A Runners Run-in with Reptilian Races

Slightly Paranoid Apprentice
“Mmmm…”

She kept angry comments to herself as he tried once more. Holding breath was a bad idea, and he seemed to go about that strategy wrong

“Well, it didn’t involve holding my breath and forcing it to come to me. What I do sadly cannot work for you, it’s different for everyone with you needing to find your own way to accomplish this during meditation, though I believe in you, you can do it”

"Mhm, it was hard to breathe and try and force it out at the same time." Bohatei explains, leaning back slightly as she was able to keep her own temper under control. The Zabrak purses his lips in thought for a moment. During this moment, Draco gives some more words of encouragement to her student, the young man turning and nodding his head softly in response.

"Yeah, you're right. I can do it." He spoke after a moment, closing his eyes again.

Wrestling control out of the Force's hands did not work for the Zabrak. Nor did reaching out and trying to collect it's presence for himself. With these lessons in mind, Bohatei focuses on not collecting the Force, but rather just reaching out to it. Like dipping his hand in a running stream, he allows it's presence to flow around himself, and in doing so, allows himself a steady connection to it.

Bohatei felt his innermost glow, the connection to the Force established and remaining. Although it was weak, and needed him to constantly focus on it. After a time, he opened his eyes and his concentration flickers away.

"I think I got it that time."

Slightly Paranoid Apprentice
Draco clapped and gave a bright smile, ecstatic to see Bohatei Chorva Bohatei Chorva succeed in establishing his connection and strengthening himself further! All he had to do was keep practicing and he’d be a master

“Good job! That’s how it’s done, and now that you have your strategy, you can strengthen yourself and learn new techniques… most likely under guidance though, just in case.”

Bohatei nods at Draco's words, the encouragement doing wonders for the Zabrak. Of course, in order to even use it he had to focus on the Force entirely, although that would just be something he needed to practice. A soft smile sits upon his features, remaining in that relaxed cross-legged position as they spoke some more.

"Thanks, Blues!" Bohatei beams, proud of himself for managing it on the third try. "Third time's the charm, after all! Now I just need to get into the swing of it. I still need to focus on just that, so I might take some time. Speakin of, though, what're we waitin' in orbit for? Is she meant to call us down or somethin'?"

Slightly Paranoid Apprentice
She gave a rather passive aggressive smile as Bohatei Chorva Bohatei Chorva asked where Arianna Belasko Arianna Belasko was. Draco did not know, and having to wait for so long made her slightly impatient, but the countess was a busy woman! She had a lot to deal with, and was probably in a meeting or something currently, and would be here soon

“That’s a wonderful question! It’s been a couple hours honestly… maybe she’ll be here soon?”

So she moved to call the countess once more and figure out what was going on

“Wait, seriously?” Bohatei looks surprised, glancing at a nearby clock and indeed seeing that they’ve been in orbit for a couple hours now. “Well, I’ll be damned! Time flies, huh Blues?” He remarks, leaning back and using his arms to support himself on the cool tiles beneath him.

The Zabrak watches his draconic companion try and make contact with her master a second time, curiosity in his seafoam-shaded eyes. He waited for a time, before asking yet another question. Having a bit of a restless streak, Bohatei found it hard to just sit still.

Especially with such opportunities now opened up to him.

“In the meantime, do you know of any other exercises we can do for connecting to the Force while we wait, Blues?”

Slightly Paranoid Apprentice
Draco crossed her arms hearing that she’d have to wait longer for Belasko to join them, and turned back to Bohatei

“Time does indeed fly when you’re having fun! As for exercises… try to connect to someone that’s force sensitive, like you were doing in the food court, or just try and lift stuff with your mind”

Bohatei shrugged his shoulders lightly, a smile on his features as Draco agrees with him. He was having alot of fun, and genuinely enjoyed the company and what he was learning with the drake. Overhearing the call between them, the Zabrak frowned a little.

Couldn’t be helped. Her master must be a very busy woman.
“Ah well. I’m sure it won’t take that much longer.” Bohatei comments.

At her suggestion of what the Zabrak should practice next, Bohatei nodded. Although, a new problem presented itself to him. He had no idea how he did it. Reaching out to the Force and letting it’s energy flow through him, Bohatei took a slow and deep breath.

“Hey, so, quick question. How do I do that?” He asked, doing his best to maintain the connection.

