided-butt comment. She still thought Junko had a lovely, well-proportioned butt. But the sergeant didn't want to look like an insincere suck-up. Instead, Iwata began to move with the others when Junko Indicated everyone should get back to work. Iwata indicated to Sun with a raised hand that she would be just a moment. She wanted to check in with Miyoung.

Finding the girl near Junko and her skiff, the Jade Screamer approached Miyoung. , Iwata waved. "I hope the information you are receiving is helpful. Sun and I plan to continue scouting the path we were on until we meet up with the others at the spot you suggested for tonight's camp. Unless you want have another suggestion."

Miyoung looked at Iwata and shook her head. "No nothing new yet.. we might get some better reports from the airships now but for movement we can use it and they can be made to set up advanced camps if needed going up the mountain." She said it and sat on the skiff near Junko who was looking at them and smiled to Iwata but she was glad for them to be able to begin while some of the things they had confiscated were taken to a pack and put in. Not much a few blades and pistols but Barca was checking them out in case there was anything rare or worthwhile. She looked at Sun and grinned. "Well that was exciting."

"Very well." Iwata nodded to Miyoung's reply. The Jade Screamers would continue scouting ahead, where the airships couldn't get good details of the ground. The sergeant then looked to the Princess as smiled warmly. Preparing to return to their longma, Iwata looked to Sun. The corporal was watching Barca rather intently as the Mandalorian inspected the weapons taken from the pirates.

"Not as exciting as it could have been." Sun replied to Barca. She was a little disappointed there wasn't more action. But as her sergeant had reminded her from time to time, the best fight is one that ends before it begins. "But it was interesting seeing the Uyuki in person."

Iwata cleared her throat, and Sun turned to look at her sergeant. "Oh, yes, back to work." The petite Jade Screamer quipped. She gave Barca a grin and a nod. "See you later." She added with one more look at the powerful woman warrior. Then she joined Iwata, the both left the skiff and returned to mount their longma. The headed out to pick up where they left off, just outside the abandoned farm

She offered a snickered to that and.... "Yes Uyuki is.... well she is a dear and if her family hadn't been killed she might have been the empress but then the sith came and plotted and she was only a child. No one would rally behind her leading the armies to fight back." She said it and was a little sad but then the girl had gone rogue pirate... kind of.... she was really trying. "But she has a lot of heart you saw she wants to be a pirate... and she does care about the people. We have been tracking a few things she does and she does buy things for herself but then she also donates and takes care of some people." Mostly they were older ones who lost their positions and properties under mythos who demolished it in Jar'kai. Barca off to the side looking up at Sun on the Longma and she crossed her arms with a smile and nod.

Impressed again by the Princess's patience and understanding towards the unfortunate Uyuki, Learning more about the woman left Iwata with more pity for the self-made pirate woman than annoyance. It was a shame Uyuki was so bent on going about things from the wrong side of the law and the regime.

"Do you think there is any chance she will change? She seems resourceful, if given the right motivation, she might even prove an asset." The Jade Screamer dared to suggest to Junko Ike Junko Ike . It was bold to appear to give advice to the ruler of Atrisia, but Iwata was simply stating what was in her heart, more to the woman Junko who had befriended her, than to the High Princess.

As for Sun, she sat proudly upon her longma, almost posing for the Mando woman looking up at her. "Don't miss me too much while I am out scouting." The petite Jade Screamer teased Barco, flashing a wry grin.

Iwata Jo-Kin

"Possibly.... it might take work she believes that she is supposed to be the ruler... which makes it difficult. We have never contested her, we have never denied her claim to being part of the court but she wants it because her family was not because she has the best ideas... intentions sure.. she loves the people... she wants to protect the people but her ideas are generally impulsive." Junko said it while Barca was looking at Sun and nodded. "I'll try though I do get to watch you leave twice now... so get to have a good time." She said it and laughed letting them go but returned to the skiff so that they would be able to continue forward. Junko bowing and climbing aboard so that they would be able to continue when the airships were going to feeding information to Miyoung who was updating the maps.

Iwata nodded, understanding the Princess' explanation. It was too bad, it seemed Uyuki could not be trusted with a place in the court, so was destined to try in vain to find her place elsewhere. "It's a shame." She shook her head. It was time to move on, and Junko Ike Junko Ike made her way aboard the skiff as Barca joined her.

Iwata mounted her longma and joined Sun. The corporal had a huge smile on her face after her farewell to Barca. They rode off, the multiple-legged beasts thundering away. Then launched their drones and sought the farm where they had been before Uyuki showed up.