Slightly Paranoid Apprentice
Draco furrowed her brow in confusion. This is where the fact that she was not a good teacher would shine, because the next advice she told him was dumb as hell

“What do you mean? You did it in the cafeteria, just do it… more intense or something”

“I uh.. I mean I don’t know how to do it, Blues.” Bohatei laughed softly, finding humor in her advice rather than any genuine use for it. “Like I said, I just kinda looked at you and it happened. I dunno how to control it.” The Zabrak explains, managing to keep a straight face as he shrugged his shoulders.

Nonetheless, Bohatei would focus on that inner glow again. Taking a deep breath, the Zabrak would focus this energy he felt within his chest. He tries to be more aware of it, and to open himself to the Force.

Then, he looks at Draco.

Nothing.

Bohatei just kind of stares at her, trying to invoke his previously instinctual reaction with no luck.

Slightly Paranoid Apprentice
Draco stared at the Zabrak, blinking I’m confusion at how he managed to do it in the cafeteria but couldn’t replicate it here… she just sighed heavily and shrugged

“I do not know how you did it, or why you cannot replicate it now… how about you try to lift up a pen?”

Unable to get much more progress out of it, Bohatei lets his focus dissipate as he sighed in frustration. The only thing different now was that he was aware of his Force powers. Which was apparently enough to stop him dead in his tracks when it came to progressing his abilities.

When Draco suggested something else, Bohatei raises an eyebrow to the drake.
“Er, Blues, not to sound like a busted protocol droid, but I dunno how to do that either.”

Wearing: Diplomatic Gown

Armed with: Subverter's Blade (Red Double Bladed Lightsaber)

Objective: Meet with Draco Miles Draco Miles

Earlier...

"I really wish you gentlemen would think this through..." Countess Arianna Belasko said crossly to the Jedi Knight's that had cornered her aboard her Star Manor. They were Jedi Shadows, who had attempted to strike her down as she had meditated, hiding themselves with the Force. They were all dressed the same, brown robes and silver masks, armed with double bladed lightsabers

"You are under arrest for aiding and abetting the Rogue Sith Darth Xiphos. Surrender and we promise a fair trial."

"I got a better idea..." Arianna suggested. "How about I kick all three of your sorry asses, throw you into the the 'ol dungeon, and then stuff myself silly on Atrisian take-out?"

The Jedi leapt for her. A water tentacle conjured from the air and slammed into the first, knocking him into a wall. The second Jedi reached her, his Lightsaber scouring her face. But due to the nature of her enchanted flesh, it was highly resistant to Lightsabers as long as Arianna was being channelled.

A warmly glowing mark was left on Arianna's face, but no true scorch mark. No cut. Arianna still snarled savagely from the pain, staggering back. The third manifested Force Light and an inhuman, metallic shriek escaped her throat as her immaculately pale skin started to ripple and bubble disgustingly, like somebody working the CGI effects had gotten stone cold drunk and was just moving the dials and buttons for the hell of it, reflex, laughs, or all three...

The two Jedi still standing wanted to vomit as they saw this.

"...gross...ewwwww..." one of them said as Arianna began leaking glowing white blood from the corners of her mouth, flesh bulging and shuddering everywhere as she staggered back.

But her gown was countering it's effects. It was the only reason she hadn't caught fire...

She managed to get her Lightsaber out but not before the Jedi managed to cut a gash across her belly, this time leaving a dark scorch mark cut across it.

Arianna shrieked in pain, instinctively retaliated, managing to summon a small water tentacle that smacked him across the face, knocking him out cold.

The one still channeling the light channeled it more, increasing it's intensity. Arianna began at last to squeal in pain, the pig like shrieking making his blood turn cold at the the sound of it, her horrific warping flesh, seemingly trying to leap off the Skeleton itself even as it continued to stagger towards him.

He Force pushed it, violently shoving the shrieking monstrosity backwards. It seemed stunned as it hit the wall and he picked her up telekinetically and smashed her into the floor repeatedly, getting glowing white blood everywhere...

A sphere of solid water was conjured around his head, and he panicked, dropping her as he tried to use his own telekinesis to keep it from flowing into his nose and mouth.

The bubbling hissing witch staggered to him, half the flesh sloughing off a pearly white Skeleton as she got closer, him dropping to his knees, frantically trying to hold whatever air was left in his lungs as her bubbling hand reached out.