Iwata Jo-Kin

Junko nodded as they headed off and she was looking at the screen to see what all of the drones were giving them in terms of information. Miyoung was giving her a clearer view on her interface while they were directing many of the other drones from the various soldiers that were moving out and around. Nari and Barca were going over with Kirano tactical plans in case there were other raiders or pirates but they could see more in the distance with the airships and it was feeding information to them as the soldiers in the airships went ahead to set up waypoints. THey would be able to go further without a need for resting where they would get to scout further from the air. THe mountains themselves something that they would be looking at to get a pathway all of them would be able to use to get up. The farmhouse coming into view for them as it was ruined... with the roof partially destroyed from snowfall and weight in areas... no door and the stables open with overgrown grasses all over.

Returning to the abandoned farm, the Jade Screamers took up where they left off. Dismounting their longma, the Sergeant and Corporal retreived their folded officer's blade and activated them. The collapsed blades instantly extended and snapped into full length, deadly swords. The walked past the open stalls of the lean-to stable, seeing nothing amid the overgrown grass.

The approached the partially overgrown farmhouse. Long abandoned and seemingly unfit for habitation for ages, the Screamers nonetheless entered the open doorway with caution. Iwata, in the lead, pulled a mini-luminator from her belt and shone the white beam of light around the structure as they entered.

Miyoung brought one of the drones around and was watching the farmhouse. Junko could see it and the partially damaged building had the pair of screamers going in. The drone couldn't find anything on its scans which was good... at least it didn't see anything large enough to be a threat. She pointed on the screen and was sending it into one of the smaller alcoves that were opened so they could scan. There wasn't a large space to keep going but some mice rushed past the screen. The audio sensors picking up little aside from movement but the drone was able to shine its lights down to illuminate areas of the farm house. Another going to the stables as it was checking over the things therre... where they would have kept longma were filled with more grass and some fallen wood. Lot of dust as the repulsors kicked it up. "It is unlikely but best ambush area would be from the muck it would disguise heat sensors and visual it is covered with grass and other stuff so you would have camo." Barca said it and was pointing it out on the screen.

As the Jade Screamers peered into the abandoned farmhouse, Miyoung's drones could be heard whirling overhead, one shining a light through the broken roof to illuminate the interior. The sudden light sent a handful of small rodent's scurrying for the shadows. Iwata heard Miyoung and Barca over the comms. The sergeant turned to Sun. "Why don't you go check out the stables again with the drone there, in case they are right about an ambush. I'll poke around here for a moment more then join you." Iwata instructed the corporal. Sun nodded and slipped out to make her way to the overgrown stables. She saw the drone hovering their and carefully approached the structure.

Iwata began to carefully check out the shadowy corners and alcoves of the old house while the drone provided light from overhead.

Iwata Jo-Kin

Junko peered over Miyoungs shoulder in the skiff and she was checking out more of it... wanting to get a better idea of the farmhouse and she could see from the drones perspective that they had while tracking the rodents. From the barn she could see the drones were being joined by Sun and had lights in the stalls with little probes able to be used and brighten the area. Barca was tracing with her finger in the air above the screen. "Could be but also just poodoo most likely. Her longma would likely sense them if anyone were there." Miyoung nodded her head in agreement but she was adjusting it and filtering the drones camera with different views. "Heat is low and cool for now but there is nothing residual so it should be safe corporal. We are moving past the path from the farm to the road."

Iwata continued to check out the last corners of the house. When Sun received word that the drones didn't see or sense anything in the barn, she entered for a final check. It seemed there was nothing of concern on the old farm, as far as danger for the expedition. The Jade Screamer sergeant slipped back out of the house, watching Miyoung's drones moving from the barn towards the road.

Iwata returned to her longma just as Sun was coming out of the barn. "Doesn't seem to be anything around here." The corporal reported as she too mounted her longma. The two Jade Screamers trailed the drones as the made their way back to the path they had been following before Uyuki showed up.

Iwata Jo-Kin

THe drones continued and were filling in more as the skiff went past the road and she was able to see more of it. Junko couldn't see the farmhouse but they with the others kept going forward. Barca was checking on some of it with her own drone and it. She was checking out more as the airships were reporting they had made it to the dam and one of the flood gate controls. To secure it in case someone wanted to get... deceptive as it were and try to drown them when they got close. Junko was looking at more of the maps and the dams controls were not near the dam itself they were a little off to protect them in case of flooding and damage they wouldn't be destroyed or possibly fail and open it. A small failsafe but they were checking it as the dam itself was still massive and the second airship was heading to the other control room on the far side where they could check it. "Good, secure those and in a few more hours we will make camp two hours before nightfall."