Arianna grabbed him, just as he slashed her face with a Lightsaber, this time leaving a severe cut that spilled white blood everywhere. She conjured a hammer of water to one of his ribs and broke it, and he dropped in agony as she fell upon him, Non-Lethally draining his Psychic Energy as opposed to his life force to regenerate herself. She ate weeks and months of memories, which would leave him with major memory loss. And not a moment too soon...that telekinetic attack had hurt badly. She had barely been able to focus enough to drain him.

Her flesh rapidly reset on her Skeleton until she was her immaculate, pale self again, ripping all the blood out of her gown with her hydrokinetic abilities, she reshaped it all into binding runes to prevent them from using their powers, literally branding their arms with her blood.

"Your energy tastes much better than take-out..." Arianna hissed, hands reaching out to drain more...

Later...

Arianna had arrived at Khemost with Atrisian Take-Out for Draco (Arianna enjoyed spoiling Draco, giving Draco's previous rotten apprenticeship to the nerf herder that had given her those scars)

Arianna, being Arianna, had chosen to have a palace built in the snowy mountains of Khemost. It was small. Modest. Lavish. The old manor would have to be relocated.

Arianna had just barely gotten in when she at last received the transmission from Draco as she entered her private study in the Palace. Draco had sent word she was bringing a prospect.

Arianna reclined on a lavish sofa in a central chamber filled with artwork that doubled as a training room, looking at her nails as Draco again contacted her.

"Draco! So sorry to keep you waiting like that. I just got in. I'm sending you the coordinates to my palace... docking pad will be visible...welcome home..." Arianna said pleasantly, before reclining again on her seat with a contented sigh, still metabolizing that Psychic Energy.

Arianna, after turning off the Comlink, burped. It wasn't a regular burp either. It was a Barney from the Simpsons kind of burp.

“Focus on trying to lift the pen with your m—“

She was looking at a pen on the floor when the transmission came in for her to come in and land on the pad, she shot straight up realizing she was the one that was slightly special as she turned to her closet, realizing some elegant wear would probably be best

“@Bohatei Chorva, give me a hand putting this dress on, will you? We’re going to a palace to meet her apparently… as for you? Uh… well, you’re fucked in the department of clothes, I don’t have any men’s clothing, though I’m sure she won’t mind”

She said all this while looking at him, giving the respect of eye contact before moving to her closet to pull out an extravagant and elegant dress, high backed to keep her scars hidden too, it was a dark blue inlaid with emerald gems that was low cut in the front. Personally, Draco loved the dress, it was personally made for her for a life-day banquet, but it obviously had more uses than that, and Draco planned to use it as much as possible… problem was it was a pain to put on, so it wasn’t used too much, that’s why she asked Bohatei for help

“I’ll be right there, Master”

She said gladly to Arianna Belasko Arianna Belasko as her ship disconnected from Bohatei’s safely with both air locks retrieving the respective parts they had used in docking together before it began moving for the designated landing pad for it. At least they had enough time to get Draco dressed!

"I mean, yeah, I get that part but I dunno ho-"

The Zabrak's confusion was cut short when Draco's communicator started ringing again. A sequence of coordinates followed, no doubt going to her vessel's Navicomputer as the drake shot up to her feet. Bohatei follows suit, hopping up into a standing position and stretching. His connection to the Force dissipates soon after, unable to maintain it well yet.

"Yeah, sure." He replies, going to help Draco into a fancier dress for the occasion. While the smile seems relaxed, under the surface Bohatei's mind raced. 'Shit, she is one of those royal types..'

"It's cool, Blues. I've got a dress shirt back on my ship. Sure, I won't be looking as nice, but it's somethin'."
Bohatei affirms, giving a light pat to her shoulder. "I'll catch you planetside." He added, stepping out of her room and back towards the Contact V. Slipping into his own 'suit'. Or, rather a simple white dress shirt and blue tie. Other than that, he keeps the standard work pants he wore before with his boots.

The Ghtroc-series freighter moves back slightly behind Draco's, following her down to the planet they sat in orbit of. The Zabrak's vessel lands on a pad just opposite of Draco's, Bohatei taking a little bit longer to collect himself.

As best as he could, anyway.

Stepping off of the boarding ramp of the Contact V, Bohatei moves over to Draco's vessel to meet her there before they departed to meet their teacher.

So, the two of them would enter the central chamber room, escorted by Arianna’s servants since they didn’t know the layout of the castle. Draco had a bright smile on her face seeing Arianna Belasko Arianna Belasko once more, each time she was more and more happy to see her because of how good their relationship was. Stepping in front of that lavish sofa, Draco bowed out of respect then introduced her new friend

“Master, I bring before you today a new prospect, he’s sensitive in the force, but is… basically brand new, I’m not too well versed in training people, so I figured it best that you aid him in discovering his potential! I believe he can achieve great things with your help, as he’s already showed proficiency in spying, albeit involuntarily”

She kept it rather vague so that Bohatei Chorva Bohatei Chorva could pad up his own resume with what he learned aboard the ship and even his struggles. Arianna would help him, Draco was sure of it

Bohatei's eyes wandered around as they were escorted. Having been used to smaller and cramped spaces throughout his life, such a wide and elegant hall was an alien experience to the Zabrak who watches Draco as she gazes up to her superior who laid upon the couch. The Zabrak watches his draconic companion bow, following in short order and kneeling down.

Then, he responds to his introduction with a small wave.
"Your highness." Bohatei greets, suddenly stopping and dropping his hands and bowing again. Even a blind person could tell he had zero idea how to talk with royalty.

"What Blue-I mean, what your student here says is true. I am Force-Sensitive, but I have no real idea how to use it." He explains with honesty. "Truth be told, that spying bit was on accident. It's... difficult, to learn something new like this. I know how to tap into it, but that's it. I don't know how to reach out with it, it's like trying to fly with no instruments, it's-" Bohatei stops himself from rambling too much about his difficulties.

"But nonetheless, I really do hope that you would consider taking me on as an apprentice. If you'd have me, that is."

Arianna awaited on the sofa, smiling as Draco Miles Draco Miles , smiling a little further as Bohatei Chorva Bohatei Chorva went through his awkward greeting.

"Why Draco, I'm delighted you are so proactive as always." Arianna smile, rising from the sofa, the light from above making her already pale flesh brighter looking, blue eyes observing every facet of the young man.

"An untrained mind..." Arianna mused. "Yes...I see the potential, certainly."

The light glanced off strangely on her metallic gown.

"Introductions are in order. My name is Arianna Belasko. I am the Countess of Khemost. I specialize in The Force, yes. And indeed I could tutor you. But I am a Sith Lady. What I teach is best achieved with emotion. With passion. So what I ask of you is this--are you willing to harness and master your emotions? And what is your greatest passion?"

Bohatei just smiles up towards Arianna, the strained corners of his lips betraying the rest of his relaxed demeanor. In his own eyes, he had thought he had made quite a fool of himself, a brief emerald gaze turning towards Draco. The way the drake was addressed brought at least some degree of comfort, having half expected things to take a much worse turn.

Her oceanic orbs don't see anything particularly special about the Zabrak before her. Nothing but a white sleeved dress shirt, blue tie and long pants. Beneath that exterior was a sizeable wellspring of potential, although most of it had been concealed and locked up under a firm belief that he was not Force-Sensitive.

After all, he was never picked up by those fancy robed folks, what reason would he had to believe it?

Bohatei's eyes squint slightly, the shimmering light from her gown giving a bit of reflection into his eyes. He shimmies to the left just a little to get out of the way of the metallic gown's light, smiling after.

"I'm Bohatei Chorva. A cargo runner for the Confederacy." He returns the greeting with a small smile. His blonde brow piques curiously when she explained that she was a 'Sith', whatever that meant. The word clearly goes right over the Zabrak's head, who simply nodded. "Yes, ma'am. I'm willing to take control of my emotions." He agreed. At the question of his passions however, Bohatei's expression furrows slightly. "Honestly, ma'am, I've been pushin' boxes around for a couple years now. Can't really... think of anythin' that I'm too passionate about. Just sorta... went, y'know?"

Slightly Paranoid Apprentice
Draco gave a thumbs up at Arianna’s compliment to her being productive and proactive! New recruits and friends to house Io were always needed, and Draco was elated to meet new people, good or bad. It was practice for her poorly developed social skills OR practice for combat using her new force abilities, such as hydrokinesis.

“Thank you, my lady”

Draco said with another slight bow as she held her position and listened to the two chat, smiling slightly trying to keep herself from laughing at the thought of a burning passion for lifting boxes, but she had an idea for something he had a burning passion for.

“Perhaps a passion for engineering and repair work? You seemed fairly skilled on that when we were talking about the armor”
